My personal optimum account was cancelled automatically by Optimum on July 8, 2023 because a business account was established. Since the technicians were unable to hook up the line for the business account, we wanted to go back to our personal account, so we called to re-establish it. We called on Sunday, July 9, 2023, Monday, July 10, 2023, and Tuesday, July 11, 2023 to try and reinstate our original account and Optimum was unable to reconnect it. They told us it was not possible. As a result, we switched to Verizon.
Optimum continued to bill my credit card from July 13th 2023 through September 7th 2023 in the amount of $417.18 when we had no service.
Optimum automatically charged my credit card without my authorization. When I called to resolve the issue, Optimum agreed and acknowledged that the service was cancelled on July 8, 2023. They REFUSED to credit my account, even though service was disconnected.
On September 7, 2023, I received another bill in the amount of $245.79 to be due September 22, 2023. Optimum continues to bill me and refuses to shut my account down as well as refuses to give me my credits that are due. They are a fraudulent company and there is absolutely zero service. There is no one there to resolve any issues.
