This company claims to be all about helping soldiers. Not. I was being medically discharged from the army after 19 years service and trying to get my financial affairs in order. After six attempts to contact Pioneer Lending by both phone and email, someone called me and told me that a loan specialist would call and could help me make alternate payment arrangements. The next day, a rude, ignorant female bill collector called from Pioneer and threatened to destroy my credit if I couldn't pay as agreed ($240 a month for six years on a $4000 loan). They didn't care that I was disabled and that my only income would be a small disability pension. This awful company continues to lure soldiers into taking out loans that have exorbitant interest rates and then refusing to help them when they run into problems. They should be barred from making loans to military personnel.

Soldiers should use AER if they are having money problems. Stay away from these so called Military friendly loan companies, they are not here to help Soldiers they are here to put money into their own pockets...
Pioneer discriminates service members and also their employees. If you are to work at Pioneer as a temporary employee, do yourself a favor DON'T! AT THE END YOU WILL REGRET IT! Favoritism and unprofessional employees especially managers. Yes they bribe you with a higher pay! Don't be fool by that... Trust me...Pioneer management don't give a damn about you...they just want you to do what you were hired for, when done, they will let you go...
All you folks defending Pioneer Loans, have you ever wondered why they never give you a monthly statement on your payments, balances, interest and principal payments? It's because that would be proof that you are being ripped off. Saying "yes" to soldiers isn't always a good thing, especially when you are just going to rob them blind.
Mike, I hate to be the one to tell you, but Pioneer and Omni are one and the same. I called a number for Pioneer loans and got and Omni representative. That is who I have my loan through. With not only the criminally high interest rate, but also a monthly accrued interest you pay, just for having the loan. Predatory isn't harsh enough to describe these people.
I worked as a temp in the Accounts Receivable department at Pioneer for 6 months. They are basically a terrible company, but the people that take out the loans aren't exactly shining examples of intelligence. They wrote loans for everything... 5, 000 dollar beds, autos, car stereos, rims, etc. I hate to tell you but if you're taking out a high interest loan for some rims or a car stereo you are an ##### and you're going to have a hard life because you clearly can't manage money worth a ####.
They are licensed out of Las Vegas, NV. Hmmm...I bet that state allows some of the highest interest rates in the entire country. It's probably just a coincidence.
Also, they pretty much only hire ex military to do the collections. It makes sense to be able to identify with the customer you're trying to screw. How anyone ever seriously considered signing one of these loans is beyond me.
My loans were paid off 6 years ago then out of nowhere they pop up saying I had a balance and been accruing daily interest. They have been harassing me and reporting to my credit every 5 days when I don’t even have access to my account anymore. I’ve called, emailed and everything and still no results but the constant reporting to my credit and adding interest. They are pure thieves and need to be stopped!
