I have been on default for more than 4 months with RakBank Credit Card since I got terminated with my previous company and just recently joined a new company. Last month of November, I paid the amount of AED 700. Then I received a call again from certain Mohd (+[protected]) saying that it's not enough and I have to pay more than 1000 otherwise they will file a police case against me. I have explained to him thati just recently joined a new company and I could only pay for this amount.
Mr. Mohd (+[protected]) started calling me and relling me indecent words, such sa B*ch, stupid lady, idiot and the F* word. and even sent me an SMS that CID is already hunting you, and then he called me that He will make sure that I wil be put in jail and will be thrown inside the jail like a pig and get raped there and started to say I'm a very indecent girl with very bad attitude and other things which made me cry and worried. How could he say those words? I don't know him and he doesn't even know me. When I explained why there is delay on my payment, he told me to shut UP and he doesn't need my explanation. He's saying that even if I pay him 1Million Dirhams still he will not accept it and he will make sure that I will be insifde the jail and get dumped there. Such a prestigious bank treats their customer like this? what can I do if I lost my job and the fact that I did not leave the country means I am willing to pay them back and wil never turn back on my obligations. They should understand that there is economic crisis and unexpectedly I got terminated and I know my obligations.

I agree and I feel sorry for you. I have a similar experience with rakbank collection department.in my case it was a girl who neither seemed quite mature nor behaved in a professional way. for a moment I thought she didnt even know what she was talking as she was just going on about her stuff and didnt even give me a chance to talk. it was as good as an automated voice. she didnt even care if I was trying to explain something to her. her name was sadia kabir - [protected]/[protected]. I think the collection people get commissions on recoveries and have huge targets on their heads to meet up with. this is why they treat customers like a cheap trash.

I have a quite different experience... my payment was delayed due to financial crunch and I told them that i'll make payment on the next due date since thay have already charged me for the late payment. but they keep on calling me 7 to 10 times a day and everytime I was explaining the same. after two days I loose my temprament and I told them that i'm not ever gonna make you payment do whatever f* you wanna do. I told them to record my conversation for quality and training purpose and because of your behaviour now you will never even a single dirham from me... after that I never made any payment nor I have answered their calls...

This is my recent letter to rakbank that will never be read...

I am going to write this the way that rakbank writes to me.in all upper case letters like I am screaming. I had a rakbank card. I wasnt paid at my job so I couldnt pay rakbank as regularly as I would like to. now, unlike every other civilized bank in the world, rakbank routinely threatened me in the professional manner in which it believes. I tried to make contact to sort it out and 8 times over 2 months, I was told that someone would contact me and they never ever ever did! then I finally got a new job and made an immediate payment of 250% more than I was threatened to pay. it has now been just over a month and I receive a phone call from collections asking me if I am * *... I said "yes"... then they began screaming at me without letting me speak. very professional, very adult. I am very shocked. I have never seen this in any organization in my 39 years.in every attempt to contact rakbank to sort out things, they never returned my call. I suppose it is better to scream at someone on the phone like it was a personal loan from an illegal loan shark not a national bank. my card was cancelled some time ago and I am trying to pay it off but I would appreciate the help of rakbank to work with me on this and not against me.
I don't expect a reply because it seems that clear communication is not part of rakbank's protocol.

Go to al hilal bank... they really know what they are doing... not these rak jokers. idiots.

This is majorly like all of you'll who have a financial crunch; they too get pressured, infact they have been told by their superiors to try and get the amounts at any cost or else work extra hours. All these people you speak about are harassed at work;by either making them stay uptil late at work, put them down for even the smallest targets they achieve. truly how you'll were treated was wrong and unacceptable to anyone. But i think informing the police or higher authorities would have been good. Abuses should not be tolerated..

Ignore the calls from collection agencies. do not listeten to them. disconnect the phone whenthey cross the limit. they are not iinteresrted for any full settlement. because they will lose one sheep for next months dinner. poor fellows. better letter eat thier on # and others.

