Service/damage to vehicle
Using NTB, I selected 4 Pirelli Scorpion STR-A tires and scheduled installation and wheel alignment for 7/5/2023. As you can imagine, this was still expensive in todays world. There was nothing at all wrong with my car, just wanted to replace the tires. I then arrived at NTB on my scheduled time and day, the tires were installed but unfortunately the...

I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with the recent experience (June 23rd, 2023). I had at one of your stores, specifically the location of store number 694. As a loyal customer of NTB for many years, I have always trusted your brand for quality products and excellent service. However, the events that transpired during my last...

The Owings Mills Location has been uncooperative and unprofessional after I tried to get them to look at my vehicle damages. An employee who clearly didn't know how to drive manual transmission stripped my gears and clutch. I have tried to get their manager and Chuck the regional manager to help me but no response. I asked for their liability carrier but...

Run from NTB and their leadership. District Manager Adams would not return my call after 3 requests on 4-13, 4-17, and 4-19. I spoke with Manager Kyler on two of the occasions. My wife experienced a flat tire on 4-11 and drove to NTB. Associate Read told her the tire was ruined and could not be fixed because the object was on the sidewall. Read tried to sell her a new tire. When rejected, Read put the spare on. I took the tire to Discount Tire because it was under warranty. I witnessed the object in the tire. It was not on the sidewall! It was clearly 3-4 inches from the edge of the tire and was easily repaired. There was no other damage to the tire. Associate Read should be terminated. The unethical practice and low image of NTB and the lack of professional service in not returning my calls will be stated on social media for others to learn. The agent knew my wife was in a predicament and tried to take advantage of her. Dishonest company and employee.”
Finally spoke with the Distr. Mgr on 5-9-23. He did not take my concern seriously and never apologized for his staff’s unethical practice. He actually stated that he “did not care” when I offered to send a picture proving the tire was not damaged anywhere close to the sidewall. I have communicated all this to the NTB Corporate Complaint Department. The District Manager, who is over at least 13 store locations, should be sent to "white glove" training or be terminated for refusing to care.
Desired outcome: I am not requesting a refund or anything of the such. NTB customer service needs to train district manager Adams.

Attached is receipt from Sheehy Fords complaint: Conditions of Debris in the coolant and had to add coolant. I informed them I had a new radiator place in, AC all of sudden blowing out warm air when it worked last summer with no problem and they recommended I take it right back to NTB because this should have been included in the work. I called NTB on 04/20/2022 and Mike answers the phone. I previously had a negative situation with him regardless him over charging me $196 for lug nuts and not providing the accurate Article on my receipt. He look in the system and recommended I bring in the vehicle the following week which was this past Tuesday. As I called NTB Tuesday, George answered the phone and stated this information was not in system under none of my numbers 203.543.9047 nor 203.953.4527. Someone removed it after me speaking with Mike. At this time I feel retaliation is glooming. I informed George I have receipts, and unlike last time, he was much pleasant telling me to contact Mike on Thursday.

