This company was super easy to work with and very professional, and yet we felt like we were the only ones they were dealing with. They were done with my roof in 2 days and did an excellent clean up job. The team member was amazing and super friendly. He knows everything for any question you throw at him. He was there when our adjuster came which was vital to our approval. The staff was prompt in their arrival, worked until the job was completed & cleaned up better than I could have anticipated. This roofing company is outstanding. They did all of the negotiations with my insurance company. They were efficient, worked quickly and cleaned up all trash. They checked my yard with two huge magnets to make sure they did not leave any nails behind. The project manager walked me through all the details and how it worked with the insurance company. He was on site several times to make sure the job was going well. I would recommend this company for anyone needing a new roof.

The new roof installed was done quickly and professionally! The owner, John Smith, walked us through the whole process with his wealth of knowledge and his dealings with our insurance company! John explained the type of shingle we were getting and its durability. The clean up was done completely with no nails left behind! I'm a single and honest woman that works hard for my money & I was happy when RDU helped me get a new roof in June . They worked well with me paying them. But in August I started getting ugly water spots on my bedroom ceiling after rainy days & I got in touch with the company and sent pictures. I was told someone would come to check it out. I've called numerous times getting a response that someone is coming. Now here it is December and I'm still waking up in the mornings to these ugly spots that weren't on my ceiling before my new roof & this is very frustrating!

RDU roofing was fantastic with no pressure from beginning to end of the process. They jumped on the roof, saw my damage and took pictures, showed me their findings and let me think about what I wanted to do. A couple days later I made the brilliant decision to have RDU do my roof replacement because I was getting architectural shingles from them at NO UPGRADE CHARGE which no other company was offering. Since then they have been my ambassador every step of the way; from my insurance company to my HOA, and they have made sure I'm updated every step of the way so there is no confusion or miscommunication. Specific to the replacement; they called on a Thursday and asked if Saturday was good. I was shocked it was going to happen so quickly and said let's do it! They started work about 7am Saturday and were done and completely cleaned up by 3pm. Happy to have a solid and new roof again and appreciate everything RDU did for me. 5 stars w/out question.

1st I want to say I am a veteran, a single women, and believe your word is your bond. I want to say these guys are honest and work with integrity. In the beginning I was thinking all the money would come out of pocket, I was thinking I would have to take out a loan, I was getting 6-7 quotes in a 4 day period. I had already seen 4 and then RDU Roofing rep [insert name] pulled in my drive way. Bye this time I had quotes from 7k to 15k but this rep assured me he would fight on my behalf with the insurence company and they would pick up my Roofing costs. He got on roof and said oh yes the insurance will pay because significant wind/ hail damage. We went inside he was my advocate and immediately I was relieved and I trust this company. The roof was replaced even before I had the funds in hand to give them. They made me feel like I was top priority. Within a few days the roof was put on from the initial phone call. It was replaced in 1 day, exceptional work, and looks awesome. They have truly exceeded my expectations, I am pleased. If you choose these guys you will not be disappointed.

Bottom line... RDU Roofing focuses on supporting the homeowner and doing professional work.

The claim specialist came out and took a look at my roof and found plenty of hail damage and some wind damage, and I joined him as I like to learn. As soon as were down from the roof, we discussed the situation and he dialed the claim service agent for my home ins and had her on speaker phone. He knew the lingo, while I answered basic questions. Then boom, my first ever claim was filed.

Then the inspector came out, and the RDU specialist made it a priority to be there too. The inspector submitted his report to the insurance adjuster.

Soon, we were notified that I will be covered for a "complete roof replacement", and they provided a "letter of explanation" showing what would be covered as line items. Even though items weren't perfect, the RDU specialist explained that the process of supplements or modifications to the insurance claim is normal to hammer out between RDU and the insurance company.

However, RDU didn't wait to resolve that before replacing the roof because they knew the interior damage was worsening with every rain event. My roof looks great, we finally have NO LEAKING!

However, it appears my insurance company is being extremely difficult to work with for RDU to pay for items that I believe should be paid for. For example, the letter listed 3-tab shingled to tear out and replace. We had architectural shingles, and that's what it was replaced with. From the beginning, RDU assured me that I'd only be obligated to pay the deductible and not a penny more. AND they're stick by that even though they may take a loss (yes, it's still ongoing). If my insurance doesn't come through for them/me, I'll voluntarily pay a bit more to help out RDU, and I may reevaluate my insurance carrier. BUT they were willing to take a loss to protect the homeowner, and fixed my roof ASAP. So, yeah, 5 stars.

RDU Roofing stepped in for us in the midst of a bad situation. We were insured by a carrier that is notorious for denying roof claims. In our case, they were willing to replace only 50 wind-damaged shingles (on an 18-year-old roof). However, four neighbors (the two on either side and two immediately across the street) with roofs of similar age had their roofs replaced by their insurance after sustaining less damage from the same storm. The contractor who had inspected our roof and filed our claim said that they would negotiate with our insurance and were confident that they could overturn the denied claim. However, they gave priority to the claims that were readily accepted by insurance but sat on their hands for over three months with our claim. RDU Roofing was willing to pick up the fight with our insurance, knowing that it would be an uphill battle. Following the advice of the insurance adjuster, RDU inspected our roof (on what happened to be an extremely hot day), looking meticulously for hail damage to add to the existing claim. But then our claim was transferred to a different adjuster who not only denied that the damage was hail-related, but also insisted (without proof) that the damage had occurred more recently and therefore could not be applied to the same claim. Furthermore, we would have to pay another deductible if we filed a new claim. While we were still fighting with our insurance, another hailstorm struck. RDU inspected the roof again, found extensive hail damage, and filed a new claim for us. This time our insurance readily agreed to replace our roof. However, they wrote an estimate that was really low, even after deductibles and previous insurance payments had been added back in. By this time, we had been fighting our insurance company for over six months, and RDU had been fighting with us for nearly three months. Rather than negotiating for a more reasonable insurance settlement, which would have caused further delay, RDU went ahead and replaced our roof as soon as possible. How commendable that they were more concerned about taking care of us than they were about their own profits! They also upgraded us from the 3-tab shingles (stated on the insurance estimate) to the higher quality architectural shingles at no further cost to us. I was extremely pleased in how quickly they scheduled our project, with the new roof being installed within two weeks of the adjuster's inspection. RDU never asked me to sign a contingency agreement. The only paperwork I had to sign was the actual contract, which was drafted only a few days before the work was done. I also point out that RDU Roofing is a locally owned company (I met the owner in the process) and all work is done by company employees, not by subcontracted labor. I can't say enough good things about the claims specialist. In addition to his persistence with our insurance company, he was very courteous and knowledgeable, acted in the most professional manner, and always returned messages promptly. The entire roofing job was done in one day. The workers were competent and courteous, and did a really good job. They used a generous number of tarps to protect the house, plants, the patio, etc. They did an excellent job of cleaning up; including using a magnet to collect nails, and blowing the leaves off the patio that were there before they started. They did not leave a sign in our yard (using their client as free advertising) as many contractors do. In conclusion, I highly recommend this company!
