unnecessary removal of good movies and shows
I am here to let you know that you should not take off friends nor the rocky movies, I'll be honest the only few things keeping next still good are classic shows like friends and old bad [censored] movies like rocky. It's already going down hill since you've taken off so many shows and movies and added on strange pointless ones, I highly suggest you rethink your choices because it seems your competition with other companies won't be a competition at all because they will obtain all the popular stuff that keeps people interested. Thank you, happy new year!
programming and customer service
I turned on a show called Don't [censored] with Cats. Within a very few moments I was literally losing my stomach. I turned it off ASAP. That was when it first came out. I'm still having awful nightmares every night. How could they do this especially during holiday season when depression overwhelms many people? What about kids seeing this awful garbage? Is this what Netflix is turning into? I don't feel it's safe to let my grandchildren watch Netflix anymore when they can access this type of content. I don't feel safe on their site anymore myself. What's next, porn?
I called their customer service but they refuse to let me speak with someone in the United State. They argued they can handle anything and I had no right to speak with a representative in the US. They did suggest I just keep calling back and maybe I'll get lucky and my call could be routed to the US. I did call back twice and spoke with three different people. No luck. Further these agents in the Philippines have never heard of such a program by that name on Netflix. Their answer was that I am free to turn off offensive content at any time or cancel my service. It was suggested that I actually saw the show on a different service.
Really sad they have to turn themselves into this kind of trash. I'm looking for a new streaming service that doesn't have to be so disgusting. Too bad as we really loved Netflix up to this point.
in the dark
In the Dark incorrectly portrays itself as a murder mystery who don' it. The origins of that genre is from Sherlock Holmes. The murder itself is not what makes Sherlock Holmes iconic, it is the mental gymnastics one has to go through to get to the only suspect, the most unsuspecting person of all. All are shocked, in a good way. The murder without the phycological aspect is not that genre. It is misleading. The culprit is so obvious, the end ruins the whole show. The mystery was not a mystery at all, so the show is utterly pointless. Misrepresented the show to draw in fans of murder mysterys, which it is not.
disgusting content choices
"Don't F*** With Cats" is appalling. Deciding to include the actual footage of the kittens being slaughtered was a terrible one. I clicked on this thinking it was online cat videos. Next thing I know I'm seeing innocent kittens being murdered. This needs to be labeled as legitimate animal cruelty and butchery, not "depiction of animal abuse." There's a huge difference between fiction and nonfiction. Your company should be ashamed for thinking otherwise.
Designated Survivor.
After watching the last season i deleted it, watching two men butt f**king in bed and the entire show having sex scenes and smut, I will cancel Netflix. the entire show was nothing but an add for the LGBTQ community. I almost threw up watching to two men scene..
I watch British and Canadian TV. they have good shows.
And what about gay Jesus. It is abhorrent. I left Netflix and suscribe to Amazon instead. They have terrible content but at least it is not blasfemous. Also Big Mouth sucks.
The show “Big Mouth” is absolutely disgusting. It’s about kids who aren’t even in 8th grade yet, thus, CHILDREN...and features sexual innuendo and lewd acts including beastiality, incest and innuendos of sex between these children and adults, or adult figures which appear to be these “hormone monsters”. It’s heartbreaking that an animated show (which should have a rated R warning and explicitly say it’s for Adult audiences...because obviously kids are attracted to cartoons) would exploit children in this manner. In an interview Nick Kroll brags about how much “[censored] they get away with” on the show. This saddens me for youth and for culture in general that such highly unregulated content would be on Netflix that children could easily watch. Please take this absolutely disgusting show away.
I’m still having nightmares from the first couple of minutes before I turned it off. Why would you air garbage like that around holidays when many people are struggling with depression already. Those few minutes made me physically ill.
I came to this site to file a similar grievance. I'm a 35 year old who hasn't been able to sleep since watching this film a day ago. I've vomited twice. I DO NOT believe in censorship, but this movie and Netflix do a completely inadequate job of warning the viewer and the gratuitous showing of film leading up to these gut wrenching scenes should quite frankly have the documentarians credibility thrown into question for any future work. Not okay guys.
sex education and other shows
In many of your shows that are rated MA there is full front nudity and it is pointless continual nudity. Where are the standards for television that once existed. Netflix had the ROCCO documentary rated not even R at the start and it has XXX content. Its shameful that a supposedly family type content provider has no standards at all. Lift your game and stop the smutty content. Everything doesnt have to end up being about sex and nudity for god sake.
It seems today that all you see is violence in movies and sex on TV...
