don't * with cats
I love cats, so I was intrigued when this appeared upon opening the home page and began playing automatically. I couldn't sit through the whole preview. What an absolutely disgusting thing to have auto playing on the home page, I couldn't sleep last night and feel sick to my stomach every time I think about it. You're out of your minds if you think this is okay to be auto played with no prior discretion warning, it needs to not be on the platform at all. I'm cancelling my membership today, I can't deal with the anxiety of knowing this will pop up everytime I go onto the home page for the next month.
netflix, 'first temptation of christ'
Hello, I have been a Netflix customer for years. But as a parent and Christian I feel deeply hurt by the 'First Temptation of Christ' movie. I am planning to cancel my subscription and switch to Disney or Amazon if Netflix doesn't retire it by next Monday. I know that a huge company wont care about a single subscription but I am not interested in giving my money to Netflix anymore. Thanks
streaming offensive video
The video 'The First Temptation of Christ' is offensive and blasphemous. Reporting it to Netflix highlighted their disrespect. Their response was basically: We decide on content. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I would think content selectors at Netflix would at least have the discretion to not select content that is offensive in nature against any group. What happened to basic respect?
Welcome to the Interenet, friend. It sounds a bit like this show wasn't for you then. Maybe you can check out Klaus instead?
netflix “first temptation of christ”
I request Netflix to immediately remove the movie "The First Temptation of Christ." How dare they mock the Christian religion & this beautiful time of year. We are canceling our service now. I cannot stand to sit back and watch Netflix mock my faith and something that is so important to me.
If Netflix removes it - we will reconsider our subscription. But until then...I will not stand for it.
Michelle Wolf joke show
I started the above "comedy" and didn't even manage to get 2 minutes through. From the outset all she's joking about is that the animal in question deserves what's happening, do the big wigs at Netflix find it funny? Did they proof watch it before it was added and laugh hysterically at the thought of some poor animal being abused? If there are going to be such sensitive topics please list them, talking animal or human it's not a funny topic and can seriously hurt mental well-being without proper forewarning. I will have to seriously have to consider any further use of Netflix now it appears I see what you think passes as humor.
Hmm sounds a bit like this show wasn't for you then. Have you checked out "Don't f**k with cats" yet, maybe that one would suit you better?
content
Netflix-Are you absolutely out of your minds?! On 12/18/2019 the special Don't F**k with Cats was on my featured title bar. My husband let the trailer automatically start because he knows I love cats, and this looks like it could be a special for cat fanatics. Maybe something about their superior hunting skills -- a la Lion in Your Living Room. Nope! You cannot let something like that autoplay and you need to figure out how to label content that is that disturbing. I didn't sleep last night. I acknowledge that there may be information that is important within this doc, and you need to figure out how to responsibly make it available to those who can handle it and choose to view it. I am mortified to think what could have happened if I had viewed this trailer with my teenagers in the room. I am well aware of the disgusting actions that the worst among us are capable of. I am not okay with something like that being forced down my throat when I am unprepared for it. This needs to be fixed immediately.
well said - thank you for posting!
blasphemous depiction jesus shows
There are a few shows on Netflix that creat a blasphemous depiction of Jesus Christ. Two shows, in particular, are "The First Temptation of Christ" and "The Last Hangover." These shows are HIGHLY disrespectful to God, Jesus Christ, the faith and followers of Christ (Christians). I have yet to see a single show on Netflix that depicts Mohammed, Krishna, the Hebrew deity, or any other "god" from any other religion. The constitution encourages the freedom to practice religion, but when shows like this are accessible to children, adolescents and young adults that believe in Christ, it discourages their faith and desire to continue in the faith. Netflix has allowed the devil to utilize its resources and effect via media to construe Jesus and Christianity in a way not presented by the Bible. If these shows are not removed I will gladly cancel my membership with Netflix and rally for other Chrsitians to do the same.
Why they do not mock the Hollocaust instead? Or Feminism or Abortists? Or Obama? Why?
the first temptation of christ
This film is out of order and Netflix should be ashamed of themselves. If this was a gay movie about Islam they would never dare to screen it. My friends and I will be dumping Netflix unless this abomination of drivel is removed from Netflix.
This movie insults and mocks Jesus who is worshipped by more people in the world than other other religious leader. I was under the impression that the USA was Christian Nation and this movie on Netflix has appalled me and my friends.
