Nuvet plus did absolutely nothing for my dogs, the fatty tumors kept growing until one needed surgery. They second one had to be euthanized for a cancerous tumor. When I requested my money back they refused. The guarantee means NOTHING!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Sorry to hear about your loss. My dogs fatty tumors have been shrinking sense about a month after useing the NuVet Product. I swear by the product and so does my dog. Nothing can work every time for every animal... As for the guarantee I used it myself before when my old dog passed away, once I got my new dog I started him on it and it has been helping tons with his tumors...
I have had my dog on NuVet for about 60 days and her tumor looks smaller each day. Now I wonder how long will with take for the turmor to completely go away? it is definitely smaller, I am sorry for your loss but sometimes you will never know about some products even with humans.
My dog had cancer in her stomach and all thru her mid section. The vet told me to take her home and that she would probably die within 3 months. I have a friend that told me to try NuVet Plus, so I did. Not only did the tumors start to shrink within a month, she is still alive, 1 yr later! She has the energy of a puppy and is in perfect health. My vet is amazed and I am thankful. I am sorry NuVet Plus did not work for your dogs.
I've been givimg my dog Nuvet 4 tablets a day for 3 months, so far it seems like Nuvet made his tumors grow faster he had a small tumor at his hind leg witch is now grown about 3times the size and hangs down about 6inches, and he started scrathing to the point it bleeds. I need my dog, he's a service dog for me
can you please help me
Brad
Why were you giving your dog 4 tabs a day? They are only supposed to get 1 a day, regardless of size.
Wow...Wow...bow...wow! Tumors you say. Now that's interesting due to the fact that my dog is only 4yrs and had no tumors until above aforementioned product was given to him. He has never wanted to eat the product and most went into the bin. Although I forced him to eat them telling him it was a vitamin "treat", yes that magic word to the pets we love. "Minipopuppy", haha...funny isn't it. But the darn tumors are not a joke. I'm shocked to read these posts involving tumors as I have never encountered this condition in any animal I have shared life with. Until...those (?) wafers and boom! Like out of nowhere he developed a cyst. I never made the correlation until now. He still refuses to eat them unless I make him out of "yes Daddy I love you, I'll eat this damn thing if you will love me back". No more, no way! I don't know what's up with this product but something is going on and someone knows and is not telling.
This could be an autoimmune, over-cleansing or allergic reaction...? I don't agree with any animal testing, even mice, much less MY dog.
I have never given advice on a blog before so I'm not doing so now. What I am saying is; I'm not going to force anything on my pet. I should have known his instinct to not eat them, those, that biscuit thing was spot on.
Nuvet supplements do NOT cause nor cure cancerous tumors. There are so many carcinogens in our homes, food, cleaning products, that you can't blame it on a supplement. I am very sorry for your dog's illness, but NuVet is not to blame.
I put my yellow lab on Nu Vet a few years ago, she had allergies so bad & nothing helped. She couldn't stop scratching. She also had seizures that were getting worse. (Her food had been changed several times, she was on a premium limited ingredient diet.) After 3 days on Nu Vet, she finally stopped scratching--I was amazed. Three months passed, no seizures & the vet was amazed. (During those three months, I had a kitten that had been through very bad sickness until he no longer had the energy to hold his eyes open very long, or hold his head up. I came home from work expecting to find him dead, the vet didn't expect him to pull through. He got into the free samples that Nu Vet had sent me, ate right through the plastic packaging and ate several dog wafers. He perked up so fast, I know they saved his life.) I was so impressed, I put my other dog on Nu Vet and also the Nu Joint formula because she was having arthritis pain. In less than 2 months, her pain seemed to have vanished. I also had several people I know on Nu Vet, when we all get close to running out---we are frantic to get more. Our pets THRIVE on it & MUST have it! Many top breeder's give it to their dogs & cats. I never saw Nu Vet advertise that their formula would prevent, cure or shrink tumors. It's nutrition that can HELP protect against nutritional deficiency's like a multi-vitamin & pets definitely need it since most pet foods have been heat-processed until there's not much nutrition left in them.
