Account opening
This is the worst bank ever! I couldn't agree more with all the bad reviews below. Had 3 times of ugly experience with this bank. First, I applied opening an account at Mussafah branch knowing that some of my keralites colleagues manage to open an account with only below 4000AED salary but they didnt accept my application and said policies depends on which branch (huh! SO ridiculous; means they don't have a unified policy and policies do change in favor of keralites). 2nd, a Rakbank agent, who managed the loan applications of my managers, helped me with the application of account opening (with me having an intent of applying for a loan) and credit card, when I said I won't proceed with the loan application, he only processed my credit card except the account opening. I followed him up for nth time but no luck (he cared only for his quota; phwe!)
Lastly, due to salary increment and can now meet the salary requirement, I applied again for account opening at the same Mussafah branch. That customer service agent at the 2nd floor named Mr. D. Thomas asked for unnecessary requirements and even asked for AED3000 deposit. I argued that I have called the Rakbank hotline for the requirements before going to the bank, and that deposit is not required if you met the salary requirement and if your salary will be transferred in the account. This only implies that processing my account opening application is such a burden for him! What a LAZY and inconsiderate human! D. THOMAS — remember that name!
This bank doesn't have any sense of CUSTOMER SERVICE. They only care to help if you are a KERALITE like them. They don't know how to consider the time and effort of their customers! AFTER THIS INCIDENT I PROMISED NOT TO EVER COME BACK TO THIS BANK WITH WORST EMPLOYEES! YOU DESERVE ZERO STAR!
Disclaimer: The last incident was a blessing in disguise as I was able to open an account at a different bank with only one visit on the same day. My application was processed instantly and got the best bank customer service ever!

Request for Waiving bank charges
I am writing this to you for a consideration in waiving off the charges made on my account

for being late in paying the instalment for the vehicles loan I took from the bank.
I have never before delayed the payments specially in Corona pandemic, as you can check, and have been an upright customer at your bank since a very long time.
I do respect the legal rights of the bank to charge for a delay in payment but this has been a result of the adverse circumstances I am facing presently.
Due to the recent covid 19 pandemic resulting financial hardships, I won't be able to pay charge for a delay. Therefore, I would like to request in waiving off the charges.
The covid 19 pandemic continues to be the main hurdle to my financial restoration efforts, it has significantly reduced my income over the past several months, as the conditions of my current status demands my physical presence.
My status as a customer has been strong ever since I am with RAK bank. I certainly need your support in grow my business I really have submitted all the required documents for company/business account opening with RAK BANK which is now with DIB to acquire facility in coming future inshallah.
I believe RAK bank must support me at a difficult time as this and grant a waiver on the charges allotted to me. This is a onetime request which I believe can be granted to me for the benefactor role I play as an loyal customer to this bank.
I shall be ever grateful if I get an affirmative response for the waiving of bank charges on my account.

police case
I was made redundant late last year. I am now having a job offer for a new job so I can get a visa and continue to work and support my family. Rak bank has done a police case on me? How does one pay installments when not in Job.

So unjustice from Rak. I kept telling them all this time as soon as i get a job you can re start with the payments, yet here i am without a job and a case against me. My job offer will be revoked soon if i dont get the VISA ASAP. As the new firm wants me on board ASAP, else they will hire someone else instead.

I had a credit card with RAK Bank during the pandemic I wasn't able to pay so I requested settlements as I was in deep financial trouble.
After submitting the proof of my financial trouble my credit card settlement was approved by Ms. Madiha from RAK collection Dept.
The settlement was for AED 16, 0000 and the plan was to start the payment from 06/01/2021 and pay it by June 2021.
I have faithfully completed the payment as per the payment plan but it's been almost 2 months since I haven't received any confirmation yet.
I have desperately tried to reach Rak Bank but nobody is helping me out.
I have following with Ms. Madiha & Mr. Abijith.
Please help me to clear this debt so that I can leave the country ASAP.

Credid Card mis used
My credit card no [protected] has been use for purchasing an Airline ticket from Air Arabia last August 26, 2021 amounting to 1, 361.00 which is not belong to me, even the card is with me during that time. Main question is How the transaction proceed without any otp ? dispute form has been submitted on the same date.

