I had purchased a ticket for travel on Qatar Airways but due to an emergency I had to postpone my trip. When I went on their website to manage my bookings I was given the option of a refund or voucher. Since my plans were on to travel at a later date, I opted for a voucher which showed me the voucher amount of INR. 64974.50. When I received my voucher on 31st January 2024, I was shocked to see that only INR. 43390.00 was given to me. I immediately contacted customer care and informed them about the issue then they created a case ref: CAS-2739232-T3F6X5 and have been waiting for a reply from them issuing me with the correct amount of the voucher which was allocated to me but till today I have not received a reply from them. I feel I have been cheated by Qatar Airways by providing me with wrong information and not giving me the voucher with the amount specified by them. If I knew that I would be losing so much money, I would never have cancelled my ticket. I think I may have to approach the Consumer Court now with this matter in order that they pay me the correct dues.

On 15th November I was travelling to Saudi Arabia with my wife I booked two seats on the upper deck right side where is the exit for me and my wife to seat comfortably. And I had to pay £320.20. But when I arrived to Qatar Airways disk at Heathrow Airport on my way to Saudi Arabia I found that my seats were given to some other passengers. And the operator gave to us other different seats. Also they gave me the email to ask for refund.

It didn’t finish here but in my way back to London again happened the same thing. My two seats that I booked were given to some other passengers. And me and my wife were given to seats in the middle where we were seating between to other Gentlemen and that’s was really uncomfortable for me and my wife.

I’m really unhappy with the situation and the behaviour of the staff.

And it's been nearly three months now that I'm contacting Qatar Airways via email and phone without any further assistance for refund.

In the end they offered me half of my refund which I didn’t agree.

So I decided to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau which they guided me to go through the legal process.

1- Send letter SPECIAL DELIVERY to Qatar Airways address explaining the issue with copies of all the evidence. Asking them to reply in 14 days.

2- lf they don’t reply or you’re not happy with them answer Contact the CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY in your country.

3- If they don’t sort out your issue then you back to CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU which they will deal with Qatar Airways in legal way.

I was travelling with my wife from Amman to Doha on flight QR403 on September 21, 2023, the service of the flight attendant was exemplary, specifically of Ms. Vidushi, If I were to travel again with Ms. Vidushi. I wish Ms. Vidushi good luck in her career and hopeful of treating her better.

On the 24th September 2023 I was traveling to Thailand from Or Tambo International Airport, using a qatar airlineQR1364 to Doha Departing. 13:55,terminal A, arriving Doha at 23:05,then we connect to Phuket international airport, when we arrived to the hotel we were booked to I noticed my bag was damaged and some of my iterms inside was missing, they took some of my clothes, gucci shoes, Karl sneakers, Karl bag, gucci sunglasses, my 3 waeves, Karl t-shirt and my perfume, please I need help for refund my iterms

I have had the pleasure to fly on the upon mentioned date with your excellent airline. Responsible for my fantastic experiences on board your vessel was the flight attendant Mrs. DUANGKAMOL. She made a wonderful and very friendly professional service to me.

My real thank you very much I would like to report to you a little bit late, but I think not too late.

My wife and I had the best stewardess ever in our 34 years of traveling! Snehadrita worked on the Qatar to Philidelphia flight on August 17, 2023. She was so helpful, friendly, engaging and always with a smile! She needs to be recognized for the standard of service she provided on that flight! We were in seats 44 J and H. This incident occurred on the 01 December 2023 at Gatwick international airport I was flying with my 80years old mother. On checking in our luggage I was told that my I need to get to another terminal to catch British airways to Doha. This was a terrible and difficult experience to convince my mother that we had to fly separately to doha the qatar staff attendant was cruel and not helpful. I managed to get to British airways terminal for 12:53pm it was chaos and no one want to listen to my story I was asked to wait, hold on and waited until it was 13:18 they told me I wouldn't get on the flight it was not about missing the flight it was more about how my 80years mother (my dependant) will cope throughout her journey. British airways attendant dismissed no one took responsibility on how to support or help with the situation rather Qatar airlines was claiming my business was with BA while British was pushing communication issues with Qatar airline. It took me a long time to raise this issue because the ordeal caused a lot of panic, tension, anxiety, upset within my entire family members. I had to get to Heathrow airport to obtain a new flight ticket to fly via Lagos the next day this horrific encounter has caused my mother never to fly again because she don't trust any airline what happened to us should repeat to any passenger could this be because our tickets were showing economy class. I think Qatar airlines should review their customer service staffs especially the ones at Gatwick airport on a scale of preference 1-10 I'll score Qatar airline 0.0. I will ensure that entire world will hear my history. The supervisor in charge of the Qatar airlines on that day was cruel she was not helpful at all

