Undelivered goods
I am so shocked as to how many Relogulf have scammed people. Its nearly been a year and we are still waiting for our goods to be shipped from Dubai to London. After months of 'false' promises I don't know if we will ever get our goods back. We have even requested for our goods to be returned back to our apartment in Dubai but we are getting no responses from Neil Price and Phillip Davis. Is there a Trading Standard equivalent in Dubai who we can turn to for help?
Thievery
I sent several items, 36 boxes plus 2 motorcycles, 1 Honda CRF 450 and 1
CRF 250 both brand new, from Dubai to Italy, it was June 2012 and paid
regularly the shipping plus the insurance for the bikes at Relogulf.
The boxes arrive in Italy in October, 1 missing, the best one full of expensive books... never saw it again!
The motorcycles never arrived, the wanted 1200 UK Sterlings to bring
them to Italy because the clause of the contract was to collect the bike
"at the warehouse"... I knew that and expected to be somwhere in Italy,
no, it is in a never heard rathole in UK.
The bikes have been both stolen there, it is my fault, they said, and
the insurance does not cover that becuuse I did not collect in times the
bikes...
I contacted the insurance company in Hong Kong, the one I tought I had, they never heard my name!
I hired AL BAHAR & ASSOCIATES in Dubai, they cannot do nothing...
after 1 year they haven't done much, or at least if they have done
something, no results.
I lost 12.000 euros thanks to the ReloGulf/ReloUK, I should have known
as there is a book of insults complains about those guys on the web.
sadly I got to know that way too late.
I should know as well that Dubai still keep the heritage of being a
pirate place, especially after dealing with the guys at relogulf... I
wonder why the authorities, if there is any, allow those things to
happen still!
I will built a blog very soon making sure it will pop out on searches
telling all the story, all the documents and all the emails... better
everybody know about how ### can some people be, it wil be very
nice meaningful URL!
As for April 2014 the new ownership of relogulf is addressing all the compalains/refund properly and hopefully the case will be solved quickly. I will update as soon as I wil have some more information. It seems like the bad old days of Relogulf are finally ending. Stay tuned. I was wrong same bounch of thieves, thei forced me to put resolved on my complaint with promises but at the end they offered me 500 dirhams as reimbursement for the insurance they never did!!!
Criminals
Further to articles in the UAE press it is gratifying to see Neil Price and Philip Davis, managing partners of Relogulf who also have connections with British Budget Removals and Sovereign Removals, being exposed as the criminals I believe they are, and I appeal to people not to be fooled by anything these individuals write or say. Not forgetting the contribution of Rosa Menezes and Kathy Ashby in this scam.
Also noteworthy, is that at the time we chose Relogulf as our moving company, their documents displayed logos showing they were accredited by the IAM (International Association of Movers), and the CAM (Canadian Association of Movers), both of which they were not, as I contacted these bodies after we realized we were being scammed. CAM said that Relogulf’s membership had expired way before November 2012, and IAM said Relogulf were no longer a member.
We entrusted our personal possessions we had accrued over 50 years to Relogulf and such has been the impact to us personally, emotionally, and financially that I believe we cannot be simply labelled as ‘disgruntled or dissatisfied customers’, as described in previous newspaper reports - this is tantamount to saying an individual who has been violated and their personal possessions and money stolen by a thief, is mildly displeased or unhappy at the turn of events.
We initially paid Relogulf US$5, 513.36 as per their contract, for a ‘door to door’ service for the removal of our personal possessions from Dubai to Lagos, Nigeria. Relogulf kept this money and did not pay the shippers, and this was the start of the scam as experienced by so many other people.
With regard to marine insurance, the coverage agreed for our shipment was US$44, 485.00, we found out later that Relogulf didn’t insure the goods for the required amount, but for a very small amount of AED 15, 000 which is approximately US$4, 000 which was probably the minimum they had to show in order to ship the goods.
After our personal possessions and goods arrived in Lagos, to put a halt to them being sold off due to non-payment to the shippers from Relogulf, we also had to pay a further US$33, 160.21 which included the accrued storage and demurrage charges at the receiving port in Lagos, and as late as 11th February 2014, we received another invoice from the port authority for a further US$8, 548.37 for further storage and demurrage for the time taken to release the shipment from the auctioneers which was a complicated process carried out by the agent in Lagos who has been extremely helpful. In fact, we came within hours of losing all our personal possessions forever.
In addition to the direct costs above, we have also been forced to buy duplicate things to replace the things in the container that are required for us to live, and this cost has run into thousands of dollars - this exposure carries on rising as this painful episode continues to unfold.
I believe there is a very deliberate pattern Relogulf exercise in all cases:
1. Upon home survey of goods to be shipped they act professionally and sincerely.
2. They subsequently provide a reasonable quotation to encourage the client to accept.
3. They take the client’s money.
4. Contact up until that point is reasonable, once the money has been handed over, contact is minimal, and any contact from thereon is initiated by the customer.
5. In the case where the goods are actually shipped, Relogulf don’t pay the shipper, keep the money, and avoid contact with the client.
