Myperfect resume
I went through the process of creating a resume and enter my payment information. An error message tells me that my information was wrong and to try again. I try twice more and it still says the same thing. I check my bank account and there has been three (3) charges on my account of 2.95 and (3) credits like I was charged and refunded the money back. I call customer service and the agent claims he can't find any activity on my account. He then says he is going to escalate the call and someone would get back to me on another day. Raggedy and shady service. People don't mind paying for a service as long as they get their service. This is the second time I have had an issue with my perfect resume.
Desired outcome: I want access to my resume and not be charged any other fees outside of a one time 2.95. f

Resume Builder
It's not disclosed that there's a cost to get the resume -your resume- that you've been working on until you've spent hours working on it, and you feel forced to pay for it. After the initial cost of 2.95, there's a subscription cost of 25 USD per month - which they also try to not disclose.
On top of this, unsubscribing is made immensely difficult - I've had to go through several support reps for several hours in order to cancel my subscription.
This is fraud and should be treated as such.

They are a legal scam.
Monthly Subscription Charges
Signed up for what I thought was "$2.95 for 14-Day Full Access" - reasonable for a one-time resume on a site that was very user friendly. In the smaller print below, you are signed up for a monthly subscription. This "fine print" also shows up in the bottom of your first receipt. I've now been charged $104.95 (3 months @ $34.95) for a one-time resume.
This is incredibly misleading. When I filed a complaint through their website, I was told this is all out in the open for the customer, no hidden fees, "not written in a minuscule way" and I knew up what I was signing up for, however they would try to help me get a refund. I got $17 back for the partial month I just cancelled. What a joke.
I have asked them to escalate this as I want the full refund, or I will escalate to by bank and attorney. I told him - if this company truly believed in it's product and believed they were being upfront, they wouldn't have an many complaints as they do. They proceeded to tell me about all the good reviews they have and try to convince me to stay for $9.95/month instead. Seriously?
Desired outcome: I want a full refund of my $104.95.

They trick students to signup with $2.95 and start charging monthly fee.
They trick students to signup with $2.95 and start charging monthly fee. When asked to cancel they dont cancel and come up with a scheme to continue.

I got duped as well. Signed up and paid for a resume. I had no idea that they were charging me $25 a month on top of what I paid for the resume. I plan on filing a complaint with the better business bureau come Monday. If they are going to charge a monthly fee it needs to be stated clearly on the sign up page.

Hidden fees
The $2.95 is not just $2.95. It’s also the $34 charge that comes after! They are not clear on their pricing whatsoever and don’t show you pricing until after you spent all your time writing a “free” resume. 100% regret using this site just for that reason.
The resume builder was great! But the “hidden” fees are enough to stop me from recommending this site. I should’ve been more careful. They should look into making their pricing more accessible on the website.
Desired outcome: Refund preferred. Thanks.

Charged after cancelling
Used the service for one day, then cancelled. Found out they had been charging me for MONTHS a $23.50 charge on my card and I just caught it. The guy on the chat box refused to refund me since he has "no recollection" of the cancellation. I asked for him to please dig in to refund the months that were past the date of cancellation (october) and he refused to look at anything, simply just cancelled it and said i wouldn't be charged any longer. Absolutely ridiculous. I paid for one template and they charged me for months. This business is a scam.
Desired outcome: Refund of months I did not use the service.

Myperfectresume.com
I wanted to update my resume. I paid around $3.00 to do that. That's all I wanted. To update and print my resume. That was July of 2021.
Turns out that I HAVE BEEN PAYING ALMOST $25 PER MONTH FOR THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS! How?! This is nothing but a legal SCAM. I NEVER KNOWINGLY signed up for a subscription! What in the world does anyone need a subscription for to get a resume? Buyer beware! Do NOT use this company!
I called during their business hours and after holding for fifteen minutes for someone to answer, I hung up. I emailed them. I cancelled the subscription I never knew I agreed to, and immediately called my bank. My bank is working on getting my money back. I cancelled the card I used because it looks like myperfectresume.com still charges people after they've cancelled their subscriptions. If I had not noticed this, they would have been charging me for many more months, until that card expired. Just read the same complaint from others -- people are subscribed without their knowledge. That means the company is guilty of unethical business practices, to say the least. They should be reported to the proper regulatory agencies.
I used them ONCE for a resume. Never logged on to that account again. I want a refund for those bogus charges.
Desired outcome: I want my eight months of payments returned to me immediately. Looks like they owe me around $200.

