Scam
A buyer ([protected]@gmail.com) was trying to buy a pair of Hoka shoes that I had listed for sale. She advised me that I needed to ACTIVATE my account at Poshmark (even though I have bought and sold items for years. Then I get an email from Support at Poshmark telling me to go to CVS or Walgreens and buy an Apple Prepaid Card for $500.00.
Then he/she said to send a copy of the front and back of card and the receipt to them & it would go back into my bank account. I bought it but did not send info. CVS can’t refund me. HELP!
Desired outcome: Send me a valid email address and I can forward the complete emails to you. [protected]@charter.net
Customer service
Poshmark has basically no customer service. I have written in multiple times with the same question, but always receive the same "copy and paste" answer that doesn't address my problem. It feels unprofessional and dismissive that no one takes the time to actually read my email and respond to my question.
The issue is in regards to the fact that Poshmark asks for sensitive documentation to be scanned into their phone app (passport/driver's licence), in order to change the email associated with your account (should you no longer have access to your previous email). In my opinion this is outlandish considering their privacy policy allows them to share all of your information with third parties!
There are so many other ways to verify identity without scanning in official documents, e.g. even official government sites utilize personal verification questions.
The staff have been unresponsive to my concerns and any time I submit this issue with a request for someone to help, their agents just send me a copy of the instructions on how to scan in my documents! So incredibly rude. I am super disappointed as I have really enjoyed using the app. I can't even delete my account though, as that requires scanning in my passport or ID as authorization. Ridiculous.
Negative 10 stars.
Desired outcome: I would like Poshmark to actually address this issue and consider changing the method for ID verification. There are many different ways to do it that would make me, as the consumer of their product, more comfortable.
Representative
I would like to know someone name from poshmark representative name Karl Pace works at the poshmark? This person contacted me through my text and send his Emp. ID 13/14/0156 asking me to provide my ID information and my ss#. Asking me to send money to Zelle account within in 30 minutes or sending me an ecard for american express. Can you let me know if this is how poshmark provides customer service?
Desired outcome: I would like to poshmark to provide with the right information about this person.
That sounds super shady. I would definitely not send sensitive information via text. No official customer service would put a time limit like that on your payment, it's a scammer trying to put pressure on you. I have encountered quite a few scam accounts on Poshmark that try to get me to send payment over email and not the official site. I just ignore them.
Plus in my experience, Poshmark doesn't really provide customer service, so it likely isn't them. But that is just my personal frustrations talking.
I just had this happen to me as well, so let's make sure these scammers cut the crap. The first post was the only one I dealt with; I bet the other one is too because of the phone numbers.
omg I am glad I found this I also had Karl Pace text me as a rep for Poshmark, asking for AX card or Zelle them $200 at this email and name endolife@yahoo.com Edsel Konadu and then he said to sceenshot him the transaction
this person even sent an ID of Karle Pace as a Poshmark rep I never sent him the money I emailed Poshmark support then I googled if poshmark has text message support and google showed that poshmark support only emails and it takes 2-3 business days so I think its a scam please be advised!
Return
I posted a purse that I wasn’t completely sure was authentic and was very clear in the listing and shared I was open to offers because of this. I asked for questions to be asked prior to purchasing. A seller bought outright and then opened a case once received. She then seemed to feel bad/ wanted to keep the bag and then stopped responding to the case however but apologized for the hassle. Poshmark still granted the request in her favor, as they do not approve of non authenticated merchandise being sold although it’s all over the site. And there weren’t enough pictures to prove it was authentic or not and I no longer have it to post my own. Seller has not sent back and Posh stated that I would be refunded if the bag did not track by the 11th. Well it’s the 12th. No bag, no cash, and no response to my message sent Tuesday. Today is Friday and I’m feeling frustrated.
Desired outcome: Refund or my bag back
Verification of bank account
4/30/23 at about 3:30pm I had posted some psp games for sale for 70$ and someone wanted them but because I didn’t have $400 in my bank account to verify the account I couldn’t make the sale. That’s wrong to want that much in someone’s account to verify it and for the lady to tell me there’s nothing she could do. That’s like telling someone they can’t sale things on Poshmark if they aren’t rich
Desired outcome: I’d like the 70$ I missed out on cause of not having $400
Counterfeit items being allowed
I recently listed a t shirt with the saying, “I’m Gucci Baby” with animal print. It was deleted immediately. I was sent the same email that it’s not allowed considered counterfeit etc. While, browsing I have seen multiple listings with Chanel, LV, Gucci jewelry, t-shirts, tumblers etc. So, I decided to report them and see if they would be taken down, which they were not. Emailed CS and asked Why are certain people allowed to post these listings, but others are not? Still no answer, all listings are still being allowed. So, I ask you the same question. Do the guidelines only apply to certain people and not others? Why even have guidelines when poshmark itself does not adhere to them?