Hi this Needa Bi Shaikh I want to make complaint against debt collector I have one due loan past 5 years pending I have getting 100 calls of harassment and abusing the person from derby collection department when I told him to send email conversation he is refusing I told him clearly I will settle the amount in installment which I told him what I will afford n I will clear but that guy raising is voice and threatening me he is saying he come to my office n insult me in front of my staff n manager but he didn't have rights to come in my office n do this when I was continues in touch with him n requesting him to make what I was giving offer if he made any kind of negligence if I will get any problem from my job straight away ill write complain to central ban of the UAE for compensation please corporate with me

Vehicle mortgage release
Humiliated very badly for two months now i have decided to write.
I have 8 vehicles financed by rak bank since 2015, five of them installments are over (they called mature), when i visit them Nihal building collection department for clearance I was shocked to hear completely shock, It was terrible moment for me to hear for 78, 000/- Aed, I was just stunned, after this horrible incident i regain my consciousness and asked them for the statement & details i have told to get it from any branch because they don't have access. when i visit al Qusais branch for statement they did not provide me because there is outstanding then i went to Dragon mart branch they told the same next i went to al quoz branch after distress and arguing with fight they accept my request and i would receive it with in 3 working day by courier i thought my job is done, but what did i know they are going to drag me. After visiting 7 time making a lot of noise in alquoz branch almost one month it took to provide me the statement delay reason was didn't have a contact number with them unfortunately.
Again i reach the collection department nihal bulding to discuss the charges when i show them that i have statement to my surprise they were trying to avoid me, there is one small lady setting on receptiong conter unprofessional, pathetic improper behavior how could lady be like this. I requested her please this is my agreement number inform someone to help me after waiting for more than two hours finally one-person name Narindar sharma called on mobile with improper behavior " yes what you want pay full amount or we know how to take your car and sell" in response I told him please come I am here just look at the statement at once there is some error unfortunately he refused and I started getting torture and he keep shouting at me over the phone same things repeated for two months. Like seriously I am well customer with them since 2013 gave them business & referral them and still no one is listening to me sure they are taking advantage of compulsion.
Now every two days I'm visiting collection department with two blood-pressure tablet to remain stable just because of them I'm BP patient. Nihal bulding rolla branch Sharjah DSO Branch dubai Ras al khaima head office Ras al khaimah branch opp Ansari exchange visit everywhere and very one telling to pay 30% pay 70% pay 50% some of them are very rude and said that I have to pay all or they will file wanted case in Dubai police of all vehicles to confiscated and all that if I do not follow them they going to put more charges so got afraid to stop argued with them anymore.
Mr.Wafiq ( Sharjah branch ) I take my last hope to him but he also come with 30% but in nihal building they told me 50%, in ras al khaimah head office they told 70% it will be totally unfair & injustice if there is only 1 cheque return and has been clear after 6 months and they are forcing and blackmailing Instead of getting a discount, we are just Surviving and they are asking forcfully to pay at any cost or no release for any vehicle. Still we are in crisis pandamic not over yet I was hoping they should be considerate with just a small mistake. I was with them since 2013 I guess this relationship really does not matter from their side but instead they still push you hard to the ground and bleed you more.
Please consider our request we are in very hard bad time please help us in this situation Its humble request please don't play with people emotion for your temporally Benefit.

