We have contacted the corporate office at Tafer and notified them that we are not satisfied customers
We have contacted the corporate office at Tafer and notified them that we are not satisfied customers. We were lied to and mislead. We mailed a letter to the corporate office and no body has even acknowledged our claims. We have only received payment reminders and financial letters telling us that we are past due on payments. We will not be paying anymore money to Tafer Resorts and quite frankly, we feel insulted that they will not even address this. We were intoxicated by their sales team and forced into signing a contract that did not even stand up to its promises! We feel like this was the biggest scam ever! Our original letter will not fit into this field so I have attached it in the complaint. If it is not visible please let me know and I can supply another copy.

Over billing and charging late fees when I've been trying to reconcile my account status
Over billing and charging late fees when I've been trying to reconcile my account status. Account Overview for #XX-XXXXX I took over a timeshare account in September. The account was paid through 2020. ResortCom want me to repay the 2020 invoice. They asked for supporting documents to explain the transfer should include 2020 which I sent, yet they have not clear up my account billing status so I could pay my 2021 fees which they are now accessing a late fee and sending to collections. I've spent hours waiting on phone hold trying to reach someone. I've sent months of email correspondence with no response. I've talk to several people who told me to "wait a week" for process with no follow through. Attached are months of supporting email correspondence with a Tyler Fountain and the ResortComm generic email to no avail.

Wasted 2 hours booking 2 owner reservations. My guest told to cancel and book direct to save money. Company is undercutting owners. False advertising. I waited on hold over 40 minutes to get a reservations rep. I spent another 30 minutes at least to book 2 owner reservations for my guests. I was charged maintenance, borrow, upgrade & guest fees. I was told to next have my guests call to add on AI meal plans. When they called they were advised to cancel their reservations and book direct instead. They were told that guest fees for the AI plans would cost $1000 more if they reserved through an owner. This is an obvious undercutting of owners and false advertising. Why would ANYONE be an owner if it costs so much less to book direct. They have deliberately set up a scenario to preclude owners from using their paid for weeks as they wish in order to sell direct time to non owners. This is false advertising and blatant fraudulent selling practices to owners. They are effectively guaranteeing that owners can't get their weeks rented/used by guests during the covid pandemic so that they can both keep maintenance fees for weeks owners can't use and sell direct to their guests. I asked twice to speak to a supervisor and was told that none was available. My guest spoke with 2 supervisors who indicated no exceptions would be made.
Sent written offer and wont honor it changing it completely when I called in This company is shady as can be. Nevermind the flat out lies told upon sign up. I am behind due to the Pandemic as I'm sure many are. They send me a letter stating Pay 1 month payment and we will push back your next payment 3 months and consider you up to date. I call in and they tell me they wont honor that I have to pay 1 month plus late fees and my next payment is due next month. Their rep basically told me to bad if you don't pay this were sending you to collections. If you see this before making a decision to work with this company or just after do all you can to get out of it, They are LIARS
I had paid a deposit for a trip to Elbow Beach Resort, *** in Bermuda in the amount of $1,350. This was for a trip scheduled for August . I cancelled several months in advance due to COVID. However, I never received the refund. There was a recording that said they would process refunds when they were back on site. To date, no refund. On line I see some reviews indicating that they were there in 2020. However, still receiving only a recording and no response or refund. I am hoping that you can assist me to process the refund. My credit card is now stating that they can only dispute within 120 days from the booking and that time has passed.
I own a timeshare with Occidental Vacation Club, of which Resortcom oversees their American clients, from my understanding
I own a timeshare with Occidental Vacation Club, of which Resortcom oversees their American clients, from my understanding. I bought it in 2019 and have not used it. I was offered 0% interest for 36 months, 25 weeks a year, they would pay my membership for the first two years, and I would only have to pay for food when I visited. In early 2020, I got several calls that asked for $4200 to keep my membership fee from going up. I did call to schedule a vacation for Sept. 2020, was told that I would have to pay $752.50 to stay at Occidental, and with the cost of hotel transport and airfare, the total cost would be over $1000. I could have booked the whole trip for less than that on my own, so how am I saving money? I have reached out to Resort Com to respectfully request a cancellation, which they have denied. I am asking for a cancellation and my money back.