6. After time when Relogulf are forced to communicate, they lie to the client and force them into a position where the client realizes something is wrong and has to take matters into their own hands and part with thousands of dollars to ensure they get their personal belongings back. The client is so engaged in doing this that they contact Relogulf less, if at all, and this is what Relogulf rely on.
7. If goods are not shipped, which may be in the case of a shipper who wants money ‘up front’ which Relogulf are not willing to pay, or if the paperwork is too complicated for the goods they have agreed to ship, ie unusual items, then more often than not, the goods are either left lying in their warehouse, and in some cases peoples possessions are even sold, and Relogulf keep the money. As the clients would have already moved on to their destination country, Relogulf rely on them not being able to do anything about it.
8. Relogulf are aware of the trauma and cost involved for clients to recover their goods, and know the tremendous time and effort it takes to do this, and therefore there comes a point when the focus of the client is not on continuing to try and contact Relogulf, but to concentrate their time and money into getting their goods back, and in most cases the client gives up on contacting Relogulf altogether, and this is another milestone Relogulf aim for.
9. Relogulf know that clients who have actually received their personal possessions have had to pay horrendous amounts to get them back, and would be hesitant to fork out more money to take legal action against them, not to mention the trauma that would start all over again should they do this, which would also be more difficult and costly to monitor from the country they have moved to.
10. In the case of people who haven’t yet received their goods, the same applies, in that they would be in the process of paying more money to the shippers together with port charges in order to receive their possessions, and would not be sure how much more they would have to pay out to secure their delivery, and so these clients too would be hesitant to take legal action, due to the cost and the time consuming procedures.
Taking a situation such as our own, if much time has passed and the container has been advertised for auction, then a significant amount of money has to be paid (and raised in some cases) for its release, and also for the storage at port during that time, otherwise an auction will be arranged by the port authority to cover the rising costs the container would have accrued by being left marooned in port due to Relogulf’s criminal acts.
Why do I believe the above, below is our story (so far):
In March 2013, after Relogulf’s calculated ‘professional’ and ‘sincere’ survey, and the subsequent very reasonable quotation, together with all kinds of assurances e.g. ‘We seek to make every move a positive experience by removing the stress commonly associated with moving home. The reason for our success is that we never close our doors to customer service or personal attention. Our dedicated consultants are available 24/7 from the start of each move until the finish’, we paid Relogulf to ship our goods from Dubai to Lagos, Nigeria, at the time of writing, it is mid-March 2014, 1 year later, and we haven’t yet received them.
Our shipment contained our personal items of sentimental value, including photographs, family heirlooms, our marriage photos, tape recordings of our children (they are all adults now, some with their own children), favourite clothes from years gone-by, cine-films of our children growing up, our own childhood photos from the 1950s, family framed wall photos, precious gifts received over the years, book collections, our school reports dating back to the early 1960s, jewellery of sentimental value including items given by my grandmother who was born in 1907, trophies, certificates of achievements, newspapers collected in childhood (including the moon landing from the Daily Mail UK paper of 1969), and much more, too numerous to mention – our whole life of keepsakes which are worth nothing in monetary value, but hold a value dear in our hearts.
Also of no monetary value, but essential to us, are two filing cabinets packed with important documents, and also documents such as marriage and birth certificates, registrations in various countries, insurance policies, pension documents, legal documents, and again, much more, too numerous to mention.
The things of actual monetary value are items of electronic equipment, crystal glass, Spode china, silverware, ornaments, kitchen equipment, odd items of furniture, bedding, clothes, shoes, bathroom toiletries (including expensive perfumes given as gifts), bathroom towelling and mats, rugs, antique tiles, golf clubs and other sports equipment, and more - too numerous to be listed.
After we had paid Relogulf US$5, 513.36 (approximately AED 20, 250.00) we heard nothing more. Phone calls and emails were not answered. Our shipment didn’t leave Dubai for a long time, despite the fact that Relogulf said it would arrive in Lagos in 6 weeks. Eventually after months, and after pressure from us, they answered a mail saying our goods had arrived in Lagos some time ago, but they did not inform us. We asked them to complete their ‘door to door’ contract, clear the goods, and deliver them to us.
More months went by together with emails to Relogulf from us and the clearing agent in Lagos telling them to pay for the goods to be cleared and delivered to our address as per the original agreement. Relogulf ignored these emails, but in the end after pressure to reply, they initially gave many different excuses and brush offs - e.g. the person in their office dealing with our shipment is off sick, probems with their computers, etc. We eventually informed Phil Davies we would take legal action if they did not fulfil the contract, this was met with contempt and a demand for further money that was outside the terms of the contract which would have surely met the same fate as our initial payment. Shortly after this Phil Davies did what any fraudster would do, he changed his mobile phone number to avoid further contact.
Alarm bells rang and we contacted the agent in Port Harcourt in Nigeria who informed us they would not release the goods as Relogulf had not paid them, which at that point we had no idea, and also that the container was accruing storage charges for every day is remained in port. This was unknown to us, as Relogulf didn’t inform us, and our container had already been in port for some considerable time and had already accrued significant charges.
