Plastiq, Inc. is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with! They never sent my money and had the audacity to lie, claiming that I entered the wrong address on the check. I mean, seriously? Talk about a scam! And to top it all off, there's no phone number to contact them. It's just unbelievable that they're still allowed to operate. It should definitely be illegal for them to continue doing business.

Plastiq, Inc. is a company that asks way too many personal questions. It made me feel uneasy about potential fraud when they requested a picture of my ID and a bank statement with the purchase. I'm new to Plastiq and someone told me to use it for a $5000 payment with a $1500 discount. I checked with Rose, the only Plastiq rep, and she said the referral was added. We chatted on Jan 18, 2021, at 07:43 PM. But today, when I contacted her again after making over $5000 in payments, she said I don't qualify anymore because Plastiq upgraded their payment system. She just left the chat after I complained and asked to speak to her supervisor. The customer service is really bad! I never thought an online business I trusted would act like a scam and have such lousy customer service. Me and my referral won't use it again!

Complete Incompetence! I've been a Plastiq customer for a long time. I reached out to get check copies for mortgage underwriting, but Plastiq doesn't let you get any proof of payment online in PDF or downloads. You can only take screenshots, which mortgage underwriters don't accept. They want to charge me $2.50 per image, even though I've already paid them over $1,000 in FEES in the last 20 months. Stavros, the person I chatted with, was a complete jerk and has no empathy whatsoever. He said he'd get me my documents in 1 to 2 business days, even though his colleague, ***, who was very nice the day before, said they could be sent instantly. Stavros is uncaring, unaccommodating, and rude. SAY NO TO PLASTIQ!

When I asked Plastiq about it, they told me that I had to make the payments with a credit card, not a debit or bank account. Like, seriously? They never mentioned that anywhere! Plastiq blamed their affiliate for not telling me, but come on, it's their responsibility to make sure their affiliates get it right. They could have at least put the promo terms on the sign-up page, but nope, they didn't bother. And even on their Referral program page, you gotta dig deep into the fine print to find the credit card requirement. So, it looks like this company isn't very honest about their promos. Be careful, folks.

When I returned, I found an email from Plastiq dated the day after I set up my payment saying that I needed to take a screenshot of the Plastiq credit card charge and reply ASAP in order for them to process the payment. What? So the payment had been held up the 6 days I was out of cell phone range? There was notice of the possibility of this anywhere in the payment set-up process, otherwise I could have had someone monitor my email account. As it was, I did not receive the email until I returned 6 days later. When I tried to complain about this, all they said was, "We emailed you." I tried to get them to expedite the payment, they declined. I tried to get them to refund part of my fee, they declined. I tried to get them to give me some of their Fee-Free-Dollars (credit towards future service fees), they decline. The whole thing felt frustrating and anxiety provoking since I'm looking at a potential late fee on my mortgage payment for their slowed down process.

Don't use Plastiq, Inc.! I needed to transfer $3,500 from my account to my title agency, but when I started the transaction, the money was taken out of my account right away and never delivered as promised. They sent me an email asking for an extra document, but it never appeared in their web application where the transaction was supposed to be. I was dumb enough to trust their web app and believe that everything was taken care of. Even after I gave them wire instructions, they still didn't deliver my money. I would never use this service and I strongly advise everyone to stay away from it. They're not what they seem and they can't keep their promises. Their services are garbage! This was really important for me because it messed up my new home purchase completely. Their customer service is terrible. They never called me like I asked. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that nobody ever uses this company!

I have emailed them several times at different email addresses and do not get a response. We recently signed up with Plastiq to send ACH payments to some of our vendors. In total it was about 40 payments. We thought the payments went through because their system indicated that the transactions were completed. We were notified by our vendors that the payments were not received. We attempted to reach out to Plastiq support (only online support, no phone or online chat) and they have been giving us the runaround. They fixed most of the payment issues but are still holding about $1700 of our fund and have not given us a reason why. Every time we attempt to get an update they just message us back saying "This issue has been escalated and we will update you with new information as soon as it becomes available." This issue has been ongoing since 11/15. The transactions that we are still waiting on to be returned are 528ST2I for $800 and WMC3WMJ for $900. I just want our money back and to never deal with this company again

The Statement clearly shows TWO charges, one right after the other, for $3,655.28.On July 20th I started an online Chat session with a rep at Plastiq. They do not offer ANY telephone support. In the Chat, the agent apologized a number of times for the error on their part and assured me it would be looked into and rectified. I requested that someone from Plastiq get back to me by email (the only method of contact offered) within 3 business days. They did not. On July 23rd I spoke with a different agent who restated that the matter was still in the hands of the Finance Team"; they would reach out as soon as we know more. He abruptly ended the Chat session after wishing me good rest of the day.It's now a week later. No contact. No refund.

