Pet Sitter Disappointing Experience with Pet Sitter: Cautionary Tale for Pet Sitters and Boarders

I recently had an experience with Pet Sitter (petsitter.com) that left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I was contacted by a potential client who kept asking me for money to pay her bills and for furniture. This made me uncomfortable and I didn't feel like it was appropriate for her to be asking me for financial assistance.

To make matters worse, when she sent me a check for future employment, it got held for investigation by UPS twice. Each time, she wanted me to deduct money from her amount yet to be received to give her money. This was a red flag for me and I didn't want to be involved in any kind of financial scheme.

On top of all of this, I was disappointed to see that other clients were only offering $15 for all day services. As someone who has been in the pet sitting and boarding business for over 20 years, I remember receiving $125 for my services. It's disheartening to see that the value of this kind of work has decreased so much over time.

I want to make it clear that I am not willing to accept only $15 for overnight boarding services. It's simply not worth my time and effort. If someone is in need of funds, they should go to a check cashing company or their bank. I am not a loan service and I don't appreciate being treated like one.

Overall, my experience with Pet Sitter was disappointing and I would caution others to be wary of potential clients who ask for money or try to negotiate prices that are unreasonably low. It's important to value your time and expertise as a pet sitter or boarder.

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Finder or Money Grabber? My Experience with [Site Name]

This site's not just your typical pet sitter finder, oh no. You're going to have to put in some serious effort if you want to connect with an actual person to help you with your furry friend. First off, you gotta craft up a whole ad just to get started! Then, after you finally finish that beast, you think to yourself, "alright, now I can make contact." But nope, not so fast, partner. Here comes the money part - thirty bucks a month just to get the ball rolling. And if you want to go long-term, get ready to shell out even more.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling mighty skeptical about the whole ordeal. The basic package seems to be just a tease - apparently you can only post an "offer," but it's a mystery if anyone is actually gonna see your ad in the first place. It seems like all this site really wants is your cash, and they're not afraid to string ya along to get it. I'm not fully convinced my offer is even out there in the ether, to be honest. The whole thing smells fishy to me.

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Reviews: Watch Out for Scams and Spam on the Site

I reckon that there's good things and bad things about Pet Sitter (petsitter.com). I personally found one decent client, but it was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. It's pure madness, the last 4 service requests I got were all spam. The site is crawling with it, so be careful! Those spam people won't quit, they're like a mosquito on a hot summer night. You need to make sure that email address matches up to the name, because it could be different and a good way to spot those bad apples.

Now, this is where it gets juicy. If someone tells you that they are blind or deaf and need you to run an errand, watch out. They will drag you along like a fish on a hook and they will never, ever get on the phone with you or meet you. If you have any questions, press them to speak with you or meet you in person. They will offer to pay you well and sometimes send you a cashier check. These scams are everywhere, so be vigilant.

Overall, I think that Pet Sitter has potential, but they really need to beef up their spam filters. Nobody's got time for that nonsense. Just make sure that you triple check any potential clients and always follow your gut instincts. Happy pet sitting!

Pet Sitter Warning: Stay Away from Pet Sitter (petsitter.com) - A Scam and Waste of Money!

Pet Sitter (petsitter.com) is a business that has somehow managed to stay afloat even though I'm not sure how they're even still allowed to operate! BBB hasn't shut them down, but they're based out of Canada so maybe that's why. If this business was in the good ol' US of A, they'd be gone in a blink! Where to start? You pay a monthly fee and what do you get? Nothing. Not a single legitimate email or inquiry for a pet sitting job! Pure spam and scammers trying to trick you into giving away your personal info! I tried reaching out to customer service, but what a waste of time that was! My money was pocketed even though we're all living through a pandemic and every penny counts, especially when you're out of work and desperate for some cash.
Do yourself a favor and don't even think about using Pet Sitter (petsitter.com)! You've been warned!

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Review: Shady Tactics to Sell Services, Better Options Out There!