I am getting harrassed by this company calling saying I owe money but I pay every month and have overpaid them. I am getting calls regularly about owing money. I am paying monthly and have sent proof of payments for all fees and I am still sending funds which they say my balance is outstanding, which I don't understand...I have paid off the loan balance and they won't apply the funds I sent over the past 3 years to close out this account even with proof. I believe they are taking my money and not applying it to my accounts.

Refusal to reapply monies paid to a general resort credit I and my children are visiting in August
Refusal to reapply monies paid to a general resort credit I and my children are visiting in August . I paid for 3 all-you-can eat days, totaling $990. Upon considering this, I called back to say I'd rather apply it as a credit on my account because we rarely eat breakfast and tend to eat a small dinner. I called and was told they cannot reapply it - and could only do so for spa services. If I want to cancel, they will only refund 50%. Our visit is two weeks away, so it's not like we're changing things at the last minute. I simply want my money reallocated to a general credit on the account. I am an owner at this timeshare, and I find this absolutely ridiculous. Their excuse seems to be that if I booked it directly from my resort and not Resortcom, things would be different. I would like the full amount either refunded or credited to a general resort credit.

ResortCom conned us out of $9003.80. We paid this amount, it was deducted from our bank account, but never applied to our ResortCom balance. In June , we were given a 'Cash-Out Discount Offer' for our contract. With the offer, if we paid $8230.82, our loan would be considered paid in full. On July 6, we paid that amount in addition to $765 for next year's maintenance fees. As of today, August 24,2020, this has not been applied to our account. We are getting calls from collections and ResortCom representatives cannot seem to locate what happened to the funds.
I am unable to make contact with this company. All phone numbers are disconnected. After a miserable experience with this outfit, in August I submitted the Voluntary Surrender of Membership forms, with notarized signatures, a death certificate and a processing fee of $672. The only response from them has been the return of the death certificate without comment. I have been waiting for a receipt for the fees and acknowledgement that the my contract with them is terminated. The phone numbers, *** from written invoices and ***, from ComplaintsBoard.com's listing are disconnected. I just want confirmation this mess is over.
Seeking to be released from Timeshare contract with Resort Com My wife and I purchased a timeshare with the Villa Group, located in Mex
Seeking to be released from Timeshare contract with Resort Com My wife and I purchased a timeshare with the Villa Group, located in Mex., in 2017. Villa Group is affiliated with Resort Com, who we make our payments to. When we purchased in 2017, we wanted to use our points for the 2019 year, but were told that we could only use it during even numbered years, so we upgraded. It has been a total waste of time and money. We feel that there was so much information and pressure crammed into the sales presentation that we did not make an adequate and informed decision, which is the reason why we didn't know we could only use our timeshare during even numbered years, and now come to find out that our upgrade is also useless as well. We were scammed into this purchase and we want out. We have reached out to Resort Com on multiple occasions and they have not adequately addressed our issues, only sent us a temporary amnesty letter, which we are not interested in.

They agreed to a release of contract with my medial restrictions but then decided to withdraw this agreement
They agreed to a release of contract with my medial restrictions but then decided to withdraw this agreement. This company told me, in a recorded call, that if I submit my medical travel restrictions I would be released, then changed their minds. I have invested a lot of money in this and now I have medical issues that strictly prevent me from ever being able to use this timeshare again. The company told me all I needed to do was supply a medical letter, which I did. During the discussion and call (which is recorded) they were well aware of the ALL circumstances including the fact I still had a loan. This was reviewed and they had full access to all the account information. NOW, they are refusing to honor this. ResortCom and *** need to accept the responsibility for the terms they agreed to as they have agreed to do. This is completely unacceptable and an adequate depiction of the entire timeshare company and the sales practices they employee to victimize people. Unacceptable.

I purchased a timeshare June , I just now begin to use it, the sales team miss lead me on what the membership consisted of, and how it worked , about a membership to use certain amount of points each year, I found out that in addition to what I have already paid I have to pay additional fees to use it, and they did not tell me that, when I reached out to them they said it was in the contract, the contract was not read they just had us sign it, I trusted what they told me, I want my money back for this membership that I paid over 15,000 for . There is no value in the membership, because I have to pay to use my points, which was not explained to me, what's the point of spending $15,000 on a membership if I have to pay to use my points, that was the whole point of spending the $15,000, the fees that they're trying to charge me to use the points is more expensive than if I were to go online by myself in book from the exact resort for another third-party Product_Or_Service: Vacation membership Account_Number: XX-XXXXX

ResortCom International is the worst company we have ever dealt with
ResortCom International is the worst company we have ever dealt with. Our experience has been dreadful. Their customer service is non-existent. Despite repeated attempts over months to get assistance with our issues, we've made no progress. Written complaints and numerous emails have been ignored, and phone calls lead to a frustrating loop. Since purchasing our timeshare in 2009, dissatisfaction has grown, with costs rising annually. The investment of nearly $30,000 has not been justified. An ill-advised upgrade in 2018 worsened matters. Now, unable to travel due to family care responsibilities, we're desperate to sever ties with ResortCom International and need guidance on terminating our contract.