Incompetent mistake and delay by bank in my loan closure
I had an auto loan with RAK Bank for the past four years. In order for urgent sale of my vehicle due to my job loss, I had done an early loan closure of the entire loan amount on 02/08/2021 at the Tourist Club Branch with Customer Service Agent Ms. Zaineh Hasooni
I received notification only on 05/08/2021 that the application had been received for processing although all of my payment and paperwork was completed on 02/08/2021 (3 days late).
On 04/08/2021, RAK Bank tried to deduct my monthly installment from my ADIB account and of course there was no money in that account due to which I got a call from RAKBANK HQ asking as to why I don't have money in my account for loan monthly payment. This action resulted in a penalty fee for me from my debiting bank due to no funds in the account. RAKBANK has also charged me with a fine for not paying an installment of the loan which I cleared already. RAKBANK Collections Mr. MOHAMMED ISSA also wanted me to provide evidence of my payment of loan which I was not provided with even though I asked the Agent for the same multiple times.
I was told the processing of my loan closure would take 7 days.
Today is 24/08/2021 and I still haven't received any notification that my car loan closure has been processed due to which I have lost buyers who were interested to take my car.
During this time I had visited the Tourist club branch 6 times and called customer service 5 times and no one had any other answer other than its under process.
I had sent 6 emails to customer service with my complaint but not a single person has replied till date
I now find out there was mistake from the bank side by giving me the wrong account number to deposit my loan amount. A silly mistake from the banks side. But till 22 days from the day of the mistake, not a single person has contacted me in any way to fix the matter or inform me of the same or even apologise. Unprofessionalism at its highest.
I went to the branch on 23rd August and the customer service manager tells me he just found out about the issue. I get a call from the complaints department on 23rd August telling me they have received my complaint now and will start an investigation soon.. what were they all doing for past 23 days? What happened to all my email complaints and complaint phone calls that were sent two weeks back
I am incurring serious losses due to this delay and I am losing buyers for my vehicle as well as I have to leave the country in a few days due to job loss. My visa and emirates ID is getting cancelled in 3 days time and I won't be able to sell my car after that legally. I have spent most of my minimal savings that I planned to take back home with me by spending it for unnecessary expenses on the car in the form of renewals, insurances and parking. Now even if they clear the issue, I won't be able to sell the vehicle in time before my visa is cancelled but I'm sure nobody cares about that as it is no longer the Banks problem.
The bank has made the blunder and they are making me, the person who correctly paid off the loan to suffer financially physically and mentally. And they just keep hiding behind automated email replies and ignorant call centers for the past 23 days without dealing with the issue.
Desired outcome: Immediate closure of my loan with immediate issuance of clearance letter

Collection Agency
To whom it may concern,
This is to complain against your collection agency who has scammed me for a settlement plan. I have received a call from RAKBANK collections sometime November 2020 and had offered me a settlement plan for my credit card [protected]. The settlement amount was AED 6900 which we have agreed for 5 installments. The confirmation email from the bank was received, initially the agent whom I have been in contact with, named Drishti whom I believe from derby collections told me that I have to pay AED 1300 for 5 mos, that time I was having 1120 since I was told that this is the minimum amount that I should pay so we can proceed. And which I did, I went to pay the amount (1120 AED). When I was in the machine, 1 10AED note was not accepted by the machine so I deposited 1110 AED and sent the receipt to agent. She told me that it is not enough and that I have to put the 10aed balance immediately, I couldn't do that since my home is far away from the machine and I cannot go back so soon, so what she did, she asked me to transfer the 10aed to her personal account and she was the one who deposited the money in the machine. Attached is the receipt as a proof and also the proof of our conversation. After that, the agent told me to pay 1480 on 11th of december. And I followed the instructions, I paid 1500 AED instead on 9th december 2020 (attached is the receipt). Dristhti informed me through call and message that she was able to negotiate with the bank, I was informed that instad of AED 6900 she was able to bring it down to AED6500 AED, for that reason I only have to pay AED1300 for the following months which I followed. On 11th of January 2021 I deposited 1300 AED, 10th of February 2021 I deposited 1300 AED, 10th of March another 1300 AED and a call was received from the collection agent saying that I am done and now completed my settlement plan and just wait for the clearance. To my surprise, I got a call from another agent on April 2021 saying that I have to pay and all that I did not follow the settlement plan. So I argued with them many times, all those harassment calls that I received even at night, at work, I can say all the time, even calling me unprofessional, shouting at me over the phone. Then they asked me again to deposit 100aed so I can get my clearance and asked to send the receipt to the email who sent the settlement letter. So I forwarded the receipt, waiting for the settlement. And nothing happened. I started getting torture calls from same agency, derby collections claiming that I did not pay according to the settlement plan and that I have to pay all over again and they will send me a new settlement plan. This is totally unfair as I finished already and followed every instruction that they told me. Until now they are threatening me, calling me so many times, threatening to visit my office to put me in shame, calling my old Mother back home and harassing her. This is totally unacceptable and a scam. I have attached all the receipts for your reference and willing to visit your office to show proof of conversations and voice note from their agent. I hope that rakbank will help me settle this because I am a victim of your outsourced collection agency and this might what they have been doing as well to your other clients. It is too unfair and torture to us and they make also our families worry. I am requesting rakbank to clear this issue immediately or else I will do what I have to do and sue the ones involved.
Please consider hearing us/me because the money used to pay is hard earned money and not just picked up somewhere. I am willing to visit your office so we can discuss this further. I have followed all instructions given to me so I can clear this up but this is now what happened. Instead of getting a discount through settlement plan, now you want me to pay double. This is totally unfair. You are not being human. Please look into this matter because I will never ever stop fighting for my right whatever it takes. I will make sure that I will be heard and will bring it to any platform even in social media just to stop this scam of your outsources collection agency.

