Netspend Locked my account after sending over 7 peices of verification
My account was locked while on vacation. No understanding whatsoever. I sent my ID and ss card as well as my car insurance paperwork dated within 30 days for my current address. While out of state these weren't acceptable. This has now been 3 weeks. I have had my ID and ss card accepted but not my secondary verification of address. I have sent pay stubs, my w2, my car ins with address. I have even FAXED the last few items in now. My bills are all behind. And even watched a SECOND direct deposit go into the account that I can't touch. Enough is Enough. What do I need to do to get my money out of there and close my account.

Unauthorized debit withdrawal
Ref # [[protected]], On 06/23/2021, this was the date I first filed my Dispute of the Unauthorized withdrawal from Crunch Fitness Gym. The total of the withdrawals was totaled out to $2,100.00. These transactions were not authorized by me. After a couple of months, I was by told them, No ERROR WAS FOUND. I immediately contacted Netspend and filed a dispute and asked them how could they say that, when I didn't authorize the withdrawal? I said I have had my debit card compromised. I contacted Netspend to follow up on the claim and was told that, it was found that it was no suspicious activity. I am beyond irritated because I know for a fact, I did not make those transactions. I want my money back. I asked Netspend customer service to reopen my Dispute or to speak with a supervisor or transfer me to the dispute team, she refused and came up with every excuse she could think of not to make this happen. I also asked for the corporate office number and was told Netspend didn't have one. These unauthorized withdrawal transaction, at the time they happened is has caused me to go in debt and it's not fair to me. I even filed a Police INCIDENT/INVESTIGATION REPORT CASE#[protected] filed on 08/23/2021. At the Roswell Police Dept. Roswell GA 30076. Crunch Fitness-Carmelo Apodaca-Supervisor is located 625 Holcomb Bridge Rd Roswell GA 30076 phone #[protected]. I had two different contract agreements, with them. 1) with Netspend Flare account #0465-started on 03/04/2021, this card was only authorized to have the gyms payment(s) of $29.99 monthly and the annual payment of $49.00 take off that card or from that account. 2) I started a personal training session with them also, but I used another bank and card all together. For the training, I used Robins Federal Credit Union account #8099 started on 03/12/2021 and the payment of $420.00 was to come from that account. Also, another key is, I didn't start these agreements on the same day. I tried to stop the last two payment for training, my request was denied, and I got charged $420.00 x2 for that month equaling $840.00. I was told by Carmelo, that I had two card/accounts on file. I never authorized the payment of $420.00 to drafted from my Netspend Flare account. However, my dispute judgement said NO ERROR was committed. I never saw or provide of the copy of what investigation was conducted. Crunch Fitness drafted money from my account without my knowledge or authorization approval. I had just retired from the Department of the Veterans Affair with over 30 years' service to include being a US Army Desert Storm Veteran, and mostly the money going into that account was and still is my Retirement pay. There was way I could even afford to pay a gym training of $840 per month, that was the main reason I had two contract agreement. I even explained that when I signed up and asked them NOT to switch/jump over on the accounts.
Desired outcome: I want to get a refund of my Retirement pay.

I was told that I would receive a provisional credit of 781.00 on Feb 2 2022 instead of receiving provisional credit as told in email I called on Feb 3 to find out I would be mailed a letter about situation instead don't sound rights to me now my lights are past due cause my account was in negative due to a netspend error I find it amazing that they provide promotional promises filled and backed bye lies I was emailed I followed provisional credit guidelines and promised just that but still no credits and the day after I'm waiting for a decision in mail form 😀 I been paperless since I started account but now paper involved but not the money kind A mazing

So called gift card
My daughter gave me and my father these gift cards. After making you place personal information they stated they would send another card in the mail. Thank God I am an officer and read everything before activating this. Tried to open an account and charge 5 dollars a month and a 15 dollar close out fee if I activated it. My poor father who is much older already did and will probably break even due to this scam. So my daughter wasted her earned money on a so called gift card. It was only 30 dollars and also the 30 dollars for my father she gave to. This is absolutely wrong at so many levels if anyone wanted to open a bank account they would but not from some shady gift card. Also I will add that all of the sudden I have several identity theft transactions out of nowhere? Coincidence perhaps but amazing timing if you ask me. I will never activate this so called account for this is supposed to be a gift card not a trap. If this is not resolved this will be reported to the Attorney General Consumer fraud division.
Desired outcome: Simply refund my daughters money for me and my father's so called gift card.

Netspend closed my account ..I'm not sure of the exact date but I tried to login on Jan 14th to see if my direct deposit was in and the account said blocked (which has happened a few other times in the past 10 years) So I tried calling a few times couldn't get through until the following day The person I talked to said my account was not blocked it was closed..I asked why she said because I wasn't in compliance...but couldn't tell me anything else...So I figured let me call the next day maybe someone else can elaborate on why it was closed...the 2nd and 3rd time I got the same answer ...so I asked if I could reopen it...they said nope but I could open a new account Why the heck would I want to do that when all my direct deposits are associated with the closed account? The 4/5 emails I sent 2 were answered with...we can't help you online you need to call

Netspend closed my account on Saturday, January 29, 2022 claiming third party fraud. I had my payroll check deposited the day before. They informed me they would send a replacement card immediately as i told them I lived paycheck to paycheck and must have access to money. I literally only had 18$. They have not lived up to their promise to immediately send me a replacement card. I have called them everyday and they are giving me the run around. They say its been mailed but wont give me a tracking number. They told me to purchase another Netspend debit card and they would transfer my money to it. Once I purchased the card they refused to transfer my money and further refused to give me a reason. In the meantime my phone bill had been paid using their automatic payment system. Due to them closing my account and not giving me a new card promptly my phone was shut off. I have no phone service now. My car insurance was also to be automatically withdrawn but due to them uniliaterrally closing my account now I have no car insurance. My utilities are to be turned off Tuesday.. I have no money to buy food. I have enough gas left in my car to go to work tomorrow. Afterwards I have no way to get to work and have no more sick time so I may lose my job. My rent is past due. I call them--using a friend's phone-and they give me "the check is in the mail" routine but refuse a tracking number. They claim to have sent it out Saturday. I am a senior citizen with no one to help me. I am literally going to be homeless due to this company's callousness. I literally have zero money and this company is aware of it but they simply don't care.

