I started Rescare in January 2019. The house I signed up for were the hours I was available to work (I was told to pick what I could work). After I get into the house after training the house manager wouldn't help me clock in so I had to do mispunches for the first week and they were never turned in. So after I finally got my hours on my next check I found I was being paid 1$ less than what I was supposed to. I had to fight with them for over a month to finally get what I was supposed to in the hour. Then in May a secret was going around that our home was being shut down and the residents that have been in that home for many many years were being ripped away from each other. But before they did it they changed our schedule with a 3day notice. So I sucked it up dealt with it changed things around I'm a mother of 4 a husband with a broken back and take care of my mother that has cancer her self. I worked injured and all. Well then the residents finally started to move to different houses and our house was shut down. I tried and tried to get in touch with hr I even sat out in the hallway for 45 min while I was completely ignored. I knocked for 45 min and she was sitting right there. After someone who isn't hr tried to help Sabrina from hr come into the office I explained that I can't work overnights and every single weekend as I have been doing it already for them. They had some positions available I could work but they were saving them for other people. Then Sabrina told me I had until Friday to pick a house or I'm terminated. This company is so unfair and unprofessional. I've accommodated Rescare and have loved my residents as if they were family but they are going to save shifts for people who sleep and do not care. Something needs to be done.

unethical behavior
I'm dying of cancer. 8 months ago, I contacted ResCare Home Care to have in home help once a week. ResCare was happy to take my credit card information and promised help in return. I am still waiting. Every week, I am assured that help is on the way. Every week, I rearrange my schedule, cancel doctors' appointments, miss chemo therapy sessions, because I need help at home. Then no one shows, no one calls. I call, and every week it is a different excuse: "she's running late; she got lost, etc. But she WILL BE THERE" Every week, I wait. "She" never shows. I never met 'her.' I don't know her name. "She" doesn't exist. And yet, every month "she" charges my credit card for "her" services.
I am dying and I reached out to your company for help. Shame on you for treating the dying, the sick, the elderly in such a cold and heartless way. Your company is no better than any of the other scams out there that target the elderly. I hope ya'll sleep well at night after beating up sick old ladies when they are already down.
people sleeping and neglecting their jobs/proof
I have access to pictures of employees at kimsey house in wilkesboro, nc. Too many times have I heard and been informed that these are the best of the best, yet they sleep and lay around leaving thier fellow employee to care for the consumers we are there to protect and care for. They terminate him for asking for help but the person working with him flat out refused him and was the only other person there being paid and holding a responsibility to control the behavior and keep them safe. She left him to deal with several consumers aggressively behaving. Thats neglect... Yet she has her job but he does not. This is rediculous so I hope this company can give this another look... The man worked at another house for a year and is still in good standing with them, earned pro team member and never mistreated or neglected his people.. He told me ever since he started day after day that the house was structured under pageantry and favoritism. This is neglect. Tonya beck nightshift coming in at 8am not on the clock and making consumers move so that she could sleep on the couches until her shift started and god only knows how things went under her sleepervision. Courtney and alan rotten is in the others, which is a daily accurance among other rumors about him.
The employee was threatned for assumptions of pics with his job and then they wrote him up even after showing proff he tried contact ricky hamm... Saddest part is they said he used his ysis training incorrectly while dealing with multiple behaviors and 1 incompetent dsp. Hannah miles flat our refused to help and actually neglected the situation, her peer as well as the consumer. His ysis training was dead and the company knew yet kept him on the schedule. This isn't right or fair and I would like to think this wonderful company would give a fair judgment and here is proff of the situation he was in. First of all, I’m not argue over why nobody helped you drag a consumer by his feet and had that employee and another consumer to lie about the situation. You are not worth lying and losing a job over. Secondly, to speak badly of Ricky after all he has done for you and everyone else in this company is completely low and inconsiderate. How could Tonya Beck come in at 8am to sleep when she comes in every night at 10pm? Make sure your accusations are truthful before you spew your garbage all over the internet. I also find it humorous how you claim to be left to do everything, when the whole time you worked there you smoked every 5 minutes and was constantly on your cell phone, were you so concerned then? The only reason you want your job back is because ResCare does not drug test. Get a life.

