charges due to netflix mistake and now they will not pay for my nsf fee.
I signed up for Netflix and the free trial and I received multiple charges which caused an NSF Fee. Netflix did not give me a free trial because they said my ps3 had been used for Netflix before. That is bs. I have family who have Netflix and watched from my ps3 before but that shouldn't matter because that was their account. Netflix needs to get there ### in order! Now I'm stuck with a NSF fee that Netflix refuses to pay. If only all of us here on Complaints Board could sue Netflix for unauthorized charges.
technical difficulties
If you have a technical problem with Netflix, save yourself some time and give up. They try to help but are totally incompetent. The sound on Netflix when I ran a streaming video started not matching the action---one person's lips moving while the other's voice was heard. Made it unwatchable. I called customer service three times. Two times very friendly and very ineffective at solving the problem. The third call the rep was rude and the only suggestion she could offer was to call up the manufacturer of my computer. Like it was the computer company's problem! I have a 2-yr old HP with a good broadband connection and can get every other streaming video I've tried no problem. Save yourself some time if you have a problem and give up Netflix. All you get from them is bs and frustration.

always have the same movies
We have had Netflix for three or four months now, and as for the picture and the quality of the movies they are working at getting a better picture, and they have been improving their service. my problem seems to be that the DVD service is always holding the same movies, we see no rotation when it comes to the movies for instant watch and DVD’S sometimes our family thinks of a movie and when we request it, it’s on DVD, those movies don’t get any rotation and unless you have the DVD service, we won’t be able to watch the movie.
we have been waiting for movies for three months, and they are still on DVD, does this mean they are never going to be on instant watch at all? we end up going to the video store to rent the movie, and it doesn’t make any Sence to pay money to not be able to watch movies you want to see, I know they are working on giving us good service, the quality of the movies is improving, now work at rotating some of the instant watch with the DVD movies, and then your service will be great, rotate them at least once a month. thank you foer taking my suggestion into consideration.

Apparently Netflix is not all about customer service. Unauthorized charges for Netflix services totaling $47.94 were made against my PayPal account over a 3 month period. First, the fact that 2 different accounts were opened and being charged to the same PayPal account each month did not raise a red flag with Netflix. Next, one of the accounts opened had not even been used. I was told by their customer service that they had investigated and determined that no fraud was committed.
The supervisor I then spoke with informed me that she could do nothing for me and to dispute these charges with my bank. My only mistake was not paying close enough attention to my checking and PayPal accounts. It is a sad state that a company like Netflix with a net worth of $2 billion needs my $47.94 so desperately. Personally, I will never use Netflix.

I tried registering for a free trial on 10/1. After filling in all of my information (including credit card info), I received a message stating that I was not eligible for the free trial (I had an account years ago). I did not know that message meant that they were still signing me up and charging my credit card. I wanted the netflix for a trip I was taking. I just got back from my check, catching up on expenses and noticed a monthly charge on my credit card on 10/3, 11/3 and 12/3.
I called for a refund and was told they’ll cancel my account and refund the 12/3 charge, but they cannot refund any charges past 30 days – even though I did not know I was a member and the service has not been used. I was not notified (by email, phone, etc.) I’ll be contacting the BBB to report this as well.
The latest BS is the advertising that you can not fast forward to the main menu and have to watch! The lastest Harry Potter movie has about 30 minutes and takes an eternity to get past the BS advertising at the beginning of the disk. I finally gave up. Totally, completely and utterly unacceptable! I don’t pay to watch advertising. This is the last straw after the pricing BS a few months ago – and I have been a member since it stared. Good bye and not coming back. What is wrong with you guys – your marketing staff should be canned and the rest of the manangement team can go pound sand!
Netflix doesn't make the movies so they don't control the previews
removal of content
On multiple occasions now the company has pulled a movie from streaming to DVD ordering service only while i was watching it. The site does not announce anywhere that they are removing content and the only place to find dates of removal is if you save the movie in your instant queue. What really got to me is that a large number of the films they have added to the streaming option are older films and shows that can be found on other legitimate sites, hulu etc..., for much less if not free. The other content they are using to replace previous movies is reality/documentary television, and exploitation films. I find it very insulting that they are removing content without notice and replacing it with offensive material, all while still taking my money, As this seems to be a continuing trend I'm done with their service

can't really complain it is only 8 a month for it
they announced it over a week ago, and again several times this past week that their contracts were changing with the content providers. Their major contract with Starz ended today, so all the Starz movies were removed. They also announced they are adding different contracts soon to replace the ones that ended. They are also moving their streaming service more toward television rather than movies, since that is what majority of users watch (myself included).
It was all announced several times in the news.
as for things being "offensive", it is up to you whether you want to watch it or not.
continues monthly billing after cancellation
I would like to know where I can find a phone number for netflix. They continue to charge me several months after I canceled. I continue to get email from netflix to come back so I know they have a record of my cancellation. I hope you can help me.

prepaid card refusal
I didn't even get the chance to be a Netflix customer because they would not allow me to order service with a prepaid credit card! WTF? I have money, I want to give it to you, and you are going to say no because you are worried I won't pay my bill? Metro does it, p g & e does it, CABLE DOES IT and for more money monthly! What the hell make you so special? Why don't you just limit those with prepaid cards to streaming only if you so damn worried people won't give you your movies back? OR allow people to order 3, 6, 9, or 12 month service in a lump sum up front? there are so many other ways to allow service to those of us without credit cards then negating us completely! You are a poorly run company and you are missing out on a a lot of money. Get with the damn program!