Credit card settlement
I have 2 accounts from RAKBANK a credit card and an instant money loan in fairness they give me both settlements from my 2 accounts. I was with them seen 22.06.2017. Just because COVID happens things getting harder to manage the accounts. I have a credit card settlement from RAKBANK amounting to 7500.00 AED payable in 5 months starting 10.11.2020 and my issue starts 08.01.2021 when I make a mistake instead deposit an amount of 1600.00. I wrongfully deposit an amount of 840.00 AED which is intended to my the account. Just for the record every month before your due comes a collecting officer to reminds you. I have raised the issue and in the beginning, we communicated in watts app messages and he stops replying. I continue paying the settlement until I have finished it all.
I was shocked that I still have pending from the account considering I have all the receipts and exchange messages from their 2 collecting officer which she confirming if I pay the balance of 850.00 AED from the date of 08.01.2021. Everything will be settled and closed and clearance will be released. Sad to say it didn't happen even I have paid more for the settlement. I visit the collection department of Rankbank and to my surprise, they are offering me again another settlement. My question in my mind is what happened to the first settlement of 8000.00 that I have paid what the officer said it goes to the interest and I requested a computation but they can't provide anything.
I was hoping they should be considerate with just a small mistake. I was with them since 2017 I guess this relationship really does not matter from their side but instead they still push you hard to the ground and bleed you more.

I have had the Rak bank credit card since 2016 which was supposed to be settled in 1 year as decided and signed.after plenty of complains and proofs I was alarmed to see they have been charging me for 17 months when it was agreed and signed for 12 months.
The bank used third party collection services which act fraudulently using different designations every time an email is sent.I will raise this issue to the central bank with all the proofs and emails of fraud, deceit and malpractices used by these in the name of the bank.

Hello, I lost my job 9 months ago due to pandemic and. I have been unemployed for 9 months. Recently I gave an interview and got selected. I have been sending email to rakbank that I will receive my offer letter next week and I am going to visit rakbank to reschedule my loan. I am not refusing to repay the amount but if I don't have any source of income since 9 months then how I am gonna pay the amount?. Today I received an email from collection department that they have already files a police case against my name. Like seriously I am providing them with proof that I am unemployed and still no one is listening to me.

Need support on bank account opening. Not done in 60 days time
We had established our company in Dubai mainland in the name of ZEST SCM FOOD SUPPLEMENT TRADING LLC in the month of Feb 2021.
Post completion of all the formalities of Emirates id we proceeded to initiate the Corporate account opening process with RAK at the Oudh Metha branch on 25th March 2021.
All the necessary documents were submitted and the formalities of signing was completed by 2 signing authorities Myself (Soumya Putatunda) and Mr. Joe Joseph Anthraper (marked in cc)
As the emirates id was received after 15 days, hence the ID's were also taken and physically verified to the Banker we were dealing with.
Suddenly after 2 weeks when we were following with the Banker, came to know that Shuraa document (POA and MOA of the emirati) is required. I immediately got the details and shared with the Banker.
The banker insisted on the originals, I requested him if he / any other Bank representative could go to the Business set up consultants office and get the same verified as the Address verification was also not done earlier (was told not required).
But after several requests the banker refused to go and said it is not my Duty. Also, to note as I understand in these cases, it is the banker who visits the office to get the documents checked as original documents of the emirati is not sent to any bank branch. Not sure if iam correct in my understanding.
Our earnest request here is to help get the account activated. We have started the sales n distribution of our products in Dubai but will not be able to complete the financial transaction.

