recurring charges
I used this service to help a friend who just graduated from college build a resume. I was't aware that I would be receiving a $24.95 monthly recurring charge. The website is certainly unclear on this.
I blame myself for not checking my credit card bill.
When I googled, this is what comes up: "Myperfectresume.com: Build your perfect resume for free"
This is simply a heads-up to those who are thinking of using this service. Check the fine print.
"free"resume template is a big scam don't give your credit card info!
Total SCAM...Very deceiving. Do not use this so called service. "Free" Resume template it is a lie...once you do your resume you are charged $2.99 which after all the effort you put into creating it you can't print it unless you pay so you don't want it to have all been a waste of time so you give your credit card info...bad enough to get ripped off for 2.99 then only to find you've been getting unauthorized charges $24.95 a month for the last 4 months! Nowhere is it clearly stated that you are signing up for a recurring payment or for any other service other than that mistake of using their free template! And received no emails or any correspondence from them during the time they were supposedly being of any sort of service to me!
recurring charges
My credit card has been charged for services that I have not received for 6 consecutive months. Lucky for you that I did not realize it until this month. I will not pay you another red cent! I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and I will spread this on social media so that you do not keep doing this to others. I have also informed my credit card company of this fraud and disputed all charges. I paid for the resume service for the initial template. NEVER did I authorize you to charge me 5 more additional times.

Your website and debit scheme is incredibly misleading as has been documented through the through the many public complaints: https://www.complaintsboard.com/.../my-perfect-resume...
I created a resume on your site and signed up, paying the small upfront fee in good faith. Since then you have been making the above withdrawals without my consent and not clearly stating it which is in violation of recent changes to Australian Consumer Law.
I have lodged a formal complaint with Australian Consumer Protection.
Once again, I am formally requesting a refund of the $207.90 AUD and complete removal of my account from your website.
Thank you,
David Salvaire

unauthorized credit card charge - bills even after cancellation
I signed up for a trial period, looked at it one day, and then clicked "Cancel Subscription" at the bottom of my account page. Three weeks later, I was charged $24.95. I called and spoke with a customer service representative who sounded very suspect to me. He assured me my account would be cancelled, could not and did not even try to explain why the account was not cancelled through the website. STAY AWAY
false advertising
Stated a fee and I paid it. Now I see a reoccurring fee taken from my bank account. The resume service was awful, basically a form with fill in the blanks that any company would recognize.
Tried to cancel today and hopefully this will be the end of fees. I have now paid over 75 bucks for a piece of trash.
I wish I had read other reviews besides the ones they decided to post on their site to mislead consumers.
I am now going to look into the possibility of a class action lawsuit against this place.
It is sad to know that people, like me, who are trying to make a difference in the world, are bring taken advantage of. Why does this company have such disagreeable business practices?
Do the right thing!
horrible monthly charge without any notice
I hardly check my Credit Card bill, and when I check today, I was shocked about an unknown payment for 34.95; when I search online, I even don't know what it's about. And after I tried all of my email accounts, I found out which one it is.
Firstly, I only use it for once for one resume on 2016.
Secondly, I have NEVER EVER receive any notice for their bill payment.
Third, It's continuously for two years without any notice.
Please do not use anything called "auto renewed" to explain.
Even Amazon, they will remind me when my prime will be auto renewed;
when i check the bill for two years, 900 dollar is gone for only one resume.
Keep charging for two years with NO NOTICE is definitely NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I don't know if there's any department that I can report it.
IF ANYONE KNOWS, please let me know. Thanks
unauthorized credit card charges + unethical behavior + scam ripoff
I have allowed payment on 18-12-2017 one time to your company my perfect resume. All the rest deduction made (at 02-01-2018; 31-01-2018; 27-02-2018; 24-04-2018 and 22-05-2018) 149.7 USD In aggregate is without my complete consent and completely out of my knowledge. I have unsubscribed today as I checked there is a monthly subscription by name made. I am fully aware I didn't made that agreement. After LiveCareer US Customer Care send the following refund email on May 29 at 8:01 PM [... Unfortunately, due to terms and conditions, we are allowed to process 1 full refund for $24.95 that was already process. However, I spoke with my supervisor regarding your situation and she approved 2 additional refunds for $24.95 each one. The total amount we refunded was for $74.85 and unfortunately, that is the maximum amount we are allowed to process. If you have any questions or concerns, simply reply to this email or give us a call at [protected].}
I have been again debited three times in a day (5/29/2018). Yes your company took a whole new 74.84 usd from my account in the same date I recieved an email for a refund of the same amount of 74.84 usd. This is yes after your scam company stated in the email to refund half of the previous an authorized deduction 74.84 usd.
Yes Now your company needs to do the following immediately :-
1) cancel my subscription and send me a confirmation of the cancellation 2) credit my bank account for all the charges OR else I would be contacting my state's attorney general's office. This is absolutely daylight robbery. So, I will do everything in my capacity to get my money back. you don't know how I invest every drop of my sweat to get that money. 1) I demand the refund of my 224.4 usd and or at least the previously agreed 149.6 usd! 2) by this email I am demanding the complete removal of my account [protected] registered by my name [removed]. Please respond soon and end this scam money embezzlement from hardworking people