Pet Sitter's service is not the best. They use shifty tactics that are borderline crooked to sell their services. If you're a pet sitter looking to sign up with them, you should think twice as there are better options out there. Their supposedly free service is riddled with underhanded practices. The bait-and-switch tactic is alive and well with Pet Sitter, as once you sign up, they bombard your inbox with emails showing interest in your service. You may reply once a month for free, but that's just an enticement. If you want to expand, you have to give in and upgrade your account by providing your credit card information. Once you upgrade your membership, they claim you'll be able to reply to all your messages, but that's an obvious LOL. You can't set a price on knowing the situation, but in their case, they do. And it's not cheap, so buyer beware! When you do respond to their messages, you'll see the same thing every time: they're no longer interested. If you pay attention to their ads, you'll see the same ones repeatedly, regardless of the date. I signed up a few years ago, and it became apparent right away. And tip, don't hope for success, as all Pet Sitter may provide is a platform to donate your time and money.

Pet Sitter Petsitter.com Review: A Warning About This Scam Pet Sitting Site

I recently signed up for petsitter.com to try and find some jobs pet sitting. I had read online that they were one of the top pet sitting sites, so I figured I'd give it a shot. To be honest, I didn't really do any research on the site before signing up, I just went with what I thought was the best option.

After paying for my subscription, I went online to start looking for jobs. However, to my disappointment, I didn't see any current jobs. Everything seemed to be at least a week old. I applied for a couple of jobs that were over a week old, hoping that maybe they were still looking for someone.

Unfortunately, nobody ever responded to my applications. This was pretty frustrating, especially since I would see job postings on other sites like indeed.com that were for pet sitters. However, when I would click on the link to the job, I would get an error message because you can't contact the employer directly.

I kept going back to petsitter.com hoping to find some new job postings, but there was just nothing. Eventually, I realized that the site was basically a scam. I'm pretty embarrassed that I got taken, but I guess it's a lesson learned. I should have checked the reviews before signing up.

If you're thinking about signing up for petsitter.com, I would strongly recommend that you take a look at some reviews first. Even though sometimes bad reviews can be misleading, in this case, it seems like everyone is in agreement that this site is a scam. If I could give them a rating of zero, I would. Save yourself the money and look elsewhere if you're hoping to find pet sitting jobs.

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Review: Unreliable, Unprofessional, and a Total Scam

I signed up with Pet Sitter for one month to find someone to look after my four cats while I was away on a trip to Canada. However, I quickly realized it was a scam. There was nothing upfront about it being a recurring subscription and the people who replied to my request were not safe or reliable. The company does no verification of the people they have on their site so you never know who you're dealing with.

I thought I had found a possible candidate when I interviewed one lady, but she called and canceled the interview saying she had hurt her back helping a friend with a garage sale. Another lady showed up at my home with her young children, ages 4 and 6. She didn't seem to know how to handle my one-year-old German Sheppard/Husky mix, who weighs about 70 lbs. She was only there for half an hour and didn't manage to trim my dog's nails, failed to brush him out and wanted to use my bathtub to give him a bath. She also claimed to have her own business, but didn't have an actual location.

To make matters worse, this lady actually took my dog outside on the front lawn and laid on top of him to try and trim his nails. It was ridiculous and unprofessional. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I would not recommend using this service at all. Some people manage to get refunds; however, I have yet to see my money back. They deliberately make it hard to contact them by not providing a phone number, and they charged me for a second month after I cancelled my subscription. I paid $30 for what I thought would be a one-time fee, but they charged me again anyway. They are nothing but a scam.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Pet Sitter and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter.

Pet Sitter PetSitter.com Review: Beware of Scam Website Charging for Fake Job Offers

So I found this petsitter.com website when I was searching for pet sitting jobs on Indeed.com. At first, I was really interested and created my profile on their site, but then I saw that they wanted me to pay just to see who was interested in hiring me. I wasn't too thrilled about that, so I decided to wait and see what would happen.

A few hours later, I checked my email and saw that I had multiple messages from petsitter.com. They were telling me that lots of people were interested in my profile and wanted to hire me for pet sitting jobs. I was really excited and went to check out what offers I had.