took my car for tire replacement and alignment. This am leaving for work and one of the new tires were flat. My inflator didn’t touch it when trying to reinflate and had to call gor a ride to work. I don’t have a spare, only the manufacturer emergency fix a flat.
Do you have mobil service that can come out?
Desired outcome: I have no way of driving it, can you send assistance?
Service
This is the worst NTB Location I have ever experienced, except for the one on 75 (But now I am finding that the one on 75 moved to this location, lucky me). I have tried at least 3 times to get a flat on my wife's car fixed. In case you don't know... When you purchase the tires from NTB you are also purchasing a warranty, along with free flats fixed and rotated and balanced at no charge. (transpiring over 2 weeks it was a slow leak), 1st time they had the car they had it for over 3 hours and said they fixed it and didn't The second time I went up there they told there was no way to do any flat repairs today because they only have one guy in the shop. 3rd time I dropped and was immediately told, that they only had one guy in the shop, and it may be 5pm before they could get to it. Learning from my past 2 trips, I had a ride with me so I could drop the car off. They called me at 6:15p (they close at 7p) to tell me they are just now getting to my repair, and did I need the car tomorrow? I told them yes, I need the car tomorrow, this is just a flat repair, it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes? She said OKAY we will fix it and hung up. 5 minutes later Ramsey calls me from NTB saying there is a leak in the tire, but it is too close to the side wall, so they are unable to fix it. Never tried to sell me any more tires, because Ramsey is ready to go home. I told Ramsey to put my car back together and I would be up there to get it. This place has been a cluster F$@k since it went in. I picked up my car, drove it home, got my tire plug kit out and fixed the leak in under 5 minutes. Why did I not just do it myself in the first place you ask? It is a matter of principle and selling good folks tires and offering a warranty is worthless if they are always looking for an excuse to not honor the warranty. The product is always only good as the people selling it. By the way, I purchased a set of tires from the NTB on Plano parkway by accident (clicked the wrong store when ordering online), and they had all four tires changed out, new pressure sensors, rotated, mounted and balanced in less than an hour and a half. So, it is just this NTB is what I am saying. Piss poor management. Nobody wants to work. I can do without paying for excuses. Have a nice day everyone! Carry on!
Desired outcome: Hire people that want to work.
Oil change
I was traveling to MS for vacation. I knew I would need an oil change when I got there, so I made an appointment at NTB in D'iberville, MS. I didn't drive much while I was in MS because I didn't need to. Once vacation was over, I traveled to SC (where I live). Sunday (March 26) I noticed that there was a huge oil puddle underneath my car. I checked my oil dipstick and saw that it didn't have much oil on it. Monday (March 27), I took my car to NTB in Greenville, SC. They said they would check it out and see what's going on. I got a call saying that they needed some parts, but it wouldn't be in until the next day (Tuesday, March 28) until they came in, and that the total would be over $500. Not only am I out of a car for who knows how long, but I have to pay over $500 for NTB MS's negligence, and I have to hope that bigger damage hasn't been done to the car. It is Monday night when I am writing this. I haven't gotten my car back so I don't know what's been done to the car, if it's properly fixed, or how much it will end up being.
Desired outcome: As long as Greenville's NTB can fix the problem and no other damage has happened, I just want a reimbursement of what I'm paying SC NTB to fix my car.
Claiming they Had no article for lug nuts
Following up on complaint I reported yesterday. Attached is proof they indeed had an article code but refused to report it as such. This code would not justify the cost of charging me $169.00 for Lug Nuts. I went in to talk to Mike this morning to show him the correct code so when I go to the tire place who changed my tire on 3/15/2023 from Tire Town LLC, my receipt (Attached) would say Lug Nuts and the exact charges. The black gentleman said the same thing as to their is not code for lug nuts. When I presented him with the code ZP-122390 & ZL0001 for $13.47 each (Please see attached). He was disrespectful stating I am all over the place. My response was because you all were all over the place. I let him know he was being recorded and he refused to talk to me. I stated all I wanted was correct explanation on my paperwork to reflect what really happened.
Desired outcome: As of now....total refund.
$169 for lug nuts
On Friday, March 17, 2023, my car was towed to NTB Short Pump 4390 Pouncy Tract Road, Henrico, Va. I explained while on highway, my car began shaking profoundly, so I pulled over to nearest exit. I also heard knocking. Micheal Booeshaghi the representative took down my car shield information amd stated it won't be until Monday my car might be seen. Saturday, March 18, 2023, Michael contacted me stating there was 3 lug nuts missing and so the labor was $169.00. I informed him I had lug nuts in my car. Upon arrival, I saw another bill with my keys for $58 attached. I asked him why is that bill attached in the Plastic Binder. He stated that was the original bill had I used carshileds. I began asking more questions as to oif hey saw 3 lug nuts missing immediately, why am I being charged $169 in Labor. The receipt stated brakes. I stated to him, I need correct receipt stating lug nuts instead of brake job. He drew up another receipt stating about lug nuts but $0. After signing the receipt, it did not sit well with me because I needed correct information to show the tire place their error who put my new used tires on the day before. Micheal stated that is the only way he could ring up my order. I demanded a receipt with the exact problem. He proceeded to draw me up another separate explaining the lug nuts being missing snd 2 loosed ones but for $0. I informed him that this will not prove my case with the tire place who recklessly placed me in danger while changing my tire 03/16/2023. showing them I paid for $169 for lug nuts. It's showing brakes. I did not have a brake job done for I just had new brakes done and on 03/13/2023 my car inspection at Ford was excellent. (Please see attached).
Micheal handed me the other paperwork and I left. I decided to go back in NTB because things were not adding up. He saw me, he fleed. I waited for 10 minutes for someone to help me but to no avail. I needed answers.
Sixth monthe earluer, I went to another NTB on Quaccasin Road and they charged me only $58 for 3 lug nuts due to it being swollen, and it was shown on my receipt.
I am questioning the deceit on my receipt. Show what you truly did on my receipt not work you did not do. I felt foolish signing the receipt.
Desired outcome: Charge me for only the Diagnosis of $58 the original bill. I had lug nuts in my car to replace the current ones they placed on my vehicle. The hour labor on lug nuts doesn't add up which was why they placed brake on my receipt.
Unprepared auto repairs that were paid for but car wasn't fixed n got the run around n was told they didn't have equipment to fix it.