I used Plastiq's service on Sept 4 to issue payment to a utility provider. I paid an extra $35 to expedite the check and the promised arrival date was September 8. The payment did not arrive as promised. It shows delivered via Fed Ex on the 10th but the utility provider says they never received this payment. Fed Ex delivered the payment somewhere but not to the intended recipient. The total amount of this transaction is $230.68. I first requested a refund on Sept 13th when the utility provider confirmed that they never received the item. I requested that they place a cancellation/void of the check since it wasn't received or deposited and asked for a full refund. There is no way to contact this company by phone so I repeatedly requested refund confirmation daily. They never sent it for the full amount. I never received a refund for the remaining $194 and there is no satisfactory resolution. They did refund the $35 fee but not the entire amount. I'd just like my money back.

The service I paid for Plastiq is for one check of the same amount (i.e., $3,338) sent to IRS on behalf of Z Dong and N Zou for their 2020 family joint tax. In this transaction, I clearly provided the tax payers full names and social security numbers, which Plastiq is supposed to include in the check as a check memo. However, we received an overdue noticed from IRS early July and apparently, Plastiq took the money and did not send the check as the way they were supposed to do. Then that is when the nightmare began. We have spent hours and hours communicating with both Plastiq and IRS. Plastiq provided a DLN number claiming that IRS could locate the payment, and Plastiq also promised that they will help reach out to IRS, which actually never happened. We had to spend tons of time communicating with IRS. However, after the investigation, IRS confirmed they did not receive the payment, and we had to pay everything again twice.

Even if I explained this to Plastiq's customer support, and offered to provide evidence of two separate cards, they said they have determined that I am creating multiple accounts. I also asked if I can refer my husband to open another new account with a new credit card. But they said that this is not allowed because my husband already has an account. So the account my husband already created is considered both mine and my husband's account from their words, which does not make sense at all.My husband and I decided to make the $2500 payment with $71.25 fee only because we expected the referral bonus to cover up the fee. Please take a picture of your government issued ID and a selfie of you holding your ID and attach it to your reply I obliged provided the appropriate documents and stated that I couldnt confirm that I was happy with the purchase because I was waiting on Plastiq to send the wire to RETRACTED in order to schedule a time to pick up the merchandise. Within minutes he had responded with Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately, we are unable to support payments for goods and services in advance. Now, my small working capital is tied up for 3-5 business days, well past the deadline to pay the invoice and Im unable to pay the vendor, loosing out on thousands of dollars in revenue and potentially facing penalties for non-payment. Its absolutely ridiculous that this company is still in business, theyve received tons of other similar complains on ComplaintsBoard.com and *** reviews. I used Plastiq, Inc. to pay my 2021 property taxes for my property *** in September . This amounted to a total of $6262 for Plastiq to mail checks to the DeKalb County Tax Commissioner. This included a fee of $108 charged by Plastiq for payment processing, and $6154 for the property tax charged by the County.However, what I didn't know at the time was that I overpaid, and the lender of my mortgage already paid $3077, i.e. half of the property tax. On 11/9 the tax commissioner refunded my overpayment ($3077) and sent the check to the Plastiq office in ***, . What has been astonishing is that Plastiq has been withholding the overpayment this whole time, which should have been disbursed to me when they received it. I have exhausted every means to meet their various unrealistic "requirements" so I could get my hard earned money back. After a lengthy, and numerous email exchange with Plastiq, they finally promised to "escalate" and provide a response ASAP on 03/01/2022. Yet they have not done so, to date. And that is after I followed up again, via email on March 7. I have tried their number listed on ComplaintsBoard.com and I could not even get connected. Extremely disappointed to receive virtually no customer service, while *** clains claims to transform the industry and make payment processing convenient for businesses and individuals alike. I still cannot believe Plastiq has kept a large sum of my own, hard earned money for more than 4 months and counting. And what I find grotesque is they have withheld the info until I called the Tax Commissioner and found out. I ask that you please work with Plastiq to right the wrong and refund the money that is owed. I hereby request Plastiq to refund the money I overpaid ($3077), as well the processing fee ($53.84), totaling $3130.84.