Unfortunately, when I clicked on the emails, I was taken to the paid subscription page. In order to see who wanted to hire me, I had to pay for a monthly subscription. So, I decided to give it a shot and paid for the subscription.

And then...nothing happened. There were no job offers and no legitimate pet owners looking to hire anyone. I was really disappointed, and I realized that this site was a total scam. There are tons of people on the site looking for jobs just like I was, but there are no actual jobs to be found.

I was so angry that I canceled my subscription less than 20 minutes after signing up. I immediately looked into getting a refund, but it turns out that they don't offer any refunds at all. I felt so cheated and taken advantage of.

So I'm warning you, don't fall for this scam. This site is a total rip off, and they won't refund your money no matter what. I'm definitely reporting them to my bank, and I'm going to let other people know about this scam on Indeed.com and other job boards. Don't waste your time and money on petsitter.com.

Pet Sitter PetSitter.com Review: My Experience with Scammers and Disappointing Customer Service

So last week, I registered on PetSitter.com. Just trying my best to find some extra cash by taking care of people's pets. I stay in Brooklyn, NY, and I know it's not easy to find pet sitting jobs here. I paid $59 for a three-month membership. Now, I know the mistake I made.

Without wasting much time, I responded to a man who needed help with his bird parrot named Birdy. He was the first person I contacted on the site. I thought it was a great idea, and it would kick start my pet sitting business. I mean, who doesn't like birds, right? After messaging back and forth, we decided to talk on the phone. But I wanted to be cautious, so I called him from TeleSafe, which is available on their website.

The phone rang, and a man picked up; he said hello and called out to "Sarah." A lady picked up the phone and started talking to me about the most ridiculous things. She was making a ton of noise, talking over me, and I couldn't even get a word in edgewise. I also tried calling the number again to confirm if it was right. Still, I only got a man with an uncontrollable cough.

This guy finally got back to me with a message saying he was sorry, and he would make it up to me. I forgave him and went back and forth with him. Unfortunately, things got worse and I finally concluded that he was a scammer. He kept asking me to provide money and other personal details. I wasn't ready to give in and got suspicious.

I reported this issue to petsitter.com's email, and they responded stating that this guy was a fraud, and they don't give refunds. Honestly, I was disappointed they refused to refund me the $59. That's a lot of money for someone on a budget. Anyway, the only option left was to stay on the site until it expires.

Has anyone else gone through this bull crap on petsitter.com? It's damn frustrating to go through all this trouble in the name of pet sitting. Plus, their customer service isn't reliable, and they are based in Canada. Honestly, they should look for a way to authenticate the identities of these people. I mean, it's ridiculous to put people like me through such stress. If you have gone through the same nonsense, feel free to reach out to me. I'm Michelle G.

Pet Sitter Cautionary Tale: Unreliable Pet Sitter Disappoints, Causing Problems & Stress for Owners!

We gotta say, we used Pet Sitter for our pets when we were moving to a new place, hoping to find a new caretaker for our furry friends. We got bombarded with messages from potential candidates, went through phone interviews with quite a lot of them, until we finally settled on one person to meet in person, together with our pets, to see if there was a good vibe.

After meeting up, everything was hunky-dory, so we scheduled the needed services and the person who was gonna take care of our pets seemed all spick and span. However, after 2 days in, we get a text that they've been in a car accident but said they would still attend to our pets, albeit at later times than we initially spoke about. We felt sorry for them and agreed to rearrange things so that it would work for the person.

As it turned out, the person wouldn't come to our pets as often as they should, and there were hours-long delays in between visits. We didn't mind at first, understanding that they might be going through some tough stuff, and therefore might need therapy and such. But here's where things went south - when we were about to leave town again, we asked if the person wanted us to find another caretaker, but they said they were feeling better and wanted to stick with it. They even asked if they could use one of our cars since they didn't have one.

Yet again though, two days later, they texted us that they had been in ANOTHER car accident. We were at a complete loss as to what to do, because our pets needed someone to take care of them, but this person wasn't meeting our expectations, not by a longshot. They barely made it over to look after our pets, and when they did, they came over only once a day and besides, around the time they were supposed to have checked in, it was always late.