One day received 300 miss call within 30 mts without any gap! then I realised that he is one of the donkey working for a sudane lawyer.

By gods grace I paid the full amount of dues even 1000 xtra. now let him eat his #.

I have also the same experience on the RAKbank collection department, they dont even listen on their customers they just simply harassing us for them to meet their target. I was driving one day then one superior called me and yelling at me. Everytime I will explain why I did not make the payment she will say shut up and telling "that is not my problem". She always screaming and thinking that I false promises. She dont even speaks clear english and without even telling her name she said all the bad words she wanted to say. It is totally opposite of the attitude when they are asking for new clients or should I say new victim.

RAK bank is the biggest looter and the worst bank in terms of service. It harasses its customers to the core if they miss a payment or two. All the collection agents sitting in their office near the Grand Hotel are Grand [censor] and [censor]s. They think they are some kind of FBI Agents when they take you to a room for interrogation and threaten you to pay up or face dire consequences. They have no human sentiments and don't care whether some one has lost his/her job or has serious financial problems. These [censor] will rott in hell and will face similar situations sometimes in their life. What you do to others will happen to you too anytime sooner or later in your life. What comes around goes around.

Hi, I have faced similar situation by rak bank, I lost my job and currently out of uae yet still I am making payment for last 5 months, however now I have reached a stage where I cannot continue to make this payment. I explained them that despite outside uae I am making payments as I want to but now cannot pay the minimum amount so please give me a easy installment option and I will continue to pay. initially one manager said make this payment and I will give you an option and when I made that payment he changes his statement and said now payment the next payment and call me once I did that again he said you continue make the payment like this and your payments will be cleared. I took money from a friend for that payment as the agent promised to help once this is clear. now they are threating for a legle case, although I am out side uae so they cant take me to jail. I need your advice how I can proceed, I want to pay despite I am outside however just want them to cooperate and give me a easy installment option to help me pay regularly on which they are not agreeing and this leave me no option except not to pay as I dont have funds to pay. but same time I dont want any case against me. do you guys think they will put a legal case, becuase many people told me they dont do cases inless amount is big more than 50, 000 mine is half then this. please advice. you can email me at fifty. fifty2@gmail.com

Can anyone see a pattern emerging here - the same illustrious mr mohammad who was so completely unacceptable to ms tonibelpriones has just been on the phone to me. my fault, and it is just that, was that I missed one months instalment which I should have paid on the 2nd of sept (today is the 26th sept) and when he called last week, I told him that I would pay but for one reason or the other, couldn't - I have been a client of theirs for over 2 years and make regular payments on a monthly basis - this complete clown of a man starts screaming down the phone at me, trying to be insulting - I maintained my composure and told him to calm down as otherwise he will give himself a heart attack... he kept on screaming. what is the objective of this? to scare people into paying? do they not realise that all that's happening is that their bank is getting a bad reputation by so many people writing complaints? -

to the rak bank management: gentlemen, if this is a policy decision to have total and utterly uneducated idiots representing your bank, I would suggest that you kindly re-think your decision because honestly speaking, they are only making a bad situation worse.in the 16years that I have been living in the uae, I have never encountered such flagrant rudeness, disregard for a customer nor unprofessional conduct. thank you.

Since september 2010 me and my husband have been requesting for card settlement from rak bank and have no response. recently I have started following up rak bank and the collects officer agreed for a x amt for settelment and when yesterday I went personally to meet he told me a y amount that we need to pay.
I have been explaining him that my husband does have a job and I wish to pay on his behalf, but I think they don't underastand the word that 'I want to pay'. I undersatnd that each one is here to earn, but one also needs to understand that if the person who is taken the card is not able to pay there is someone who is willing to pay on his behalf and should be appreciated and helped.