My timeshare upgraded my account and lied to me multiple times I have been unhappy with my ownership for some time
My timeshare upgraded my account and lied to me multiple times I have been unhappy with my ownership for some time. I have reached out countless times to end my ownership. I can never get anyone to help me. While on vacation in Cabo, I was approached by a woman in a bar and, after several drinks, she offered to take me to her office to discuss timeshares. I eventually signed a contract after high pressure from several salespeople. I was told I could vacation at many worldwide locations and the only cost would be airfare. This turned out to be untrue, as I later discovered. This "investment" has turned out to be a financial burden with no cost savings as claimed by your salespeople. I discovered I could make my own direct reservations for less money after trying to use the timeshare only once. Now I am stuck with constantly rising maintenance fees with nothing to show for it. I also have discovered that my family is required to inherit the unending and constantly rising maintenance fees and pay them for the rest of their lives. This was not disclosed in advance and if I had known about this, I never would have signed up. They even upgraded my membership knowing that I wanted to end my ownership.

We unfortunately purchased a timeshare back on July 10
We unfortunately purchased a timeshare back on July 10. This timeshare contract was for 20 years. We went back the next day after realizing our mistake and begged that they cancel our contract. They refused. I know that would not be allowed in the US but we were in Puerto Vallarta and apparently they can refuse...even if you went back the very next day. We knew we were scammed when they refused our request to cancel our contract. They would only offer to lower our cost from $7,605 to $6,045 but of course with this lower price...we didn't get the "same week". We paid that off immediately and have paid our annual maintenance fees on time and just waited until our 20 years are up. It is and I have e-mailed them twice (3/2 & 3/19 have proof) letting them know we have fulfilled our commitment and ask they cancel our membership so we don't incur repeated annual maintenance fees. I didn't get any response but hopeful that the just cancelled it. Well we just received our annual maintenance fee due November 30. I responded to that e-mail with my proof asking them to cancel. They will not do it until we pay our fee. I told them I requested this way before this fee was sent (every November) and showed them proof of my multiple requests but again...they REFUSE UNTIL we PAY another fee. This scam continues. It is a vicious cycle and has been such a nightmare.

Last minute cancellation and they want to reschedule for something within the next 2 weeks
Last minute cancellation and they want to reschedule for something within the next 2 weeks. Do as they ask or they notate that you surrendered I pay in advance for 1 week in Cabo every other year. I have always booked the farthest available day possible and explain I am going to deposit the week with ***. This time the guy said I would need to pay Resortcom.com to do so. I stopped him in his tracks, and said I always do this you guys have never charged me. I even asked are people traveling to Mexico w Covid? He said yes everything is open. I booked it (as normally do and paid no added fees). He emailed me a confirmation I immediately contacted *** and deposit the week. A week later now in Sept. I get a call from Resortcom.com and am told that my reservation was error and I must rebook for Sept travel only. And they would now not honor my deposit with ***. I explained if I had actually booked airfare for the end of Oct as originally scheduled I would have to pay 3 to 4 x the amount. Your outta your mind. Who does this. He kept insisting that I was now only able to travel in Sept. If not I can surrender my timeshare. It is hard enough to get through to these people now they just want you to give them your money but their customer service has gone away. I asked him to send me paperwork to review I'm not agreeing to anything wo seeing it on paper. He said he would fo so. I want others to be aware of who they are dealing with and feels very scammy.

