Saved Again by Peaden My 13 year old heat pump finally gave up last week
Saved Again by Peaden My 13 year old heat pump finally gave up last week. Chris from Peaden showed up promptly and carefully showed me all the problem areas and helped me make the decision to get a new unit. K.C. showed various options and helped me select the best one. The install crew worked very diligently and professionally to get the new unit up and running even though it was on the roof of my 7 story condo. All their work was top notch. Everyone was polite and friendly and well trained. This is the second time I have trusted a big job to Peaden and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Extremely overpriced!
Extremely overpriced! $824 to install a fan and utility room light which I was providing! Extremely disappointed being that I have used them for lots of jobs within my property including a whole new A/C system and year ago. I have yet to have a supervisor call me to explain , he wouldn't even answer the tech to give a breakdown. While I was sitting here waiting for an explanation I called Two other companies and the price wasn't even a third of what Peaden was asking. I guess they take a look at the area being Sandestin and figure...MONEY... And some people are just dumb enough to fall for it.
I have not paid nor did I approve the invoice of $89.00 for Oct 1, 2020 for a diagnostic fee as my original contract states I do not pay for those. I was expecting a call from someone on Oct 2, 2020 to discuss my concerns yet no call. Also there are questions I have on the servicing which as to date no one has explained other than that is how they service the system. The current system I have replaced another Peaden (Goodman) unit that was under a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I kept the original warranty I paid for in 2014 as Peaden tried to give me a 1 year parts and labor warranty on the replacement unit. I think some one should give me a call and discuss my numerous concerns that go beyond this.
Customer service was great , technician was on time & professional . Glad I called Peaden Air !
Excellent service; professional and efficient. Robert represents Peaden very well.
is awesome and a true professional. He's kind, puts up with all my critters and being a widow I know how to fix a lot of things but I like that he will share his knowledge with me on my projects to make them a bit easier. Like I said in the past about a person of his caliber that he should be replicated, the same sentiment applies to him. We need more people in the world like him. Especially this year when everything is so undecided and scary. He is a wonderful asset to your company. Hold on to him like you'd hold on to a winning lottery ticket.

Reggie Hill (plumbing) and David Pryor (AC) both professionals were at my house on time and did a professional job. David completed and told me what I might need in the future and most everything was good. He stated the condenser fan was pulling max amperage and might last a few more years and when it goes out I might consider change the condenser at that time since I use R22. All AC units must be changed to a Higher R value by Feb 2022. I hope it last that long. Reggie Hill looked at my water heater because it was leaking So I decided to swap it out. It was due to a leaking vent pipe, rain water getting through the pipe corroding the water heater. Both members of Peaden were exceptional.
He was very kind, professional ,and knowledgeable. I really thank you all for getting back with me so soon.
The entire team was proficient and professional. We will be using them in the future again.
On time and very professional. Dave did a great job installing my new toilet and making the necessary repairs to my existing plumbing line to insure everything worked properly moving forward.
On time and professional technician. He was very thorough in his evaluation. We are waiting for the estimate.
The crew arrived on time and evaluated the work need to be done with me. They were available through out the process to answer questions and explain what needed to be done. They cleaned up after complete their work and took pick of the finished job. I was very impressed with their professional and work ethic. Highly recommend