More time elapsed as we and the Lagos receiving agent tried to get Relogulf to honour their contract with us, and then we were informed by the agent in Lagos, that due to continued non-payment by Relogulf, the port authority had now advertised our shipment in the local gazette for auction. Think about what this means, everything you own, all your treasures and memories, your keepsakes, disposed of and never to be seen again. This is a desecration of your life and the trauma this could inflict is off the scale.
Amongst the stress of it all (which was at its height over the last Christmas period), together with sadness and other emotions that kicked-in at the thought of losing a lifetime of cherished things, we had to deal with trying to find the money to pay for the charges that had occurred, and were still incurring at the hefty rate of over US$161 per day. This was hard enough, but worse during a Christmas season.
To date the 20’ container that Relogulf shipped for us in March 2013 on a ‘door to door’ contract at a price of US$5, 513.36 which they absconded with, has cost us US$47, 221.94 (AED 173, 442.00) together with our personal time and effort to save our treasured possessions – and we still haven’t received our goods as there are still processes in place that have to be carried out before the container is able to be released - this will incur more charges.
When our container does arrive, and based on the comments posted by countless other people who have been exposed to what I believe to be the unlawful practice of Relogulf, the question begs - will all of our goods actually be in it?
I believe Relogulf have scammed people in a very cold and calculated manner and this, in no uncertain terms, is criminal fraud, and the many, many accounts on www.complaintsboard.com
highlight this very clearly. Relogulf’s scamming can also been seen on /link removed/ They also have a Facebook Timeline where many, many people have commented https://www.facebook.com/pages/ReloGulf/357668604322954?fref=ts
Having lived in Dubai for seven years until March 2013, unless things have drastically changed in the UAE since then, the last time I understood the law there, taking people’s money under false pretences, misappropriating peoples goods, bouncing cheques and trading without a licence are all criminal offences, and I believe Neil Price and Philip Davis have committed these offences and should therefore answer to the UAE authorities for these blatant and unpardonable acts of criminal extortion. We have engaged a lawyer and I strongly suggest the other affected clients do the same.
Finally just as scammers change the names of companies to cover their illegal activities, I believe there is a real chance that Neil Price and Philip Davis will do what other criminals do when they know they are about to be caught, and that is abscond. If what I believe about these two individuals is correct, and the supporting evidence from others together with our own experience certainly supports this, then these Neil Price and Philip Davis should be arrested without delay and imprisoned whilst the numerous cases of fraud are heard.
I wish I'd have done some research and would see all complains against Relogulf before using their service. However, too late for me to regret, as I cant find all my belongings, and don't know what is right to do in this case.
I had been stored my (1 bed room) household goods with Relogulf in Dubai since 2013, past two years had been paying to the bank account of the company called Marine Registra for the storage services, being introduced by Phillip Davis that Relogulf and Marine Registra are sister companies... However, currently I need to get my belongings back and with the assistance of DED discovering that Relogulf is not existing, one of the managing partner (Nail) run away from UAE, about another one (Phillip) was not provided any information by DED. The only suggestion from DED is to open a case in Dubai courts.
I'm guessing that earlier there could be legal cases opened against this company by other customers. If anyone who is reading my text and who is aware of any outcome after court case could share with me his/her thoughts and experience I'd very much appreciate. I'd never thought that any storage company would not contact its customers to inform them on collecting their goods as the company is shutting down. Well, then I cant understand where my goods gone, what did they do with them? Now who is responsible for this if the company owners cant be found in UAE? Who is to compensate for the lost goods?
Can anyone suggest if there is a meaning in opening legal case in Dubai court?

I used Relogulf in March 2013 after they were recommended on our company website. My story is similar to all the other complaints. My goods were delivered in May 2013 with half the shipment missing and a lot of the furniture damaged. Relogulf have constantly delayed the insurance process, do not respond and come up with new excuses. Today I received an email from the insurance company, informing me my claim would not be processed as Relogulf had not paid the premium. Six months later and a lot of stress I am left without my living room furniture, sons toys, clothing and damaged furniture.
I am now looking to take legal advice out of principal as they should not be allowed to trade has anyone done this?
I am in the same situation. however, i have started a bandwagon. please feel free to jump on. I have contracted a lawyer, and we need to get as many people as possible together to have a strong case against relogulf, now trading as sovereign relocations. please email me at brian_ridley@hotmail.com
Missing shipping
I left dubai at the end of June 2013 to move home to England. Relogulf took 5 boxes from me, telling me they would arrive 6-8 weeks later. Everything went well, then as soon as the boxes left my apartment and were paid for I have now heard nothing. They will not reply to emails, enquiries for the websites and the phone just rings. I'm not having much luck contacting relouk either.
Any help at all would be gratefully received about what I do next or who I contact to try and reclaim my items.

I am still struggling with same problem. Open a case both with Dubai Police and the consumer rights organisation.
No goods, constant lies
To all, never use Relogulf. I have been waiting for the better part of the summer for my goods to arrive to Switzerland. They have never been shipped. Now Relogulf's number is gone dead. I have tried to reach louise.[protected]@yahoo.com, but no answer for the moment. Please reach out to my mobile if you have any more info: +[protected].
My story is very similar to what I have read elsewhere.
Let's get together and make sure we get this resolved as best we can.