Netflix charge record shows that they have charged my acct. once a month on the 11th day. My credit card statement shows that they have charged me twice a month. That is...that they have been double charging me. I want the overcharges refunded to my credit card...and their billing proceedure corrected immediately. I signed up for one monthe of netflix and only one month. I signed up January of 2010. I have not used there service since then. Netflix continued to bill my account. I called Netflix and asked if i am not using there service why do they keep billing me. I spoke with two customer service representatives, who kindly told me it was my responsbility to cancel the account. I stated if you know my account has been dorment why did you not contact me. They stated we tried to email your son account and heard nothing from him. I said why did you not send me something by mail to my billing address. They stated there policy is only to contact through email. I said if you kept taking my money you could have at least sent me somthing by mail. They did not refund my money they returned only one month of service. I said I would like 50% of my money back since you dropped the ball and I probably should have been more aware of your fine print. They told me do whatever you want we are only doing what we said we would do. I asked for the name and address of the CEO of Netflix witch I got and will be writing him a letter. I think if Netflix did this to me they are doing to others. They dont charge alot monthly but it adds up. So if I had not noticed the withdrawal on my statement this could of kept going on forever. I will never use Netflix again and that is what I will be telling my friends.

they charged my card without permission
We rented some movies from netflix back in 2007/08 using our credit card after which we cancelled the on-line account and all went well for a while. at some point they began charging my credit card again although we have not used their service for nearly 3 years. recently I had an occassion to look at the credit card statements and discovered they had reactivated the account without my permission and was charging my credit card for months.

I signed up for Netflix a long time ago...maybe two years for my grandson.. They cut it off from him but are still charging me $16.78 per month. He thought I cut it off but I didn't. when I called Netflix I was told there is not an account under my name and I asked why they keep taking money from my checking account. She told me they only use credit cards now. Today I just got another statement from my bank and it was taken off again. I can't even stop it cause I don't know who to contact and we don't even have the services for at least 3 months already. What's going on?

Changed my plan with out my permission. Have always had the same
plan and in Oct and Nov bill was changed. Did not realize
plan had been changed. Have never watched a movie from computer or TV

I found out that netflix was charging me twice amonth since March of 2011 to now Oct 2011.the only way it came to my attention was that they had charge me three times in sep and three times in October.I call them up in September and they credit me 16.95, never told me that they had me under two accounts.Then I called October the 27th and told them you have three charges on my account one 7.17, $ 7.49, $16.95. thats when I found out they had me under two accounts, then tried to explain .I was using two emails. I told them I went into my account and edit my email being that the other email, I had yahoo to termanate. I kept asking my husband for the longest I thought that netflix bill every month but seems like Im paying every two weeks, well now I see they adding on two accounts without my permission.They put a supervisor on who promise they will pay back june thru October.When I hung up We pull up more bank statements and thats when we found out I had been bill March thru October 2011.I call back and told them about what my bank statement said and then I was informed that I never spoke to a supervisor the first time. I said well I ask for one and they put one on, who promise to refund June thru Oct. Well the guy said Im the real supervisor and the other who name was kevin is not in and he dont get in intil Sunday and in his notes he left he said nothing about givin you june thru october, Wow, I couldnt believe the lies, they owe me close to 100 doallers, l checked my bank account the next day they refunded me only sep and october and the supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, I been a loyal customer since 2005, but you reap what sow.
I signed up for Netflix a year and half ago. I am so unsatisfied with this service. The movies suck first of all. They are usually really old movies or ones that are not very good. I use the online viewing service most of the time and I can never get the movies I want because they are by mail only.
But when I signed up it was on the free trial bases and then I signed up for another year. They just tried to up their price.
I figured since I wasn’t pleased with this service I would cancel it. I tried but they charged my account again this month. I called their customer service line but besides waiting for an hour and then getting hung up on it took forever to get a live speaking person and not a recording. I was so mad! When I finally spoke to a person they were nice enough but didn’t seem to care out how long I was waiting or that the phone system hung up on me. It took three weeks for the charge to be refunded to my account!
Netflix sucks and I am so angry I signed up in the first place. Their selection is not the best and it is such a pain in the a** to cancel.

I have been a customer since Dec 2004. I mailed 2 dvd's back on Friday and realized today I hadn't received any new dvd's. Went to their website and seen that my account was put on hold, no notification from them or anything. I called and ended up having to talk to a supervisor who informed me that my account was put on hold October 21 because they were investigating that out of last 3 months I reported not receiving 2 of the dvd's they said they mailed BUT THEY WENT AHEAD & CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD ONOCTOBER 22 FOR OCTOBER 22-NOVEMBER 22. I asked him why am I being punished for the US Mail he said I wasn't then why am I being charged for a service I am not receiving and he replied I'm not. I then said then why did you charge my credit card? Couldn't get straight answer out of them. I canceled my membership and told him they need to credit my card back. We will see what happens. Ever since they changed their pricing, etc they have gone down hill. You would think now that we are paying more we would have better service. GOOD RIDDANCE!

I cancelled my netflix prescription a while ago and i now have noticed a $7.99 monthly charge on my debit account with above wedsite as contact but no phone number. When i go on netflix website and sign in it states that i do not have an account which is true because i cancelled it. So what is this charge for?

Did you cancel right after your last bill? If you canceled at any time during the month they have to charge you for the movies you were sent that month.

I just found these charges on my accont. I am a single mom, caring for three foser children. I was disputing an aol charge and came across hese. they've been charging my account since December of this year. usually $10.85 few imes a month, along with nationwide enterainment who are these people?