very professional ,call on his way to my place and called when he was done to give me a description of the problem as he saw it.
Rates are way too high! Charged me $256.66 to unplug my sewer lift station and plug it back in. After hurricane Sally I apparently plunged the system in incorrectly. The plumber was on sight about 20 minutes. I certainly don't feel like Peaden appreciates me as a customer. (This price is after they supposedly waived the Service call charge of $89)
Our technician showed up on time, was efficient in diagnosing the problem, and within an hour our air condition was working again! Could not have asked for any better customer service than that.
Came when they said, friendly and competent, listened to me and my concerns. Gave me options and I may make some changes down the road, but I'm extremely satisfied with my visit from Wade and his partner today.
We love working with Peaden!
We love working with Peaden! Reggie, Lonnie and Paul are always delightful to work with and extremely polite. They always explain what they are doing and answer any questions we may have, I always have a lot of questions. They also all work until the job is complete no matter the level of difficulty or distance they may have to drive to get a part. They've never disappointed me and I never have to clean up any mess after they leave! We trust them completely and value their opinions, which they only give when asked. We've had so much work completed by these gentlemen over the last year that it's hard to pick one job to speak specifically of. They're definitely friendly faces we enjoy seeing when they arrive!
Exceptional service
Exceptional service. Joshua C. and Reggie C. did an amazing job. Both were very polite and knowledgeable. While in the attic, Joshua noticed and took it upon himself to discuss another issue that could be a potential danger if not addressed. Our office was very thankful he noticed and addressed the issue with us. He didn't have to say anything because this had nothing to do with what job we were having done. However, he took the initiative and the time to address it with us knowing that none of us were ever in the attic, therefore, would not have known. We were very happy with the both of them and will continue to use Peaden in the future. The job was completed perfectly and timely. Cannot say enough great things about the two of them and Peaden.
We have used Peaden several times for a variety of home issues ranging from air conditioning, to electrical and plumbing projects
We have used Peaden several times for a variety of home issues ranging from air conditioning, to electrical and plumbing projects. In every case they have been a pleasure to work with and have consistently shown attention to detail far exceeding our expectations. While they have not been the least expensive option in many cases, the quality of the work and timely, personalized service made them worth the extra expense. Our last service involved replacing an antiquated shower valve, which was much more labor intensive than we would have guessed. Chris, our technician for that job, remained solidly focused on our problem and kept us well-informed of each critical step. He answered all our questions throughout the process and addressed all our concerns.
We have a maintenance agreement with Peaden for our a/c and heating pumps for two homes in the Panama City area
We have a maintenance agreement with Peaden for our a/c and heating pumps for two homes in the Panama City area. We always call Peaden anytime we need HVAC services. Image my surprise when we ask Peaden for an estimate to install a wifi thermostat. Peaden wanted to charge us $775 for a thermostat that cost $132 on ***. The technician said it would take 10 minutes to install it. The customer service personnel could have given me the estimate over the phone instead of charging us $89 for 10 minutes of a technician's time. Had we known the estimate was so unbelievably unreasonable, we would have NEVER ask them to come out.
Doesn't customer loyalty mean anything to Peaden...obviously not. After over 10 years of doing business with Peaden, I'm sorry to say that we will be taking our business somewhere else!
The service was good but the only thing I am upset about is the pricing
The service was good but the only thing I am upset about is the pricing. I told the representative what I needed over the phone and asked her what the price is going to be, she said that they don't do pricing over the phone just the $89 to send the technician pay. So when the technician comes over he said I needed about 3 to 4 pounds and I said ok because that was less than I needed last time. And when he said it was going to cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars I was like wow that is way more fun Han what I got charged last time. So I understand the rep on the phone wouldn't be able to come up with that price but the first pound of refrigerant is a fixed price of $204 if I would have known that from the beginning I would have tried to find out who I called last time and have him come again. Now I know a big name comes with big prices
Can you leave a rating less than one?
Can you leave a rating less than one? Filed a complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com. Peaden said they would call me. No return call. Their original work was terrible. Who attaches pipes with clips to the side of the building when replacing an underground line? What's worse, the pipes are exposed inside the house as well. If that were normal practice OK. But they took out the water heater, put in a new one and left holes in the wall, pipes exposed and it took them more than a week. More than that, they will not answer phone calls, emails or complaints to the ComplaintsBoard.com. BUYER BEWARE. This A+ company rates an F in my book. ComplaintsBoard.com not much better. Filed complaint early mid January and just heard Peaden did not answer the complaint during the ComplaintsBoard.com attempts to get an answer. Obviously ComplaintsBoard.com rating due to customer interaction are non-existent. Could it be $$$ driven and the rating is no different than a purchased rating? You be the judge.

The tech assigned to my call advised me he was over an hour and a half away and had found another tech that was less than 30 minutes away and was finishing up a job and could be right over. He was prompt and showed up in a reasonable amount of time. We were advised that there was a $249 charge for showing up after hours plus parts and labor which we agreed to. Another contractor had drilled through a waterline. We had shut the water off and called Peadon for the repair. After the work was completed my wife was given an itemized bill of the parts and labor. A simple cut out of some Sheetrock and insert a patch for the busted line, less than 1' of hose and about 5 crimp joints and 45 minutes of time. My total bill was over $700. When I called to complain the manager gave me some sob story about pulling a man away from supper with his family and two hours of travel time. It was sickening and I hung up on him. I couldn't stomach be preached at as he made up a story that he obviously didn't know the details about. I felt scammed and the contractors I have consulted with afterwards all agree the charges were excessive.