All the best,
Paul

Dear Paul and all other victims of ReloGulf - as one of them - I recommend:
If you know, where your belongings are, take them out and let someone else shipp them.
If the container is shipped but stuck in "your" harbour, then pay again to get it out and
NOW : all you, PLEASE, open a file in consumer rights and by police dpt in Dubai, write to any internet www or page
to prevent this company from continuing to operate.
We understand they could have poor service but a lot of customers here in UAE want the cheapest quotation and best service. They do not understand what their quotation excludes. When you want the cheapest rate, then you need to anticipate such issues from the company.
no shipment of goods
Relogulf, collected our monies 2 days prior to our packing day schedule. They sent a team of men around to pack our belongings on April 22 2013 and to collect said packed items on 23 April 2013 to go to their warehouse first and then be shipped to Saudi Arabia. All of which should take approx 4 weeks...Its now mid July 2013 and still we have no belongings.
Many phone calls and emails to Phil Davis and Rosa (the girl in the office) have been made and now are being ignored from their end, today we spoke to someone called Kathy (who would not provide her surname) and she hung up on us after telling us she did not have access to even a computer in order to track our shipment (she works there and yet does not have access to anything)
Where do we go from here? Has anyone had the same issues with Relogulf and how did you manage to either get your hard earned belongings back or make a court action against them?

We have the same issue in the UK. ReloGulf were paid over 20, 000 dirhams in March this year for a complete "door-to-door" removal and delivery service. The removal went fine but as for the delivery... er... well... I can't really comment there because there's been no delivery!
Our container has been stuck in a container holding yard about 20km away from our house for over three months because ReloGulf failed to pay their Dubai-based agent the freight charges for our shipment. Because of this, the agent did not surrender the necessary paperwork back to the shipping line in the UK which means our container just stayed put racking up horrendous storage charges. After many false promises and lies from Phil Davies (a partner in the company) we decided to move things along as best we could and personally paid the agent 8, 000 dirhams for him to release the paperwork which has now been done.
Great! The container can be released and we can finally get our belongings back... YESSSSS!
Well, no, not really... remember the horrendous storage charges I mentioned earlier? Well, after many, many promises from Phil Davies that he will cover all storage costs in the UK once the paperwork had been surrendered by the agent... 1, His phone is always off (although according to the office staff his number hasn't changed) - 2, he never replies to text messages any more and 3, he's never in the office but will be in every single "tomorrow morning".
Neil Price (the managing partner) is another waste of space who also never answers his phone.
We are now waiting on a decision from the shipping line in the UK as to what they are going to do with our container.
No delevery

I unfortunately chose Relogulf to relocate my personal goods from Dubai to New Zealand in January 2013. As like alot of the other complaints on here I had one of their salesman (named Chris Meyrick) come around to my house and give me a great quote for a timely relocation in groupage. I was promised my stuff would be in NZ within 8-10 weeks and he was aware this was important to me as I was moving into a new house and my stuff was furnishing that house. I was also told by Chris that January was the busiest time for them and there was no doubt that there would be loads of customers doing groupage so there would be no delay in my shipment. It seems he couldnt have been more wrong. 12 weeks later I had moved to NZ, having left my shipment in Relogulfs hands. I had heard nothing from them so I emailed Kathy (me stupidly thinking my stuff would have been in or near NZ at least) and she informed me that it was still sitting at the port in Dubai due to "port delays". After many emails and expensive international phonecalls Kathy finally admitted that it was not "port delays" and that they had no other customers to ship my goods with and that I should look at paying more for my own container. I had already paid AED13, 000.00. All I wanted to do was get my stuff back and ship it with a well know global company however I would have lost alot of money so after a few more weeks it was negotiated I pay AED2, 000 more for my own container. Another 12 weeks has passed and my container has finally arrived in NZ. I was nervous but all seemed well when I dealt with the agents here in NZ. They were optimistic I would have my stuff in 2 weeks. The 2 weeks went by and no shipment. My nerves had treated me well as I have now been informed that the shipment has not been paid for by Relogulf and it has also been put in my name which means the liability of the container lies with me and not Relogulf. Nice little trick! Now I am faced with paying all over again to the shipping line (Hapag Lloyd) for the shipment, the use of the container, and the port storage fees whlle my NZ agent has been trying to get some information from Relogulf, who predictably have gone silent!.
All I can say is DO NOT USE THEM, DO NOT TRUST THEM! YOU GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED CASH, AND YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND THEY TAKE THEM AND DONT CARE ABOUT WHAT THEY PROMISED TO DELIVER. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY WHATSOEVER!
Hi Sara, I am sorry for you too and everyone else out there that has been ripped off by these baddies! I am praying my stuff does not get kept hostage like yours! I cant believe Relogulf are still operating. I just found out that my stuff was shipped groupage so its just lie after lie after lie to steal our money! Now I know there are atleast 3 of us here in NZ that face this Relogulf headache. Do you happen to know how many people in Aus?
resolved info
How are they still in business - they're living their happy lives in Dubai while we all suffer!