Shady and deceitful business
I bought the two day pass two weeks ago, and just saw that I’d been charged $23.95 for a monthly subscription yesterday. Didn’t get an email confirmation that I’d been signed up for a subscription. Guess I didn’t read the fine print. If there even was any.
I understand though, they have to do it that way, lie and deceive to get people to subscribe because who would want or need to have a monthly subscription to a resume service? Most people I’m sure only need it briefly.
Sure glad I randomly checked my account today. Let’s see if they honor the cancellation, guess I’ll have to check again next month.
Desired outcome: I want a refund.

They did the same thing to me. It's a legal scam. I asked them to provide a screenshot of my agreeing to these charges. They can't provide that. They charged me EIGHT TIMES. They are crooks! I'm glad you find out after one charge. You might get a new card number to prevent these thieves from charging you again.

Billing
I went online and cancelled my trial subscription. then five days later they took 23 dollars out my account and said that they did'nt receive my cancellation. Cancelled the subscription kept my money and said Sorry and have a nice day.
This is so unfair and life goes on, I would'nt recommend this service to anyone.
now I cant get back into the account to check details on the account because I'm locked out this is crazy and unfair.
Desired outcome: Give me my money back ,I don't have 23 extra dollars.

Billing fraud
I have never subscribed to this site but apparently, I have been charged since April last year (2020)for £16, 95 every month!
I was having financial difficulties and was just paying interest on my credit card, never dared to check my credit card transactions until I was able to pay off the whole balance and then to my surprise I realised that I have been billed for a subscription that I have never signed to. Nowhere on the site was stated that I would be charged monthly, and I did not sign up for any subscription, I just paid the fee to be able to download my resume, and now they are deducting money from my account every month. I DEMAND A REFUND, THIS SITE IS A SCAM, FRAUD.
Desired outcome: I DEMAND A REFUND:

It is a scam indeed. They must be stopped. They charged me $200 without my knowledge or consent!

