I just had a new system installed after the 8-yr-old one was found non-functional after another trip. Michael tried the fixes that had worked previously, to no avail, and ultimately discovered that the coil had sprung a refrigerant leak. He was unable to repair it, and the next day, when he had to top the thing off again, I decided not to sink any more money into a losing proposition. The installation consultant was informative, with no pressure to buy the higher-priced system. The company refunded me everything I had spent to date. Jesus and his partner did the actual switch-out the following day, and it went very smoothly.

This business took advantage of a disabled older woman and charged 800. Just to replace a faucet and sprayer in my kitchen sink. Outrageous! A friend had the same service with a reputable company and was charged 250. , Which is usual and standard cost. When I questioned the price, I was told it depends on how long the job took. Apparently I was billed for the time it took the technician to run to home Depot and get a needed part. I was not home for the repair as I was caring for an aunt who had a stroke. My disabled son was there. In my defense over how I could be so stupid to accept and pay such an outrageous price, I was dealing with a family emergency. This company is taking advantage of people by inflating their prices. I would never use them again.

My AC died on a Saturday night and my company that had installed the original AC doesn't do weekend calls. Scott was at my house on Sunday in 45 minutes. News was not good but Eric was there in an hr. to go over options with me. He was very patient and worked out a payment plan I could handle. 8:30am Monday Adam with Alberto was there to start ripping out the old and putting in the new. They were there for almost 12 hrs. in my sweltering attic working non-stop and did not leave until I had a working AC. Next day they came back and cleaned all my ducts. Today I had two more gentlemen to spray foam insulation in my attic. Unfortunately, I did not get their names but they were so nice and so polite and cleaned up spotless after they left. This company is awesome and their employees are awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone and all my friends.
They did a very good job on my sisters home and I will recommend them again. I recommended them to my sister , They did the same thing for me 2 years ago and I was so impressed with the way everything was done.

Expert in plumbing! Changed out a water heater, replaced under cabinet valves, fixed an outside emergency leak, replaced a bathroom tub faucet cartridge and kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. Very reasonable -used my newly purchased homeowner's plan and saved a bundle of money and got a 10% senior discount as advertised. I would highly recommend Red Cap Plumbing with ultimate confidence! Angel, Tony & crew were awesome! They sent me a text before coming and came on time. They all worked very so hard from almost 8AM to a little after 4PM in this Florida heat. The whole crew worked the entire time only stopping for a quick bite to eat. I felt so bad for them and so appreciate what they all have to do to make sure I'm taken care of. They are to return to finish the 2 day job. Red Cap is excellent. I've have great experiences each time they've been out. I've felt very comfortable around all of the employees while they have been in my home. Thank you guys!
Red Cap Plumbing & Air should be your first call if you have plumbing or HVAC issues. I bought an older house and had to have work on both. They are dependable, reliable and do great work. Most of all their technicians are great! They explain my options and work with me about both the cost and the amount of work that needs to be done. I completely depend on them and highly recommend them.

I hired a them to install a trutankless water heater and water softener. They gave me a quote of 6800 which included replacing main water valve. I thought the price was too high but signed the contract hoping that at least it would be done right. Unfortunately, on the day of installation, their electrician found out that my main service panel was not big enough so he would not pull the permit unless I upgrade service to 125 amp. He quoted about 2700. Red Cap only offered to gave me a discount of 250 on their quote and installed a garbage disposal for free. I had to pay that additional 2700 on top of 6550. Red Cap's oversight in planning cost me additional 2450 that I didn't have and had to pay with credit card while Red Cap made a profit of at least 1500 by my estimate. The heater was worth 1300 and water softener was worth about 1000.

I had a back up in one of my two bathrooms. I called Redcap and they were able to get a tech out the same say. He was very professional and courteous however very inexperienced. He stated it would be $300 to clear the clog causing the back up. To summarize, he was unsuccessful at clearing the clog, he called another tech to put a camera in the line, but did not help as he could not see what was causing the clog. They began stating potential issues, "collapsed pipe" "cutting concrete" "replacing entire line" and to get it diagnosed would cost $4,000. I could sense their inexperience so I denied further service and went on to charge me $300. I said that we agreed to $300 to clear the clog which he did NOT, I was left with more questions than answers and MINUS $300.
Here is the KICKER! After watching him, I thought, I can do this myself. I went to Home Depot the following day, rented a snake and cleared the clog MYSELF with 0 experience as plumber, by trying different attachments (he only tried one).
What an amazing and efficient company, tech took time to explain all options with pricing. Thank you very much.
Finding out we needed to replace our 10 year hot water tank on 03/15/2022 I contacted Red Cap. I informed customer service I needed a 40 gallon tank and my husband and I would remove the old tank. Christopher V. was our technician provided the price of $2,521.00 to replace the tank. Later that day I viewed Home Depot's website and found the same Reem 40 gallon hot water tank for$ 800.00. The following day 03/16/2022 I contacted Red Cap to speak with supervisor Dale in plumbing requesting an itemized bill. He informed me Red Cap does not do itemized bills. Dale was rather rude and implied "That's what we charge " then the line dropped. I called back to find out he could not take my call, eventually calling me back. I let him know I was dissatisfied with the price upon what Home Depot offered for the same tank, and we removed the old one. He said he would look into my issue and see what he could do. I contacted Red Cap 03/25/2022 to speak with Dale. He offered me $150.00 and would refund my card. I followed up on 04/04/2022 when I received my card statement and no refund. Again another call to Red Cap to speak with Dale. Unable to speak with him, I was told the
credit would be on my account by 04/11/2022. The credit was posted on 04/05/202. I feel Red Cap is a Price Gouging Company with no break down information on their pricing. I was TRIPLE charged for a Hot Water Tank !
Red Cap Plumbing is an honest company that offers fair pricing and does exceptional work while offering excellent and professional customer service! I am on the monthly membership program and it is well worth the money. Kevin Romero completed my annual plumbing service and was extremely thorough and professional. I have used this company multiple times for my plumbing needs and have been very happy with their work every time! I even had Red Cap repipe my previous home in South Tampa, and Red Cap's plumbing work was excellent and past final inspection on the first visit with no errors flagged by the inspector! I highly recommend this great company!