I recently accepted a supervisor job at this company. It is salary but no balance if you work 50 hrs a week plus. You have so much work breaks are minimal and lunch forget sit at your desk. Having worked at Outwood in Dawson Springs Ky for over a year I came to realize it's not about the individuals that live there it's about the office staff, the maintenance and whoever else is higher up ! The individuals so not get what they really need food wise they get served the same thing over and over and yes there is a dietitian there it's the 2nd one in a year . The office staff and the higher ups get served steak and whatever else there hearts desire all they do is make a request and no matter the cost it will be there for them. There was a high dollar grill bought just for the office staff and higher ups not once has it been used for the individuals. They cut back on the plastic bibs for the individuals and say only 1 box per cottage but yet they are eating steak in the canteen they take 2 days just to prepare desserts for 1 day ! We started out with 2 gators to haul food to cottages they got upset with us took 1 of them and left us with 1 gator to haul food to 4 cottages then they got upset again and took one of the seats out of the gator so the rest of the kitchen staff would have to walk to cottages after 3 months of punishing us we got our seat back. It's all linked backed to when Amber Brown took over kitchen and made Traci Hackman her assistant in the kitchen first of all on the year I had been there it only takes 1 person to do canteen but yet there's 3 or 4 and an assistant 5 days a week doing canteen for staff when the cooks struggle daily on cottages to prepare for for staff and individuals . If someone would ask dietary staff not Amber or Traci how it truly is it would blow your mind ! And now I quit I loved my individuals I loved my job but when u get put down daily for not brown nosing or waiting on office staff and the higher ups u are made to feel worthless. I feel like the individuals aren't getting what they deserve or need !
having a felon working in customers homes, and they say they do background checks.
This women is working in patients home that still has a felony record of embezzlement from a local construction company. And she takes her boyfriend people's homes while she's at work and I have access to all of that patients files, she has taken her boyfriend in the offices at night time to help her file patience personal files and her boyfriend also knows all the payouts that is allotted to that patient and how much money I get a week or month. Now this lady is hanging people's money and has been charged with embezzlement and then the prison.
non payment of a refund
This company Rescare - was quick to take a check from me in the amount of $3456 on Oct 17th, 2019 for care for my father Charles Thomas White Sr- whom died on Oct 20th - when asked about a refund for the services not needed - they continue to LIE about when and how I was to get the refund. First was that the check was not cashed and they would bill me - then when I got the bank statement - they had indeed cashed the check - then got the run around that the locate Elizabeth City, NC office couldn't help me and referred me to Charlotte NC office and then they couldn't and wouldn't help me as they were transferring billing to Atlanta Ga - after weeks of calling them and they were expediting the check they tell me 2 and 1/2 months later that the check now is to come from Louisville Kentucky - BEWARE - promises and lies - and they need to get their act together - the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I have spoke with numerous managers and no one is telling me when I will get the refund - Doris Ann White Younts -
overwhelmed
The put some much work on the HR/QAs. Don't have enough time to spend with family members. Constantly staying late because you never finish your task and they constantly adding on. ED is very rude. They want you to hire so many people but no one wants to work because of pay. Never have support from your CSS. It's just to overwhelming. The BM is not any better.
stress
I started working at ResCare in Reedsville, WV on June 26th thinking it was going to be an amazing job. Well, I have been puking blood since July 1st due to the stress. I love my job and my clients but the overtime, new area supervisor and etc.. this is too much. The new Area superviser has no idea how to do his job and its causing everyone stress.
lack of direct care staff.
Someone in corporate needs to look into the severe staff shortage in Res Care North Central WV (specifically Elkins). It has become so bad that administrative and clinical staff are needing to cover direct care shifts. By doing that their jobs go undone. Consumers and families never know who is coming to their homes which is very stressful.
I was informed this evening, July 17, 2018, that my son's apartment is "filthy". Food spilled, dead fly in the refrigerator, floors not cleaned. This is not acceptable, but it should not be up to the guardian to have to take action to get it rectified and assure that it doesn't continue.
I have brought this to the attention of the Ex. Director.
I would appreciate a prompt response to this issue.

I am a victim of racial slender, I have been fired unfer wrongful accusations that happened 3 weeks ago that I have been fired for today, no verbal or written warning. The pc was cruel and lied saying I was cruel. She has also just got out of jail but still works as a pc in Tecumseh Oklahoma. There are many things going on in rescare that need to be looked into.

