Empty promises. That's the management style of Real Tour Vision (RTV )for you.
And if Jason ever gets hit by a truck, there is no more RTV.
Cheryl was their marketing professional and she left a year ago. Jason's probably the only guy left at the firm now. What happens to my tours if he leaves or gets sick? Who services my account and the real estate agents that depend on me? One man does all of this?
That would explain why when I have to call more than ten times to get a reply. This is not professional.
Meanwhile, my customers suffer by waiting when I need answers. I was promised leads. I was also promised by Jason he would not put too many RTV dealers in my area. It's always some lame excuse why I'm not getting leads. And my so called RTV dealer website really sucks the big one. Is black the only color this comes in? Really?
The management style at RTV is childish at best. No wonder Cheryl Waller left. She was the only good thing left at RTV. Her stuff was great a few years ago. But today... we need good marketing solutions for Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter. Where's my so called marketing help for these advertising channels? Hello in Traverse City... is anybody home?
When Jason is *IN* a good mood, I can buy tours for $10. When he's in a bad mood or needs money, the tours cost $20. Professional firms do not operate like this. Why can't I buy all the hosting I want for a flat fee every month like $140 bucks or so? I'd go for that in a New York second. I'm sure a lot of other RTV dealers would too. The recession is here, dude. Real estate agents don't have a lot of money.
Can I host tours on my own? No way, Jose. Other firms let me do that. Why do I have to keep pre-buying credits for my tours? I've got a few hundred dollars of tours here and I'm gonna have to flush them since you won't let me sell them back to you. This is not good customer service, man.
Your software is licensed from Panavue and it doesn't run on a Mac. RTV software eh? Lies. Complete ###.
The sad thing is... RTV used to be a nice company. But they haven't kept up with change and the service isn't what it used to be. I'm an RTV dealer and should be better taken care of -- but I'm not.
The old java tours are small and these were fine for a few years. But their new HD tour version is a joke. Panosolado Open Source tours? Oh my God. Are you kidding me? This is what I had to wait for? This is new and improved? QRCodes? My old fart agents have no frigging clue how to use the smart phone, let alone hold it over a stupid squiggly and click the button.
I'm leaving RTV and I'm headed out on my own. My advice to anyone thinking of going to RTV... don't waste your time or your money. There are much better choices out there and pinning your entire business model on a one man operation is just another train wreck waiting to happen.
And when Jason says you are going to get paid on a gig, that's another lie. I waited two months to get paid. Go to Hell Jason. You suck.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
“This is obviously a competitor posting this about RTV. I have been working with RTV for almost 10 years and have not experienced any thing like what they are saying. RTV has always had a remote host solution….most likely before anyone else did too. They also have always had the same simple per tour pricing packages to choose from. Just one more reason I agree that this is VPIX just upset that RTV gets their dealers from them. By the way…I find it pretty odd that anyone other than a competitor would ever know the underlying tour technology used for programming the RTV tour player. I’m a web developer and had to ask Ben at RTV what the heck “Panosolado Open Source tours” was. Good luck VPIX! Oh by the way…RTV has 32 national accounts UNDER CONTRCT. How many do you have? None…that’s what I thought.
Bashing another company or someone else makes you and your business look even worse. If you aren't happy, just leave and move on. Your work should speak for itself. RTV may have to tweak a few things, but is vpix360 perfect? Isn't that who you promote? Companies progress at different rates and make changes. There are many attributes that you don't even touch on that make this sound one-sided.
Much success in your endeavors with your new business and may what you're looking for find you.
I read the complaint posted about RTV and find it a little over the top. First of all I am a dealer with RTV and I tried to work with Vpix - it cost me a bundle to pick up the equipment required for the 360x360 panoramas with Vpix. When I started with Vpix I was sold on a Kayya (not sure of the spelling as it's not on the site anymore) real estate system. It was a hoax and I never got to use it. It was never available and that was the only reason I joined Vpix. Let's not bring Cheryl into this let's just compare the two virtual tour companies. As for the open source tours, what the heck is “Panosolado Open Source tours” or is this something to confuse us with? Let's all make up something to go along with the BS this person spewed, how about PanoPixBScrap?
The comments in the complaint are so far off it is a joke. Sure Jason can be hard to catch, what manager isn't? Support? Let me tell you about the Vpix support. How about $150 an hour for support that you should get for free! RTV has weekly meetings and you can join them for free! Wow what a concept! FREE!
Look at the pricing for Vpix, seems like they changed the pricing structure AGAIN! It's a joke for anyone to complain about RTV and not Vpix. I have looked at almost all the virtual tour companies and find that RTV is the only one for me. Go ahead and spend some time with Vpix and see for yourself how crappy they are, then you will know for sure. Don't take my advice - spend your hard earned money on the Vpix system, listen to all the promises from Vpix - about how they will send work your way. It won't take long before you know for sure what company you will end up with. It wont take long before you sort through the BS from Vpix. The only way you will know for sure is to try them out, get ready to spend a few thousand dollars for your learning experience. It will be worth it, after all is said and done you will know what virtual tour company you want to work with.
I did and I'm back to Real Tour Vision.
Sounds like sour grapes to me. I'm sorry you werent able to make a "go" of it but not surprised...anyone who calls his potential clients "OLD FART AGENTS" is NOT going get their business. Go find another line of work. Swasson in Springfield
deshaun you must really be regretting your decision now. The new Fusion platform from RTV is astounding. The user experience for dealers and their customers is easy, streamlined and professional. The functionality and deliverables quite simply are a league above the competition. I could not say enough good things about the staff and support I have received.
