Netflix movie repeats

I have a complaint regarding the movies on Netflix. The same movies are being played on every genre choice. The old movies on there aren't good enough. There are low ratings but they insist in playing the same things. Scandal has not been updated. Add on Man on Fire or Air force one. I am not all that happy. Make a change PLEASE !

Netflix billing issues

I tried to reinstate my account tonight by going to the website and putting new payment information in and processing a payment. Netflix took more money off my card than the monthly fee, then told me there was a problem with my payment method and they could not reinstate my account. When I contacted them about it they said they never got the money and when there was enough money on the card, they would be more than happy to take my money (honestly that were their words) and reinstate my account. When I argued with them that my card showed it was already deducted and I wanted it put back on my card and my account with them cancelled, they said it would take 3-5 business days for them to put it back on my card. Really? You don't have it but it will be back on my card in 3-5 business days? They were not willing to do anything to help me out and they weren't interested in keeping me as a customer. I think its time to find a company that is more appreciative of my business. I realize I am only one person but I am one person with lots of friends who used to use Netflix.

Netflix put mighty machines back up!

Really Netflix! My three year old does not watch much of the shows that Netflix has to offer. He goes through fazes and his faze right now is Mighty Machines which I was thrilled to see they had. I go in tonight to turn his show on only to be told nothing matches my description. Please put this show back in your viewing selections! Thank you.

Netflix documentary

I do not appreciate looking through Netflix's Documentary section and seeing movies about drugs, sex, Jesus, god, Budism, Hinduism, Taoism, more drugs and such. You can scroll through netflix and see 20+ documentaries about weed, meth, lsd or something of that sort. Then see 40 or more movies about Jesus, or god, or religion conspiracies and whatnot. Followed by documentaries about [censored]s, and porn stars, and all this other crap. Yeah it is fun to watch and educational and all. But If you scroll through looking for Useful documentaries on Paganism, or Wicca, or Druidism, or Celtic beliefs, or something that is taboo or out of the norm to 75% of the population of the people/families that use netflix. You can only find 4 documentaries. And they aren't even really about Paganism, or Wicca, or Druidism, or Celtic beliefs. Why doesn't netflix do something about that? Doing something to educate the close-minded portion of the population on netflix. Or hey. Cater to the people who are actually interested on seeing other point of views about their spirituality and what not. Or, For the more mature people. Why not do a few documentaries about BDSM and that lifestyle? Instead of letting this vial trash of a book "50 Shades of Grey" corrupt what little image of the BDSM lifestyle that people have. Give them something to watch to see if they can comprehend, and get it though their thick skulls that BDSM is not all about rape, and forcing a man or a woman to do whatever the opposing sex wants. That there is a lot more to it than that? "Because they are not right in the head if they don't like the average run of the mill sex." This is what most people would say. . . This is my reply to that. "If you actually understood BDSM for what it is. You might not be satisfied with the average run of the mill sex." Why cant Netflix, or any place that streams documentaries do more stuff like that. To possibly get more information about certain topics out there so people can make an proper dicision on the topics themselves. Instead of lableing anyone who is not Christian, Muslim, Taoist, or what have you as a baby sacrificing devil worshiper. And people who like to spice up their sex life let people see that BDSM is so they are not labled a Freak, or a pervert.

Rant done.

Netflix, please fix this issue. There are still some people out there who would like to actually learn about stuff that other people think is taboo.

You are complaining because there are Documentary movies on Netflix that you do not want to watch?
In addition, you don't think they have enough Documentary movies that you do want to watch?
What do you want them to do... Go out and make the movies?
They put movies out that others make and authorize them to rent. They are NOT in charge of what people produce.

Netflix flapjack

Y'all should really put "The Marvelous Misadventures Flapjack" on Netflix! That show is really good! You guys already have some Cartoon Network shows on there! Can't you just add Flapjack too? But everything else is great! I'd love Netflix A LOT more if Flapjack was on there! Thank you! And I really hope you do put Flapjack on there! Have a nice day!

Netflix overcharged for a year

I found out that Netflix has been charging me twice monthly for service. At first I didn't notice because I check for big unusual charges but when I did I called Netflix. They told me they would not reinburse me and wouldn't even offer me a credit for the months they overcharged me! That woul of suffice, but no instead they accused me of opening 2 accounts with one credit card? It's just me and my husband at home why would we do that or why didn't ask?. Then they got my bank on the phone to try to get them to reimburse me, TD Bank thought they were crazy! Customer service was ignorant and poor, they don't care about the customers at all. I cancelled my account. If I get another bill then I'm talking lawyers here!