my dog has 4 weeks and 3 days to live. she has been on newvet plus for a week she has more energy and can get on the couch. noticeable change in one tumor I could put half my pinkie finger behind has shrunk. you can see where it used to be based on her fur pattern. my other dog won't touch the wafers, but my dal goes straight to them when I get home. maybe they are not for all dogs, but will keep you posted. first photo you can see how far out the tumor was based upon her fur pattern. second photo is a mammory tumor which the vet did say felt different after 5 days on the product last photo is the end of the mammory tumor which is 18 inches long. sadly her spleen and liver are also involved but I can't see any changes till the next ultrasound.
I bought this because my dog had a tumor and had him on it for two weeks not only did h have more tumors the one grew so big and my dog had to be put to sleep because he couldn't get up and didn't know who I was and I couldn let him suffer I don't know how these pills work and happy for the dogs it worked for it didn't work for mine
Were you giving nuvet plus and nuvet joint? Im curious because i bought the joint first which i had been giving my dog for about a week before he would not/could not get up. Took him to my vet who checked him out in the car. His gums were pale. I thought i was going to have to put him down but instead the vet started him on prednisone. He can walk as he did before now but somehow i wonder if it was the nuvet that caused it because what you described is exactly what happened to my dog.
I have a puggle who has a severe dust mite allergy. He was chewing his belly and rear until it was raw and scratching all the hair off his neck. We were told by the vet that she had done all she could unless we wanted to put him on medication that could cause cancer or one that would cause diabetes. Those were our options. Then, I found NuVet vitamins online. After reading the ingredients, I ordered a bottle and started giving him two a day. The vet siad it probably wouldn't help but it wouldn't hurt to try them. We were pleased at how much NuVet Plus helped our dog. He still has problems with dust mites but not nearly as severe. He is much more comfortable while taking NuVet and doesn't constantly scratch as much.
I have all four labrador retrievers on NuVet Plus. The results are amazing. I also have two of the four on NuVet DS. Between those two vitamins I have seen a 10 yr. old that only wanted to sleep turn into a running, happy girl. I have seen my 7 yr. old who would not run due to an injury that occurred when he ran into a tree when trying to fetch a ball who would only trot at the most and now he is running and jumping in vehicle which we had to help him in the vehicle before. I have an 8 yr. old spayed female and he 3 yr. old neutered male on NuVet Plus. Their energy too is amazing. It has given the dogs the ingredients that not one dog food that I have tried has done. Truly if the dog foods were good then we would probably not have to give them vitamins. The dog foods are GMO tainted and not properly tested! Vets are getting richer by the day! I endorse it and I get no kickbacks from the company. I am just a lab lover that wants the best for my dogs!
I have a 10 mo old Gernan Shepherd who has the worst itching problem I have ever seen, but no hot spots thankfully. I have changed foods, cut out chicken (re-introduced it) no grain, low grain, nothing has helped. He also had the loosest stools, but that is no longer an issue, Yay! I'm not making another food change at this point, but it saddens my heart to hear him cry while he scratches, so I've decided to do some research. Looking into NuVet wafers for allergies, I thought, "Hey, this could be an option", but heck no. Tumors? Really? Why would I risk it? Love this pup too much to see anything adverse happen to him. I will continue the oatmeal baths...until!
I wonder just how many comments are posted from someone what works for NuVet. Believe none of what you hear and 1/2 of what you see, especially if it's found on the internet where anyone can post, well... just about anything! ;)
NuVet marketing efforts are horrible. Need some type of source code to order. Got to get it from the back of a magazine. Also, couldn't engage the auto ship feature. But I had a friend who said his dog's tumors shrunk after using nuvet. SO I just don't know what to think about the product. I emailed them about their stupid marketing mistakes. I'm not going to decide about this product until I read their return email if they send one.