personal concierge communication Jose was my liaison for booking services through
Jose, my personal concierge, initiated the phone call to book services through RESORTCOM for my planned honeymoon from April 16th to April 23rd in Cabo, Mexico. Due to COVID-19, we had to postpone our honeymoon to November . Jose first contacted me on March 7th, calling twice within two hours. After discussing our plans, I paid $502 for a couples massage, snorkel trip, and airport transport. I have all confirmation and communication emails, as well as phone call records. On March 12th, I emailed Jose about my COVID-19 concerns and asked for his company's rescheduling policy during a pandemic. On March 15th, I emailed him about postponing my bookings. On March 16th, I left Jose a voicemail. I called again on March 23rd and left another voicemail. On March 29th, I tried contacting RESORTCOM customer service, but got no response. On April 1st, I left another voicemail for Jose and emailed him, requesting a full refund. As of April 6th, I've had no communication from Jose or RESORTCOM. I understand the pandemic's impact on businesses, but I raised my concerns just five days after payment, seeking to reschedule. Now, I demand a full refund and will persist in calling and emailing until the issue is resolved. I'm also considering a charge dispute with my credit card company unless I receive a complete reimbursement.

Vacation Club timeshare misrepresented and sold to us during our Mexico trip
Vacation Club timeshare was misrepresented and sold to us during our Mexico trip. We've submitted this complaint to ComplaintsBoard.com twice, yet Vacation Club hasn't addressed our cancellation request. We're bombarded with calls and emails about late payments. Efforts to discuss contract termination were met with refusal, despite the timeshare being sold on false claims. The promises made by Vacation Club's Ron and Marcus didn't materialize. Our repeated cancellation requests were ignored, leading to threats over payment for undelivered services. I've disputed the charges with my credit card company and contacted the Attorney General about this scam. Dissatisfied, we've paid over $30,000 for a deceitful timeshare. We're considering legal action and will halt further payments. I'm also writing to President Trump to highlight the issue of scam timeshares sold to Americans in Mexico. We're rallying to bring this to the President's attention. Such scams must not target Americans abroad. Our family, deeply upset, will avoid Mexico henceforth. I plan to expose Vacation Club's fraudulent practices through the media. Their unethical sales tactics and financial exploitation are unacceptable.

We were deceived by a vacation club in Mexico during our 2017 family trip
We were deceived by a vacation club in Mexico during our 2017 family trip. Upon arrival, we encountered numerous individuals falsely claiming to represent our resort. They swindled $40 from us, promising reimbursement at the hotel. Repeated calls from the resort staff insisted on our attendance at a timeshare presentation to reclaim our money. During the presentation, we were coerced into buying a timeshare based on misleading benefits. Marcus and Ron, employees of the vacation club, falsely assured us of the flexibility to cancel the package and the extent of coverage with our points. Back in the states, attempts to cancel were futile, as we were uninformed of the five-day cancellation period. Persistent efforts to resolve this through the vacation club have been ignored. We now suspect the vacation club of fraud and are seeking legal advice while halting payments.

Bait & Switch. Undisclosed penalties/fees. Fraud. I own a holiday 2 bedroom account. When I tried to book the week I was told no 2 BR's were available but that I could split the week, book a 1 BR+studio combo, waitlist for a 2 BR & then switch to that if one opened. I was charged $515 to split the week. I was not told that the split fee was non refundable, that the TWO reservations would be subject to cancel fees & that I could not revert back to a 2 BR week. The obvious goal was to change to a 2 BR via WL. After booking I found that 2 BR's WERE available & being rented to non owners (although reservations of course didn't tell me this). My guests got a 2 BR. I called back immediately to cancel but was disconnected after over an hour on hold. I tried at least 4 subsequent times & had to give up each time due to hour plus wait times. I sent several emails explaining this all & asking that the 2 reservations be cancelled. No reply other than to call in. Today I finally got through. 1.5 hours later they were cancelled. I was told that 2 ($150) cancelation fees applied. My $515 split week fee was non refundable & that I could not get back my 2 bedroom use week. Wait times are such that most cannot cancel within the 24 hour period they say was necessary. All these penalties & fees were not disclosed. So according to this logic if & when the WL cleared I would have been charged a $815 fee/penalty in order to book the suite type I already own? This is outrageous & unfair. Bad enough that owners who have bought in can't even access the inventory that advertise to the general public - but the penalty fees are undisclosed & illegal and the horrendous customer service of 1+ hour wait times & cut off calls an intentional way to maximize them. After considerable wasted time arguing they finally waived ONE cancellation fee of $150. I want a refund for $665 & restoration of my 2BR week. Account XX-XXXXX. Reservation #'s *** &