I agree Netflix shows are too dirty. It sucks. There is much more ways to attract an audience such as giving a good story with many twists. keep it clean.
the new movie about jesus
To Netflix and the creators of the movie about Jesus being a homosexual:
Only truly depraved minds can produce and then offer such a blasphemous, pathetic film. For your sakes, i hope you all become able to see the wrong that you've done and truly repent and ask for forgiveness from the one and only Almighty God, and accept the salvation from eternity in hell that He gives only through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
Netflix, you're fired.
David Sunkel
You're a comedy
Zing! :D
complaint
The sound keeps cutting out. If I try to rewind to see (and hear) the parts I've missed, it doesn't start again. This is totally unacceptable: if you can't provide a robust product you shouldn't be in business. You are a total waste of money and I'm making this longer because apparently you don't read short complaints. How many more ways do you want to hear that you suck? And waste more of my time? How do you sleep?
Oh, honey, you are correct in that nobody from Netflix reads this stuff. The sound cutting off, on the other hand, is all on you. Try play something on another device. Does it work? Yes? Ok. Now take a look in the mirror and ask yourself: "are you proud of yourself?". Let me know what the answer is. If you need help with a specific device, please call the customer service and they'll walk you through the troubleshooting.
movies
Netflix is airing a movie predicting Jesus Christ as gay. No group should be ridiculed or bullied and Netflix is doing just that to Christians. A Civil suit should be filed against them. I was a long time loyal member but Hate speech and bullying comes in different forms and I cancelled. I'm not paying a company that bullies and promotes Hate. Racism, of any group should not be allowed.
a film
I am complaining about a film which you show called "don't f**k with cats " I find it highly disturbing to watch I had to turn it off after 10 minutes as it is very very sad and should not be allowed on Netflix as the footage you see on film is very sad ! It's disgusting and should not be shown on tv for anyone to see than it made me sick to my stomach and I only watched the first 10 minutes it's a awful and disgusting and should not be on Netflix !
This film should not be shown on Netflix as it is highly disturbing and very very upsetting and should not be allowed on netflix I had to turn the film of after the first 10 minutes because I could not bare to watch it ! It's absolutely vile and made me sick to the stomach how that is even shown on tv for people to watch ! The footage what is shown of the cats is very very disturbing to watch and it saddens me to see this sort of film to be shown on Netflix
netflix programming, "don't f*ck with cats"
I am so disgusted and angry with Netflix for choosing to air this show, and having the previews run as soon as you turn Netflix on. Have you lost your mind? Have you really gone that low!
I have canceled my service and so have my family and friends due to this program. Are there not enough sick, immoral people in this world, that somehow you feel the need to run this garbage?
You MUST draw a line and you have gone way over it! Animal abuse, Child Porn and Jesus being portrayed as a homosexual! STOP!
Remember, there are other competitors out there wanting your business. Look into your conscious, if not.. at least your business that your going to lose!
I agree their shows are getting dirtier and dirtier.
movie
After watching a Christmas movie tonight, I have decided it is my last viewing of the Netflix originals which mirrors the Christmas Hallmark movies. In this particular movie there was an overtly homosexual character who has a double "date" at the end of the movie (man dating a man). While I have always enjoyed the more family minded style of movies that Hallmark or Netflix Originals has created with Christmas themes, continuing to watch these now goes against my Christian/Biblical values. I do not appreciate watching movies with these themes and definitely do not want to have my children watching them with me. It is a sad time when what was a good family option goes this route for such a small percentage of the population's desires. Christians long for healthy family friendly movies. Please change your mind and do not continue to make movies with homosexual content. It is not just Christians that feel this way. You are going to lose viewership and I am sure that is not what you want. I love the Christmas Hallmark style! Please go back to how you were doing them before this decision to add homosexual characters. It isn't too late!
The family movies are still there, nobody's taking them away from you :-)
netflix user interface makes using the service intolerable
Netflix you have become obnoxious to use. The use of Auto-previews and Auto-episode play are excessive, inefficient, invasive and jarring to the senses. They violate one's personal space by controlling every aspect of how the service can be utilized. They place automatic speed bumps making navigation a nightmare and force users to specific content that cause hits for your advertising purposes. They slow down the rate at which users can browse not that dissimilar to a grocery store putting milk in the back so you must walk past many items. They begin playing episodes not of our choosing which can result in extra steps to stop the program, backup and restart. This behavior eats one's data keeping us on your service longer and jeopardizing those with a data cap. It creates unnecessary noise that can disturb other people in the room. Content playing in these trailers is often unsuitable for children. The most egregious part of this GUI behavior is that one can not turn it off. You have taken away the choice of how customers can use your service and are funneling content in such a way that it benefits your bottom line not ours. You, apparently, are not concerned with the amount of complaints about this or the professional reviews condemning it. This is nothing short of video defecation on the consumer. There needs to be a option to turn these things off or we need move to services such as Disney + which gives us that option. You've been influencing other services because people fixate on petty complaints about content rather than how the service actually controls what we watch. Netflix it's time for you to change these unfriendly to the consumer features or let us opt out of them.
