I have a pit boss grill that I really love. I bragg about it all the time to all my friends and firefighters. (I have been a Firefighter/ FireOfficer for 37 years.) I smoke/ cook on it all time.
So here is what happened. About the first of March this year. The inside of grill rusted out. So I called pit boss they said I had to take pictures of and upload to them so they could make a judgment call about the parts. After I figured out how to do that - I sent them in. I called back he said the parts needed to be replaced. He said they are out of stock and they will be in in about two weeks. No big deal right. That was the first part of March. So now it is June 17 — 101 days later still no parts. I call about once a week. They pretty much give me the run around. I have been told by your staff things like maybe they are on the slow boat from China, maybe it is the boat that hit that bridge, some say they don't know, some even checked with the warehouse and said they have been shipped. But they were not! I called today again. He said they were not shipped. I am very mad at this point. So he said he send a tag to the warehouse requesting they send them. Are they going to be send them who knows? This not a very good way of doing business. I would ratter be told the truth, then to be lied to. So I have missed three months of grilling and/or smoking all ready. At this point I may of well throw my pit boss away.
You, meaning Pit Boss are only as good as your word. Right now that is not good.
You have A very good grill but if you need parts you are in trouble.

James, what you're experiencing with Pit Boss Grills is absolutely unacceptable. You've been a loyal customer and an advocate for their product, sharing your enthusiasm with friends and fellow firefighters. To be treated like this after the inside of your grill rusted out is disgraceful.
You’ve shown incredible patience, waiting over three months for parts that were promised in two weeks. The runaround you've received, with ridiculous excuses and empty promises, is no way to treat a customer. Pit Boss needs to understand that their reputation is built on trust and reliability, both of which they've completely failed to uphold in your case.
Keep pushing for what you deserve. Make sure your story is heard loud and clear. You deserve honesty and swift action, not this constant delay and deceit. Pit Boss needs to make this right, and they need to do it now. Stay strong, James, and don't let them off the hook until they deliver the parts and the service you were promised.