Desired outcome: Rules should apply to all users, even posh mark ambassadors and top sellers.
Upgraded label
Sold a Bric's suitcase. Downloaded upgraded label for 18.00. USPS would not accept it, and wanted 145 to ship.
I had it unscanned. Label keeps showing shipped and tracking, but I have the product in my possesion.]
Emailed for assistance to cancel label and reissue, no less than 6 times. No help, the questions they ask are irrevlevant to the problem.
No way to contact them.
Poshmark has NO customer service assistance.
No way to run a huge business.
So unprofessional and frustrating.
Desired outcome: Resolution and contact from Poshmark, I answer their questions and they send another auto reponse taking another 2 days between to answer. HORRIBLE
Paid and never received
I don't look for this complaint to be resolved here because the track record of solving all these complaints on "complaints board" is extremely low. I paid for my item and seller never shipped. The seller is @celebritycloset. I asked for a refund 3X's the customer support has yet to resolved my problem.
So the next best thing is to write to my representatives in my state. And send letters to lawyers who deal with class action lawsuits. This company needs to be investigated.
Desired outcome: That this company gets looked at by the legal community.
Fraudulent employee in support dept
Hello.
I believe I am being scammed on posmark. I was sent an email with a phone number on it, for a specialist to specifically fix my posh page. The Number is [protected].
I have been working with 3 people. Lydia, Olivia. Bernard.
Olivia and Bbernard are supposed to be supervisors.
I have had to pay many fees I was told so they could activate my web posh page.
The page is still not functional, and they keep asking for more fees.
They also have been doing it through text messaging.
Is this correct? Also getting offer letters supposedly CEO approved and signed with breakdown of money I will receive once I pay this or that fee. I have reached out to support multiple times.
Desired outcome: Get my 1600.00 back I paid in fees for a service I haven't received, which is a functional Poshmark web page.
I had a bad experience there too. I started having bad vibes Then I saw all the complaints about Poshmark all over the internet on multiple websites. I have been reading some of the complaints and Poshmark owes a lot of refunds, doesn't that fall in line with theft.
Excess shipping charge for package over 5 lbs
Sold a bundle of shoes to buyer (3 pair). Buyer paid the standard $7.67 shipping charge for packages up to 5 pounds. This package weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces so I had to pay for additional shipping charges. Poshmark charged me over $13 for the 2 pound/9 ounce overage! I was supposed to net out $108.80 for the sale and they only gave me $95.30!
I've filed a complaint with bbb as well as tried to get ahold of poshmark cs (thats a joke... No phone number to reach them and 2 emails went unanswered)... Just super shady
Desired outcome: want a refund for most of the $13 that the ripped me off for the additional shipping.
selling on posh mark
poshmark on protectors the buyer, no support for sellers. i have been scammed, thy want the clothes fast, they to send check or cashiers check, i say no. only through osmark. than the seller says its damaged. its happened a few times. scammers.
the seller is not heard, the buyer, gets the return. i have had stuff in ood shape torn up and sent back.
Desired outcome: support for the seller, when buyer messes with the item
No they don't protect the buyers either, they owe me a refund and I'm a new customer, I won't buy nothing on Poshmark anymore. And I'm telling all my friends and family not to purchase from Poshmark. And I think this company needs to be investigated yes indeed. I'm going to start by taking notes and reading all the complaints from all the websites. I'm retired so I have all the time in the world.
Wrong product delivered and posh made it impossible for a refund/replacement
I order a 6-piece Dinner plate Corell ware from the site. A week or so later, a box showed up with merchandise not even close to what I order 7-inch dessert plates. I contacted POSH to confirm this was really sent to me or was I being scammed into buying something I didn't want. Emails back and forth. You need to file a complaint through the website, there was no record of my account and purchase. (What a surprise) I responded back. Now they want me to delete cookies and my internet browser and retry. Of course, now they need a picture. Posh just keep increasing the difficultly for a 75 + individual to get his money back and mail the item back. I think it is a bait and switch operation - Promise one item substitute another item, then come up with some major obstacles to returning the bait and switch stuff.
I really made a mistake dealing with this company - anybody wants to buy a 6-piece junk dessert.
Desired outcome: Mail back the junk and refund my money- I will Glady pay for shipping let me know where to send it
Item Purchased - Never Received
Order ID 63923a78a2c42ecac6ced28f
I never received this order. I went to the post office multiple times and they did not have the package. Over $2000 was taken from me as payment but not timed see delivered. The seller is reaching out to me daily and is very upset. You have a seller and a purchaser out of money and their items. Please help. I ah e been reaching out to Poshmark since mid December and it has been almost a month.
I need my money back or for the items to be delivered as intended. Poshmark also needs to contact the seller and let them know what happened and that this is not my fault.
Simply displaying a message that my otder may have been misplaced is not ok. Not for over $2000. Pleas help me and the seller resolve this matter.