Hi... I had the worst ever experience 2 weeks ago when I got pulled over by the police. he asked me why I had not paid my car loan and I told him I had and I had no more payments owing to rak bank. he told me that he has to arrest me and take my car. I was so shocked and could not believe what was happening... lucky for me that I got a nice office and a friend drove past and stopped and she could speak arabic... the police officer took me to jebel ali police station where my car was taken and I had to remain until my friend could go and get all the necessary documents from the bank and my house... this whole thing started at 7:15 and did not finish until 5... my poor friend had to go to 3 different rak banks the first the loan dept said I do not understand what has happened she has nothing to pay... then my freind went to 2 other rak banks then was sent to a brank in al qasis then had to go to dubai court then cid... and then she came back to me... this whole process was time consuming, scary and un necessary... I had to pay 6000 to the bank and it was their mistake.. if I did not pay I would have to have gone to court... now I need my car for work so had to pay. I have made several complaints to the bank emails and phone calls and no one has gotten back to me... rak bank is the worst bank to deal with and I am disgusted with what happned to me... this would not happen in another country...

I also got some bitter experience from theis bank. I have used dhs 3200 in credit card and then I lost job so I could not pay for 6 months. then again I came on visit to uae that time the balance was more than 5500. but I talked to legad department khalid and he said pay 2500 and your account is closed. I payed and was cool.
Again now I am getting calls from them that I have to pay again 2000. and the way they deal is so hurting and upsetting.
Frankly speaking I had relation with fgb abd they cleared things as they agreed.
But this bank is so cheating and is not worth keeping any trust. they dont have any value for their commitments.

I am working in al ansari exchange, we are dealing with customers as well but not that way rak bank employees dealing us. infact rak bank guys losing their valuable customers. today I received a call from the bank to pay my credit card amount as I missed last month. the guy was threat me that he will take legal action against me and he will call my hr department and he will fire me, he shout at me alot; I just listen to him till he finished his pressure cuz he must be pressurize from his seniors. when he finished his call I gone to my boss and told him everything about his call. so its simple guys; make a big heart and show them your good attitude and let them learn something from you. my suggestion is avoid credit cards specially, it has more hidden charges. its just hell.

I abdul majeed najeeb having a credit card no.[protected]
(titanium master card) which I took in 2009 when I had a job, I would remit the money every month.in march 2011 I lost my job, immediately I reported the bank
And gave a copy of termination letter in king fizal branch, sharjah, but still I managed to pay the money by borrowing from my friends and relatives for few months. I even sold my daughter’s gold bangle to pay the bank.

After 8 months I got a job in abu dhabi with less salary than before. I had to repay my friends and relatives who helped me when I was jobless. I live here with my wife and two childrens, both are going to school. I had to manage all the expenses and at the same time repay the debts also.

In the mean time I was being called from the bank saying I have to pay this much
And all that, they kept on harassing me very often. the tension I am undergoing is unexpressable.

I don’t say that, I won’t pay. I will pay the bank, but I want the bank to help me by reducing the amount. if the interest, over limit fee, late fee will be waived off, I can pay the remaining total amount by 4 - 5 installments.

I request the bank to mail me a settlement letter so that I can settle this at the earliest and become free from the debts.

Your favorable action in this matter will be highly appreciated.

I am also a rakbank customer, I am also upset by the way they move things at rakbank. I just opened my account 5 months ago and I already had lots of problems with them. they are like thieves who are waiting for us to blink so that they can steal. they infiltrate our account with schemes like insurance, credit shield over the period and if we are not crystal cautious of our account and its statement they will rip you. I wish now I had dug a pit and stored my money there rather than trust rakbank. due to my dealing wih rakbank I have unnecessarily lost thousands of dirhams. I contacted their customer care, which gives us all the confidence that the issue is forwarded to our complaints department, only find out that a few days back their reps call and say its declined. they are very rude too. I had to deal with jai, who is a senior complaints officer. he was very rude and wasnt even considering me as their customer. he was like its declined and shut the f*k away. I am closing my account.

