I have called numerous of times its been a week my accounts locked I cant transfer any of my money its gonna be another week befofe I get a card so it will be 2 weeks ive gone with no money my bills that were due are now behind have no gas money to make it to work or get food for my family.. I have money in my account but netspend wont unlock it to withdraw my money all I get from
Netspend is we understand what your going through... No the # you dont how can you make someone go 2 weeks without a way to get their money... I watched my direct deposit go into the account and cant use it

My account was locked i have a card in my name only but when filed its refund the husband name is first so its not on my netspend card wonder if thats why

The same exact thing has happened to me while out of town. BC me and baby mama share same acct. She has uses it for direct deposit and so do I. But the acct is in my name. They lock the acct BC of unauthorized transaction, send me new for cost of $25.00 so I try transfer money to western union so I have some money till get the new card. They lock online access to acct. It's got over $1500.00 in and we are out of town stuck. I sent copy of id, proof address, taxes, confirmation where I filed for new ss card. Nothing I send is good enough. They then tell me my account is locked BC I'm receiving direct deposits in another name well it's my baby mama's name. So now they want documents of hers. For my acct. She refuses say it's not secure. Mind you we've been sharing this acct for nearly a yr and they just now saying something about it. But we are stuck out of town, broke, with no money with my daughter and they careless. This is bs its my acct. I've verified my identity at most they should just refuse her direct deposit and ask her to open her own but no they refuse to unlock the acct. I just don't what else to do. My new card is blocked before I ever got.

I didn't read the super super super small print somewhere at the endcap at the store when I bought the card that I was actually buying a temporary card that I couldn't use until I provided my SSN, Photo ID & Utility Bill. I didn't know I was joining a checking account when I went to buy a pre-paid debt card. Read the front, back, inside front, inside back before you decide to buy from Netspend. Your NOT actually buying a pre-paid card, your buying into a Netspend money hole. Look around for another company first, you will thank me later!

My account is locked with no explaination and it conveniently locked after hours so there is no one to help. If when I call tomorrow nothing is done my next call will be to a lawyer. I have no access to my money to pay my bills I am beyond angry. Do. It use netspend

My account is locke i called custumer care they said send as some documents like driving licence social security i sent them the documents but still have same issue i mailed customer servies but didnt get reply

I purchased a card on 03/20/2018 and end up leaving my card at work and needed money so I called and did my research and was told by several employees that I could purchase another one and they could transfer the money onto the new card. So that's what I did. Then when I called back to get the money transferred they then tells me it takes 4 hours to process because the managers or whomever has to approve it. To make a long story short they are liars, I still have to wait for the actual card to come; I had no way of getting to work, they asked the same questions as if they do not know what they were doing, and Thank God I found a way of getting to work where I left my card at. And to tell them my situation and they had me to do all that and did not help. They do false advertisement because they lied the hold time to me they are the worst ever and I will not be doing any business with them ever again. So when I get my card I'm done. Netspend needs to be shut down.

seems like a common experience.

I got locked out of my netspend account today, I'm guess somewhere between 4PM and 7PM. Because I checked my balance sometimes around 2PM. Tried to login at 6:30PM and I get a message saying Ive been locked out of my account.

No explanation, no warning, and its after hours on a [censored] Friday so of course I cant contact anyone. Now Im stranded with no access to money until I can somehow resolve this situation. And judging by the previous comments, its going to be a hassle getting them to cooperate and unlock my account.

The weird thing is I didnt even use my card for anything today. No idea why the account would be locked, its like someone made some sort of error and mistakenly locked my account? I dont know, but this is ridiculous.

I just need a new card sent to a new mailing address and I can't get through to a customer service agent, and for some reason, the system won't let me do it on-line. I can log-in to view my balance and profile as well as other things. Every time I call 1-86-NETSPEND.. the automated voice teller tells me to please enter my social security number. then after I do... It still wants me to give the last four digit of the last active card, which I do not have. Please send a new to new address and update mailing address

I just got my card went to use it and it would not work even though i just put money on it. So i go to check my account and its saying im locked out and to contact customer service, it wont load the contact by email page and the phone call was no help this place is a joke ive had nothing but trouble with this card and now i got money on it i cant even get to. everyone shoud just sue theses guys. therers way to many complaints of this crap happening it stupid

"account locked" um, why? this is ridiculous, and of course, nothing is solved because these idiots act as they've never heard of "shared account" before. if I give you all the information, and the card has a [censored]ing negative balance, what am I going to steal, exactly? im just trying to make sure the stupid card works before I add my entire paycheck to it and then don't have any [censored]ing money.

Better yet, why the [censored] can I still receive funds if the account is locked, you [censored]ing [censored]s.

yes! lets sue! i report my card stolen, the next day they allow someone to access my online account, transfer all but fifty cents of my $600 stimulus to their own personal card and then lock me out of my account as soon as they issue the credit until i can "prove my identity"! ummm, the idiot who accessed my account and stole my money didnt have to prove his identity an the account holder informed you the card was stolen which should have locked the account, but instead you allow funds to be removed with no identity proof needed and then further violate the person who trusted you with their money by blocking them from accessing their money when it is proven that your negligence resulted in theft to begin with! the account holder shouldnt have to prove anything, the company that allowed the robbery and was at fault should not be in any position to withhold the credit when they already failed to keep the money safe!

