I was overcharged without explanation on a website.
I visited the website where the price was listed as approximately 7 dollars, but was unexpectedly billed a much higher amount. I'm clueless about their services or identity. Unauthorized charges were made to an account lacking sufficient funds. Online reports suggest this site frequently scams people. Intervention by authorities is necessary. I expect a refund or I'll escalate the issue through my contacts, confident of a favorable outcome.
I tried the free 7 day trial of Ninja Outreach software and got charged right away without my permission
I tried the free 7 day trial of Ninja Outreach software and got charged right away without my permission. They won't give me a refund and they lied about it. I signed up on August 13th and it was supposed to be a free trial, no upgrades or switches. But just 5 minutes later, my bank texted me asking if I authorized the charge. I said no right away. I talked to my bank and they started a dispute. They told me to contact Ninja Outreach, so I did. Ninja Outreach said I upgraded my plan, but that's not true. They also said I switched to an annual plan, which is also not true. I attached their response. I looked up the company online and found many others who got scammed the same way in the past few months. There was no email receipt or anything, just $2000 gone. This company is so dishonest and has been scamming people for months. We need to stop them. Please help me take action against this company. I attached similar complaints from different websites.
On Thursday the 16th of January, I signed up for a free 7-day trial for an influencer outreach platform called Nijna Outreach
On Thursday the 16th of January, I signed up for a free 7-day trial for an influencer outreach platform called Nijna Outreach. They are based in Massachusetts, US. It required an email and debit/credit card details. On Friday the 17th of January, I wanted to double-check their pricing plans because I wanted to compare their prices to similar platforms. I wasn't able to find their pricing page, so I clicked on the UPGRADE button on the top right expecting to be taken to a page where it gives you the prices and options to purchase plans from there. At that point, I was debited for a full year's subscription to the amount of $1428. There was absolutely no checkbox or any other alert to tell me that if I clicked UPGRADE that I would immediately be debited. Within minutes, I contacted *** over chat. There is no phone number on their website or an email address so the chat function was my only option. I told her that I had made a mistake and had unintentionally upgraded. She knew I was still on the free trial. In her reply, she refused to grant me the refund. Although I explained repeatedly that I did not upgrade intentionally, still Kit refused, saying that the website makes it clear. I finally got to speak to the CEO *** I explained what had happened. He also refused to give me a refund. There are a lot of complaints on Twitter and review sites such as G2 and Capterra detailing the same situation - people falling foul to signing up for something they don't want. Ninja Outreach's Terms & Conditions does not have a cooling-off period and they state that no refunds are permitted. However, at no time do they make this clear during the buyer's journey. If they did, so many people wouldn't be complaining. Ninja Outreach are engaging in unfair business practices and people should be made aware.

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
SCAM/FRAUD
SCAM/FRAUD. The sign-up page doesn't have a terms of service link. They claim to offer a "7 day free trial no strings attached," but there are hidden charges ranging from USD $300-2000+. The reviews seem to be bribed. I got scammed out of over 400 CAD, and others have been scammed out of over 2k. This website is a FRAUD and uses shady and deceptive practices. They don't provide any contact details like a phone number, email, or location. People claim they are bribed to leave 5-star reviews after being scammed. One person even called it a scam on LinkedIn and said they were promised a refund if they left a 5-star review.
There are hidden charges when exporting .csv files, and the prices are not clear at all. They hide the charges in fine print and make the pop-up in a way that people won't notice, using it as an excuse to not give refunds. During the trial, when you press the export button, it doesn't clearly state that it will charge you. It only says "upgrade to export." If you press it, you get charged around $300-2400 USD. The terms and conditions are hidden at the bottom of the pricing page, not on the sign-up page. They also automatically switch your subscription without your consent or knowledge. I was on a free trial for the annual subscription, and it tried to charge me 1400. Since my account had less money, it auto-switched and charged me 400 CAD without my permission.
There was a comment exposing them as a scam, but they changed it so comments are now turned off. It's difficult to remove credit card details from payments. It's hard to contact them since there's no email, location, or phone number provided. They only have a live chat, but the response is very slow. They claim, "don't worry, you will not be billed during your 7-day trial" and "7-day risk-free trial." However, when you try to unsubscribe, it asks, "Are you sure you want to cancel your account?" If you press yes, there's another pop-up in small print that says "change to monthly subscription?" in fine print. The "yes" option is highlighted in green, tricking people into subscribing monthly instead of canceling.
This program is supposed to help busy people save time by sending out emails to influencers. Most people who got scammed are probably too busy to report or take action against this scam. I can provide more information if needed.