I have had the same exact problem with Netflix charging me for two charges. I only set up one account but they say I set up a second one. I have the same circumstances being it is only myself and my husband in our house and I am the only one who used the netflix account, so why would we have set up two. I called them and all they would do was credit me for one month. This must be a scam they use quite frequently.

Canceled account and card! They continued to charge my account ... So there's no security to protect your money. They will continue with the little rules that they some how fail to mention. Hope it's worth it I won't be back.

Netflix incompatibility with ios7

iOS 7 was updated two weeks ago!no problems right!, Netflix updated yesterday and now it won't play on the iPad whilst connected to the tv, a fact!, having followed all advice from Same disgruntled customers, apple blogs and the such, still no joy, I rang netflix who absolutely dismissed the fact that there product update was to blame and passed the buck to apple who I rang and couldn't resolve the matter after 32 mins of polite chat, Netflix have ripped me off for half a months subscription, my advice is not to update your app and then stay away from netfliix, I was told this..."just because you believe so!dont make it so!", it's become a very arrogant service and very unaccountable for its failings .what a shame

Recent Blu Ray Disc movies from Netflix are apparently edited for smart phone viewing. Images are cropped & zoomed up to 90% leaving only full frame faces on the screen. Makes them unwatchable. Have reported to Netflix. No response.

Netflix lagging

The service you are paying Netflix for is essentially a movie streaming library that lags behind every few minutes. The audio runs normally but the picture slows down and goes out of sync only to eventually speed up in order to catch up with itself. For me, on a brand new high spec laptop, this genuinely happens every few minutes. This is not good enough from any company. which advertises a service through which you can watch movies, not a service through which you can watch chronic lagging and out of sync movies.

It is very aggravating that while trying to watch a movie or show on Netflix it stops like every 5 mins to reload. We pay with Netflix card so we are paid up for a few months so it would be nice to be able to watch once its loaded thr first time. And it takes at least 30-45 seconds to reload every time it does it. Not sure what's going on but should definitely fix it!

I signed up for netflix instant streaming and not only have I discovered that netflix lists the same movies in 6 or more different categories, therby deceiving customers into believing they have thousands to choose from, but the site itself, Www.netflix.com is consistently bogged down with error messages that leave the customer completely unable to access his account.NETFLIX is a deceptive company that offers far less than they advertise. They are practicing the familiar "BAIT AND SWITCH" tactics.Beware, customers!

Netflix gift policy not in faq

Below is my chat conversation with Netflix customer service (you can only contact them through chat or phone, no email). There is nothing in the FAQ about this being how the subscriptions work (I checked, read, searched and etc before redeeming... just had a bad hunch it was going to be something like this). Just wanted to put this out there. If Netflix is going to do this it should be written and made plan and obvious- not only something the customer learns about after the fact.

Just wanted the fact of this out there, so others were aware if they found themselves facing a similar situation. Nearly $100 potentially wasted depending on how long my house takes to sell.

Also, the fact that Netflix has no real customer service should be noted. All Cheryl did was say how the system worked, tell me there was no one else I was allowed to talk to or who could contact me except her supervisor that she could 'Transfer me To' who could tell me no more anyways, and she never offered a solution except... sorry to see you go. That's unbelievably awful customer service. Even without the issue of wasting the money spent on my gift this customer service set up would make it unlikely I would ever consider using Netflix again. There are plenty of possible solutions for this sort of situation, that Netflix has chosen to just go the route of, if it's messed up it's messed up don't let the door hit you on the way out- is appalling.

*****
Netflix Cheryl: Hello my name is Cheryl, is this Trevor?

You: Hello, I received a gift subscription I added to my account, but was hoping I could have it paused.
You: Yes, Trevor.
You: We are in the process of selling our house and not there at the moment, so it would be wasted

2 minutes pass

You: Hello?

Netflix Cheryl: Hey! Nice to meet you! Let me double check on that for you.

You: Thank you.

3 Minutes pass

Netflix Cheryl: Okay so since the gift has been redeemed all at one time there isn't a way to pause it. Pretty weird if you ask me, if you have a phone that has netflix you can still watch there, I know it isn't quite the same, but there are cords that will connect certain phones to your TV if you wanted to look into that temporarily.

You: We are at my in laws who already have netflix, so really this just means it's being wasted. Is there anyone else who might be able to place the account on hold. Surely there are other times a subscription has been needed to be placed on hold. Seems more then weird that the option is not there at all.