I had similar problem, still am receiving continous calls for the payment of personal loan and credit as this donkeys doesnt know about the situvation. my full final settlement was on hold by the same rak bank and asking me to pay the minimum payment. I told them that my money is already credit that can be utilized for the minimum payments but what they are saying is it is going to debited fully only for the loan purpose rest all I need to clear with in no time. actually I got a new job so changed my current profile from my old to new job and also im ready to continue my monthly payments for loan as same as I done for last couple of months also iam ready to provide any kind of certificate from my new company saying that my salary transfer should be paid monthly to rak bank but still they are not understanding and keep on calling me and disturbing for the further payment. I dont know whats wrong with this collection department I thing they need to understand that we are not beggars and willing to pay full amount as it is to the bank. we are taking the loan by the request of their loan department sale man crying infront of us to achieve his target after that all the head aches are comming to us in the end no body will be taking care in a sensible way... really I hated rak bank >! never ever jump in to fire > very poor customer service {[ if we visited the bank customer center they dont know anything only they know how to chat in black berry or iphone or any other smart phone... uae >what is this? who is taking care of all this rubish...! very painfully a customer

Holder of rak bank current account 02_300_.
I am new to uae, located at sharjah.
After reaching here I had opened an account with adcb bank, they processed my account fast and within 3 days of request I recieved my debit card with cheque book.
However my company is dealing with rak bank for depositing our salary with your bank.
So I was asked to cancel the account with adcb bank by our own hr dept (mrs. s) and asked to open account with rak bank.
The official from rak bank, mr. r_th came here, took the signed form, my pasport copy, salary certificate copy etc about 45 days back.
But after many days I was issued a debit card and your bank booklets without a cheque book.
I am a person new to uae, a doctor by profession and is staying a guest house provided by the company.
Already I have overstayed in the guest house, our company expects me to find a personal stay elsewhere as others too are coming and there are not enough rooms.
I had contacted the customer care on 6th dec, and mentioned to mr j_n that I have not got the cheque book.
I had contacted mr. r_th, our company officials too.
Seeing no help from anywhere in this issue, I contacted again in your customer care with mr. s_n and registered an official complaint on 13th, they said the issue will bw sorted in 2 days. my complaint registered number is 7884762.
There were some telephonic calls from your customercare, but no actions from your side..
The humiliation that I had to face and the difficulties caused to me cannot be paid back by money or by doing something now..
I think your official who made me take this account had to take some more responsibility, rather than be just getting the cuts for me taking the credit card. most of the time, you official dont pick up calls or wont even call back..
Is this the way you deal with your customers especially new customer?
I am still waiting for some concrete action from your side.

My name is yasin Jahabar our company last couple of years one of your customer in your bank I am working one of reputation group of company couple of years couple of time came with draw the money same branch also today one of your cashier name is Mr. kapila he is from Indian I think so today Thursday you know too much rush in your branch gold souk rak bank more than 150 people are staying stand by queue everybody keep same law why one of your staff illustrate two are three people are not standing by queue directly give to him than cashier also take him with draw the money and deposit money also rest of customer also not open the mouth everybody keep quite everybody having work my no is coming one of the gentleman ahead with me that time system was some problem cashier is telling you have to wait ok I ask cashier big problem very big problem he say like this than he treat with me standing by queue properly I say I am standing properly I am not working with him how to talk customer his behavior is not good very bad talk rough and tough I am not labor I am working one of reputation company accountant he don’t have any mannerism did I say anything wrong nothing else this incident happened [protected].30 pm) I give the suggestion with you sir please implement system bring token I am not only suffer so many people are same dialogue please bring the token system easy for everybody.