I’m suing. They allowed someone to transfer all my money to another account via an agent. I filed a police report and a dispute with Netspend. Now they canceled my account and said I am no longer eligible for another one because I am high risk. I’m high risk because they allowed someone to take all my money?!?

I just my card and try to activate, everything was going well until all off the sudden when i was about to finish, it blocks me. It showed to call customer service but the automated service is no help to me. Frustrated I try a different link to activate the card and once again no luck. Netspend has not only wasted my time but took the hope of receiving some financial support. Thankfully I didn't put any money in it, I was locked out before I could do anything. Netspend this is for you, you have created nothing but aggravation and, Why are you locking people out? You're customer service it's a joke. Your company should be ashamed.

This company is locked up my card and refuses to release my almost seven thousand dollars have callled and got the run around and sent documents they refuse to acceot my expired drivers license due to covid and our dmv not open any time soon. they dont give a [censored] and continue to lie saying they can not contact anyone in cooperate... they flat refuse to be concerned about any severity of a situation nor give a flying [censored] if they strand you or starve you as they basicly tell you there is nothing they can do and no managment to assist. this is theivery and I need to know who to call to address this issue immediately I filed complaints with the federal trade commission the fdic and the occ as well as council for lawsuit do not use this netspend they will steal your money and dont give a fick about you

This is complete garbage. I only have like $13.00 on my all access card but can't even access my online account and it's telling me the card ending in, whatever it said, is locked. I really need that has money. wtf NetSpend? Get it opened, NOW

I had over $10, 000.00 US deposited into a NetSpend account over 2 weeks ago, the account is locked, their customer service representatives do not help, they only pass you on to the next department over and over.

When I told Customer service about my account being locked, I was told that I needed to log in to my account on the website.

How do I log in to my account when it is locked?

She then told me to try using the Android app to log in.

Really? Log in to my account? Sounds great. IF IT WASN'T LOCKED THAT MIGHT WORK, EINSTEIN.

Two full weeks of this, daily, and I'm convinced the have stolen my money and there is no resolve.

About 36 hours ago, I was passed on to the security dept or whatever, and I was told it would be resolved within 24 hours.

Nope.

Where I'm from, sealing $10, 000.00 from someone comes with consequences.

The FTC representative I spoke with was very helpful.

I encourage all of you to file a formal complaint with the FTC.

NetSpend has been doing this for years and years.

Even after being sued by the FTC in 2016, and paying MILLIONS in settlements, 1000's of people are being done this way each year, many accounts are closed and money is not refunded.

I'm probably next...

Hi ho, hi ho, straight to the FTC I go.

Account locked down for no reason, didn't even receive an email or anything to let me know it was locked until I tried to login, WELL GEE YOU DON'T SAY. Pretty shady right there.
Been using this card for years and never had a problem until now. I send them an email about my issues, still no response after two days, so I call. Representatives are no help whatsoever and don't care, just redirect you to someone else to wait another twenty minutes. Finally get to the point where I have to send in verification via email of my identity after already having plenty of proof ON THE PHONE. Jump through hoops to get them to accept my ID, Proof of address, AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. No response back for another three days while I have absolutely no money to get gas, food, or pay my due bills the entire time. I call them on the phone again and am not let down by their sheer lack of care. They just repeat the same thing over and over without even listening to what you're trying to explain to them. Can't cancel the card or get a refund, can't withdraw my money out, can't even login to my account to do anything. Can't use the money I busted my a** for to be able to live and my savings are locked up with it.
This company is shady as he**, I wish I had done the thorough research beforehand and went with an actual bank or even just carrying my money around everywhere with me, would have been a lot safer than letting Netspend hold it, honestly. Leaving it outside on the sidewalk with a sign above it would be safer. Definitely learned my lesson now, never again will I give a single cent to this company, and if anyone asks me about it, I will make sure they know to steer far, far away from it. I feel for all the other people here who have experienced the same thing or worse.

After reading all these complaints the big question is why is this company still around why is no one hearing or doing anything about our injustices where is the main offices is it from this country or who is in charge surely not the clowns we talk to enough noise the right way we don't like to be bad mouthed publicly and not have the world know their wrong doings

Mr. Tom now I'm really concerned that my information will be overlooked or placed in the wrong hands because the gentleman who assisted me earlier gave me a email address Documents@netspend.com but it didn't seem accurate after researching
Also he mentioned that once info has been received and everything appears to be legitimate my acct will be unblocked after 6 business hours

I sent my documents only to have them denied. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. You rotten mf'ers! My Social security card is 40 years old & legible! But you want me to not eat or pay bills until I can get a new card. Or close my account & I starve for the same amount of time. I gave you valid information you asked for. You got some real pieces of chit working for you.

netspend locked my husbands account with no reason as to why it was locked. They said that they can send a refund check in the mail and it will take up to 10 business days for him to receive it. And when he get it he has 90 days to cash the check or he will not be able to receive funds after 90 days. So I asked my self why he could not get the money from the card. They stated that the bank made the decision to close the account and that he is no longer eligible to apply and receive another account. Doesnt make any sense at all now he has to wait to recieve money he loaded at a cash place. He now has to wait 2 weeks to recieve a check. That netspend cant give a reason why. NETSPEND will never ever get my services and I hope they are found out by many and destroyed.

someone please help me. They locked my account for no reason..I am a retired senior and I pay my bills with this money. They locked my account for no reason. I could not pay my car insurance.