Desired outcome: I WANT A REFUND
You need to call your local representatives, congressman/woman, senators. Poshmark owes me money too. Go on your local TV news station's website, they usually help people when people have been scammed. I am going to do that once I get all my notes together. Don't let them get away with this.
Refusal to assist in a bad sale
I purchased a coat in January 2023 which was advertised as size 4. However it fits like a size 2 and I could not wear it. It was almost $1000. I immediately alerted the seller and Poshmark. Poshmark's position was that it was advertised as size 4. So then I tried to reposh it and Poshmark would not show it, i.e. if you search for this type of coat, it would not appear.
I have written 4/5 times and they have ignored my communications.
Very disappointing.
Will go to American Express and they will likely help me on this matter.
Desired outcome: Refund - I am happy to return the coat.
Commission check
I requested a commission payment from Poshmark in July 2021. I received a check in the amount of $1465.00 dtd September 10, 1921. I misplaced the check months later and it was stale dated. I could not deposit or cash it due to the stale date. I can find no phone number for Poshmark. So I have emailed them 6 times explaining my situation and giving them pertinent information on the check and a copy of my driver's license to prove my identify. Each time I ask Postmark to reissue the check. I have received 2 responses to my email in the past 2.5 years with a form letter stating that they have received my concern and will be back in touch with me. I plan to contact my attorney general if this is not resolved within the month of February 2023.
Sellers Titles Misleading
I sell jewelry on Poshmark and I also like to buy real gold and diamond jewelry. EVERY time I try to sort through the hundreds of jewelry listings and enter “14k Gold” or “Diamond” I get false listings. Meaning they are gold plated and not genuine diamonds but CZ or Moissanite stones. Poshmark needs a team to check the listing for accuracy so it does not take hours to find what you are actually looking for. If your listing is gold plated you need to state “sterling” then “gold plated” or not Diamond Moissanite, just Moissanite. This is extremely frustrating and I am planning on taking down all my jewelry listings and stick with Ebay.
Desired outcome: For Poshmark to check listings for accurate titles and descriptions.
Package refund for purse never received.
On Nov 23 my package didn't arrive it was a Poshmark order for $441. It was a very expensive leather purse. I reported this to Poshmark and the post office and local police. On Nov 28 Poshmark support promised me a full refund for my lost package. However after months of more than a 100 emails they told me they would definitely not refund my money. I filled a complaint with my credit card company but they also didn't help the post office and police didn't help me either. I am out $441 dollars . This was a Christmas present I couldn't afford to replace. I am very upset with level of customer service from Poshmark. Very bad service.
Desired outcome: I like a refund for $441 or a gift card to Poshmark for my refund of $441.
Damaged shoes
I opened a case because I ordered Michael Kors shoes and I was very disappointed with the outcome of the case. I received shoes that are unwearable, and the return was not accepted. they are in such bad condition that I will not re-posh them, because I will not do that to someone else. I thought this was a great place to buy and sell but I see this is one sided. I sent pictures of these shoes, they are literally junk. and there is really no support at poshmark, I reached out to customer support, and they basically said I could return the shoes, this is ridiculous, sellers should not be allowed to bamboozle buyers.
Desired outcome: All I wanted was to return the shoes for a refund
Order Certified 2ct. t.w. Moissanite Diamond Round Stud Earrings NEW
I ordered $700 earrings and they looked nothing like they did on the website. The stones are mounted really high and they look quite weird. I have not tried them on. I sent a request to return with photos of the earrings and I received an email saying my return was denied and they gave me no reason. I am livid. I'm not too fond of this company and its horrible customer service.
Desired outcome: I am still trying to get a human being to contact me. All they have is communication via email and they look auto-generated.
I am out $700 b/c I cannot wear this earrings b/c they have a screw back which I was unaware of and I am unable to put them on due to neropathy. The lack of customer service has been of epic proportions. I will NEVER EVER buy from Poshmark again. I will 100% stick with THE REAL REAL b/c they are awesome and take care of their customers.
I understand I am out for $441 for a package refund that never arrived. I hope you get your money back.
Seller sells item to be rejected and buyer gets money back and keeps item.
Their policy states that if an item is rejected the buyer has 5 days to return the item after you send them a return label. In my case the buyer accidentally (supposedly) clicked the wrong button and the funds were issued to me and were not issued initially by Poshmark. I communicated that I wanted my item back and take the accidental refund back. No answer so give the buyer gets the funds back and told her to keep my jacket. Great Scam! I should have had the choice to receive the funds or the jacket back. I want the jacket back as it was "given" to the buyer under false pretenses. I think this perpetuates scammers that are buyers. They simply reject the item then pretend to accept the item then Poshmark refunds their money and tells them to keep the item that they rejected!
Desired outcome: Want Paoshmark to issue a Return label to the buyer that rejected my jacket