I feel for you and I'm really sorry to see that you've gone through this like many other customers whom ReloGulf engaged after me. My stuff are with the agent in Sydney since November 2012 and they have taken my stuff as hostage and not releasing them since they haven't been paid. ReloGulf just continues doing business in the same way with no integrity. How can we put a stop to them?
Disgracefull
Having recently left the awesome shores of Dubai after 15 wonderful years, I feel I need to share a disappointing turn of events which has left me totally disillusioned.
We used Relogulf, a so called reputable Dubai based moving company to ship our household goods to South Africa, the packing was perfect, the shipment arrived on time, with no breakages or damages to any of our items. The problem occurred when we tried to pick up our consignment from the SA port. Relogulf the "reputable" moving company had not sent our payment to the SA agent (we had paid in full for door to door service). We then had to pay out an additional 20, 000.00 ZAR in order to have our container released. We have now been trying to retrieve this money from Relogulf for the past six months, with no luck whatsoever, our e-mails and phone calls are simply ignored. My greatest wish is to recover the money they stole from me and to warn the people of Dubai about Relogulf, as having done a little research we found that this has been done to countless others too !
Brian and myself contacted Lawyer and we are making strong case. We need more people to make it even stronger.
Please contact me a saturday@gmail.com
I'm in a similar situation- but in my case I accompanied the outsourced contractor to the warehouse so I know where my stuff is. But still trying to get them to release it.
Sandy,
It breaks my heart to see ReloGulf has done thee same to me since September 2012 and theey are still victimizing more and more customers. Even if you do get a hold of theem theey will promise you delivery dates to hold you back for several weeks and again back to square one. My shipment was released to thee party in Sydney on 22the November 2012 and theey are still keeping it hostage to have leverage over relogulf and getting theeir payments. It's a shame police does not intervene to put theese guys in jail for good so theey can't betray more people. They will pay back for theeir wrong doings, one way or thee otheer. It will come back to theem...
Non-delivery of goods
I moved from Dubai to Sydney last August 2013... I paid Relogulf upfront to ship and deliver my goods door to door. My goods arrived in Sydney in October 2013, 2 months later. I was contacted straight away by their partner company in Sydney, Hellas Europe, to inform me. However, that was 8 months ago! All my goods are being held in Hellas's warehouse and they will not give them back to me because they say that Relogulf 1) has not paid them and is in massive debt with them and 2) will not send the final documentation to release the goods. I have been living out of a suitcase now for 9 months! It is making my life a misery ! I have made constant phone calls to both Relogulf in Dubai and Hellas in Sydney and have been sending constant emails. Both parties blame each other and Hellas are now saying that Relogulf are not even in touch with them and owe them a considerable amount of debt, of which they haven't paid. Hellas are also denying any involvement and refusing to take the blame for anything but THEY will not give my goods back to me. Surely this is illegal? I have lodged a complaint with the Fair Trading department in Sydney but they called me today saying that there is nothing much they can do, even though they want to, as I have my original contract with Relogulf in Dubai and not Hellas Europe, who is a third party. They said all I can do is report Relogulf to the similar authorities in Dubai (the DED) which may do something, although may not. I am considering police involvement and getting the Relogulf MDs arrested... Please, if anyone has already been through this and got their goods back please can you advise of what steps I can take to retrieve my belognings, I feel so helpless and this is all so upsetting. Thanks in advance. and PS. for anyone reading this NEVER USE RELOGULF OR HELLAS EUROPE ! They are honestly ALL liars, con artists, cheats and without any form of conscience ! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I too am in the same positon, however I am in NZ and my belongings are held in a container at Auckland port. Turns out Relogulf have not paid anyone toward my shipment and also put the container in my name which means all liability lies with me for fees and charges. In a way I hope this is a good thing as I will have to pay the whole thing again but maybe I can actually get my stuff! So far I have paid them AED 13, 000 and received nothing and it's looking like I will have to pay up to NZD $5, 000 again to get my things released from Auckland port.
So far everyone employed at Relogulf have lied! You can not trust a word from Neil Price and Phil Davis mouths, as well as Kathy Ashby who constanty lies to cover them, and Chris Meyrick who no longer works for the company but sold me a whole lot of lies and is the reason I went for Reloguf. 8 weeks delivery time has turned into 6 months of stress and I strongly recommend not to use them. Hi there. This is great. I gave them money to ship my goods and was contacted today by a source not to use them. Today I cancelled and Phil promised to hand over my money on Sunday. I feel he is lying. I'm currently in UAE, Abu Dhabi and want to prevent things from getting worse before I leave the country. Could someone give me Neil's private cell number.
This is my story also. I think we are sharing the same container. I've been to DED as well. I'm waiting for the last deadline Phil Davis had given me for delivery of goods and if they fail to deliver again I'm taking this to a vast pool of press in the region I have access to. If you are happy to be referred to by press let me know.
I believe the MDs of ReloGulf should be put to jail and should be stopped from victimizing more customers.