Billing for my resume
Wow, this company is so wrong. What a bunch of crooks they are! I was charged $3.95 to assist me with my resume, that's fine I will pay a mere $4 bucks to set up a good template and have good verbiage on my resume.
BUT NEVER, NOWHERE, NOT ONCE DID I SEE I WOULD BE BE BILLED $23.95 EACH MONTH AFTER THAT! WHY DO I NEED TO PAY $23.95 EACH MONTH FOR JUST SETTING UP A RESUME?!
I'm thankful I check my bank account consistently and noticed this withdraw. After I called and complained, I was only refunded half of that too.
This company should be in mega trouble for what they are doing to people.
Desired outcome: Full refund.
this is currently happening to me as well. except the first time this happened they straight up told me that i have no subscription. theyre literally stealing from me. if i was extremely rich i could prolly get them in legal trouble or somethin
Contact the FTC and the BBB. We all have been scammed and need to shut this company down.
Charged $71 for one resume
As many of the posts I just viewed, I wish I saw this post before I gave my CC to my Prefect Resume. They Charged me $71 for one resume. After I agreed to $2.95. Too good to be true, I should of known. I'm calling tomorrow. I hope i can get it back. Big Scam
Desired outcome: $68.00 Refund
My perfect resume
[protected] is my account number for the company & have noticed on my bank statement I was charged $34.95 for the past 9 months! I thought it was $2.95 as clearly advertised! The re occurring charges I apparently signed up for are unjustified & inflated. I have lost all trust in this company for misleading me. Keep my money, my loyalty to you has gone & I will never use you or recommend you to friends & family for your deceiving advertising.
Desired outcome: Change the way the fees are advertised be transparent
Charged fees I was not told of
I was today charged $34 for using this service. NOWHERE did it say I would be charged this. I signed up to use it for the free period understanding I would be charged about $5 following that period. I want this company to refund my money. I contacted them however they have not responded. Their dishonesty about their charges is misleading and also under the accounts section of my profile it does not state the amount to be charged, only that I'll be charged each month, which I did NOT sign up for.
Desired outcome: Refund
Unauthorized payment charges
I was using My Perfect Resume around May or June this year. I did not purchase any plan that cost £18 or more. It keeps taking my money every month until now (December 2020). The amount of money was various, sometimes is£18, sometimes is £19 or£20. I did not get any notification or receipt for this. I have requested a refund of all the payments. However, I only get the refund for this month. I do not understand how the plan works but I was trying to get an explanation from the customer support team but they just ignore my question. They keep saying that we have cancelled and refunded your MyPerfectResume subscription. You should have received a confirmation email for your records. I just wanted to know why is it taking my money when I did not purchase any plans.
Unsolicited membership
I went on this site once and did the trial so I could download a template, cancelled my subscription that night, and realized they've been charging me for a year! Not only that, they opened three different accounts in my name with my credit card info and charged me for three subscriptions.
When I realized, I called and the woman I spoke to told me she couldn't give me/send me any confirmation and was super rude. I didn't believe her so I called again and got a different customer service agent. He said none of my accounts had been cancelled and that he would definitely give me a cancellation number and that I would automatically receive a cancellation subscription.
This site is a scam
Billing
This site uses employs questionable business practices to extract money from customers. Once you create an account, they make it very difficult to cancel the account. I created an account in May when I was furloughed. By July, I was re-employed and closed all of my accounts for all resume services on 6/13. Due to unforseen chaos, upheaval, and personal tragedy, I only recently noticed that I was still being charged for this service. So I logged in and attempted to once again cancel the account. This time I was unable as the button which confirmed the cancellation was disabled. So I wrote customer service and explained the situation, requesting a refund of all charges since 6/13. The account was cancelled and I was refunded the month of Nov. So I wrote yet again and was refunded only 2 additional months and was told that was all they could do. These deliberate obstacles to cancellation shouldn't be allowed, and given the times, feels especially predatory. I'll be warning everyone I know to steer clear.
Deceptive practices
When I reviewed their service (resume) I wasn't very impressed so I canceled to cut my losses (only $2.98) but little to my surprise they charged my account 15 days later. I called their customer service line to dispute this charge. When you first call they ask to verify who you are to locate your account information. Well apparently the customer service rep whom I engaged was not privy to this information. Richard (employee #262) 🙄 wouldn't let me speak and would keep cutting me off or talking over me when I was trying to ask a question. So I ask him for a supervisor to help resolve this issue. He proceeded to tell me there wasn't one on the premises. I asked if he was working from home or was he remote. He said he was in the office. I then asked if someone there that I could converse with besides himself. Richard said that's not how this works they will contact you with the number I provided. So I asked for an eta on the call back he said he has no idea. When asked to get some one he put me on a brief hold and came back and said they were other wise occupied. I then asked what would be the name of the supervisor calling he said either Steve or Charlie. After a few more moments of banter back and forth I grew weary of his circle talk so I let him end the call. As I expected I have not received a call back on this issue. This is not best site for resumes but that was not my complaint it was how deceitfully this was handled. If it say call customer service for any issues shouldn't customer service be able to handle any customer issues? 🤔 I will be telling all my customers and friends about this experience and how it has never been resolved during this pandemic. Great job sarcastically of course.
Official fraud
If you just need 14 days subscription and just 2 -3 times download your resume they charge less amount. But after if you forget your subscription they continue to charge $24 for every 4 weeks. This is an exact fraud. This is abused. Please think 2 times if you give to any website credit card information or we can generate a temporary credit card.
I hate most of all companies try to charge fees depending on their subscription. They will say " O but you signed our subscription. Then you should pay for other fees. " This subscription not clear. They try to charge with the agreement terms written in small letters.