Rak bank credit card
I am totally disappointed by my RAK bank credit card.
My credit card limit is 3k. when the last statement generated my outstanding was 2986.18 AED and due date is 11-May-2021. I paid 2604 AED before the due date. The next statement generated on 16-May-2021, they charged 162.23 as financial charges. I was shocked and called the customer service and their response was really pathetic. They are saying its charged 3.45% interest and refuse to provide a details statement showing the interest amount.
For non paying 300 AED they charging 162 AED as interest. I do have other bank credit card, they are charging only for non paid amount.

They have been cheating since one year, not sure how many type of charges they put on my card, how many policies they opened themselves. The moment you call customer service to cancel everything, no one will call and they claimed they called. Lying people. I have requested to cancell my card also but still not done. After long years of having Rak bank card you end up paying also for cancellations. Not sure who will help

This Kadhar Syed Ahamed I'm working before as a School bus driver & transport coordinator in school transport services (STSS) more than 17yars. and last year April 2020 the company is reduce my salary 50% (because of covid-19)
Around AED: 2400/- but I have personal loan in RAK bank .so I can't manage this salary so decide searching author job and resign my job. I got it author job .my previous company transfer my final gratuity in bank. But bank is holding my gratuity and bank saying. you submit your new employment detail passport new visa detail and emirates id, salary transfer letter. and also, one salary will be transferred in our bank after that only we release your gratuity Amount (AED: 39, 921.00)
I submitted the entire document in RAK bank in oud mattha branch. and my march & April salary also transfer on 07th April & 2nd May 2021 but still bank is not released my amount, I went RAK bank oud mattha branch so many times and I ask why not released my amount ...? but no one given any response.
That money is very important for me I have lost of commitment, I have local credits, room rent last 6-month, Etisalat bill payment pending, and home country also house rent pending, and I have 2 children. Children education fee pending. And much more credit pending. Lots of pressure in my life. but the bank is not released my amount.
Please...please... please... if it's possible please advice the bank released my amount it's my humble... humble request...please help me sir,

I humbly need your help since I have been requesting your collection dept to reconsider my credit card due to convert it into loan since I got 1 month delayed due to the lost of my job now the min amount with the interest is too much and I cant afford to pay the full min amount cause untill now I didnt find job cause my visa still not cancelled from the previous company and for now am just doing partime just to survive and eventhough I lost my job more than a year now am still trying to pay my min due. I was just wondering why the credit limit is getting more even I pay my monthly min due. Then I came to know from your agent that I must pay more than my min due so ill not get any credit limit charge. I need your help to reconstruct and divert my 5, 000 credit card that now reached to 7, 000 which I dont know why I just have 1 month delayed to convert it into loan which ill be having a fixed amount to be paid. Complaint about unable to get my money back from bank
I Paul kouaho being a RAK bank customer for 2years now...recently my account was closed without any prior notice or any mail, then I called the customer service and I was told the manager cheque would be delivered in which it was delivered... so I went to the branch to cash my balance which is 32, 986dirham unfortunately I was told that the cheque is account payer only and I don't have any other bank account apart your RAK bank...I don't know why I have to go through stress to take my money back..this is totally unfair and I don't have any bank account to deposit this cheque, my visa is going to expire next week and traveling back to my country, my boss has already booked my flight that's 04 may 2021...my contract is finished already so, how would you expect me to go and open another account just because I want to get my money back, this is totally unfair and I know my right... please kindly treat this situation with urgency because I don't have much time... I WANT MY MONEY BACK . Is this how you treat your customers?

My credit card was blocked by RAK bank 1 year back with no prior notice. Still chasing the bank as I have 1000 AED cash back to be redeemed. I called contact centre and visited branch multiple times and till date there is no solution. If I close my account I will lose my cash back and If I keep it bank will deduct the unredeemed amount. Help...