My vehicle
Hello my name is Lekeisha Williams and I am a customer of your 851 Clairton Blvd Pittsburgh, PA 15236 location. I brought my vehicle to this location on 9/15/2022 because it felt like my rim was bent and felt like it was going to fall off. I dropped my vehicle off and was contacted a few hours later and they stated that whoever installed my new front brakes did not tighten my lug nuts properly and my tire was about to fly off. I was immediately devastated and planned on contacting the mechanic who installed my brakes about their negligence that could have costed me and my family serious bodily injury or even death if my tire would have flew off. I picked up my car and sat and thought about what I was going to say to the mechanic who installed my brakes when I realized it's been a few months since I had my brakes installed and the last place who touched my vehicle was this location on 9/5/2022 when I got my tires rotated, a flat fixed and a 28 point inspection. They lied to me and tried to blame another mechanic when they're the last mechanics who have touched my vehicle and those brakes were already on my car when they rotated my tires. When I picked my vehicle up the guy said that I cheated on them with another mechanic and I said no I didn't, and that was a couple months ago when I got those brakes. The look on his face changed like he new he messed up but still did not admit that he made a very serious mistake. Is there anything that you can do to fix this situation? Please let me know as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: Refund/compensation
I had all (4) tires replaced at the Newport News Va location. I also bought an expensive alignment and asked them to replace a parking light. When I picked up the car in shook violently and the blunt was not only not replaced but they broke the turn signal bulb. I was told it was a wiring issue. I replaced the bulb and the turn signal worked again.
When I brought my car back to have the car fixed, it still shook violently.
I was told the weights fell off the rims.
I had to ask for a refund and take the car to another shop to be repaired.
Unprofessional and inept shop.
Do not bring your car here!
Tire repair
I went to the NTB at 7300 Washington Avenue in New Orleans. I have been bringing my care there for a couple years, I bought my entire set of tires from this location as well as some service work for more than $1300.00. I recently went into the location, I had an appointment for 5pm on a Friday. My front right tire had a nail or something in it. I was told...
Read full review of National Tire & Battery [NTB]The female in the front office
I am not sure how the communication works between upper management and the employees it the back area, but I find it quite rude how the female that was up front was talking to the back employees over the intercom, rudely, unprofessionally and I just thought I would bring this to someone's attention. I spent a lot of money in that establishment and i expect professionalism and this young lady was not professional at all.
Thank you for your time.

Desired outcome: I believe her people skills need improvement. Maybe she needs more training on her communication skills as well as her customer service job and how she speaks to her co workers.
I'm sorry I forgot to include the location. Jacksonville on western Blvd. 1176 Western blvd
Refund
I took my Truck into the NTB in Evans on 17 October 2022. I had them do prior work on my truck and after receiving it back I had a weird noise coming from the front driver's side wheel whenever I turned the wheel left of right. The mechanic drove the truck around the block and came back and put my truck in the shop and raised it up and took off the wheel. He may have looked a minute then he told me that I needed new wheel bearings. He put the tire back on and when he was torquing the lug nuts, he broke of one of the studs on the wheel. I then drove it to Milton Toyota because I wanted a second opinion on the wheel bearings. While it was in the shop, I had them replace the stud. They also notified me that there was nothing wrong with the wheel bearings. I went back to NTB in Evans and talked to Terry Sharp the Store Manager. I told him I should be refunded $113.84 since that was what Toyota charged me to fix the damage his mechanic did to my truck. He agreed with me and told me I would get a refund from NTB so I provided him the paperwork from Toyota so he would have a copy. I have called several times, but he always asks me if there is something else, they can do instead of providing me the refund.
Desired outcome: I would like a response and to be provided a refund for the $113.84 that is due me for the damage they caused to my truck due to their negligence. I have been using NTB for many years, but this business has lost me as a customer.