Hey we had the same problem Relogulf didn't pay MSC so our container sit in a warehouse in Germany-even the container was for 5month in a warehouse in Dubai for no reason...Relogulf is playing games with costumers and they are broked...we never can reach Neil Price and when he said I am taking care of it and I will pay the open bill...even the secretary's are lying for Neil...one Lady said they didn't pay us since February REALLY why you are still working for them?Even the Moving Company in Germany didn't get thru to Neil Price...they are criminals and we hope that we get people together and kicking their ###...When you like I can give you Neil's private cellphone# you have to call them so many times till he answers we call him every day no matter what time it is...he doesn't care why WE should care?
None delivery, Poor service
In September 2012, I was visited by Relogulf to move my belongings from Dubai to my home country. It is May 2013, and I have not received my goods. It took 7 months before my goods left Dubai. 1 month later it arrived in Home country. Port duties were outstanding. Goods stood in compound for a week. Eventually Port duties were settled. Relogulf have not settled their bills with the contractor to deliver my goods. I am told that the Contractor is trying to reach Relogulf daily, with no response. I have tried to contact the Relogulf office, both Phil and Neil, with no response. This is tantamount to theft. Taking my money and not delivering. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER ! they will not communicate with you to advise on the status of the cargo, they will communicate even if you try to initiate. When you do get hold of them, they will make every excuse to delay. I would like to hear from others that have had similar experience and what has been to resolve. I am still without my goods and this is frustrating! Phil, Neil and Kathy, if you have any conscience and dignity, please respond and resolve.

Same position...how do we take legal action against them?
My shipment finally arrived after daily phone calls and emails - most of which unanswered. Very stressful and costly - the Directors are dishonest with no conscience. Disgraceful
lack of and appalling service
ReloGulf took our money with ease, the service and treatment we have received has been appalling, we feel that they are less than CROOKS!
We paid for and agreed on a full relocation service i.e. packing all our personal effects inclusive of motorbike at origin ...dubai and all shipped to be delivered at our destination ...uk.
Unfortunately when things arrived, it had to go into storage which we arranged and paid as an extra with Relogulf . The packing had already been problematic as we were told we only needed a 40cubic feet container...it ended up being almost 70! and they left bits of our children's trampoline in the sand in dubai...luckily after a final re-inspection of our villa, i noticed the parts and notified Relogulf. This was on top of their driver using my couch as a bed...as he slept on it for over an hour while his colleagues packed around him.
When the day finally came to deliver our effects...they came in a little luton van and they had to do five trips of randomly packed boxes despite our pre-warnings to Uk office that space was at a premium so they needed to be a strategic plan in place. all was ignored! Over a period of three days and the help of my husband, all was unloaded. The guys at relogulf managed to fix two beds correctly; one child's bed was incorrectly fixed that a couple of slats fell through luckily my child was not harmed. My metal display racks for expensive crockery and dining table were not fixed securely...we ended up having to unpack at least 200 of 300plus boxes.
After several complaints about the terrible service, broken items, missing items and asking us to pay extra 150GBP for a delivery of motorbike that we had already paid and agreed its delivery. The company has been using pure delay tactics in regards to paying the insurance claim to us and compensating for finishing the unpacking ourselves as their guys left because they had another job to go to.
Mr Phil Davis, Mr Neil Price and Mr Paul Hunter have behaved in a lower than despicable way and have robbed us of 30, 000aed.
I am still trying to get our insurance claim resolved...my advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE TERRIBLE RELOCATORS AND EXCELLENT AT ROBBING YOU BLIND!
I hope that the Managing Partners i.e. Mr Neil Price and Mr Paul Hunter will get a conscience and do right by us.

I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy! I used this damn company to move my stuff from United Arab Emirates to Australia. Everything seemed alright in the beginning, until they got my money. After that my experience with this company became completely horrible. They packed our stuff and promised a transit time of 6-7 weeks plus 10 days in Australian customs. That was OVER 5 months ago. We live in our house without furniture like bumps, I have to sleep on air mattress with my wife. We got no furniture to place in our house! The worst thing is, that it is impossible to contact anyone. I have made 100+ calls and every time I get the same response, like The Managing Director, Mr. Neil Price is on the phone or in a meeting. Even though we ask for our calls to be returned URGENTLY we get no return phone calls. We are now looking at contacting the Department of Foreign Trades and Affairs well as the Australian Embassy in Dubai as this situation needs to be resolved. I would strongly encourage you not to consider ReolGulf's services whatsoever if you wish your move not to have the destiny mine had.
As I already mentioned - wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

my sympathy with those people...
Agreed! they will take your goods and your money and never deliver. I am waiting 8 months for my goods!
I used ReloGulf to ship my families belongings to the USA in a door to door agreement. They picked up full payement and our belongings. They then put it in a Shipping line container and sent in to the USA. They then ignored my requests for updates for more than 2 months.
It turns out that they did not pay the shipping line - so the shipping line charged demurrage every day. Shipping line needed their container back so have unloaded our stuff and put in a General Warehouse and placed a Lein on it. Warehouse did not get paid either so that are charging ReloGulf also. Still no payment so my stuff its about to go to Auction! At this point ReloGulf promised to sort the payement and provided false wire transfer confirmation documents to make it look like the money was on the way in the hope that the receiving agent would sort everything out. Money did not come and it turns out the agent has been fighting for payment for reloGulf for more than 5 months and that ReloGulf are known for falsifying wire transfer confirmations in order to get other people to pay their bills!
