My name is Mrs. Diem Nguyen and I was on the Majestic Princess Cruises from October 8, 2023 to October 30, 2023 (Stateroom M432). On October 29, 2023, Majestic Princess Captain Steven Holland informed the passengers and myself that the Port of Auckland has closed due to bad weather and will be monitored closely. However, he did not mention the time for the port to be reopened. I therefore, went to the guess services and spoke with Mrs. Minji Hwang to see if I could have an extra night on the ship if it would docked late on the October 30, 2023. Mrs. Hwang advised me that per rule and regulations from the immigration, I would need to vacate the ship on October 30, 2023 as scheduled even if the ship would dock late on that day. She further stated that Princess Cruises had already notified to the Port Authority about all the guest names to be vacated on the scheduled date October 30, 2023. On October 29, 2023, I then went ahead and bought a return flight for the October 30, 2023 to be safe. However, on October 30, 2023, Captain Steven Holland has updated the situation in regard to the new disembarkation for the October 30, 2023 due to late docking the ship at 10:30 p.m. on October 30, 2023 and giving all the guests an extra night. I was happy but at the same time intrigued about his offer, and I needed to speak with Mrs. Danica Gostovi, the Manager of Mrs. Minji Hwang about her false statement made on October 29, 2023. I was angry with Mrs. Hwang on October 29, 2023 as well as on October 30, 2023 as I missed the flight scheduled for October 30, 2023 at 11:00 pm due to late disembarkation on October 31, 2023.
Claimed loss: The reserved flight for October 30, 2023 costed $568.38
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if I could have a refund of $568.38.