Netflix Cheryl: There isn't our system is automated, once you redeem the gift it just keeps being used up. I totally agree that it is weird, the gifts are tricky sometimes. I checked with a few people higher up then me and that is just a bug we haven't been able to fix yet.

You: The account itself cannot be placed on hold?

3 Minutes Pass

Netflix Cheryl: I can transfer you to my supervisor if you would like, he will tell you the same thing though.
Netflix Cheryl: With the gift subscriptions you can cancel to hold your account but it will continue to use, since technically when you redeemed the gift it was for the entire year so basically you paid for the year already so your streaming goes for a year, there isn't a way to stop it.

You: If your supervisor cannot help I would like the email for his supervisor. I would like to inform them that because they insist on wasting the money spent on our gift for a year we will not be spending any money with them again.
You: That is just bad business practice, it's not a bug, it's simple coding to be able to just hault an account. That is done on purpose for obvious reasons. Bad business.
You: Thank you for your help Cheryl

2 Minutes Pass

Netflix Cheryl: I don't have anything like that, we are the customer service so we take all complaints and then send them up to our tech team that runs the site. I totally agree with you and I will send this up to them. I am not sure how all that stuff works I don't make websites so I am not sure how much goes into making a large change like that.

You: It's not a large change to simple place a stop on an account, every other business in the world does so for subscriptions. There is always someone higher up. If your supervisor doesn't have answers then there is someone else I need to talk to.

2 Minutes Pass

Netflix Cheryl: Yes but if we do it for you, then we have to change the entire way our system is set up for everyone. It really isn't that simple. I personally do not have any information. I have one person higher than me then our tech team they do not have an email or number all complaints go through the representatives.

You: Can you have them call me?
You: The system should be changed if that is the case, but I still disagree that would be the case.
You: It sounds more like a decision that was made, that Netflix decided since the someone else paid for the subscription the recipient probably wouldn't be too put out if they wasted it if extenuating circumstances came up. I also checked your faq before redeeming, no where did it say that this would be the case. Had it I would not have redeemed.

3 Minutes Pass

Netflix Cheryl: I totally agree that it should be changed. I am not able to take any personal information over the chat due to privacy policies. I can promise you that we do not want waste your money we are a company that strives on giving everyone the best service, this is how our billing is set up. I totally am on your side on this and if there was a way for me to put your account on hold I totally would, I do not like having upset customers. I will let them know that the FAQ should be more concrete on what is allowed and what isn't trust me I want to help you we don't want to see you go over this.

You: So how can you help? This will be a deal breaker for me. That's quite a lot of money that is potentially just down the drain depending on how long it takes my house to sell. The faq is not just not concrete, it says nothing about the fact that the account cannot be held, and since you can hold your account otherwise (as we already had) there was no reason to believe this would be different. That is not just not concrete, that is suspiciously incomplete on the topic for something that it's obvious a customer will assume works the way the site normally works.

3 Minutes Pass

Netflix Cheryl: It is JUST on the gift, if you had a card used every month we could hold it but even then, lets say you pay on the 13th and then you want to cancel on the 25th, because you paid your streaming will still continue, same here you have paid for a year so even if you cancel your streaming will continue. We want NON STOP service for all customers, it is inconveinent in some isnstances such as this one I agree I would be just as upset. I really want to help, if I could but in this situation there is no way to pause your streaming and hold your account. The only reason accounts go on hold is for nonpayment. That is it. I totally understand you wanting to leave because of this I wish I could change your mind but if this is the deal breaker I am not too sure what else to do, honestly there ins't a way to do that. I will let our tech team know that we NEED to update this feature.
******

As you see there is no actual customer service at work here. Just- yeah it's messed up, yeah we should change that, I understand, don't let the door hit you on the way out. No solution offered. No way to talk to anyone or have anyone contact you who could help. Just an unbelievably bad customer service set up. That alone would make me steer clear. Just wanted to put that out there. Hopefully Netflix will at least update their faq, but I rather feel that this is a big thing to have left out on accident.

Netflix over charged

on february 11th 2013 i couldnt view netflix because it said i needed to pay my $7.99. i thought this was odd since the last bill was due and aid on the 26th of january. but at 3 am after a hard nights work i went ahead and paid them anyways and was told my new billing date would be the 11th of every month and the company was having trouble with theyre billing system. satisfied that i would be pro rated i left well enough alone. now here we are on the 20th of february (9 days later) and netflix wants another $7.99. when i asked what the problem is i was told rudely by the supervisor johnny that the problem was with my bank and if i would like to 3 way call them and let johnny the supervisor handle it for me everything would be fine.. umm, no. when i asked why there was suddenly a problem this month and hasnt ever been before i was told the company was having trouble with theyre billing sustem. so i asked if thats why im getting ready to pay for the third time in 1 month? i was told no. the problem was on my end. yet my statements say "PAID" to netflix twice this month. so i was basically charged 3 times for a product and didnt even get a full months use out of it. thank you netflix!