I had a credit card of rak bank and regularly I was paying my installment untill oct 2012 even after lossing my job in may 2012. my visa was cancelled in september 2012 untill than I never had any offer but finally I got an offer letter and the compnay was not in a situation to transfer my visa immediatley and asked me to go back to india and informed that they will send me a visa but unfortunatley the company had put my position on hold and I am trying hard to get a job in abroad and india, I also tried hard to clear the dues but the kind of interest charges they have I could not not come out of it and lastly when I did not have money I stopped paying the amount when I came to india. now recovery agents calling from +[protected] are threatening me and harassing like a mad dog mentioning your name has been blacklisted in interpol and you will go to jail in india, your passport recovery warrant has been issued from immigration of india and you can not got any where in the world etc. etc lot abusive things. they traced out my outgoing call made from my etisalat mobile [protected]) used while in dubai and calling all my friends and relatives and informing them that I have been issued an arrest warrant. now I am completely shocked that how can etisalat share my personnel information without my concent which is breaches of trust. as I am unable to pay 27, 770 aed they are asking as I am job less at this moment. I want this issue to be sorted out amicably and asking rak bank to extend the time of payment and amount so that I can arrange money and pay. still they are listing anything.

All these years my relationship with rak bank as a customer I had not any default payments but now when I arrive at a situation this is how the uae bank's will treat their customers without doing any followups and directly harrassing people like this do uae law's support such banks. tomorrow on agreed terms we can settle the money but how they are going to pay for the humilation they are creating to us by calling our friends and relatives and ruining our names for nothing, without them taking any steps. there is no intention of cheating as I have lived in dubai for 11years and been paying all debts untill than. we expacts come there and survive only on our job's but at situation when we losse our job there should be some consideration on us or banks should default make us pay issurance so we can come out such situation in future.

I am ready for negotiation if they can give me some time and reduced full and final settlement offer. pls suggest and help me as I am so frustrated with this pls help me to come out of it.

I have a credit card from rak bank and have tried to maintain a regular payment since I got the card in 2009.in fact, I did not miss any payment until I ran into some financial problems in the beginning of the year and had to default on my payment over the past two months. this month the due is almost 5000/- and the guy harassing me (30 calls yesterday) keeps saying that unless I pay he is going to have my job cancelled. I kept asking for a monthly payments plan to pay off the amount (which dubai bank processed with great ease in one day), but he gave a convoluted story about how long and complicated the process is.
It seems that the focus is getting the money out of you and not giving you the option of suspending the card and monthly payment scheme, because that way the bank will lose out on charging you the excessive interest rate. I agree with most of the people here that the staff are told to not work out a solution for their customers, but get the due amount to keep earning the interest for the bank.
If a client is willing to pay monthly installment and work towards settling the outstanding, the bank should work with the client and help/assist as much as possible especially as credit cards have the highest interest rates and the bank has made their money almost 100% by the time a cardholder has used the card for three years.
Rak bank collections are a bunch of uneducated idiots and they will soon find out that karma is a #!

Was looking for a link that could guide me to this particular blog rak bank is actually crap bank selling nothing but lies... I had been a ex - employee of this bank and sorry but had to make a lot of false promises to alot of people I mean every bank does cheat to earn profits but this bank is a superlative in cheating it s customers. I also had a credit card from these guys not at all a user friendly card as well and the worst scenario is when I had approached their al qusais branch (al twar) to close my credit card was treated really badly by two customer service officers namely theresa who treated me very badly and rudely and there is no token system (which is found in all the banks in the uae) who treated me very badly and rudely rak bank is the worst bank ever please refrain from dealing with this particular bank rak bank is the worst bank ever please refrain from dealing with this particular bank

Rak bank is highly unprofessional organisation. never ever think of taking credit card from them. this is fraud company and cheating people. they have charge late fee and interest, total aed 370 becuase I could not pay aed 55/- out of aed 10455/-. I paid 10400/- and since I did not had aed 55 change. I thought it will come in next month.

Hey stop all these cheating and bloody business. you bloody buggers do not even deserve any respect and does not left any face value.

