Quality Air Of America My AC unit broke down, so I contacted Quality Air Of America for assistance

My AC unit broke down, so I contacted Quality Air Of America for assistance. They sent someone over, and it turned out that the unit was frozen and needed to thaw overnight. The next day, I called them again to have someone come back. While I was at work, the technician called and said they were on their way. I left my job and went home, but an hour passed and there was no sign of the technician. I called and the guy on the phone informed me that the technician was at another nearby job. Frustrated, I went back to work. Finally, the technician arrived almost two hours later. Since I was still working, I let him in. He informed me that I had a leak and it would cost $700 to fix. I found this price outrageous and expressed my dissatisfaction. He claimed that the costs had increased. Feeling desperate and annoyed, I told him I needed to call the office to discuss the high price, but I allowed him to proceed with the work. Surprisingly, the office called me before I could contact them for payment. I reiterated that the price was too high, but they insisted that the costs had gone up. They explained that fixing the leak would cost $400, and the freon would cost $100 per gallon, with a requirement of three gallons. I felt trapped and had no choice but to pay. The technician mentioned that if he could negotiate a better price, he would let me know. I agreed. Later, I spoke with my Captain, who had also experienced AC issues. She had a leak as well and paid only $400 for the repair. I was shocked by the difference in prices. I decided to call Quality Air Of America to discuss the matter. However, when I called, the phone rang and then hung up. I tried again, and the guy answered. I requested to speak with the manager, but he informed me that the manager was unavailable. I left my name and number, even though they could easily see it on their caller ID. Unfortunately, no one ever returned my call.

Quality Air Of America My AC stopped running about 11 PM March 5, 2022

My AC stopped running about 11 PM March 5, 2022. I turned it off trying to rest it. It would run periodically. I called Quality Air, the company that installed the unit and with whom I have a maintenance contract, and did not receive a return call. I called again the next day and received no return call. It totally quit running. I called again Monday the 7th and was told someone might get to me that day but it did not happen. A nice young man came about 11:45 March 8th. The drain line was clogged and required a deep drain line flush. I have never had that happen with an AC unit. I researched AC preventive maintenance and saw that a routine flush should be done with every maintenance visit. The only documentation that I have stating it was done is dated May 9. A technician has come on a regular basis and there have been many times when they turned the unit on and did nothing else and said it was fine and left no service call paperwork. If the drain line had been flushed and documented, I would not have had to have a deep drain line flush done and would not have been uncomfortable and given a bill for $199. I want to be refunded and for the company to provide clear service paperwork with a list stating what preventive maintenance has been done. Also, a condensation pump was installed on 6/19 with a 3 year warranty. It was replaced on 10/23 and I was given no paperwork. I was told there was no new warranty on the replacement pump. That does not seem logical to me.

Quality Air Of America I bought a new air conditioning system from this company in 2016

I bought a new air conditioning system from this company in 2016. It came with regular checks, a warranty, and a 10-year warranty on parts. Last year, my unit started leaking onto my floors. I had the company come out and they found that the coils needed replacing. I had to pay upfront for the labor, but the parts were still covered under warranty. After I made the payment, they said if they couldn't replace the coils, they would replace the whole unit. But after weeks of no response, I had to send emails and make calls to get a refund because they couldn't find the part. I asked what the next step was, but they just told me to find another company that has the part and pay for it myself, then pay Quality Air of America to install it. I didn't want to do that because I already have a warranty with them. They said the warranty company doesn't have the part, but when I asked for their contact information, they didn't give it to me. So now, my unit is still under warranty and they won't help me get replacements. The leaking has gotten worse in the past few weeks and I have to use towels to clean up the water and protect the floor. The water has damaged the walls and baseboard, which I had to replace and will have to replace again if the leak isn't fixed. It's a real hassle and burden. I need help getting the covered parts because the company has stopped talking to me. I also want reimbursement for the damages caused by the leak since I reported it initially.
