I've been checkin' out Newsweek for a real long time, ya know? First, I used to read it in paper form, and now I'm all about the online edition. They got this unbiased and reliable reportin' goin' on, just like how journalism used to be.

I was planning on subscribing to Newsweek, but I quickly changed my mind. Newsweek's online newsletter is like the internet version of Fox News, but even more extreme. They allow racist comments to be posted without any opportunity for rebuttal.

Let me give you an example. There was a comment posted by someone named "Terry - 24 March 2022" that said, "Flush all Jungle Mud down the sewer," referring to African Americans. Newsweek accepted that comment without hesitation. However, when someone tried to reply with the phrase "White Trash" on 4/14/2022, Newsweek rejected it.

But here's the real kicker. Newsweek actually accepted a post that advocated for the killing of children. Can you believe that? Someone named "Herbert Hoover" posted on 11 April 2022, saying, "I would wholeheartedly support Israel wiping those roaches off the face of the earth. Men, women, and CHILDREN." And Newsweek was perfectly fine with that. When I responded on 4/14/2022, saying, "Killing children? Are you Russian or Israeli?" my comment was rejected. So, according to Newsweek, it's okay to call children "roaches" and advocate for their killing, but they won't allow any criticism of that.

And it doesn't stop there. I tried to post a comment that included the phrase "conservative wingnuts" as a general statement about radical conservatives, without naming anyone specifically. But Newsweek rejected it, while at the same time allowing even harsher criticism of liberals. They let comments like "left-wing public schools" and "indoctrination agenda" slide, as well as "the Left's assault on ~".

Just recently, on 4/24/2022, Newsweek published an article discussing how J.D. Vance called Trump an "idiot." I tried to leave a simple one-sentence comment, quoting the Newsweek article and agreeing with J.D. Vance's assessment, but guess what? Newsweek rejected it.

If you're looking for the kind of bigotry that Newsweek promotes, then maybe you should subscribe to the Ku Klux Klan Gazette. But if you're not into that, I suggest you skip Newsweek altogether.

So, like, we can't really tell what the interviewers were thinking, you know? We can't see their body language or hear their tone of voice. But if we analyze the statements, this question seems pretty neutral, you know what I mean?

I mean, it's not some tricky question or anything. It's just a simple yes or no question. If you had just said yes, you would have had to think for a few seconds to explain yourself.

Some people might say the question was direct, but it's a totally legit question. If you had taken a moment to think about someone other than yourself before writing this article, you would have realized that HR managers need to justify their hiring decisions to their bosses. They gotta be accountable for bad choices, you know?

And this is even more important if the person being hired is part of a professional group or something.

Plus, you were surprised by some of the questions in the interview. When they're hiring, recruiters don't want to hear rehearsed answers. They want a real answer that shows who you are, your situation, and what you expect from your career.

And let's not forget, the interviewers might be trying to see how well you can socialize, how creative you are, if you can handle stress, or even if you're humble enough to admit when you don't know something.

I'm sorry, but as someone who went to business school, your article just proves that you're not ready to get back into the job market yet.

You know what really gets me? These blogs and news outlets, man. They act like they're all about freedom of speech, but it only applies to them and people who agree with them.

With these biased media outlets, professionals can't even share their honest opinions in their own field if it goes against their self-serving agenda. It's messed up, man.
