We bought an ten year old caravan three years ago at one of Park Resorts holiday parks. The van cost us just around £12, 000
Due to change of circumstances, we can no longer afford the high rent, and need to sell. I contacted the park at the beginning of May to inquire about selling the van back to them. But, apparently the person who dealt with this had mysteriously upped and left. They said that some one would call me back...no one did. I rang back a few times after that but was constantly fobbed off, who ever was supposed to be dealing with this seem to be conveniently never available. If we sell privately they make it very hard and charge a high commission rate.
By this time it was nearing the end of the season, when at last I managed to speak to the sales manager. He gave me a long story of how hard it was to sell caravans, especially at the end of the season!
And how people didn`t want to spend more than £500 on a caravan now. I asked how much he would give us for ours which was in excellent condition and with decking. Well... he said as it has decking we may be able to offer about £1, 000 to £1, 500 but I would need to check with my boss and call you back in two weeks! It seems to me that they are deliberately stalling and they know the rent is due in November...What happens if we can`t pay?
We are having The same problem I am trying to contact head office as the staff on the site are extremely rude as well.
I have had the same run around as the main artical at there sit in Brynowen.
Still same. Pass the buck all the time. Fobbing off owners
Sharkdean of Scratby has lied about pitch fees.I bought 2 vans with fees paid until 2018/19..They invoiced me 6 months later in 2017 for both pitch fees to be paid in full..They refused to budge and I was forced to sell a £16, 000 (£26.000) with all the rip off add ons, back to them. They gave me £5000 which they took as pitch fees for my other van.Since April 2018 I and my solicitor have been trying to get Parkdean to to admit their mistake and refund my monies.Chris Forster their solicitor refuses to reply to me or my solicitor.NCC now involved due to lack of response.I have now received a notice to quit by 1st March 2019..Still no reply by Chris Forster or anybody else ! Will have to go to the newspapers and get this rip off outfit reported on.

My husband and I purchased a van on a Park Homes site in 2013. I realise now how naive we were and we have paid the price. We specifically said we were looking to buy as an investment and made it very clear that we would not be living in it or holidaying. We wanted to rent it out as an income. We were shown very positive figures (an account of an owner already on the park).
To shorten a very long story, we have just been backed into a corner and forced to sell. We paid just over £41, 000 and they have bought it back for £5, 000. (I feel I'll just typing those figures.)
We are devastated and feel very strongly that we were ill advised and lied to. It could NEVER be an investment. I want to take it further to try to get some of our money back through a 'no win, no fee' solicitor but not sure where to start. I'd certainly like to go to the papers. The more I read on these websites, the more angry I become. Numerous innocent people being tricked and ripped off. It's so immoral and theyre getting away with it. All thoughts welcome. But please don't tell us we should have been more careful ... we already know that and feel very foolish!
Hi, We are still waiting for the inhouse solicitor to respond.Chris Forster is a total liar and we have sent £2000 so far with our solicitor since last April. They offered us £5 grand for a layout of £26 grand. We couldn't sell privately as site fees although paid in full are not transferable.
PLEASE CONTACT NCC THEY ARE THE OMBUDSMAN FOR CARAVAN SITES AND ARE FREE!
We can only get help from them for lack of communication and response, as we have already engaged a solicitor.
We have contracts that were altered after signing by Luke Brolin and Anthony Betts, who have both mysteriously left the company. Parkdean do not have any copies of the contracts which is against the law.
NCCIDRS@thencc.org.uk is the email address and Jo Chubb is the person dealing with them for us.