The tech set a date and time to install a new shower faucet at the agreed price which was $981.00 . The tech came back that day to start working but my husband had to fill out an application for credit because I was not home and then the tech turned to my husband and said no we cannot do the job and would say why he just walked out with no reason at all so that left us with a faucet/tub situation and . When my husband called them back they said it is out of their hands they have a third party doing the financing . Let me explain how great our credit is we just bought a new Honda Civic with a hand shake . I will never recommend this company to anyone. Our neighbors asked how Red Cap Plumbing did and we said terrible .

Patrick with Red Cap Plumbing was timely, professional and has a great personality. Originally, he was called out to do a water heater repair. I had other major problems from a leaking flood from a washer in my house and he was able to replace the washer box right then and there. Then the 25 cent piece of plastic the builder put in snapped off in my hands from the Florida heat so I couldn't turn my water off. He fixed the "privacy turn off valve and pipe" into the house, so he fixed 3 different major repairs in a matter of a few hours. All prices are charged by the book. You know up front what it is going to cost you. No surprises. They have many coupons on their website and Wednesday's are their 10% off senior citizens discount. No hassle. Smoothest repairs i have experienced ever. He cleaned up the minimal mess made which was necessary. I highly recommend Red Cap and Patrick (an awesome employee and asset to Red Cap Plumbing) even Costco backs Red Cap!

Had a AC Tech/ sales guy show up for an estimate without a mask. At first I did not have mine with me but kept a safe distance and showed him around. He goes up into the attic, comes back down and sees me with my mask on. He says," Oh , what are you "paranoid" about that Covid 19 virus"? I explained my wife had an auto immune deficiency, and was trying to be careful. Then he pulls a mask out of his pocket!? Strike one. Reviewed Co. website which claims all these Covid precautions! He was not friendly, an did not have any customer service skills in my opinion. Comes right out and says, It's 5,000. firm for 2 ton system. I said I want a 1.5 ton , 15.5 SEER . He's adamant about it has to be a 2 ton 16 seer. Strike two. Then asks when I want to have it done cause maybe if it's right away , he might come down. I said, what does that have to do with ANYTHING?! He tried to be macho and aggressive in negotiations. Strike three. You are OUT ! Forget them. They can beg for my business now! He also said he would send me a written estimate via email.. It's been over a week...NOTHING !

While prompt to respond in most cases, my issues with them are several. I purchased a new A/C system from them in 2017. It was for a total replacement of the home system. YET, 3 years later I had a pump failure in my house that caused flooding and water damage on both floors of my home. It turns out they never replaced the pump when they installed my new system because they said the old one was working. I had never had a claim in my insurance for 27 years until then and then they made me py for a new pump. if that wasn't enough, I currently had a major leak coming from a toilet they installed along with a bidet that the leak detection team that I had from another company (who was $100 less than they quoted) said that the leak had been there for quite some time. Red cap just did a plumbing inspection in March and never even checked that there could be an issue with that toilet. I'm done with them as now I have another disaster 10 months after the last one and both were as a result of Red Cap equipment and installation. Please don't use them if you are counting on a good and honest job.

I had a multiple of small plumbing issues, so my husband bought their whole house plan, when they came, Kyle H. fixed all the little stuff - water not turning off at the faucet all the way when you switch to the handheld shower, the kitchen sink faucet pull out wouldn't pull out, fixed the hose drippy doddle thing (so not a techy with this stuff) fixed an under the sink leaking pipe, checked the water heater, found out it wasn't set right, got it right and found a leak in the guest room shower and fixed it!
We've had a "bridge" in the water softer and nothing but problems with it. (It's time to throw the towel in when the tech assist line recognizes your voice). We wind up putting in a whole house water purifier and water softener system in and love it. No more refrigerator filters, love using less soap in the washing machine and dishwasher! My hair comes out so much softer now! Great experience! Would highly recommend Red Cap Plumbing & Air, particularly Kyle H, he had the solutions when other plumbers that have worked on things were perplexed and just tried to jack up prices. 5 stars from the Overly's!