Go and check all your voice recording and email trail below where I have mentioned several times that I left uae one year back. if I am in uae then why should I transfer money from singapore.
I will raise this to my corporate so they should be aware before go for any service from this #ing bank.

I am disturbed by the face that even though I made payment I have been asked to pay overdue. anyway, I have reviewed all my payment history and came with the conclusion:
(1) there was one day delay payment in sep emi. I believe you are referring the overdue amount because of that. please note this delay payment has been happened because of rak bank as I have transferred emi well advance for the month on sep. I have sent supporting document for the same which you confirmed now.
(2) I was surprised by the fact that there was two times deduction (5299.17) in the month sep and reversed one deduction after I raised complaint. if the delay was happened in sep then why the overdue has not been recovered in sep?

I have taken final stand to stop all these. as per my record there was one last emi pending in nov. as you people have deducted extra 160.98 so I will transfer only 5336.17-160.98=5175.19.

If you think that rak is still owing some due from me then pass the case to your legal department. I will action accordingly.

I have reverified my account details and found that there was only one day in month sep abt the emi payment. I have communicated the same with executive at the same time as my transaction was pending with rakbank side only. I have raised tt from singapore on 31-aug and confirmed with dbs that it was transferred on 3-sep to rak. but the same amount was reflected in my rak account 8-sep which is one day delay of my emi deduction. so, it was just cheating to make me defaulter. also, on top of that I have noticed and raised the concerned that amount deducted twice in sep. as I mentioned earlier email that I want the break-up of my late payment fee. also, send ur graviance cell number. just to let you know that I am taking this matter as serious note and come with legal step if I will not get satisfactory answer. hope this clear now. stop cheating people. it conveys bad messages.

On 18th april 2014 I received a call from one mr rakesh chawdary tel no : [protected], claiming to be acp crime branch delhi. he said that they have received a warrant from interpol against me. when I asked him who had filed a complaint? he told me to contact one advocate gupta on tel no: [protected]. I immediately contacted this advocate gupta and he told me that he has filed a case against me on behalf of rak bank dubai in delhi court and if I do not pay the outstanding loan amount he will proceed with the case and have me arrested and put on the next flight to dubai. I told him that I was sick and under medication in mumbai, but he threatened me with dire consequences and put on conference with rak bank recovery staff one mr faisal iqbal, who was utter abusive and rude on the phone. when I told him that I want to settle the outstanding amount which was only dhs 53, 000/- he told me that I need to pay dhs 1, 19, 000/- and need to pay immediately. when I told him that I need time to mobilize such a big amount he told me to place the security cheque for rs 20, 000000/- (20 lacs) with one world wide money transfer - mr piyush jain immediately. I told him that I was out and will be able to provide this cheque only when I return home in the evening. but he was very arrogant and told me that if I do not provide this cheques of current date then he will ask advocate gupta to proceed with the extradition proceedings and have me arrested. being from a good family, I was freightened and agreed to immediately provide the cheques to mr piyush jain on the same day by 5 pm. I provided three cheques dated 18th april, 22nd april and 25th april respectively to complete the above amounts to mr piyush jain's man at 5 pm as promised. adv gupta told me that once the cheques are cleared he will immediately arrange for the police release in dubai and withdraw the case against me filed in delhi court. I some how manage to clear the 2 cheques by selling of my wife jewellery and sold my crv honda car for distress price to clear the last cheque. now it is almost 15 days that I have not got the release for my car in dubai and the buyer who purchased my car is chasing me for the release. I have been writing to mr faisal iqbal of rak bank daily for the release but he has been abusive and non co-operating on the same. the buyer of my car is threatening me with returning back my car and claiming return of the amount he paid. he has taken a security cheque from my brother in law at the time of purchasing the car and had told me that incase if I do not get the release of the car done he will deposit the cheque of my brother in law. as far as the bounced cheque is concern the law in dubai is very harsh and if the buyer deposits the cheque of dhs 61, 000/- in the bank and get dishonoured then my brother in law might come into trouble... now I have been trying to call adv gupta and rakesh chawdary, but their mobiles are switched off. I believe that these two persons are conman and are chasing, freightening and abusing people who owes money to rak bank and are not able to pay regular instalments. I caution everyone who are in similar situation like mine to be careful and not budge or presurised by these crooks as I did...