The administration in Austin past and present has no idea as to what goes on after hours in there own buildings and during the day. When you have your trusted hiring managers sleeping with each other in the office after work and in the group homes you have to start to wonder who is really running the place. With nicknames such as (his HR wh$&$! If you want to work in a toxic environment with untrustworthy people in a soap opera like atmosphere then this would be the company to join and be a part of.
paychecks and hr
Ever since HR does all hiring and firing now, we never have any staff or any new people that last. We are always short staffed but now it's even worse. They also change there mind of how many hours you work so it's not reliable according to what's on the schedule and the schedule itself is not real, fake shifts and unreliable hours. The pay is not right we deserve a raise. We only get paid over time if we do more than 8 hours at one time. If we do a split for a total of 11 hours a day we don't get paid over time or if we work more than 40 hours a week we don't get paid over time. That is illegal. And making us work more than 6 days without over time is also illegal.

I'm having a procblem that needs to be Handle immediately. I work for RES CARE and to my understanding HR didn't know that I'm a PRN However, money is being Deducted from my check from benefits that I never sign up for or qualify for. I want to know is this something I need to go to legally service for because it's to a point where damages are being cause. It's becoming stressful and I have became very inpatient with this matter for some time
Now I'm a mother of five so you can imagine every penny counts. This is a mistake that can be fix but it's unacceptable to keep happen repeatedly. HR said it will be fixed lets move forward but eight months ago The same thing happens and not got fixed but I never got paid my money back to me then and now we're here again so again HR says it will be fixed but I may not get my money back. Really because of mistake of not reporting the Accurate information from there doings? My check was for $ 187.70 benefits took $185.64 taxes taken were $2.06 And I took home 0.00 and because I didn't work enough hrs I owe in money! What would you in this situation ? See my attachment of my check stub. A single mother of five ! Don't just keep fixing it ! Make sure it does not keep happening ! And Pay me my money back! Maybe then HR will report the information currently!