I AM DONE WITH RED CAP! Chose Red Cap to replace old a/c and duct work. Worst mistake ever! The team they sent out seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Installed ductwork improperly, and put two large holes in my ceiling. The initial work they did, did not pass inspection due to improper installation. Finally passed inspection after redoing much of the work already done, including the air handler. The gentleman they sent out to repair my plaster ceiling was electrician by trade as their usual ceiling repairman was busy. The work he did was only adequate, if that. Had new insulation blown into attic after install. The installer came down minutes after going into attic, saying that the duct work was not attached at the back of the house and he stated that he would not blow anymore insulation until that was fixed as the compression of insulation by workers reattaching duct would void insulation warranty. Also spotted large softball sized whole in duct work. After many calls and visits it was finally resolved. Final straw: Thermostat pooped out which was still under warranty. Came out and charged me $379 to replace saying no charge for thermostat, but the 10 minutes of labor was $379! DONE!

False Advertising STAY AWAY FROM RED CAP PLUMBING AND AIR...not only do they not care at what you hire them to do and not do their job as specified, but also would not show up to their appointments and not call...wasted a work day waiting for my 1st appointment with them, and if it wasn't because I called to find out what was going on, I would've sat in the house just waiting for them...they re-scheduled and when the AC guy came in, Olsie was his name, if I remember correctly, all I wanted was a tune-up, and wanted to stick me with a new unit and have his salesman come in...and when I asked him about the cleaning/tune-up of the AC, as scheduled, he stated he wasn't going to clean the lines for a 30 dollar tune-up appointment, which was the special going on, and left. When I called the office regarding this issue, and the fact that noone showed up for the 1st appointment, I was told to speak to the CSM Jarrod M., who stated would have the office refund me the money paid for the service, and also $100 because they did not show up at all, and I didn't even get a call about that appointment; I had to call to find out of the situation and re-schedule, and they "promise" that if they don't show up on time, they would give you. Although Mr. M. was quite nice on our first conversation, I never recieved anything from them, and I tried calling and leaving messages, but to no avail...worse company and customer service experience ever!

Salesman-Manny didn't arrive to our home with supplies in his truck to set us up with portable AC units/window units . He used supplies from our home. 2. Workers don't return phone calls. Don't tell you if appointment is scheduled or not. Don't follow up via phone or email to tell you what happened. 3. Job didn't pass inspection first time. Had to come back & fix issues. And AC didn't cool house down. (There are times where it still doesn't cool at night.) 4. Suction line (pipe) in attic leaking because it wasn't insulated when AC was installed, therefore created mold smell in my home (it's causing us to have respiratory issues & allergies) & condensation coming out of vent (leaking onto my wood floor which is at the top of staircase: Fall Hazard). Complained about this for several months but nobody could figure it out, until I called Another company for another quote. 5. Overcharged for 1 unit. I was price gouged because my AC broke down, was recently discharged from the hospital after giving birth & the salesman "Manny" saw that we were desperate for cool air. 6. WiFi thermostat never given as promised. Asked for it several times. 7. Damage was done to the opening to my attic (from going in & out.) 8. Air ducts were never inspected at the first consultation day & nothing was ever mentioned about it. Now they are asking me to replace them since they are worn down due to improper installation. They are also asking me to pay to have the leaking pipe in the attic insulated when it should have been done with the installation of the AC (per Stay Cool AC & Heat). 9. I've never had so many problems with a company. Very unhappy overall. Cannot trust this company! Product_Or_Service: AC unit

I was in urgent need of a plumber for today, Wednesday, we are renovating our kitchen cabinets and the installer was not able to turn the hot water valve off under the sink it was almost like it was stuck so I called yesterday, Tuesday, and he was able to come by today, which is Wednesday. Erich was very nice, very helpful, explained what he did and a little extra for us, which was very much appreciated, I have already set up an appointment for them to come back next Wednesday to hook up all 3 new sinks. I will be calling Red Cap plumbing again in the future or whenever needed!
Red Cap did an excellent job of quickly re-piping my house. The salesman/project manager covered all details of work , as we previewed the job and he followed up with his crew, during the job. The installation crew arrived on time and went right to work, having all necessary tools and supplies. Their experience and commitment to detail really was evident. The job was pressure-tight and finished in two day's time. Kudos to Red Cap.

A friend had the same service with a reputable company and was charged 250. , Which is usual and standard cost. When I questioned the price, I was told it depends on how long the job took. Apparently I was billed for the time it took the technician to run to home Depot and get a needed part. I was not home for the repair as I was caring for an aunt who had a stroke. My disabled son was there. In my defense over how I could be so stupid to accept and pay such an outrageous price, I was dealing with a family emergency. This company is taking advantage of people by inflating their prices. I would never use them again.