I would like to get my greivence, that I took a car prado thru rak bank last year, I have been paid installments on time which will come dms 2990/-month. due to some financial crisis, I have missed 4 installments, and rak bank has caught my car, after they inform me to deposit two installments which I paid and visit the collection center in al quasis to take my car, then they again ask me to pay the overdues again, then I agreed to pay other 2 months installments, I visited again, then they asking me to pay 3 more future upcoming installments, I agreed to that also, after I visited, again they are demanding to pay 5 upcoming installments and a guaranteer with his cheque, now the total demanding amount is dms 25, 000/-

I went again with a guarantee (my staff) + dms 25000/-, now he is saying, he need the signature to be attested from court and he need other person as a guarantee. since I am the company owner and my company is in hmfzc, so I have shown moa, company register certificate, share certificate, trade licence, here all proof that iam the owner … what else they need? they are harassing me. their intention is not to give my car, the want to take the car to appoint some of them as auctioner, there are lot of complaints same like this incident which I am going thru, they are putting me in circles ….

We have our security cheque with them and they returned after pay the installment, the surprise and amazing thing is that we cannot talk to anybody to finish in a solution, the customer is like a beggar and no higher authorities to look after, we still dont know what will they ask again? since this collection point euro arab marketing nera grand hotel squeeze the customers and dont allow to hear any of our concerns, just demanding like anything. no body is controlling the team and customer have no choice

Where should we go? since the customer is ready to pay the up coming installments and keep guarantor also, what else they need? we need a solution to finish this matter.

Even I got a cal from rak bank people located in delhi named as yadav and gupta.
They are calling and askin me to pay the pending amount.
They even asked the rak bank dubai collection name faisal to cal and even he was not professional in call.
Can any one advise what should I do as these guys are callin me and tellin that they will file a case against me and call the police.

Do know what to say I will never deal with local bank in life.
I had a loan in [protected] aed and I was paying for additional insurance made that time by the bank to insure the payment in case of job loss, in 2009 I was terminated with balance around 17000 aed I applied for insurance coverage, the bank gone through prolong process during which I was keeping the payments and additional charges for insurance and until the balance become 11900 aed the insurance cover the rest... after 5 yrs the bank call me again to pay the 11900aed which was paid by insurance, I ignored them but they used the security check against me and I was stopped in the airport and I had to pay 13100 aed to let me go and im still now figuring out how to fight back this bank will not let go away with this, please share your thoughts if you have an idea

My husband have the same issue in rak bank. he is out of uae for a month because of business trip. he didn't manage to pay for his loans in rak bank and adcb. he is receiving calls from rak bank, threatening him that they will do legal action against him. when he came back to dubai to fix and pay his loan installments, they hold him in airport and detained him. how he will resolve this if the bank already did police actions against him. they dont have considerations and they cannot wait for money. they didn't think that he is on travel, that's why he is late on payments. we don't know what to do now. can somebody advise us what to do please? i'm so scared, i'm worried about my husband in jail. I have to deal with the bank tomorrow, sunday. coz all is close by friday and saturday, and we can't do anything but to wait. i'm thinking about what will happen

Could someone help u, we need advise on what to do. police arrested my husband in airport the moment he arrived there last thursday night. until now he is still detained. because rak bank and adcb filed a legal action against him, by not paying his loan on the said due date. he didn't intend to run away his debts. because he is outside uae for a month for a business trip, that's why he didn't manage to pay loans on time. they keep on calling and threatened him that they will sue him. and my husband said, I will pay once I go back dubai on february. but then, still banks filed legal action. I don't know what to do now since its weekend and all is closed, my brother in law will go tomorrow to the said banks to talk to them and ask if they can cancel the police or jail thing. and give us installment options and continue paying. im so scared about the situation of my husband. maybe the banks also ask my husband's working company to terminate him from work. oh god. :' (I really need advise

