email address changed
I received a email from NetSpend after the fact, stating that my email address was change, included the new email address it .was changed too I called right away and informed them it was not me. I told them that it was idenity theif and I needed all the information so I could file a police report. They told me that they couldn't release any information to me. so I asked for a supervior was told there wasn't one on the floor. then was told I would be contacted I was but when I called back no one ever answered. i can't get into any of my that is under that email address. now I'm getting emails about that my email address that was changed from the FBI.
Desired outcome: I want to press charges and I want a full investigation. Also compensated
NetSpend why are all your comments or replies the same. You don't answer nothing, just telling everyone to email you! We would not be on this site if our issues were handle in the first place including emails . I don't feel comfortable emailing now. So what is the solution. Fraudulent charges and refunds to the WRONG people. There customer service.
Okay so I recently got a NetSpend card and put some money on it and then I went overseas cuz I'm in the military and I went on deployment, so before I came back someone swiped my card out of my house when my ex-wife wasn't home and spent all my money on that card and they end up disputing their own fraudulent charges and NetSpend rewarded them and give them the credits back so they won twice so when I come home I see some unauthorized transactions and I dispute them and I get shut down. Then they send me a check for $5, a slap in the face and close my account out I'm missing $300 I serve my country and I come home to this stuff check out the addresses I wasn't even the states when this went down

Bought a new prepaid debit card with $230 on it and cant activate it
They say I caant activate it because its blocked due to a ace prepaid card that has a negative 100 balance on it from 12 years ago. This is bs and that money put on this card was for the electrical so I could keep the ac on for my kids tommorow. Stolen debit card
my funds on my netspend card have been depleted and not by my approval. July 2nd 2022 was the last time I made and transactions on my account which was a transfer made from another account to my card ending in 7756. I received the transfer for 600$ and then all activities since then hv not been made by me. Im assuming all these payments and services were made on the device that was stolen frm me. Im willing to do whatever legal proceedings necessary to resolve this issue. because All the transactions between my accounts depositing cash that have been made adding to the amount of 820$ have not been done with any of my knowledge and i want this issue resolved as soon as possible thank you.

Netspend locked my debit card because my doctor tried to collect a payment too many times. Temporary provisional refund credit
I have summited claims and or disputes. Sent all the necessary information needed and was told I don't need to do anything further. But I want my temporary provisional refund credit. I need to pay bills and take care of emergency expenses and was told that I should have no problem recieveing it. By a netspend employee I called thru customer service! Please help

Interestingly, the FTC had already brought an earlier complaint against Netspend. In the matter, settled in 2016, the FTC alleged that “once people have loaded funds onto the [Netspend] cards, many of them find they cannot access their money, either because Netspend denies or delays [legally required] activation of the card, or because it blocks consumers from using it.”
According to the complaint, many people have had difficulty satisfying Netspend’s identity verification process for activation. Often, the consumers—who could not access their funds for weeks, or at all—suffered financial hardships such as evictions, car repossessions and late fees on bills while their money was unavailable. In addition, the FTC’s complaint alleged that consumers who had closed their card accounts and requested refunds waited several weeks for their money. In other cases, consumers’ funds were depleted over time by recurring Netspend fees. To settle the FTC charges, Netspend agreed to provide refunds to those people who couldn’t access their deposited funds.
As former FTC Commissioner Terrell McSweeney noted at the time, “…some consumers never obtained access to the funds loaded onto their Netspend cards; the complaint alleges that Netspend did not activate accounts for many consumers even after they provided [the] additional information or documentation Netspend requested to verify their identity.” If netspend trys to send money back to sender VA whom ive already spoken they will be accountable for further delaying of a source of income use for my basic living.

Customer service call center
I called customer service because my card had been deactivated. I found out that someone (not me) had reported the card lost or stolen.
The person I talked to had no idea how to work in a customer service position. She asked to verify my address. I gave it to her and she said nothing about it being a different address then what was on file. She then said she had to send out a new card because the old card had been blocked. It was then that she told me that the address was wrong. I asked her what address was one file. She won't give it to me. So I asked her if it was Sherwood. She confirmed it was the address on file. I had called last August to change my address when I moved. I told her that was my nieces address to go ahead and send the card there and I would get it from her. She refused to do that. So I gave her my new address again. Which I had to repeat to her 4 times before she could read it back to me correctly. When I asked her a question she just went silent. I asked her another question. Again she was silent. I asked her a 3rd question. Why wasn't she answering my question. Still silent. I sat there for 10 more minutes to see if she was going to come back or hang up. She did neither. I hung up and called back. I got who I thought was a nice person this time. I explained to her how I had been treated and she expressed her apologies. I told her I wanted my money back and my account closed. She asked if there was anything she could do for me to keep my account open. I said no, I wanted to close it. She took my addresses to where I wanted a check sent for the money I still had in my account. I only had to give it to her once. She then explained to me about some check prices fee of $5.00. I said considering the way I have been treated today that was unexceptable. She asked me to hold fire 2 minutes if get an OK from a superviser to get a curtasey ok to wave the fee. I said yes. As of right now, I've been on hold for 50 minutes. I HAVE BEEN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR MANY MANY YEARS. IF I TREATED A CUSTOMER THAT WAY, I WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED ON THE SPOT. The way I've been treated today is totally unexceptable and I will Dora's the word to everyone I know to NEVER Everson any business with you people. You are the very worst customer service people I have ever come across! When someone did finally come back to the phone she said that the other lady got the waiver and never bitterest to come back and tell me. UNEXCEPTABLE again!

Date May 25, 2022 NetSpend locked my account, for what reason is beyond me. Now I've submitted documents supporting my identity, the source of deposits is the United States Treasury VA, I submitted my Award letter with the amount being deposited, also submitted my VA ID along with Drivers license and social security card. The address on the account is a former address and I only pay rent no utilities, my current address wich isn't on the I only pay rent no utilities. I can't change the address cause I can't get into my online account, I have no physical card, I have a virtual card. Since January only 2 transactions per month occurs every month on the same dates. The address policy is not effectively consider alot of living situations. I rely on that income, to wich I haven't had access to since May 25, if this is not resolved today I'm contacting VA to investigate NetSpend

Anthony Griffith, on May 25, 2022 not long after receiving my VA pension deposit my account was locked. I have no physical card, I use a virtual card, I've sent my Driver's license, and social security card. I do not pay for utilities, the address on my account is not my current address, but NetSpend wants me to send proof of address that's on the account in order to unlock it. Now I've been going in circles with this, this is ridiculous cause they want accept address unless it's utilities bill, are bank statement, but I bank with NetSpend. Something has to change this is probably their #1 complaint.

Deep blue debit (employee incentives)
As a former employee of Liberty Tax, I was given a deep blue debit card for employees but when I attempted to activate it, I was told by net spend that I was unable to open an account, me and another employee. I was told that I would be mailed my incentive. My employer told me that deep blue has nothing to do with them and Netspend is not aware of what’s going on and said any funds would simply be redirected so I’m confused and wondering where did my incentives go because I worked pretty hard and starting to feel cheated..
Desired outcome: My deep blue bonus incentive paid out. Especially since everyone else received theirs during the season and I was told to wait until tax season was over to inquire about what I worked for.