We eventually got back home, with a plethora of poop everywhere. The animals were sick and it was a nightmare. When we contacted the caretaker to let them know that this was unacceptable, they got all nasty and mean with us, as if it was our fault for bringing it up. Our experience with Pet Sitter and the caretaker we hired with their help was unsatisfactory, to say the least. Beware, fellow pet owners, as it may seem like smooth sailing at first, but in the end, it often turns out to be a hot mess.

Pet Sitter Avoid Pet Sitter: My Experience with this Pay-to-Play Website

I recently came across a dog-sitting job on Pet Sitter (petsitter.com) that was located close to my home, and I thought this could be a great opportunity to earn some extra cash. However, my experience with this website was not at all pleasant. First and foremost, I was required to shell out $29 per month or $109 per year to respond to the job listing, a fee that seemed ridiculously high to me.

Despite the extortionate fee, I decided to fill out my profile on the website and input my contact details. But to my surprise, I was not able to respond to the job listing or any other listing for that matter because I had not yet upgraded my account. This was a huge letdown for me as I had spent time creating a profile for this purpose. Additionally, I was constantly bombarded with emails notifying me of job listings in my area, yet I was unable to access them because I had not paid the exorbitant fee.

I also noticed that while I was receiving numerous emails from the website, my Pet Sitter page only had one visit. This was confusing as I was led to believe that many people were trying to get in touch with me. This made me question the legitimacy of this website even further.

I would advise anyone to steer clear of Pet Sitter and their sister sites like sitter.com, eldercare.com, and housekeeper.com. These sites are nothing more than a scam to extract money from innocent people who are just trying to make some extra cash. Instead, I recommend using word-of-mouth or distributing flyers in your local area to find pet-sitting jobs.

Furthermore, safety concerns should not be overlooked when using these types of websites. I received a response from a potential client who asked for my personal information, including my social security number, before even meeting with me. This was a red flag for me, and I quickly realized that using paid websites like Pet Sitter does not guarantee safety or security.

In conclusion, I had an unpleasant experience with Pet Sitter, and I advise others to avoid these pay-to-play websites. There are other ways to find pet-sitting jobs that do not require a steep investment, and it is important to prioritize safety and security when dealing with unknown clients.

Pet Sitter Terrible experience with petsitter.com - Beware of Scams and Poor Customer Service

This website is a complete rip off, and I paid for premium services that ended up being a total waste of time and money. I requested a pet sitter for my dog for a weekend trip, and they sent me someone who didn't even show up. I called and emailed the company multiple times to get a refund and never heard back from them. They have terrible customer service and clearly don't care about their clients or their pets.

The website itself is also a mess, with broken links and confusing navigation. It's frustrating trying to use it, and I wasted so much time just trying to figure out how to post a job listing.

I would not recommend this website to anyone. Save your money and use a different service, or just find a local pet sitter through a more reputable source. Don't waste your time with petsitter.com.

Pet Sitter Review: Lack of Response from Pet Sitter's Potential Caregivers

So, I decided to give Pet Sitter a try. I was charged $30 per month for access to their list of potential pet caregivers. I received a list of people who were interested in caring for my furry friend. I contacted each of them by sending an email and trying to phone through the Pet Sitter site. However, I have not yet received any response from any of the pet sitters. I am really puzzled about these applicants. It's confusing to me what kinds of people these folks are and how I should go about choosing from among them. It's difficult to make a decision like this without knowing anything about who these pet sitters are. I hope to hear back from Pet Sitter's team soon because I really want to make sure my pets are taken care of well while I'm away. Pet Sitter, please hurry up and get back to me with the information I need!

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Website Review: Don't Waste Your Money - Old Leads and Fake Scams!