The manager Burrowes is never there only the nice supervisor Mr. Henry. No matter what time of day he is always there to assist unlike the main center manager is never there or always late or leaves early. That is what you get from most people on salary that does not have to clock in. And when in center never wants to come in contact with customers from my understanding by front desk Me. Bobbie has told me when I e en tried to make appointment. They do not do appointments I was told.
safety of consumers and staff
I was placed to work in a home for rescare in ohio, the home was dirty, the staff didnt feed the consumer's and they stayed short staffed always. I was seeing cross contamination in the houses. I also was attacked and no one helped, or wrote a statement regarding the incident, in fact no one writes no incident reports the staff told me when incidents occur? I feel sorry for these consumers, only if there families knew how there loved ones were being cared for, but also, the state labor board, osha needs to monitor these facilities a lot more closer for the saftey if the staff, whom is left in the homes 1 staff WITH 7 consumers which is UNSAFE AND INSANE
I'm a client in re-scare in they're new program they provide for Special Projects. I came to re-scare in September in 2018. I have a roommate who is scary and dangerous and unpredictable. She's attacked me and has eloped numerous times and never is punished. I think she been restrained once and it took 6 people. recently she tried to but the trailer on fire after banging on my door saying I'm not the one your gonna learn that she also sat in the living room which is next my room sat on the couch screaming and yelling threats towards me. Sh never got any charges or in trouble for attacking me. I try to stay out all day because my home is not a sweet home. I feel like I'm always targeting, she said i take advantage of her, she always threatening me, staring at me, running to the kitchen if I'm in there very intimidating. Home manager Kayla Crawley was called when roommate set her clothes on stove and they started burn she stood there and laughed as staff was trying to put it out while that happen i grab the house phone and went to my room and called 911. I was scared and I'm always scared and hiding in my room trying to avoid being in the house, I called they showed up, and Kayla decided to show up also i told the police i wanted to go to the hospital which was where i came from in the first place. They wouldn't because because they didn't see that as an issue Kayla said we aren't allowed to send them to anyone hospitals. Cops called a prosecutor and came back in the house he told Kayla okay so i just got off the phone this house is unsafe for her (me) so there needs to be 2 staff on night shift till one of them is moved and tomorrow one of them needs to be moved. Kayla said OK got another staff for that night. The next day I went to my job interview which i was excited for but wasn't the day off i was tired and stressed out over the last night. After my interview i went to the office. I asked the lady at the front desk her name is Melody Brammer. I asked her if they found my roommate or me a place yet... She said we had a meeting yesterday about and we haven't found a place for you or her yet its out of our control. Re-scare has said this everyday and every time i asked... but when the police show up re-scare gets scared.. Kayla was definitely angry she said to the officer Hondull, not sure if i spelled his name right and the newest female officer was there, Kayla called her supervisor I'm guessing Kathy McClung she didn't answer Kayla was looking mad i guess because the officer told her and got on to her he said if you do not find a place for one of them and don't keep 2 staff on night shift this house is deemed unsafe follow it and we can press charges on Kayla Crawley, home manager for not ensuring safety. so Kayla agreed OK they're will be 2 staff at night and will try our best to find places for them. Also, 2 staff that was working day shift when roommate put the house on fire are now being investigated because re-scare saying the should've been watching to where roommate didn't so that, but Kayla refuse to come up to the house when it happen because she is lazy and wont come unless police is called.. my thing is she trying to say staff should've been watching to see who i was calling she told staff she was to not call police... My guardian Shelly Little of WV DHHR of Nicholas county, i cant always get o hold of her, especially at night she knows she didn't believe at first she thought i just didn't like it here. My staff that day talked to her Shelly said is this true, and staff agreed and told her what she has seen since she started working and that was 2 to 3 weeks which is ridiculous and sad.. Also last night there was only one staff Kayla Crawley did not ensure safety for me or staff and I'm trying to focus and work on my program which is really hard, and she don't want me using the phone because i called the police. And I'm still in my house. A lot of the staff feel unsafe also, and i do to and I need help I need out of re-scare because I think they don't care if she tries to attack me or not I don't know what to do I'm trying to do my program but to be honest its impossible when you live in a environment like this. workforce investment act mismanagement
I was enrolled at rescare to get retraining back in January 2017, after talking to there Representative they instead had me go to another program called workready Oklahoma. There rep at the time told me they would put my file on hold and see how the other program can help get me training in my required field. However after 16 weeks in the other program and all there guarantees were false and unrealistic and provided really no assistance, I went back to rescare to get my retraining back on track and needed the funds from the Workforce investment act that they are in charge of here in oklahoma. They mismanaged my file and now tells me I have to wait till next year to get back in the program when I was never enrolled. ResCare is a gross violator of funds management and have screwed me since I've been out of work for 15 months and have no income. I despise the Rescare staff here in oklahoma and there lack of oversight on their corporation. There own policies screw the very people they are supposed to help.
Caregiver and I am complaining about paycheck
I have NOT recieved my March pay check. I have contacted office, have called, email payroll, human resources and NO ONE has responded to me or has attempted to give me my check. I have put in a complain to labor and industrially and still nothing. I have been counting on this money for a month now and it seems that NO ONE cares. I need this check asap! I am to the point, where I will take legal actions, if I do not have this check that I ha earned!

The clients are great yet sometimes a handful. Its great that you get to make a difference is someones life but also does not help that management does not appteciate what you do. The boss always talks about how she "appreciates" what we do that were the "base of the operation" their very "thankful" for all we do but yet gives us a ####ty pay! She makes probably triple than we was DSP's make. We work christmas, new years, thanksgiving, mothers day, fathers day and so on. They still get mad when we ask a day off to be able to spend a holiday with out families yet their home enjoying theirs. We do meds, blood preassures, change diapers, finger sticks, stools samples and way much more for only $7.50 an hour! What a joke! They complain when you get over time, but have a ####ty pay. Theres so many responsibilities with little recognition. The only thing you recieve is a perfect attendence award and a pen. No bonuses no nothing talk about a stingy company. Instead of buying them pens and wasting paper and ink on them awards at least pay us an extra dollar!
Stating I can't work
On March 16, 2015, a auditor from Medicad or Medicare pulled mine and my clients file. The auditor stated I had a un-accredited diploma and could not work. They stated to Rescare that they could be charged with fraud and could be liable to pay the state back everything I earned. When first hired, my diploma and all other records and such were good and shown to the auditor. He then told Rescare it goes through a "new" system now. So my supervisor told me I could no longer work with my client til I receive a GED or another high school diploma. I get no pay or have I had little contact with them since. Does that sound fair? Shouldn't there be a grandfather clause? Why am I being punished for not working when I did all the things I was suppose to do? Someone please advise me?