The source code references whoever referred you to them. They are a business, after all, and the person whose "source code" you enter, will receive a small compensation for your purchase. Many breeders will use and recommend NuVet as they can see the difference in the vitality of their pups and the health of the parents. The code is NOT found on any magazine. It is preprinted on brochures and pamphlets describing the supplements.
Every pet supplement company should be required by law to post negative complaints by customers who really bought the products and people should be required to post their real names - I thought it was odd that NuVet only posts positive reviews of their products on their website - that's a red flag that the company is afraid of negative reviews and probably indicates there are many of them! Vitamins don't cure tumors - I wonder if the positive reviews here are from people at NuVet. And why do they charge a 20 percent destruction fee to throw out returned items - does this indicate that this company gets MANY returned items? The purity of the products might be fine maybe but the efficacy of the products may be questionable, judging by the type of negative reviews.
Google: Science Based Medicine - Nuvet: Pet Supplement Snake Oil. There is a lot of great information in there. There is no evidence of this product doing anything this company claims. We all want the best for our pets and this company takes advantage of that and they have the breeders playing along. Any claims of it being a benefit are anecdotal at best.
any company that only has 5 star ratings with a 1 star thrown in on occasion in a couple of sites is a red flag for me.Its just like going on chewy and seeing customer reviews -it means nothing, people are gullible and have no nutritional testing to back the opinion . I have not seen any review from vets or nutritionists. The same amount for a 5 pound dog to 100 pounds is skeptic . I am a breeder who is doggedly approached by this company (and yes I can make money off each sale) they want me to sign up buyers for atto- ship before even getting a pup this is red flag #2. I have also asked about amounts of each ingredient and keep getting it all works synergisticly -this is a none answer. There are no vitamins that cure cancer. And I seem to find the same people on all the sites and wonder if they are paid opinions. When i said no for the 3rd time she asked me to just give it to a sickly dog to see if there is a difference, I don't have nor do I breed sickly dogs as a good breeder. I also commented on the fact that even with my discount it would cost me over 100 dollars a month and she insisted that that is a good reason why I should sell it so I can apply the money I make to get my supplies. yes I could make 10 dollars on a bottle and she makes money off of my sales so how over priced is this product?
NOT IN THE USA!
This company is NOTHING but a big scam. After I ordered a bottle, per puppy spots request, my puppy kept getting sick and the vet couldn't figure out what was going on. We stopped the vitamins and he got better. I called them "immediately" and told them do not charge my credit card and do not send me anymore vitamins . The next month I get a noreply email saying they sent out my shipment of vitamins and charged me! Good thing I kept the phone number! So I called them and she said she needed my cancellation number from my the email I had to of received IF I called, but she knows I never called because she claims NOBODY had been in my file at all. How the heck can she know if anyone has been in my file which is just another one of their scams they use. So I looked through ALL of emails and they never sent one nor said I needed one. This is the biggest scam on the internet right now. Desperately, They are getting rich off of people and bullying people and its disgusting! Taking money that doesnt belong to them. Also, if you look up any negative reviews, they have taken them over as well! Nobody has perfect results on anything sold. They have also taken over ALL of the reviews and comments everywhere on the sites online. Look and you will see. This should be against the law! Charging 56 dollars and scamming 2 ot 3 times for people that do not want them, they clearly are making out really well. They have absolutely NO SHAME in them what so ever. DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM OR THE REVIEWS THAT ARE ALL LIES. THIS COMPANY IS A DIGRACE AND THEIR NOT EVEN FROM THE USA!
Misinformation is their best trait. Their invoice mentions a 20% return charge if you do not notify them to cancel your AutoShip. But nothing about a 20% return charge for destruction is mentioned in their Return Policy. BUT, when you call to get a return authorization number, they tell you they will be charging you the 20% even though it isn't in their return policy noted on their invoice. Read the article on NuVet from the FDA. They were cited for a lack of evidence backing up their claims. And nothing cures allergies. Period! Go to WebMD's vet section and read the comments made by vets who run some of the most prestigious vet schools in the country. The all say that supplements and vitamins that target a specific medical issue can be helpful but if you are feeding a national brand dog food that already has vitamins and minerals, you don't need to add more.