This Pet Sitter website ain't worth it! I joined up to get leads for pet sitting jobs but all I got were OLD ones that nobody responded to. It's like nobody even checks this site anymore. Pet Sitter PetSitter.com Review: Hidden Costs and Sketchy Profiles Raise Red Flags

So, I got an offer for a pet sitting job through this website, petsitter.com, and was really excited to respond because I'm a big animal lover. But lo and behold, when I tried to reply to the message, I was hit with this ridiculous requirement to buy an unlimited messaging plan. Like, what? I just want to respond to the job offer, not spend a ton of money on a messaging plan.

To make matters worse, I noticed that the profile of the person who messaged me didn't have a clickable link to their actual profile. That's super sketchy if you ask me. It's like they're intentionally making it hard for you to find out more about the person who contacted you. My gut tells me that this is all just a ploy to get people to shell out money for things they don't really need.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience using petsitter.com. It's clear that the website is more interested in making a quick buck than actually helping people find quality pet sitting jobs or services. If I were you, I'd steer clear of this place and look for other options that won't try to pull the wool over your eyes.

Pet Sitter Successful Refund from CareGuide after Raising Concerns and Demanding a Full Refund

They say no refunds on their website, but that's just not right. I can tell you from personal experience that I got my money back in full within just two days of filing my complaint. I had sent an email to ***@careguide.com and really made it clear that I wanted a full refund. I had suspected that all the emails and job offers being sent to my inbox were fake, so I made sure to really voice my concerns. I even went as far as to say that this service was a total SCAM and that I shouldn't have to deal with something so illegitimate.

Now, don't get me wrong, the process wasn't exactly easy. There was definitely some back and forth between me and them about the refund. They didn't just want to hand over my money without a little bit of a fight. However, as long as you stand your ground and demand what you deserve, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get your refund just like I did. And in the end, it was totally worth it. I'm so glad that I got my money back.

Pet Sitter Disappointing Experience with PetSitter.com: Communication and Authenticity Issues

I decided to give Pet Sitter (petsitter.com) a try, ya know, 'cause I'm always lookin' for someone to watch my lil furball when I'm outta town. I signed up and started sendin' messages to folks, 'cause I wanna make sure my pet will be in good hands.

I even had a convo with one guy and it seemed alright, we were gonna set up a meet n' greet with the animals. But then, he ghosted me! And I still see his ad on the site, what gives? Ain't nobody got time for flakers.

So I forked over $70 to get my criminal record checked real quick-like, 'cause I'm all about bein' safe and all. But then, nobody would answer me back or respond to my messages. Rude! I did some more research and noticed that a lot of the profiles had weird English and seemed to say the same thing over and over again. Kinda sketchy if ya ask me.

Overall, not impressed with the communication or authenticity of folks on petsitter.com. Gonna have to keep lookin' for someone to give my lil buddy some love while I'm gone.

Pet Sitter Negative Experience with Pet Sitter on petsitter.com: Beware of Spam and Fraud!

I recently tried signing up for Pet Sitter on petsitter.com. I entered all the required information as requested and was encouraged to provide more information in order to increase my chances of getting hired. Unfortunately, the very first reply I received ended up being spam. After investigating the applicant, I decided to delete my profile and account immediately.

This was my first time using a pet sitting service and I did my homework as a responsible pet owner should. I learned a valuable lesson and I now wonder what I should do next? Should I risk a potential home invasion for my beloved pets? Moreover, I provided an override for my bank account as the transaction came up as fraudulent.

Overall, my experience with Pet Sitter on petsitter.com was not positive, but perhaps it was just a fluke. I will proceed with caution in the future.

Pet Sitter Pet Sitter Review: A Waste of Time and Money with Terrible Customer Service

So, I gave Pet Sitter a shot coz I need someone to take care of my fur babies while I'm away. I coughed up 30 bucks just to be able to message sitters in my area. Bam! Not a single reply, nada. I reached out to their customer service for help, asking for my money back, and all I got was a snooty response saying I have to wait for 2 weeks. Excuse me? Like I don't know how their site works? I ain't asking them to hold my hand and find me a sitter. I'm just pissed coz I shelled out hard-earned cash for nothing! This site is a waste of time and money. And don't get me started on their customer service. It's the worst. I'm not backing down till I get my refund. Don't waste your money, peeps. Stay away from this site.