Our family were disaster victims like so many in Bay County from Hurricane Michael 10/10 We finally reached the point that the final two rooms of our disaster damages were repaired: our master bedroom bathroom & closet. For the bathroom we needed to install a new commode and place a new vanity/sink combination and connect hot & cold water lines and the new sink/drain. We contacted Peaden as one of two companies to receive an estimate. A Peaden plumbing specialist came to our home on 7/30... the price quote was absolutely shocking... over $1200 to simply place a new toilet and over $2300 to set and connect the new vanity/sink to existing plumbing... with the possible replacement of existing valves. These estimates were 5 times a competitive plumbing company and absolutely unjustified in materials & labor costs... after inviting the Peaden plumbing specialist to leave our home... I contacted the Panama City Peaden office and requested to speak to the company's General Manager... the receptionist would not allow a call to go through to speak to the GM, but promised the GM would return our call... their GM never returned our family's call... their plumbing manager called instead and attempted to justify his company's exorbitant plumbing estimate... we he could not do... even admitting that $1000 cost to just set the new vanity/sink in place is something that we could discuss & perhaps negotiate. Although promised a copy of this company's plumbing quote via email... we never received any email or any other copy of this company's plumbing quote... then they even charged our credit card $89 to abuse us by quoting verbally, since we have seen nothing in written or in electronic copy, for their usurious plumbing price quote. Would not recommend this company to any disaster victim or family desiring plumbing work... they simply are not trustworthy and their pricing is way out of line and abusive.
I called the Peaden office on Wednesday to make an appointment for a technician to come to my home and fix problems I was having with my A/C
I called the Peaden office on Wednesday to make an appointment for a technician to come to my home and fix problems I was having with my A/C thermostat and adequate cooling throughout the house. The customer service lady (I forgot her name) was excellent. She quickly looked me up in the system to confirm my name and address. She made the appointment for the next day, Thursday and said they would call me 30 to 45 minutes before the tech comes. This customer service lady was very friendly, professional, and competent. The next morning I received a call telling me the tech was on his way. He arrived about 45 minutes later, as I was told he would. The technician was a man by the name of Gary. I explained the issues and he got to work on them right away. The thermostat had apparently been disrupted by electrical surges and had to be reprogrammed. He found that a frog had made contact with two terminals in the condenser which could have caused some problems. The dead frog was removed. The technician went into the attic and checked the ducts and found that some of the insulation on the ducts had been damaged. This damage apparently occurred when the contractors who worked on my home after hurricane Michael were woking in the attic. He repaired the insulation by replacing and re-taping it. He also observed that several areas in the attic showed the insulation put in by the contractor was not properly installed and some areas were not covered at all. He told me about the "Air Scrubber" that would clean the air circulating though the system and I got him to install one in the air handler duct while he was here. Bottom line is that Peaden is one of the few companies I deal with that seems to understand what good customer service is. The customer service person showed a sincere interest in getting my problems resolved and the technician did an excellent job of diagnosing the problems, explaining the problems to me, and doing what needed to be done to fix them. I have been a customer of Peaden for about 19 years and have always received great service.
Zero stars!
Zero stars! The A/C unit was not maintaining temperature so I called Peadon. They could not give me a specific time or 4 hour window as required by law but said they would be here sometime and would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. After waiting all day and having to stay within 30 minutes of the house, they called at 4:30 to say the tech would be here in 10 minutes. The tech said he saw oil inside the unit and suspected a leak. He could not locate the leak and said that either the freon level was too low or the leak is in a location that his detector cannot reach. He decided to recharge the system and then see if he could detect the suspected leak. After hooking up his gauge to charge the system he discovered what he said was high head pressure and did not charge the system. The head pressure was 275 psi but the unit inspection plate shows that 300 psi is the normal operating pressure for this system. He stated that the TXV valve might be stuck and is keeping the freon from flowing. He held the valve sensor in his had to warm it up and stated that the freon is now flowing. He never bothered to recheck for a leak either inside or outside once freon was moving through the valve and changed his mind and decided that the TXV valve was bad and needed to be replaced. He never checked the freon level after the valve opened. He said that to replace the valve, the A-frame would have to be removed. He expressed concern that there might still be a leak and that removing the A-frame to replace the valve might make whatever leak there already was larger or even cause another leak as the copper tubing is fragile. I had asked for an estimate to replace the entire A-frame (which he said would have a new valve already installed) in addition to the cost of replacing the valve alone. I am not interested in replacing a valve only to find out that there is a leak when the system is recharged and then have to pay more to remove the A-frame again for replacement. I also asked for an estimate to evacuate the system and recharge with nitrogen to determine if there is a leak. The tech was also supposed to email me pictures of all of the inspection plates with serial numbers, the pictures of what he said was oil, and he said he would contact Lennox about whether or not the unit was ever registered for its warranty by the previous owner. I have not received any emails with pictures, no estimate to replace the entire A-frame, no estimate to confirm and locate the leak, nor have I received any information about the warranty. Apparently, any conversations with the tech was a waste of time as none of the things that we discussed and he said that he would do have happened. The only estimate I received was for the TXV replacement. I have received more emails and phone calls from Peadon requesting a positive review than I have in getting useful information. A representative from Peadon called me the very next day to ask why I had not left a positive feedback. I told her exactly why and explained that I am waiting for the estimates that I asked for and the pictures that were promised by the tech and a warranty confirmation. She apparently did not care if they kept a customer or not as no follow up call ever came. A few days later, I emailed Peadon's customer service about my dissatisfaction with all this and after a week I have not yet heard back. Their customer service people apparently don't care about customer satisfaction any more than the tech or the lady who called did. After a week and a half, I called another company for a second opinion and they gave me a 2 hour window and showed up in the first 30 minutes of the window. Their tech checked all of the electrical circuitry and actually checked the incoming and outgoing line pressures and temperatures. The determination was that the TXV is working properly and was most likely not opening before because of low freon and an insufficient temperature difference between the incoming and outgoing line temperatures. The tech added 2 pounds of freon and restarted the system. Within minutes, the inside temperature dropped 3 degrees and the humidity dropped 3 per cent. The other company tech also gave me estimates for replacing the valve if I really wanted to, an estimate to evacuate and recharge the system with nitrogen to confirm and locate a possible leak in the event that the freon goes low again and an estimate to replace the entire A-frame if necessary. He also called Lennox while I was standing right next to him and was able to confirm for me the status of the unit's warranty. These are all things that I asked Peadon's tech to do and have yet to hear back about. So, sorry Peadon, your customer service is horrible and you just lost a customer and a potential referral.