I am just wondering if there is a connection with tumors and cancers and NuVet. I have had 4 dogs and all of them have been on NuVet since we got them as puppies. 1. Yellow lab died from mast cell tumors. Jamie was 9 years old in Dec. 2019. 2. Weimaraner- 13 years old-although old age, he had osteo sarcoma in his face cavity. Died March 2020. 3.Elsa-8 year old Weimaraner- put her to sleep this past weekend with osteo sarcoma on her hip. 4. Rain, my 7 1/2 year old Weimaraner boy - has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Still alive and being treated with chemotherapy and currently in medical remission. I am at a total loss for this to happen in 1 1/2 years.
Please if you have any similar situation let me know. I have changed water (bottle only), food - now prescription similar to diabetic - no carbs, no sugars, high protein, Had water company test water. We can't come up with a reason for this happening.
Are you using flee & tick products
All of those breeds are prone to those cancers and they are older large breeds. Personally I doubt the vitamins had anything to do with that. Just a breed thing unfortunately.
it’s better to check your home and whether it is located in a polluted area
I have been giving NuVet Supplements to my dogs for years and have had only good results. My 14 year old had terrible skin allergies every spring and would need to be put on prednisone. After starting NuVet, her skin allergies are gone. From reading some of the complaints, it sounds like some people are giving their pets way too many! Example, Why give 4 if the recommended amount is 1? Even too much of a good thing is not a good idea.
I use this brand with 8 Corgis and every litter I had. No issues. Most people don't research the breed of dog they have and genetics. To see what the pets are prone to. Can't blame a supplement.
I've used the product as well for my 6 lb min pin. The vet said she was going blind and rapidly. I started her on the nuvet wafer and within 3 days her eye started to clear up needless to say her eyes went back to normal. She quit running into the door and other things. She lived to be 9 yrs old.
Also the breeders doesn't get a 50% kick back for suggesting the product. That is simply ridiculous.
Be aware this product contains 3 different sources that can contain high amounts of BMAA, a neurotoxin. Blue green algae, oysters and shark cartilage. I have emailed the company numerous times to ask about testing and being given the wrong unit measurements for their testing, I'm doubting their information is correct. They also told me, after being a customer for 10 years, they would no longer converse with me about the subject. That tells me all I need to know. My own dogs brain is currently being looked at for BMAA by scientists as this neurotoxin has been connected to ALS in people and that is the same gene mutation as Degenerative myelopathy is in dogs. According to his genetic tests, he should not have developed signs of this disease at all. He also had 5 internal cancerous tumors when he passed, all found on his necropsy, none of which we had any idea of. No flea products, no chemicals used in my house, all holistic treatments, foods, etc. I did not give the product on a regular basis after I started looking at the fact that it contained blue green algae but he had already been on it every day for years at that point. Did that cause his multiple cancers? I don't know. I actually felt it helped him from getting cancer for so long but after his necropsy, I'm not so sure now. Does it have a high amount of BMAA? I don't know since the measurement should be done in grams, not kilograms. And they have 3 different sources in their product that can contain this neurotoxin. I'm going to see if the scientists can test their product I have left for BMAA.
Her response is below, basically telling me to find another company to buy from. I didn't ask for proprietary info, just which blue green algae they used and what toxins they tested for as they all produce different toxins. These toxins are measured in micrograms per gram, not kilogram. I've worked with 2 groups of scientists on this for 3 years.
Now I'm only praying something I gave him every day didn't contribute to this horrible disease.
I Do not fall for any of NUVETS bs..I just add 1 fishoil capsule to the kibble every morning..great for joint health , coat, Skin..never had an issue. Ive had 3 Rottweilers and all 3 lived to the age of 14..and died of HEALTHY old age..👍