Very poor customer service.
On 1/13/23 my wife and I made an appointment at NTB on Holt Road to install 4 new tires and a front end alignment on 1/21/23 at 9am. (We had a flat tire replaced there on 8/30/22 and were happy with the price and service.)
For the appointment, we requested 4 more of the same tires or tires of the same size.
We called again on 1/18/23 to confirm the appointment and the specifics of the services we requested.
When I arrived for our scheduled appointment, I was told that they had no tires of the correct size available for our car. None. But they could order them in and have them delivered on Monday.
Why did I bother making an appointment?
I was told "Billingsly" had tires that would fit my car. What is Billingsly, I asked.
It's another NTB store, I was told. And that was that. Not even an apology.
I asked if they could at least call Billingsly to see if Billingsly could honor the appointment I had made at Holt.
They called. And I had to drive an additional 17 miles — one way — to Billingsly to get the tires that Holt should have had ready for me.
Frankly, the people at Holt didn't seem to care less about my unnecessary inconvenience caused by their lack of preparation.
I will never take my business to Holt Road again and I will encourage others to avoid them as well.
The folks at Billingsly however — Joey, Alex and Daniel — were awesome. Polite, professional, thorough and genuine. And I will recommend them to others.
Sincerely,
Michael Ferryman

Desired outcome: I just want SOMEONE at NTB to be made aware of the poor customer service at the Holt Road location. They reflect very poorly on your company.
Tire replacement.
My wife ordered a new tire because of blowout on December 31, 2022. She left a key fob with blue tag at the desk. The car was towed the same day and the tow driver handed over a key fob with out a tag. NTB had two sets of keys.
The tire was replaced on Monday, Jan 2, 2023.
My wife picked up car on Monday, but NTB only gave her one key with the blue tag. NTB said they did not have the tow driver key and blamed the tow company for having the key, Both sets of keys were received by NTB.
They returned only the key fob with blue tag to my wife claiming my wife did not give desk a key. They said they could not identify the key fob given to them by tow driver. In fact it did not have a blue tag.
I feel they are less than truthful after blaming the tow company. I feel they accidently lost the tow driver key. They made a mistake.
To replace a key fob at the Ford Dealer with a program, it will cost close to $300.
NTB should be responsible and reimburse us for the lost, misplaced key fob,
The manager was of no help. It was NTB vs tow company and somehow our fault. The replaced tire was also $300.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for lost, misplaced key fob.

• 11-05-22: Vehicle serviced, **power steering fluid, oil, serpentine belt, brake fluid, tires rotated, etc. Note: This was purely preventative maintenance and there were zero leaks.
Total cost: $795.22
• 11-05-22: NTB Informed me that my vehicle was complete and there were no mechanical issues to report. NTB Recommended changing rear differential fluid (Ref. attachment 1).
• 11-07-22: Identified Leak coming from power steering pump, called to make follow up appointment
• 11-22-22: Returned vehicle to NTB and was later informed that the entire power steering pump and associated lines needed to be replaced at $801.21. (Reference attachment 2)
Note: I was taken back at this point and took this coincidence as alarming. I should have been notified before I left NTB the first time of an emerging problem.
I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and requested that complete some additional maintenance work (spark plugs, rear differential flush, etc. total estimated cost was $1500) and to please clean the bottom of my truck to ensure it was leak free. Bruce the manager informed me that the truck will be free of leaks and that it was their standard practice to clean up the spillage.
• 11-23-22: Informed by Bruce that my truck was ready for pick-up. I again requested for him to ensure the vehicle was free from any leakage as I would not feel comfortable the job was done correctly is there was. He assured me that it would be leak free and cleaned. Later that day I returned to NTB inspected the bottom and it was dripping of fluids in the front and back. Bruce agreed that it was unacceptable and that he would hang it on the racks over the thanksgiving holiday and inspect it on Friday.
• 11-25-22: I received a voice mail from NTB indicating that my truck was clean and ready for pick-up.
• 11-28-22: I returned to NTB again for pick-up and there was still drippage (see attachment 3) coming from my vehicle. I informed Bruce how unsatisfied I was with the work, and he agreed that it was unexpectable.
• 11-29-22: I receive a message from the clerk informing me that my truck was again ready for pickup. I called back and asked to speak with Bruce and informed him that I have lost all trust and confidence in the work they have performed on my truck and that I was completely unsatisfied. I also informed him that I was uncomfortable paying for the work done because of the lack of confidence I had in his shop’s ability to perform the tasks correctly. I asked him to figure out a way to make it right.
• [protected]:30pm: no phone call back, I’ll be calling them this afternoon.
Called back and asked Bruce why he hadn’t called me back and he stated that he didn’t know he needed to but did offer a free oil change for all the inconvenience. I of course declined because I had lost confidence in NTB’s ability to perform basic maintenance. I picked up the tuck around 3:00pm, paid in full and will be disputing the charges.
• Total price paid for maintenance: $2,337.35
Desired outcome: Seeking refund.