I booked 2 flights from Manchester to Durban with Budget Travel and paid in full. Flew on 13 March 2024 to Doha and then on to Johannesburg. At Johannesburg on 14 March advised that my flights to Durban had been cancelled. I had to buy 2 tickets at cost of £ 215.11. I have claimed through Budget Travel and provided them with all the information including the Qatar document authorising refund.

Qatar have only refunded £ 57.72 ! I require the outstanding balance to be refunded£ 157.36.

Hi my husband and i arrived into Cairo Airport on Friday 17 th November Qatar QR 1303. Only to find our luggage wasent on the plane. We have a property irregularity report (CA13497932) PNR 61544U

We were on a 18 day Trip a deal tour around Egypt. unfortunately my husbands heart medication and other tablets were in the missing suit case. They did arrive 3 days later.

My husband was very stressed for the first few days of our trip. Which you can imagine.

On our return flight from Brussels we have an 8 hour layover at Doha. Before booking the ticket we went on the website and foundthat you give complementary stay for that period. This did not mention it was for certain category of passengers. We are both Senior Citizens. So we went ahead and booked the return flight. Request you to consider our case for a complementary stay.

It has been more than five months and I followed up many times with presentative Kourosh Momeni and I haven't got any payment yet.

However, I checked the status of my claim online and it indicates that it was completed.

they stopped my payment because They mentioned that they need the Bank's Postal code to process but it wasn't mandatory when I submitted my claim.

I provided the PO but they said I need to complete the online claim one more time but the system didn't accept the routing code which was acceptable in the first time. I contacted my Canadian bank and they said Canada doesn't have the routing code and I don't know how the system accepted in my first apply.

I followed up many times with Kourosh Momeni but I didn't get any result after few months.

I asked my family called him with the number was in his email signature but not answer at all.

I would appreciate to assist me with my payment.

Hello,

I had booked a flight to India from US for Sep 20th, 2023.Unfortunately my Husband had brain Hemorrhage, and he was admitted to emergency Hospital in Washington DC on Sep 1st. He was in the MedStar Washington hospital for 11 days and we could not fly and had to cancel the flights. I didn't get the full refund; I was asked to submit the document from hospital with seal and signature from the doctor.

I have already submitted the document with doctor signature in a hospital letterhead. I cannot provide the seal as in USA there is no seal concept in the hospitals. I am really frustrated and feeling hopeless even after 4 months of the incident I did not get the full refund.

From past 4 months we have sent so many emails, chat in the app and spoke to so many agents from Qatar, all in vain. I am really frustrated to say this, when a family goes through an emergency situation like this, how hard it is talk to so many people and repeat every time what happened and still nobody cares to help.

We arrived back from South Africa on your flight via Doha, flight number QR21, arriving back in Manchester at 6.30am on the 6th January 2024.

My name is Robert Griffiths, I was travelling with my daughter Macey Griffiths,

the service during the flight was good, however after arriving back in Manchester my daughters' suitcase was missing. I'd like to bring to your attention the distress caused by the loss of the case not only loosing all of her clothes and Christmas presents, there were some items of jewelry left to her by her late mother who we have lost recently. We finally got the bag back on the Monday evening, but you must imagine the upset this has caused, on our outboard flight from Manchester to Cape Town our other suitcase was damaged beyond repair and had to wait several days for a replacement, when the replacement arrived it was of much lesser quality. Lastly, can you please check on my awarded relative points on my privileged club card.