I paid for a service call
I paid for a service call. The company cancelled the service call. I requested a refund and was only sent a partial refund. I want the remainder. TY I called and scheduled a service call and paid $109.00 in advance. On the day they were scheduled to come they called and cancelled the service. I requested my $109.00 back and three weeks later received $$99.00 (I have called several times requesting the remainder. ) I only want back what I paid. This is an unfair business practice and I wont deal with this company again.

Consistent failure to explain over servicing of AC unit
Consistent failure to explain over servicing of AC unit. Failure to trouble shoot long standing problem. Billing/contract issues Sent to Peaden 0710 on Oct 16. 2020 by email I have not paid nor did I approve the invoice of $89.00 for Oct 1, 2020 for a diagnostic fee as my original contract states I do not pay for those. The current system I have replaced another Peaden (Goodman) unit that was under a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I kept the original warranty I paid for in 2014 as Peaden tried to give me a 1 year parts and labor warranty on the replacement unit. I gave a copy of the contract info to the tech that was here on Oct. 1. I was expecting a call from someone on Oct 2, 2020 to discuss my concerns yet no call. Also there are questions I have on the servicing which as to date no one has explained other than that is how they service the system. The system I have calls for a sub-cool of 8 +/- 1 and the techs consistently service it to 10. Is there updated data from Goodman that says otherwise? I think some one should give me a call and discuss my numerous concerns that go beyond this. While I am in the Fort Walton Beach service area I do not trust them at this point so I would prefer to talk with some one from the head office. The best time to reach me is Mon - Friday XXXX - XXXX as we are in the process of preparing to move.

They damaged my water heater during a service
They damaged my water heater during a service. I had to have another company fix the heater. Peaden agreed to refund my costs for repair and didn't. A Peaden technician flushed my Nuvien hot water heater model NPE180S SN 7419EXXXXXXXXXX. The charge was $270.16 which was paid on my wife's AMEX card. It immediately began leaking and not heating water. They returned three or four times to try to fix it without success. On the last visit, the tech told me Peaden did not deal in Nuvien products and techs were not trained to work on them. On X-XX- XX, I called Coastal Plumbing who had installed the heater. They diagnosed a broken heating unit and replaced it under warranty with a labor cost of $385.00. The plumbing manager at Peaden, Rob, was called on numerous occasions about refunding my costs. He gave me the run around on the first several calls and then stonewalled me by not taking calls or replying to emails. On 9/14, I talked to Clifford Stapp who replaced Rob. He told me he would talk to the general manager and call me back. He called back that afternoon and told me that Peaden would refund the cost of the service and the $385 that I paid to Coastal. The $270.16 for the service was refunded to my wife's card. I have not received a check for the $385. For several calls and emails, Mr *** said he would look into it and I got no follow up. Now he is not replying to emails.

If I could give them less than one star I would. Tried to get a problem fixed but to no avail. Scheduled on April 16th and was told appointment was may 10th. Received phone call that said no electrician was available and was rescheduled for may13th and again phone call saying no electrician available.it seems like customer service is not a priority to this company will never use again