christmas special
The Christmas special where our Blessed Mother is depicted as an dulterer and our Lord Jesus as a homosexual is absolutely disgusting, blasphemous and unacceptable! I hope you know that we are signing petitions and canceling our accounts left and right. You don't make fun of other religions, you just like mocking Christianity? You have blasphemed and we won't stand for it. You depicted God as a homosexual with another man...that's a crime but not one that you'll pay for here on earth. You'll have God to pay. God help you all.
show content
The Christmas "comedy" special that depict Christ as a homosexual and makes fun of the Christian faith is so offensive and blasphemous. I, along with many other, request that this kind of content be removed immediately. I have canceled services and I would like a refund dating back to the time of this shows release as I do not wish to support a company who has no respect for my beliefs as a Christina.
What kind of a response is that? She said that she cancelled services because of the blasphemous Christmas junk that you guys put out that bashes Christianity.
Just pointing out it's not the only show on Netflix, and nobody is forcing her to watch anything she doesn't like.
Hi Christina, it sounds a bit like this show isn't really for you. Have you checked out Fred Claus, might be more up your alley?
the first and last temptation of christ
This is absolute blasphemy and an insult to Christians. People expect equality and respect for all religions, races and genders but then shows like that make fun of the Christian religion. By airing that show Netflix is an accomplice to breaking Christians down. So what is stopping Netflix from breaking all religions down? This makes it a problem for all religions and I hope Netflix gets closed down because of this. No morally good person would even have considered publishing that show.
Sounds a bit like this show wasn't for you then. Maybe check out Elf instead?
complaint
The fact that you cancel actual good content shows like the OA but promote disgusting torture porn like don't [censored] with cats is beyond me. I will never give my money to a company who thinks this is acceptable content. Giving notoriety to this monster of a human is disgusting. You should be ashamed at the lengths you'll go to promote your [censored]ty platform. Out of all the serial killers I've seen this guy doesn't hold a candle to them. And you show these horrendous heinous crimes on the same site you host kids shows? Your site deserves to sink.
the last temptation of jesus
I am cancelling my account over this release. It is disgusting and tasteless. Disney here I come. Your company is ran by spineless cowards as they would never release a movie like this about Mohammed. Plain disrespectful cowards. At least have a little respect and do the right thing and cancel this piece of trash, it will most definitely cost Netflix a lot of business. Hope someone loses their job over this.
Goodbye Netflix
Sounds a bit like this show wasn't for you then. Maybe check out Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding?
Also, sounds like you'd be ok with the show if it regarded a religion other than yours. That's something to think about.
don’t f*ck with cats
I am outraged that Netflix aired this series showing graphic videos of animals and a person being tortured and killed. The series further publicises this man and adds to his motive, which was to receive attention in the first place. I have also found the title to be very misleading, as a cat lover myself, I believed I was about to watch funny cat videos. Instead I witnessed horrible and indecent acts of a man abusing and killing animals and a person. Again I believe this series was giving this narcissist exactly what he wants. I strongly advise Netflix to remove the series as I'm sure many would agree it is disturbing, misleading and publicising a psychopath. I am deeply saddened and disappointed with Netflix for producing this series.
remove the first temptation of christ
Remove The First Temptation Of Christ! This is disrespectful to Christians! I am all for freedom of speech & expressing different opinions but there needs to be a line drawn. This is offensive! It should be offensive to everyone. Even if you are not Christian it is just disrespectful . You should not play any shows or movies that so obviously disrespects anyone's beliefs! I'm appalled by the nerve of Netflix right now! Although I'm a Christian I would be equally upset if it was a show disrespecting another faith! It is one thing to air a show depicting a different view or interpretation of a belief & a total different thing to allow such disrespect & making fun of our Lord and Savior! Shame on you Netflix. We will cancel our subscription!
Sounds a bit like this show wasn't for you then. Have you seen Cinderella Story: A Christmas Wish? Maybe check out that one instead?
tv series
The first temptation of Christ is so belittling to many christians. I am offended by the show as the involvement of a very important figure being mocked is very inconsiderate for others. As cooperating religion with so called comedy is not fine at all. The actor playing Jesus in the series defends the show calling it homophobic for the backlash. But how come other shows in Netflix have not received any backlash from gay characters on other shows by christians. This is because your teasing our god.