STAY AWAY - THEY ARE CROOKS! Phil Davis and Neil Price are the company principles and seem to be the ones deliberately behaving like this... They even told the local agent in the USA not to tell us that our stuff was about to go to Auction!
Still have not recieved our delivery
Promised 6-8 wk delivery from Dubai to our doorstep in Melbourne. Here I am 10 wks later sat on a camping chair, at night I bed down on the floor with my little kids. I chased Quarentine & customs myself, they cleared our items wks ago. The sister co in Oz is Hellas, Anna is the MD that doesn't return calls, emails or take my calls. We are now instructing lawyers & TV programme Current Affair. Do not use this co, we gave them a 2nd chance after seeing bad reviews, I would've rather paid more money to a company that were not incompetent cowboys.

Disgraceful service
Relogulf were recommended to me by a friend in the UAE who had used their services to relocate within the Middle East. Normally I would pay extra for a household name. I asked 3 agents to quote my move from Abu Dhabi back to Melbourne, the Relogulf salesman, Tyron Farrell, came to my house, and as an Australian was easy to deal with, friendly & pleasant. He...

Amazing upfront service followed by complete and utter disappearance of any service or communication whatsoever. Piss poor communication. Infuriating lack of response. A company truly ignorant of any customer service understanding. Kathy Ashby and Phil Davis promised my goods on a said date, then made no contact the month leading up to it. Delivery date...

1.We used RELOGULF to ship our household items and motorbike from Dubai to Australia in October 2011. We were promised to receive our household goods within 4-6 weeks and finally took possession of them after 4 months. Our shipment was missing our mattress which RELOGULF had just forgotten to load. They didn't notify us that an item (mattress) was not loaded with our shipment and we were left to sort out the problem with the handling agent in Australia as the manifest said it had been loaded however was not there. Once I notified RELOGULF of the missing item they then said they would load it on the next shipment to Australia, when that would be they could not confirm. To date it has been 6 months since we had RELOGULF ship our goods and we are still without a mattress.
2.We also used RELOGULF to ship my husband's motorbike. As we were still awaiting the import permit to Australia they stored the bike for us until the permit was processed. Once processed we contacted RELOGULF to go ahead and ship the bike. We had organised and paid for the bike to be cleaned and crated (6cbm) and shipped to Australia. The bike was not cleaned but the worst was that the bike was not securely crated and was placed in a container with a few places bubble wrapped! We had asked specifically for photos to be sent of the crated bike and this is RELOGULF's version of crating! When we contacted RELOGULF we were told at first that this was just for transport to the docks were there it would be properly cleaned and crated. Apparently they lied about this and the bike was shipped without crating. We contacted RELOGULF again were they confirmed the bike was not crated and refunded us the difference of the space the bike took up in the container against the original 6cbm they had charged us for. The problem for us wasn't the money. Our concern was how the bike would survive shipment without any casing. Our worst fears were met when the bike arrived in Australia we received photos from the handling agent in Australia showing extensive damage to the bike including the tank totally dented in and extensive scratches all over the bike.
Dealing with RELOGULF has been the most unprofessional, stressful, disappointing experience of my life. They promise superior service and to date this has been the worst service from any company I have ever dealt with. Constant phone calls go unanswered. Emails take weeks to be answered. Goods fail to be shipped or are shipped so damaged it would have been better to sell in Dubai rather than ship and deal with all this stress.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I wish I had done my homework and seen these complaints and the others just like this before I too chose relogulf..My story is all too similar but it is now 4 months and still ongoing...The most frustrating part is there is no legal recourse and we cant sue these unprofessional and incompetent liars...I paid for a 40 ft container only to find out months later it was still sitting in Dubai while they tried to make extra money and charge someone for the excess space in the container...then eventually when it arrived here in Australia The container was siezed because they hadnt paid the freight forwarder...this is still ongoing and I just want it over...I urge anyone who even thinks about Relogulf to use a big name branded company and not these crooks...that is unless you enjoy the stress and hardship, which you will go through when dealing with them. they are amateurs at best...Hope you go out of business Relogulf so that you cant do this to anyone else!
The Managing Director, Mr. Neil Price is the big crook in the company Relogulf who is tricking international clients bt breaching signed agreements, cheating and blackmailing international clients as of evidence based documentation.

Extremely bad service
I have used ReloGulf to move all our furniture from UAE to Switzerland in December 2009. The packing was actually quite good but once our goods were shipped, we were told that it would take 6-7 weeks for our goods to be delivered. After 6 weeks I inquired where the goods were, and the only answer was that they were still sitting in Dubai. What nobody told us is that we would have a shared container with another person who had delayed his shipping and therefore our goods would have to wait for his goods to be loaded. If I did not asked I could have waited for my goods indefinitely without being kept updated by Relogulf. I sent many emails and phone calls to the company who always remained unanswered, even to the director who we first had contact with to estimate the cost of shipping. I did not receive 1 single answer from him, and I had 83 emails from November 3rd when I first made the inquiry until April 7th, date when the goods were delivered. It took Relogulf 5 months to deliver my container. I would never recommend this company to anybody. They are a bit cheaper than some of teh competitors, but saving a couple of 100`s is not worth the trouble you will be going through using ReloGulf.

