Hi… I am not in the habit of complaining & will say I am very grateful for the care from the vets.
However the receptionist is a diff matter.
First occasion before my dog was admitted to emergency & then to pet 4 home.
I almost got refused to be seen as after I gave my dogs name, my address my partners name & the fact my pet is registered at the store. I was told I’m sorry but you are clearly not Miss Gemple so I can’t help you in a very condescending manner. I let this slide & asked if he could put my name on. Which suddenly was no problem. Any way bought some pro biotics & left.
After all the treatment & expense & administering the new tube of probiotic medication I paid for on discharge at pets4homes of my dog. Once nearly empty I realised when we took our pet in to be seen. Along with the bag from vets now with the fluid drip we also had a the original large tube of probiotics in it & handed to the vet.
So as nearly empty I visited the vets at pets 4 home to see what happened to it. Is there any chance we could get it back. Thinking probably a slim chance & was prepared to pay for another.
On arrival I explained this to the receptionist called Dave. His immediate response was to roll his eyes, sigh & say “how am I suppose to know that”. I replied “ I don’t expect you to know that obviously, but is there anyway you could check. After all from your response I am not lying why would “. Argumentative he stated I’m not saying you are lying to which I replied why would you roll your eyes …before I could finish my sentence he cut me off & said let me check the computer. Looked at the screen for two seconds & said nothing here about medication. What exactly was in this bag? Really condescendingly. I then said, not with a raised voice or aggression you need to change your attitude mate. He said I’m not your mate.. pointed to the door & told me to leave the store. I told him I’m not going anywhere could you please enquire with the vet.
He came out & told me it was a diff medication so it’s not the same anyway. Which was utter rubbish. To his own admission when I told him that he sold me the pro biotics a few days before so how could it be.
I told him I was going to report the matter asked for his name he said David. I asked for his surname he said David is all you need to know. I asked if he was the only David in the store to which he said I am actually good day sir.
I am in the service sector myself.. He hides behind ps & qs but is clearly unhappy in his work & a very poor reflection& representation of all the other helpful & polite staff in store & the vets.
When he stormed off into the back room after telling me to leave the store a waiting lady customer. Said to me just leave it it’s not worth it. So clearly this bad attitude was not just my opinion.