unethical behavior
Wow, you guys sure do have your justification blurb down pat! That must be because you have to dispense it so often. I am so sick of shady business practices, and you are a major contributor. Why would anybody willingly pay $25/month to be in a "resume club"...you know exactly what you're doing. You're hoping that the consumer is too busy to read the fine print, and that they trust they will not be taken advantage of. You got me! Congratulations. Don't worry - I'll help get the word out on your awesome "resume club"!
-Hello, Kelley McCauley!
Thank you for the feedback! Again we want to apologize for any confusion this may have caused. However, as we mentioned previously on your second feedback we want to clarify some information regarding our products and services.
Our free account gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, e-mail or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription, these are NOT listed as features included with a free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free.
For the benefit of our users, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee. When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, you are automatically enrolled in our monthly subscription service, which we let you know at this stage that you may cancel at any time.
When we request your credit card information, we clearly explain that unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription. The auto-renewal information is listed on multiple areas such as the sales page, payment page, processing the purchase and after the purchase on the confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation e-mail immediately after you complete your enrollment process stating the date and amount of the auto-renewal. (Automatic emails can get redirected to your spam/junk folder, so be sure to check these folders if you cannot find this email.)
Please contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

reoccurring charges
My 17 year old daughter was told to use this sight by her teacher and create a resume. Which we did and I paid once. I did not expect to be paying every month. I have not been able to get in touch with the company via email or phone as the number says it is not connected. I am so disappointed that they continue to take $36 out of my account every month and I have no was of cancelling this payment which I should have to make any way.
online resume
I am being charged on a regular basis for a one of service, this is illegal and stealing. I have contacted my bank and it cant be tracked. This charge needs to be cancelled NOW! I will take this further to an ombudsman for help to have this cancelled.
There should be no ongoing charges for a simple service that you advertise.

monthly service scam
Clearly i'm not the only person who got misled into paying MyPerfectResume.com $2.95 to download my resume and got charged a monthly service plan.
Yes, the 4-week charge is mention in the terms and conditions which is what makes this a scam. People don't read the terms and conditions because companies usually don't hide subscriptions in it!
If they were up front about it people would NOT sign up! What they're doing is unethical and very much a scam. I want my money back!. Account ID [protected]
resume service
The site isn't upfront that there is a fee for using the service. At the end, after you've spent a lot of time creating the resume, then they charge you for it. You cannot email, print or download without giving them money. There isn't anything additional to add. Basically you are offered to use the service with no mention of a cost. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. There isn't anything additional to add. I told you what happened - they trick people into giving them money to save the work they have created.
deceptive billing practice
I signed up under the auspices of their trial, paying in two transactions on my credit card statement, one in the amount of $1.00 and the other in the amount of $.95.
I did so after I'd spend time building my supposed "free" resume, It said the subscription would expire in either 7 or 14 days.
I literally used the service ONE day, the same day that I signed up for the trial on and did not continue using it. I'm assuming it was a 14 day trial because my credit card was charged on the 28th of December, 14 days exactly after the initial charge.
After a short period of time I started to notice a fee of $24.95, repeatedly. I was confused because when I entered and agreed to the trial subscription it said the subscription would expire after 7 days.
I never received a confirmation email that my subscription was no longer on a trial and that I would be billed continuously each month. At no point did I EVER receive a confirmation letter stating that I would be charged an extra $24.95.
I called in to their supposed customer service department today to dispute the multiple charges that I have incurred from My Perfect Resume and despite the fact that he CONFIRMED I HAVE NOT USED THE SERVICE since the day that I signed on for the trial, his only answer was that he would cancel it today. No refund, no good faith.
I said that I could dispute it with my credit card company but would rather save each of us from the hassle and his answer was that it is my preogative to pursue this issue with my credit card company. Buyer beware. I wish I would have researched and found all of these complaints before giving them $1.95 let alone a nickle more.
Try a reputable service like TopResume.
By the time you get charged all of these bogus fees with My Perfect Resume you will be much further ahead of the game and end up with an excellent resume. That's who I ended up using for my resume assistance.
unauthorized billing
I was told I will be charged 1.95 and was charged 24.95. I requested the money back, but was not coming. Is this a fraud website? Please let me know.
I spoke to the representative and she said the money will be refunded, but not yet. THis was almost 3 months ago. Kind of gave up on it, not knowing if there is a problem with the bank Please let me know why I was not refunded. Where should I complain>?
extra charge
I paid $2 for subscription and that was supposed to be a trial. There was nowhere said that later I'm going to be charged extra $25!
When MyPerfectResume took money from my account I contacted them to ask what was going on.
They said that was a monthly payment, but when I told them that I only wanted to try their site and paid for trial they did not reply.
I made my small research and found out that many people complain about the same thing. In my opinion this site is running a scam and they are not to be trusted! Don't give them your card information, they will try to steal from you!
Same problem! I used their website to write a resume for only $1 free trail. They kept charging me $34.95 per month for almost 4 months without any notice! It is illegal. I even don't know where is the price coming from! They also won't picked up your phone.
company refuses to refund for a service I didn't use
Used this service once during a 14 day trial, cancelled by phone but was still charged monthly. And the charges just kept piling up. Have called at least three times to get refunded and each time an operator looks at the account, 'escalates it to a supervisor' who they promise will call me back within 3 days...but no one ever calls back. Extremely poor service. They can clearly see that I have not used the service only one time during a free trial yet they are refusing to refund me. This has been dragging on for a year now. Moral is, beware of 'Free' trials...
illegal way to charge
I have made an account on their website so as to make my Resume and they had charged $3.64 for downloading the Resume and cover letter.
While doing the transaction, i didn't receive any pop up or T&C regarding auto renewal thing and also saving my card details without asking any prior confirmation.
Now, they have again charged $25.96 without asking any OTP.
This is an illegal way to save card details on website.
This is pathetic, they are simply supporting cyber crime.

"Your Credit Card ending 9563 was debited, GBP16.95 at AX*MyPerfectCv [protected] at 16:51, 23-Feb-17." These people have continued to steal my money! What is the meaning of this. It's clear that they set up this site to steal people's money. How do you explain the fact that I subcribed to a 14-day service which expired long ago and ever since they have continue to deduct from my card. I adjure them by the living God to return the GBP33.80 which they have stolen from my card this two times.
