Rev Rev Deactivated My Account Without Explanation: Frustrating Experience with Poor Communication

So, I recently had an experience with Rev that left me feeling pretty frustrated. They deactivated my account without any warning or explanation. I received a message that said my account had been deactivated due to quality reasons, but they didn't give me any specifics.

The message listed a few possible reasons for the deactivation, but none of them applied to me. I hadn't received any negative feedback from customers, my scores were good, and I hadn't had to redo any projects. It just didn't make any sense.

I reached out to their customer service team to try to get some answers, but they were less than helpful. They just kept repeating the same vague reasons from the deactivation message and wouldn't give me any more information.

Honestly, it feels like Rev is just trying to get free labor out of people. They let you work for them for hours and hours, and then they deactivate your account right before you reach a higher status that would give you better pay. It's really frustrating and feels like a scam.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend working with Rev. They don't seem to value their workers and their communication is pretty poor. It's just not worth the hassle.

Rev Rev Review: Low Pay, Boring Work, and Deactivation Without Warning

I done did 18 jobs for Rev and I gotta say, I was killin' it with them high scores. Check out the pic I uploaded, I was gettin' Grade 5's left and right. But then, I asked for a review of my last job and BAM! My account got deactivated without no warning. And to top it off, they went and lowered my score big time. Ain't that some bull?

But that ain't even the worst part. The pay is straight up garbage. I mean, it don't even meet minimum wage. And the work? It's boring as heck. You gotta caption videos and it takes forever. Plus, they got these crazy deadlines that you gotta meet or you're outta luck. And let me tell ya, the videos they give you to caption are often trash. The audio quality is low and the content is weak.

But I ain't gonna lie, there were some interesting videos in there. I mean, I was captioning everything from kids shows to business promos to some straight up NSFW stuff. It was like a puzzle, trying to figure out what they were saying and putting it into words.

But at the end of the day, you ain't gonna make no real money doin' this. I mean, you might get lucky and make $7 an hour, but that's about it. And don't even get me started on the fact that I ain't seen a dime of the $70 I earned. I'm startin' to think they ain't never gonna pay me.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Rev to nobody. They treat their workers like trash and they don't pay 'em nothin'. And now that I can't even access my account, I ain't holdin' my breath for that paycheck.

Rev Fast and Efficient Transcription Services with Top-Notch Customer Service: A Review of Rev

I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with Rev. I had a whole bunch of YouTube videos that I needed transcribed, and I sent them over to Rev not once, but twice. And both times, they got the job done in under 16 hours. That's pretty dang fast if you ask me.

Now, I will say that they did let me know that a few of their captions didn't quite meet their quality standards. But you know what? They didn't just leave it at that. They actually gave me gift cards that more than covered the cost of those captions. That's some pretty good customer service right there.

And honestly, the captions that they said didn't meet their standards were still pretty decent. I had one of my employees touch them up in about half an hour, and they were good to go. Plus, out of 90 hours worth of videos, only 4 needed touchup. That's a 99.5% rate of good captions, which is pretty darn impressive.

The only issues I had were some minor capitalization problems with brand names, but that was my fault for not providing a more comprehensive glossary. So really, I can't fault Rev for that.

Now, I did see some reviews on here about how they treat their employees. And while I do think it's important for companies to treat their employees well, I don't think that should necessarily affect the star rating of the business. I mean, I'm here to review their transcription services, not their HR policies.

Overall, I was really happy with Rev's services. They were fast, efficient, and their customer service was top-notch. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Rev Rev.com's Deactivation Policy Needs Improvement: A Frustrating Experience with Inaccurate Metrics

So, I got this email from Rev.com telling me that my metrics were below standard. They said it was because of two files that got the lowest points. But, let me tell you, most of my files were getting 4/5 and 5/5 grades. They gave me 120 days to get my metrics back up or they would deactivate my account. That was on the 16th. Today, I was in the middle of transcribing a file when I got another email saying my metrics were below standard again. I checked and they were exactly the same as before. I even went back and looked at all the files I had graded since the warning email and nothing had dropped. I contacted them and they said it was irreversible, even though I told them something wasn't right. They didn't even bother to check if their system had made a mistake. That really bothers me.

What bothers me even more is that they don't have a better option than just firing you right away. How about offering more training before deactivating someone's account? I mean, I was getting good grades most of the time, so it's not like I was doing a terrible job. It just seems crazy to me that they would be so quick to deactivate someone's account without even checking if there was a mistake.

Overall, I'm not too happy with Rev.com right now. I think they need to do a better job of supporting their workers and making sure their grading system is accurate. It's frustrating to feel like you're doing a good job and then get penalized for something that may not even be your fault. I hope they can improve their system and offer more support to their workers in the future.