August 28, 2013 -- I am also a victim of Relogulf's unscrupulous practices. Relogulf said my belongings shipped the UAE on June 11, 2013. I find out today that it was shipped to the wrong port -- Norfolk, Va. -- instead of N.J., and that it will cost me and my container-mate associated $2700 to transport the container to the proper destination. First, however, the container must be cleared from US Customs, and Relogulf failed to provide my destination shipper with forms that I had sent to Relogulf for this purpose in April 2013. Moreover, there are additional problems with Relogulf. The following is a partial email. Kathy is Kathy Ashbey, who is an employee of the company, which is run by Neil Price and Phil Davis.
EMAIL from an agent who is trying to help us victims: "Kathy, yet another issue. See below from Safmarine. The Bill Of Lading needs to be telex released. BL you have sent me requires original to be submitted. You must surrender original BL to Safmarine at origin and have them send an email confirmation to US for TELEX RELEASE. This is a headache for me. Also you have manifested bill of lading for 333 pieces and actual piece count according to packing lists you have provided is 314. This is also a problem. Please correct it on manifest at origin. ...This is supposed to be an easy every day task but nothing but problems instead...We do not see a customs clearance yet. There is a piece count discrepancy. Shipment is manifested for 333 however your entry was submitted for 314. Also the following are outstanding: a) Surrender Original Bill of Lading to: Safmarine Inc."
If anyone knows an legal recourse, please post them here. I would like to follow through with shutting Relogulf down. /a victim
Hey all, we have so much problems with Relogulf and specially with Neil...we shipped our household from UAE to Germany and yes we waited 5months of it and it stocked in a Warehouse in Bremerhaven because Relogulf didn't pay the bill to MSC now we have a open bill from more then 5000Euros...every time when we try to reach Neil we get the same answer he is not in the house, he is sick, he is out doing business, when we are lucky to reach him he promise they will pay the bill tomorrow...he is just a big liar...don't know how he can sleep every night...we are so made and I like to take some actions against him and the company...what they do is a crime and Illegal...and somebody has to stop this and shut down their business...yeah when he has no job he has to leave UAE...I just wish him BAD LUCK...better I don't see him again before I do some desert trip with him...sometimes people get lost in the desert...
Our container was illegally sent from the United Arab Emirates to Germany.
This was the clear breach of our contract agreement with Relogulf in 2009.
This case is not solved in June 2012, after 29 months!
Relogulf and their German cooperating company IMS are trying to seize and sell off our illegally sent goods from the United Arab Emirates to Germany which is called in German & International Criminal law "Hehlerei" which means trying to sell stolen goods to make illegal money out of it.
Neil Price is not communicating but he insists on his right to seize and sell off the container which he had illegally sent to Germany in 2009 to get his bill paid in 2012.
We have always tried to communicate with Relogul, Neil Price and asked for a good solutions with negative outcome as he don’t want to accept his companies mistakes and doesnt want to report this case to his insurance!
Neil Price didn't want to communicate but he insisted on his right, he pushed up the costs by creating illegal fees and increasing the bill which he had created as of his companies mistake wich costs he requests now from us.
These illegal costs were created as of Relogulf's illegal actions!
We herewith want to ask all international cheated clients to contact us at seahorses1@gmail.com as of the unlawful, illegal and unethical actions of company Relogulf from the United Arab Emirates and their international co-partner companies.
A group will be formed to make all negative experiences with the company Relogulf and others public via media and initiating legal actions with international lawyers.

Bad Service
We have used Relogulf, part of ReloUK, to move our furniture to Egypt this July 2011 and the Experience has been very negative with the only exception being the professional packing of our goods which we were impressed with. Apart from that, the whole experience was bad and perhaps the worst part is the alleged door to door service until you realise that you have to pay considerable charges, bills including transport charges etc to the local agent otherwise your stuff does not get released and you just pay more charges.
One thing that Relogulf have done which in my opinion is totally and contractually not correct, they have forced their customer to deal directly with a third party and not taking responsibility for the the third party action. Despite many requests to them to sort out and advise the legitimacy of the local agent requests for payments, Relogulf did not respond. I even translated invoices to them to advise if these were correct and despite advising me to hold remaining payments, they never came back with a reply. Whilst we can argue if some of these payments are to the customer account, there should be no argument about the customer maintaining his relationship with Relogulf only and not having to pay directly to the local agent for invoices that have not been even verified by Relogulf.
In my opinion, Relogulf was not professional in their service as a whole, have not responded to emails and phone calls and have even failed to date, almost three weeks after the delivery of the furniture forward by email or hardcopy the insurance documents despite requests for the same and paying for the insurance option.
I wish there is a professional body that we could lodge a formal complaint with but I guess we will have to put it to bad experience, never again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Phil Davis was my contact point at Relogulf. Despite paying for storage and shipping, my goods have not been delivered and now there is no contact from Relogulf or Phil Davis. Does anyone know where Phil Davis is or how to contact him? Is Relogulf still operating? Does anyone have any contact details?