My son put money on an unactivated card that my youngest son ordered. My oldest didn't look at the card before putting money on the card or known it was da wrong card. Ived been calling customer service to refund or forward the money into my card. Each time, customer service always gives me the run around. I can't get a supervisor in the phone. The reps thinks they could help with everything but refunds. Gift card
Received a Gift Card from my brother. Held onto it for a year because it's "good thru 3/23". Tried to spend it today and declined no matter how it was entered. They kept transferring and putting me on hold. After 30 minutes waiting in Bed Bath and Beyond I left.
They first said it was locked because I hadn't used it?!
Then they said I needed a pin to use at POS - no one could do it, thus all the transferring. Sounded like the same voice each time
Past history-In an Earlier call to them they had tried to deduct monthly amounts from the $100 because it hadn't been used yet. They quickly corrected that, or they said they did.

Netspend doesn't seem to understand that identity theft has occurred and address they now have on file is not the same address fiance has lived at when he got card and ever since. So when he sends proof of address, it doesn't match what they have so they say they can't open account or return his money. They've even sent him mail at the address...

Netspend is a fraudulent company.
I was recently gifted a $100 prepaid card from a relative, and when I tried to activate it I was directly to call customer service. According to them, my relative purchased the card on June 15, 2020 and that the card had expired after 120 days from this date. Apparently netspend was also charging $5 a month in maintenance fees to a card that I hadn't even activated so the balance was $4.95 according to them. Please don't make the mistake of ever purchasing one of these cards. It's literally throwing money down the drain.

I was continuously lied to you about receiving provisional credit for $1, 700 in unauthorized charges the day I was supposed to receive the credit I was told over and over again that it would be posted and it never was. January 4th 2022 is the day I was supposed to receive my credit I sat here all day calling over and over again and was told that it showed on their computer screen that I was to receive my credit once they were closed however I was given an option to push number one for my claim and was said that I would receive a letter in the mail giving their findings

This company stole my direct deposit blocked my account the week of Xmas, no food or bills were paid. Sent in every piece of info I found it to be to personal copies of your SSN and ID. I complied and they still rejected my photo ID, approved the SSN I canceled my card and was told we will send your money in the mail that I had in the account due to cancelation. Today I was told there is no money coming and you need to contact your job and ask for them to give you documents about your job your position how much you get paid, and a photo copy to receive your refund that you had in the account the week of Xmas. Netspend is a SCAM! Blocked my account, for no reason and stole my money. I called my job to tell them not to deposit my check on the deleted account what did they do. How stupid deposit my check in Netspend that is closed now I have to wait five business days to receive a paper check. Netspend informed me that you have no money but if you do call your job and tell them to REFUND YOUR MONEY YOU HAD IN THE ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU WERE BLOCKED SIR! DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE? Do not get this card they are a scam we need a lawsuit!

There were 2 times money was taken out of my account with out my approval. The first time was 100 dollars. The second time was 300 dollars. I complained they say they will investigate and call me back. That's was 3 months ago. Never heard from them or the money also I had to cancel my card like 3 times cause someone else had my info. And I have to stay with no money until i get the new card. Thats ridiculous

Hello, my name is Wynette Worthy. I purchased a card for my granddaughter for a christmas present, I believe it was on the 19th of Dec.2021 and put $50 on the card for her to use. I was under the impression that she could use the card for future deposits, she's only 12 yrs old. They would not activate the card saying she needs to send in proof of residence and I.D or she could spend the card at a store, she can't do that if the card is not activated. She informed me that she isn't able to activate the card, so I called your customer service line on Thursday 12/23/21 and spoke to two of your workers. At the time I was at my daughter's house trying to get this straightened out over the phone, they kept asking her to get on the phone, when she did and gave them permission to speak to me about it, they kept sending me to the automated voice set up system which kept saying we needed to speak to a customer service rep. I asked to get a refund from them, they said my granddaughter (Erin Johnson) needs to provide I.D, proof of residence and email it to your company. I tried explaining to them that she's only twelve she doesn't have those things. I'd be glad to provide those things being that I'm the one who purchased the card for her in the first place. I still have the receipt. Your workers on the customer service line are hard to understand and Rude. This is my first and last time using this service. I've made call after call and no one will even listen to what I have to say to try and resolve it. Please contact me ASAP or I will report this to the Better Business Bureau. She's not old enough to sign anything legally. I thought it was just a card that she could use when she wanted to purchase something online. Please contact me, before I have to take further actions.

The week of Xmas I had to transfer money to my moms account like I have done before, she needs heart medicine and I pay for that. I went to atm and didn't take money out fast enough and it took it back. $200 I called Netspend that day 12/2 and was told it might take a couple weeks to get back. Netspend closed my account without notice, stating they could no longer protect my identity, but wouldn't reveal if someone tried to hack into my account. I was told a check for the remaining balance would be sent via UPS within 7-10 business days but I haven't received my money and it's been over the allotted time. During a pandemic, with a 13 year old son and no money to survive on is terrible and you guys should be ashamed of yourself. Netspend couldn't even provide me a tracking number which is odd if the check was mailed via UPS. I'm going to call a lawyer, the DA, the news and any other outlet because I shouldn't have to wait this long for my check.