I have been trying over the last year to get my business points added to my Avios card #[protected] from my trip I did in Oct/Dec 2022, however they keep informing me that it is too late.

I understand its states you have to contact in 90 days, however I was waiting for my points to be automatically added before I contacted Qatar. I paid a lot for my business class tickets and would appreciate it if you can source these points.

My wife and I flew with Qatar Airways on 17 Dec from Delhi >> Doha >> Berlin. My luggage was misplaced and I haven't received any updates even on 19 Dec (2 days later). The live chat isn't live at all, Whatsapp chat is also silent and no one at call centre can provide me the exact status of my baggage. I've called every possible contact I could find online and still haven't received satisfactory response.

May I request Qatar airways to look into it and share the updates about my luggage ASAP.

For my trip and the request for financial compensation for the difficulties I faced, and because I did not catch the plane heading to Buffalo, due to the short transit time 1:50 Min, and because of the severe crowding at the airport, I did not catch my plane, which led to financial losses for me and my family members, and caused us fatigue and exhaustion due to the long flight duration

We flew from Ahmedabad to Charlotte (USA) via DOHA and New York on Nov 24th. We did not recieve one of our bag in NY. Now Qatar airways is simply saying that they will contact their representative in NY to resolve this issue. I know, my bag is in DOHA but for some reason they are not sending it to USA. I have made several calls, went to local airport a few times, have emailed several people. Qatar takes week time to reply to my email and says the samw thing all the time. Also tells us that we should contact american airlines. Why should I get american airlines involved when i did not recieve my bags in from DOHA. There were very important medications for my 3 and 6 yr old kids + some expensive religious items.

My new reading glasses were left by accident in the front seat compartment at 33C on the evening of the 10th November 2023. This was a stopover for a few hours before continuing to Perth Western Australia. As soon as I checked in at the terminal after getting off this flight to go onto the next flight I reported to the staff at check in. Not 30 minutes after leaving the plane. They told me I could not go back onto the plane to retrieve them and would have to put a report in. I was very stressed over this when I knew they were just in that compartment and easy to get too but of course had to follow the regulations.

As soon as we landed in Perth we went to the information help desk for QATAR and reported this immediately in full.

Ten days later after trying with emails and trying to ring again to the help desk to no vail, to see what is being done I have received an email saying in reference to your lost property claim unfortunately they were not handed in!

Then the cheek to say we welcome you back again in the near future to fly with them!

I am utterly disappointed with this service.

Secondly, the seats we were allocated, the overhead reading light was flicking off and on continually, as this was an overnight long-haul flight, this resulted in me suffering with a very bad headache. We tried to get the cabin crews attention on multiple occasions by pressing the overhead assist button, but we were ignored for quite a while. When finally, one of the cabin crew came over to assist they could not fix the light. They said they couldn't do anything!

My husband and I bought business tickets through Qatar Airways (Istanbul-Doha-Denpasar-Bali) back on May 1st, 2023. It was our honey moon trip, just got married. Unfortunately our baggage did not arrive on time. we received it after 3 days. we stuck at the hotel because we had nothing. We purchased few clothing and the necessities and contacted the Qatar Airways and submitted the receipts but no response at all.

I am not happy with this service and need to escalate this issue further if we don't get a response and re-imbursement.

I was very hesitant to write this email due to the accumulated disappointments with your company which is supposed to be one of the best if not the best airline with no competitors

I and my wife are retired physicians had total of two long trips with Qatar Airways the first one we were amazed about the ground and inboard services

1- Unfortunately at the end we had a problem with the luggage ( lost and mishandled) , i filed a complaint with the ground services at the airport followed by another complaint directed to your customer services ( case reference: 2079738 - L7B6D8 ) i was told someone would contact me in this regard , unfortunately it did not happen

2- At the check-in counter for the same flight i gave our frequent flyer number with Turkish Airlines to be considered for the whole trip and sectors but as you can see on the attachment the frequent flyer number was included only in 2 out of 6 sectors the others remained blank

3- Our second and recent trip ( PNR = LSIGAG ) was also complicated by

A - Wrong frequent flyer number despite giving the check-in staff our Qatar airways privilege number, i assume the number he included was belonging to Finnair ( we have no idea what is that ) where are our point ?