Had netflix turned on thru their website. They put a hold on my bank account for 7.99. Then they turn around and placed another hold for 7.99 on my account. After that they took 8.53 out of my account. Had to call them about this so they finnaly returned one of the holds. After 10 days now they still have not returned the other 7.99. The person I talked with was very rude. They are all about the money and could care less about service. Don't. Use their service. Nothing but problems.

Netflix No customer service

This company's support is non-existent. They have people answering the phone to just try to coddle you and tell you everything is going to be alright and then they do absolutely nothing to fix their issues. There is no email service to send troubles in and start a ticket that would have to be tracked, because they don't want to have to follow up on any issues. Once they hang up the phone, they are done with your issue, and you can be sure it goes right in the trash! The services and how they are used change so frequently that you can't tell what is working, how it works or if its been removed from week to week. When you report a problem, they say something to the effect that they are constantly changing their website to make it better and they will look into this. What a lame way to conduct business! The web interface and instant view experiences about as much down time as it does up time. The search tools and mechanisms for updating and managing your queues do not function the same for the same titles from place to place. But, trying to explain this to someone in support is like explaining how to perform brain surgery to an infant. Beside the fact that they just don't seem to care. so they give you the canned answer that they will look into it and if there is a problem, it will be looked into. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Their service is to be accepted "as is" and as it is it pretty much sucks!

There's a reason why they only have a chat and phone customer support, and that's to get you back to streaming as quickly as possible rather than having people send long verbose emails (not unlike your complaint) with a much longer turnaround time. Similarly, the issues they can handle relate to your Netflix account like payments, or help you with simple device / network troubleshooting if you get an error when playing a film, they're not there to issue statements about every minor change that gets made on the user interface - those changes are made by a different department. If you're experiencing a technical issue that's preventing you from actually watching Netflix, they'll escalate to the tech team (who will look into it and follow up if necessary), but not because you have an issue with how the user interface looks.

Netflix lured into "another free trial" then billed

I was lured into "another free trial" for previous members by an email directly from Netflix. I clicked & signed up & was immediately billed on my credit card. When I called Netflix to notify them that I'm billed though I signed up through this email, they stated they only offer the free trials for people who've not had the service for over a year - when I told them this is stated nowhere on their email lure & I read the whole small print, the customer service rep became snappy and unpleasant. This company must be penalized for these scams.

Netflix show taken down?

Dear Netflix,

I have been using your product for a little more than a year now, and have very much enjoyed the shows, and movies. I have a streaming account set up. And I was in the middle of a fantastic series, Rupaul's Drag Race Season 4, I had been away for a little, and when I came back the season had been taken down. I was wondering why, and if you would put it back up soon? And if you'd carry the next season as well? To contact me: [protected]@live.com. Thank you foe your time.

This is happening more and more, but the removal of season 4 of Rupaul's Drag Race is especially annoying to me as I waited for it for what seemed like a year and never got to finish the season before it was removed. I've heard rumors that vary from a misplaced advertisement to uncensored swearing. I don't think the kinds of people that watch a show about drag queens care about the f bomb. Come on, Netflix! Get it together!

I signed for the free trial only to discover that Firefox's claim to support it was not working. I use Ubuntu and not interested in any Silverlight BS. Finally found the fixes to make it go. Nothing that support would have a clue about since they can't even type in correct sentences. An account check revealed that I had only 3 days left for trial. Opened a dialog with customer service to ask for an extension. My service was cancelled by me the entire time until I fixed it. And surely they can see I never watched anything. All I got was questions and diversionary tactics. I called it unfair practice and cancelled for good. Won't deal with a company that deals with me using a script reading dirtbag from another place who cant make an english sentence right. This is not racism. This is quality of service. Too bad I wasted so much time reasearching and fixing it.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE May 2. 2013
Netflix is the WORST COMPANY I have ever seen in my entire life! My elderly father called to request that his paymjents be made from . his debit card instead of his credit card. He was not told that a debit card would be not be accepted and to his shock they cancelled him. He has tried for a MONTH to get it reconnected devoting numerous hours talking to different representatives at Netflix. Each one made promises to my parents that it would be reconnected.Because of his frustration from talking to them the biggest part of the day and up to 10:00 tonight & receiving different answers from various representatives, He finally told them forget it, It's not worth it. We will recommend people to NOT USE NETFLIX. AND WILL TELL OUR EXPERIENCE TO OTHERS. Debra Novak

Netflix is a legit company. They do charge you for the first month but you do not pay unless you decide to keep it.