As an expat who has resided in dubai for over 5 years, I thought I was settled here! suddenly and without warning made redundant, sadly thinking I was settled here for the rest of my life I like many other here had the usual credit card from the bank and a loan, I did the right thing and emailed the banks to inform them of my loss of employment thinking they would understand and reduce my payments giving me time to find another job,

How wrong could one be! they are vultures with the worst being rak bank who immediately sent my file to a debt collection agency, this company have constantly harassed me sometimes calling 30 times a day demanding full payment, I have explained a million times this is not possible and have continued to make small payments in an attempt to stop them saying I have paid nothing! next I get a text message telling me they are opening a police case against me! this company who I am quite happy to name tahseel - hadaf al khaleej debt collection is using hundreds of different number and even mobile phones so you don't know who is calling, I am pretty sure even the uae has laws against this kind of harassment. they are all indian callers and are so rude, it makes you end up slamming the phone down and blocking their calls, its high time the emirates woke up to debt and treated it not as a crime but in most cases an inadvertent situation arising thru loss of employment, then instead of allowing innocent people who have sadly lost their jobs be punished by prison, try like the rest of the civilised world and assist them not punish them, does the islamic religion condemn debt? does it say throw people in prison for losing their jobs? does it say ruin a family and cause severe hardship by punishing people for being made redundant? the answer to all this questions is no! I truly hope in my heart of hearts that the leaders of this beautiful country wake up and join the 21st century, do away with cheques that can be presented any time a bank feels like it and cause distress and suffering! assist those unfortunate enough to lose their jobs and regulate these so called debt collection agencies who are in breach of the harassment laws.

Please address this matter and stop allowing innocent people to lose their families, freedom, and will to live

Rak bank are no better than thieves who couldn't give a monkeys if someone is thrown in jail, whats disappointing here in this so called forgiving society of the uae is that the higher powers just close their ears and eyes and do nothing to stop this happening, innocent people who lose their jobs are thrown in jail, the uae would rater you starve as long as you pay your bak loan off! and they call this a civilised country.

Make complane on consumer court against rak bank recovery dept and also post on each and every social sites for awareness, that do not apply any product with rak bank they are cheater and really don't know how to talk to there royal clients. if by chance you forget to pay only one time your credit card amount they screw your happiness.

Hallo guys, guess what happened to me? I have 0 out standing on my card and have a loan paid on time every month and I normally pay aed 500 extra. one nice day I thought of calling the bank and finding out how much would it cost me to close the loan entirely, the agent miss understood me imagine how an agent can go from "I want to pay" to "I do not want to pay" whatstupid! so one thing led to another, I lodged a complaint went on with my life. another happy day I changed my phone and wanted to register my mobile app, to my surprise the app said the card is invalid, I called customer care and to my surprise the card is blocked :o lol what stupid #! I have a loan of x amount and they blocked a card with no out standing! how dumb are they. so basically whats happened is that the dumb collections agent blocked my card thinking am gonna run of without paying their loan hahahaha. seriously, steer clear of rak even for regular baking requirements.

Does anyone know of any contact at rak bank who has some small amount of common sense as I received the below email today from them, I have not run away I was made redundant and could not make full payment of the minimum due, despite several emails to them they never answered me, then I get an email from some bilkish offering to help come to an amicable solution, now these donkeys claim they have put a gcc wide work ban on me, police case and travel ban, how the hell can I pay them back if I cannot work, are these clowns actually regulated by the uae central bank or do they simply do what they want.

And also central bank black listing is in the process for international travel ban. if customer could manage at least the principle amount prior to 17th of this month we can immediately cancelled all the actions in process and can be removed the legal case has been filed.