It's not a documentary, mate. Nor is it produced in the US btw.
movie "the first temptation of christ"
This movie is a mockery of my religion. It's a mockery to jesus Christ. This movie displays him as gay and drunk which all goes against the Christian bible. This movie should be removed as it Is mocking my religion and my going against my human rights. This is disgusting and atrocious and it's so low class of Netlix. They are abusing their popularity thinking they can do whatever they want. This movie must he removed with immediate effect. There is a petition active against this movie as well which has close to a million signatures or by now probably over a million.
If Netflix only licensed shows that were sure not to offend anyone, there would only be one show on the platform.; Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood.
The way you all talk is so disgusting. Why are you all “tolerant” of the Muslims, the Buddhists and all of the other “religions” but you’re so disrespectful towards Catholicism and Christianity? “Farts him out in a stable?” What kind of a comment is that? You must be young and find yourself to be very funny. All I can say is that God is real, Jesus is real, the virgin Mother is real and you’re going to realize that the moment that you die. If you don’t agree, fine. But in the case that they are real, why don’t you show some respect and refrain from making immature comments on the internet about a Religion that clearly none of you understand? Then if they are real, you won’t have to face the disgusting things that you said about them on the internet.
Can you be a little more specific about which of your human rights are being repressed?
gay jesus - insulting - you wouldn't do this to muhammad because of fear
Why do you think you can ignore the religion of Christianity but respect Islam? This is Christian persecution. If something isn't done regarding this issue, we're going to cancel and I'm going to recommend everyone else do the same. You're blatant in your tolerance for Islam but not Christians. This is discrimination at its worst. You regard, religion, with, respect, not, blatant disregard.I am speaking in regards to 'The First Temptation of Jesus' but it would apply to any blatant disregard just as it would if you did this to Muhammad; seriously I can't believe I'm even having to say this.
You don't often see 'blatant' and 'tolerance' put together like that. Just to clarify, you'd be well happy with a similar show about other religions?
Apparently you didn't read where I said I didn't approve of blatant disregard . I have Muslim and Jewish friends as well as one Buddhist. I don't have to agree with their religion in order to realize that they have the same rights that I have. They have the right to choose. They chose. I chose differently. I neither mock them, nor, would I expect them to mock me. We have, and show, mutual respect. My words, to be exact, were, 'You regard, religion, with, respect, not, blatant disregard.' I resent, and am offended, by the movie 'The First Temptation of Christ'. Do not tell me they didn't time this to be shown at 'Christmas' for just this reason. They would not, I restate, do this to Mohammed, during Ramdadan. I did, however, use the old spelling for the name of Mohammed, the one I am using in this explanation is the common one. This, I will admit.
the first temptation of christ
Seriously, Netflix? Exactly how do you expect to come out of this unscathed? To air a show like this during Christmas is not only bad form, but it smacks of being intentionally offensive to 3 billion+ Christians world-wide. I've enjoyed some of your Chinese and Korean series, but beyond that Netflix has been a pure disappointment to me. Your willingness to air smut like The First Temptation of Christ has left a bad taste in my mouth. Do you think your forcing a lifestyle down the throats of regular folks is going to garner ANY sympathy for the LGBTQA community after pulling something like this? This proves one thing...it's amoral and abominable. Shame on you and good freakin' bye!
disrespect for religious beliefs
The film "The First Temptation of Christ" has recently come to my attention through social media. To me and to the millions of others who have expressed their disapproval though petitions and social media, it is absolutely abhorrent that Netflix would authorize this kind of film. My respect for Netflix and likelihood of continuing to use it has been greatly diminished. I politely but firmly ask that this film, in addition to "The Last Hangover" be removed from Netflix.
The concern with this film is not strictly limited to its mockery of religious figures and historical and religious events. What is even more abhorrent is how low an industry has to go to in order to bring "comedy" to its audience. All that it represents is a tremendous lack of morality, respect, maturity, and decency. No one, regardless of religious affiliation, would want a person they love and respect to be mocked or to have their dignity being distorted and corrupted. Considering this, there should not be one human being who is not appalled by this movie. Billions of people - and not just Christians, but Muslims as well - love and respect Jesus, and corrupting his person as it is historically presented and verified is immature, indecent, and no less disrespectful than discrimination, racism, homophobia or sexism.
I have seen some comments on social media along the line of, "If you don't like it, just don't watch it!". However, this is no excuse to allow this kind of film to exist on Netflix. The film feeds corrupted and distorted ideas into peoples' minds, and may well lead to disrespect and mockery towards religious peoples rather than acceptance, understanding, and peace - attitudes which our world is in dire need of right now. So once again, I demand that the films "The First Temptation of Christ" and "The Last Hangover" be removed from Netflix.