B - We booked a wheel chair for me and my wife for the whole trip , unfortunately after our flight from Montreal landed in Doha we asked the flight attendance to confirm that the two wheel chairs are ready , she answered " yes " but we have to walk only 10 steps after exiting the aircraft , in fact there were 3 serviced wheel chairs , we showed the supervisor our boarding passes indicating the booking he refused allowing us to use the service, we told him we can wait but he insisted that the wheel chairs will be available outside the tunnel , hardly we could walk that distance , he asked us to wait until the Gulf car comes and take us to the gate ,i told him there is no time since our flight to Jeddah will be in 30 minutes , the guy was prioritizing other passengers intentionally , i was very angry and asked him to see his supervisor , he said there was no supervisor as i wanted to take his name from the badge hanging on his neck he hided the Badge very quickly and refused to give me his name , i am attaching photos of the guy , you will see no badge , at the end he sent us with a car after he talked to the driver in their language , the driver saw our boarding he confirmed he will bring us to the gate of the flight of Jeddah but he dropped us at the wrong gate of a flight to Riadh ...etc at the end we arrived to the gate minutes before take off

C - At home we realized that one of the 4 bags was damaged like the year before ( All bags were collected and brought by our driver this is why we did not file a complaint after this long trip)

I lost my checked-in bag while flying on Qatar airways (QR0071) from Doha to Frankfurt on 05 Oct 2023. My original destination was Amsterdam but due to flight delay, I got re-routed to Frankfurt and my luggage was tagged to Frankfurt and i was told that i should collect it in FRA. I filed a claim online (File Ref # FRA3436456) and till date did not get any status update, calls or emails regarding my lost baggage. I live in the Netherlands, so, the nearest customer contact number is Germany or Netherlands. I called multiple times and unfortunately, the customer service people i talked to where based in India. It was a call center! Then, why do you advertise the number as international customer service contact. They could not help me because they do not handle lost baggage services only ticketing issues. I had to use chat to find out the status of my lost luggage. That's another comedy of its own. I tried WhatsApp chat to contact an agent and AGAIN NO HELP!

So, in summary:

I was on a business trip in Sweden, before that, my wife and I were in the UK on vacation. On my return trip to South Africa, we departed on the 6th Sep and arrived at OR Tambo on the 7th September. Unfortunately my checked in luggage bag was “lost” by the airline. They could not trace the bag. I reported it on the 7th September. This was extremely stressful for my wife and myself. The bag had many sentimental items (mine and my wife’s). Gifts as well. My wife’s clothes, my clothes, cosmetics, etc. Items which we purchased in London and Sweden, as we were out for 2 weeks. I did explain to Qatar that we had an important family function which we needed to attend in Durban on the 9th September, and my wife and myself were the MC’s for the function. All of our clothing, cosmetics, etc were in the bag. At that point, Qatar, could not explain, where my bag was. I went to Qatar offices on the 8th September, and I spoke to Kayla, she is part of Reinhard van Niekerk's team. She explained to me, that I could go and purchase items I required for the function, and I should submit a claim to Qatar. She explained that Qatar, will refund me, and Qatar will also compensate me for 50 USD per day, for my inconvenience.

My wife and I did exactly what Qatar explained to me. We purchased clothing, my wife’s cosmetics, my razor, etc. These were items, we owned, which were lost, due to Qatar losing my bag. We attended the function on the 9th September. We have pictures of the function as proof, if required. My bag was found on the 11th September (5 days later). I submitted attached claim, as I was advised, but unfortunately, Qatar is trying to avoid liability and not cooperating on the refund and daily compensation which they said will be paid to me.

In addition to the above, both of my Qatar flights were delayed. Going to UK, flight delayed, and we missed our bus to Manchester, which costed me additional +/- R1300. On the return flight, flight delayed again.

Very poor customer service from Qatar and no help.