My husband and I used the voyager or vpix system for a couple years here in Florida. It would not surprise me at all if this was Bart or associate writing a fake complaint about RTV. It sounds JUST like them! When we were looking at who to use we made a very big mistake and went with the Voyager360 virtual tour system. Before talking to RTV we told Bart at voyager that we were wanted to look at RTV too and he had nothing but horrible things to say about RTV. The trash talk was thick. He said they would lie to us, they would not pay us for jobs, that they did not have real technology, that they only had one employee left before going out of business, and that they would nickel and dime us on marketing and support. Unfortunately we believed everything he said. Needless to say, we joined Bart’s so-called network and about five thousand dollars later, striped of our identity, nearly broke, very few clients and no website left up to show for it, we finally made the switch over to RTV. Today, we could not be happier and the vpix chapter is far behind us.
We should have never listened to Bart and wish we would have done a little more homework before making the decision. RTV connects us with all of their other providers, are extremely open, have an amazing support team and we work together as a team. They always pay us for doing shoots for their national accounts within 30 days of completion, and we’ve never been charged for added support or attending their extended education classes. Bart at voyager always said he was a couple days away from getting his first national account and his “huge” network of professional photographers was never seen. Around and around we went for so many years until one day we ran into a couple on vacation from TN who had just left the vpix system and switched over to RTV. They said they had talked to several others in our boat who had converted from vpix to RTV and that their experience with RTV had been AMAZING. They then told us about an RTV convention was coming up and we were completely sold.
We called RTV right away and got on board with them. While attending the convention we met hundreds of others who are part of the network and today my husband and I have our OWN personal brand of virtual tours. We have already doubled our business and have shot a few of their national accounts for them. If you’re thinking of doing virtual tours you really must talk to RTV. Don’t make the same mistake we did and only call one company. Talk to RTV and if you ask I’m sure they’ll put you in touch with me or several others who have used voyager or vpix in the past. Hope to see you in the RTV group! – G in FL
Even though he was a little over the top, he was telling the truth. I am an ex dealer, who lost 2500 dollars and got no leads, jobs or whatsoever. Also my market was flooded with other dealers. I was sent one tour track job in two years. Also, all of my tour credits magically disappeared, with no refund. The software is amazing and the tours look great, but the market is too crowded to make any money.
We opened Photos Sell, real estate photography in January 2015. I found RTV during a search for a portal site so I could send high res images over the internet to my customers. When I called this company I was greeted by the owner himself. Jason LaVanture. Jason explained what RTV was about and what they can do for my new business. Great customer service, training, high res Virtual Tours and much, much more. After I signed up I got all of the above and much, much more. I received excellent training on the system. Instant help from customer support almost never got a voice mail and when I did they always got right back to me ASAP. The product is like nothing else, it set me apart from my competition. Look if your pictures are not good, they will no look good on any medium. I now work for 35 agents and exclusive with two large Brokers in our area. I am busy as hell. I read the complaints on this company and my response to those who complained is: you can't make a living off the leads you get for RTV. You need to market you self, have a great product and provide great customer service. Look, I am no one special to RTV, just a customer and I have received outstanding service, their web portal works flawlessly and is easy to use and navigate. I can pickup the phone and speak to the Owner any time, he is a great resource and can be depended upon should you have a problem! Thank you RTV. I prefer not be anonymizes: George Pulizzano, Photos Sell, Tampa, Florida.
I paid 4000 for the D-7100. I have had 4 people with no camera experience to try to learn this camera 1 with 2 master’s degrees and as hard as we have tried we can NOT get this. I should have paid another 1000 and went with your competitor. I am so discouraged with this its unbelievable. I think anyone new should be warned about it. I regret this purchase and should not have trusted the advertisement.
RTV doesn't sell cameras so I believe this comment is for another company. A few observations, though. If you paid $4K for a Nikon D7100, you got ripped off. When you could buy them new at Costco they were only $1300 for the kit with two lenses. Also, the camera is really not that complicated. I watched a $29 video by John Greengo on CreativeLive.com and I was all set - I just reference the user manual here and there when I need to. It's a great camera if you find some quality instruction and have a bit of patience.
RTV has been excellent to work with, so I'm more than surprised to even see them on this site. I can't stress enough that this complaint is the exact opposite of what I've experienced with RTV.
I tried a few other virtual tour sites for my real estate media. The quality of one was sub-par and lacked the support I get with RTV and the other looked awesome but I couldn't get a response and gave up.
When I signed up for RTV I was not happy about the $100 to start but figured it was worth it if I found the right platform. I am happy to say it was more that worth it. The platform is about 75%-80% where I'd like to see it, but they are constantly upgrading and improving it so I'm confident it's getting better all the time. Jason and team - yes I said TEAM - are excellent to deal with. I'm worked with two different support folks as well as with Jason himself with issues. They have always responded within a day to my emails, and have picked up right away when I've called. I've also gotten one lead from them, so I know they exist. The cost of tours is low, and it's not TOO hard to figure out the system. If you can't, you aren't using the many, many self help videos or one on one support they offer by email or phone.
Getting leads is great, but if you sign up planning on all your business coming from RTV then you are going to be disappointed. This isn't a business in a box, it's a tool to help your real estate photography stand out by helping real estate agents, hospitality and others to market their properties.
Simply put - the complaint above is way off. This person had very unrealistic expectations and is (in my opinion) too lazy to master the tools or do their own marketing. It's a fact that unsuccessful people often blame others for their shortcomings. That's assuming, of course that this complaint is even real. I suspect it isn't.