You are hereby politely but firmly recommended to watch something else instead then. Have you checked out 48 Christmas Wishes yet?
insulting beliefs.
I would like to complaint about two movies/shows on Netflix
The last hangover
The first temptation of christ
I have been a costumer for years and this could end up with termination of using your services, not only me but many other Christian's who are offended by the content of this movies.
I understand if the people involved in creating this movies do not share the believes of Christians, however there is not need to create such of insulting and also insane programming to insult the believe's and real truths of your Netflix costumers that are also Christian.
I will ask for this insulting content to be removed from streaming.
Otherwise be subject to further action.
Thank you.
Your very angry customer.
streaming content
I cancelled my subscription to Netflix due to the disregard for mocking my faith. The only way I will ever return and spend my money with Netflix is if they apologize and remove this film and any other film that would mock anyone's faith. I'd like to see you all try and stream similar film that mocks Mohammad, I think not because you all know the Christian are the kind one that won't hunt you down!
You have commented on everyone's complaint about this movie. Do you have no life? Try, I advise you, to get one that is more fulfilling than doing this-unless of course-you, are a bot.
So your suggestion is to offend other people instead?
gay jesus
This is absolutely horrible. This is very offensive and against the Bible. My family and I are canceling our subscription due to this. Shows such as this should never even be considered. To know that a company is going to put their time into things such as this is unbelievable. The Bible states man should not lie with man nor woman with woman. This is in no way acceptable. This show should be removed and never showed again.
new upcoming jesus movies/series
I am very much disappointed with your company for allowing a movie or show that encourages making fun of a religion. To me, and many more people, this is utterly disgusting. You're already losing customers due to the new Disney+, now you're going to lose more due to this ridiculous new movie that disrespects christians. How did you let this happen? I get that it is comedy but this will only make your company look bad and have a bad image. Fix this. Thankyou.
I will no longer continue mine and my family’s subscription due to this. I refuse to use and spend my money on a company that takes Christianity as a joke and thinks it’s okay to disrespect it by turning Jesus and making him gay, further more turning him drunk. How ridiculous.
how you removed shows
Can you please put vampire diaries and teen wolf back on Netflix it would be much appreciated if you did many people are missing shows but most of all those 2, people would get back into Netflix if you didn't take the cool shows off and put bad ones on. I would like to make this message as noticeable as possible so I'm going to say it once again, may you please put back there shows on.
Kind regards Tannah 🙂
Shows sometimes get taken off due to licensing. The best way to suggest shows so the requests end up at the right department is through their help center (I don't think I can post a link here but if you google Netflix help you'll get to a page where they have a box for suggesting shows) :-)
the last hangover and the first temptation of christ
HOW DARE YOU! This isn't just a little joke or a comedy sketch, this is completely tearing apart the image of Christ. Are you willing to provide joke series about other leaders in such a way. This IS SO directly offensive, in an obvious way. Please take it off Netflix, out of respect and decency. This country is really going downhill and its now an accepted thing to slander other peoples beliefs and race and religion...how dare you.
The films both seemed to have been uploaded to Netflix Dec 2019, just before the great christian celebration of Jesus' birth, as if to downgrade everything.

not updating tv shows
I love Netflix no commercial I could watch it all day but recently popular tv shows haven't been updating on new seasons like Riverdale and seven deadly sins are just two of them and you even took of popular ones to like pretty little liars . Then I recently saw that Netflix is going through setbacks on the news. Good content is what keeps your customers here. Maybe if you have us hope like release dates of confirmation of some kind. We would all be happy!
movies
complaint: Hi there, i just wanted to rant about how unbelievably disrespectful the upcoming "jesus" movies are and i know that you are by no means forcing viewers to watch it and blah blah blah but i just want you to know this hits way too deep. way too deep. i don't know who thought it was a brilliant idea to allow this sort of thing but honesty speaking if this was done to any other religion... no comment. Its also Christmas which is double the amount of disrespect. sorry, just wanted to like vent. i have so many more things to say but this will do for now. hope your satisfied. i'm truly disturbed and even i'm not that petty.

The whole documentary should be deleted. It promotes animal cruelty and murder and they’re making money off of it. Not to mention drawing attention to the man who performed the acts. I am no longer giving Netflix my money. I don’t support a platform that promotes disturbing and distasteful content.
