January, 2025: Without any warning, Optum RX charged my credit care $471 for my Symbicort inhalers (their 3 month supply was previously $147) when their own website showed local pharmacies only charging $147. When I called to complain via their chat box, they said they would send me a return envelope and refund my $471. Since the Symbicort was in transit when I made this complaint, I used their chat to have them send me a return envelope. Even though they refunded my $471 to my credit card, they are still hounding me to pay $471 and refuse to send me a return envelope.
Claimed loss: $471
Desired outcome: I still have the unopened Symbicort inhalers I want to return and need a return envelope. I want them to void the $471 charge. I have since canceled my subscription to Optum for this egregious price gouging for people on a fixed income.