You should check with your bank because Netflix gave me a free trial when I first started it.

Netflix stay away from these guys

I wanted to love Netflix - it's so easy. I put my account on hold quite a while ago because I rarely watched the DVDs I ordered right away (maybe 1 a month) and rarely used the junk streaming content - I thought I might get wistful for crap movies and shows and I'd spent so much time feeding their ratings machine, but I didn't. I logged in and canceled my account, sad for the lost ratings. I noticed a charge on my online credit card statement recently and investigated - they had reactivated my account three months ago (yeah yeah, I should be more vigilant with the statements, whatever). When I called, Tayvon said he could only authorize one month of credit but could see I hadn't used it since I placed the hold. I asked to escalate, he put me on hold then offered to give two months credit because his supervisor was busy. He told me I could call my bank and dispute the third charge (likely a policy because AMEX will eat a small charge rather than go to the trouble to dispute it). Ick.

Netflix not for free as they promise

I was trying to sign up for Netflix, according to their website it's FREE the first month. I am putting my debit card on there and low and behold it will not process, I called them after waiting 10 mins (time recorded was 3 mins) I got a very smart mouth you male on the line. He informs that they have to "authorize" the card for the monthly fee. I asked him isn't the first month free? He replies that yes but they authorize the card for the following month. Now that is not what is advertised nor do I want my card authorized for anything at that point! He then tells me it's in the terms and conditions that I agreed to. Very rude and it is not I relooked over and it says that your card will not be charged at all for the first month! So they lied and I no longer will even attempt to get Netflix for my home or rent videos from them as well! Cruddy cruddy customer service! Also I asked for an email address to complain to and was told that there wasn't one and he could write down for me! Wow really?! I in turn found the complaint center that didn't exist!

Netflix customer service

To all moms:
I am here warning you that netflix have movies that are nr - not rated and ur - unrated movies with explicit materials. I have asked management to rate their movies so parents can have control on what their children watches. They have refused to removed any inappropriate materials off their selections and just told me that there might be questionable materials but will not do anything about their selections. And even though you have blocked your children through a pg-13 control, the children are still able to use the search feature and the inappropriate materials movies title will still pop-up. I have banned and refused to do business that do not honor safety for their children.

Netflix
They used to have excellent customer service, now the customer service is terrible! I will make a point to tell all my friends and family how useless this company is! They were good a few years ago but have gone downhill! I cancelled my account after being a customer for 2 or three years. Not a very good selection of Movies and the good ones are on a long waiting list.

Netflix sent me an email to update my credit card information.
When I tried to update the information, Netflix continually
rejected the information I entered. I telephone the company
to find out how to solve the problem. I was told the engineers
were updating the system and there was no way to do that
right now. The representative told me to keep trying. I told
here I had already invested 45 minutes in the process and
did not have time to "keep trying" until they fixed their
software. She said, "There is nothing I can do." I thanked
her and hung up. Then I cancelled my account with Netflix.

How to they expect to grow their customer base with
such awful service? This is one company that seems
to make continuous missteps with customers.

The world is not for children. It's your job as a parent to keep them safe until they are old enough to navigate it themselves. Stop expecting companies to do your job for you. Unless Netflix got you pregnant, it's not their responsibility. Foreign and independent films are often not rated as they are not released mainstream, they are also some of the best works of art available. I don't want to lose access to them because you're upset that your kid might accidentally see a wiener or nipple.

Good god. You couldn't wait a day or two and try again? [censored] happens, sites need maintenance and upgrades. There was no misstep, just routine updating.

Netflix suddenly poor service

After nearly a decade of great service, Netflix has suddenly added a extra day delay on both incoming and outgoing DVD's. Of course they blamed the PO, but both delays started on the same day! Yea, right. So, now the turn-around cycle is about 5 or 6 days... saves a huge amount of money for Netflix. Has anybody tried Blockbuster?

Maybe I am lucky but service has been the same as always for me. Two days (from MA) to show returns, two days for next DVD. Rarely do I have a delivery issue. I do, thou, quite frequently, get discs that freeze, then skip, freeze, etc. I wipe the disc but it doesn't help very often. I also rent-by-mail from their competition and have only had two or three defective discs. Not skipping or freezing but other issues.