Rev Rev Review: A Decent Gig for Extra Cash, But Beware of the Forums and Graders

I work for Rev and let me tell you, it's a pretty decent gig. I make around $350 a week working 6 hours a day. I've tried other work from home jobs, but this one is definitely a standout. The best part? You get paid every Monday via PayPal. I've been with them for about 6 months now and I've never had any issues getting paid. Rev is great because you can work as much or as little as you want. It's perfect for those who are looking for some extra cash on the side.

Now, let me tell you about the downside. The other contractors can be a real pain in the butt. If you go to the forums, all they do is complain. They think they should be making a full-time wage on a part-time gig. It's ridiculous. They bring down the morale and scare off new members with their horror stories and bullying. But don't let that discourage you. I've never had any issues with Rev directly. The application process was easy and the payments always arrive before noon EST every Monday.

Yes, there are some really horrible files to work on, but you can choose which ones you want to do. I've done 30-minute files that paid over $1.00 per minute and hour-long files that paid 50 cents per minute because I loved the subject. Rev offers transcription, captioning, and grading opportunities. But beware of the graders. They're in a clique and think reviewing someone's work (and not even all of it, just small portions) is on the same stressful level as having to submit 30-90 minutes of perfection.

The only thing worse than the graders are the people who review what the graders (aka their friends) have submitted after you dispute an unfair grade. It's a real mess. The forum is a cesspool and the same people claim they're leaving every week. They never do. They just want to scare off newbies so they can keep all of the jobs and money. My advice? Stay off of the forum, make a daily or weekly goal for yourself (like $40 a day or $200 a week), lay low, and only make a fuss if something is wrong with your payments.

Overall, Rev is a great way to make some extra cash on the side. Just be prepared to deal with some annoying contractors and a messy forum. But if you can handle that, you'll be just fine.

Rev Disappointed with Rev's Lack of Feedback and Support for Workers

Rev was a great way for me to earn some extra cash during the pandemic. With all the extra time I had while working from home and not having a social life, I was looking for ways to be productive and make some money. I wanted to find something that required minimal human contact, and Rev fit the bill perfectly.

However, my recent experience with Rev has left me feeling disappointed. I completed a job and received a score of 3/5, but I'm not entirely sure why. I reviewed the grading summary, but it didn't add up. The recording was difficult to transcribe because one of the subjects mumbled a lot, but I was able to decipher some of the phrases they repeated. The punctuation rules in the verbatim transcripts were also unclear due to the cross-talking and inaudible segments. Despite these challenges, I thought I did a decent job, so I was surprised to receive an email saying that my account had been deactivated due to quality concerns.

The email I received from Rev was not very helpful in explaining why my account was deactivated. It listed several reasons, but none of them seemed to apply to me. I felt frustrated and disappointed that I was being let go without a clear explanation or a chance to improve.

I responded to the email expressing my disagreement and disappointment. I also suggested that Rev could do a better job of training and explaining why scores were not satisfactory. I felt that the company could do more to support its workers and help them improve their skills. I also mentioned that I would not be recommending Rev to anyone in the future, as I no longer felt that it was a viable source of income.

Overall, I think that Rev has some work to do in terms of supporting its workers and providing clear feedback. While it was a good option for me at the beginning of the pandemic, I no longer feel that it is worth the effort or time. I hope that Rev takes my feedback to heart and works to improve its communication and support for its workers.

Rev Rev Transcription Review: Scam or Legit? My Experience with Rev Transcription Services

I was super excited to start doing audio transcriptions online, as I'm a pretty fast and accurate typist, and I can do this from the comfort of my own home! When I first signed up for Rev, they gave me a couple of "training" videos, which were actually just short, challenging audios that I had to transcribe, with tips popping up here and there. They gave me 100 audio minutes to prove that I could transcribe accurately, and I was graded after each piece of work I did, even the training videos. You can be scored between 1-5, with 5 being "near perfect". You get your scores after each audio you transcribe, along with about 50 thousand other email "reminders" to tell you that your work is below average (even when all your scores are 5's), and to remind you of late work (even when over an hour remains until the deadline). It's a LOT of emailing.

My biggest issue is that after a week of working my butt off on audio transcriptions (I'm talking 4 hours+ to transcribe a single 20 minute audio file), and scoring 5's the entire time, I still got terminated after my 100 hours claiming my scores didn't measure up to their standards. Again, I scored 5's on all of my work, which is the highest score you can have, and somehow they averaged all 5's to be JUST under the 4.5 mark... and here's the kicker; there is no way to dispute your score. My account was terminated ASAP. I was unable to login, and I was unable to ask about or dispute my score.

Once you become one of their transcriptions (assuming that's actually possible), they claim you have access to more jobs, and higher wages, however I believe that this is a SCAM, to get cheap transcription work. I was indeed paid for the 100 hours I did transcribe, however it was at the minimum pay amount despite my perfect 5 scoring. They pay you through PayPal, without fees.

I am tempted to start a second trial account, in order to determine if I would be terminated again after another 100 perfect hours, but at the same time I am trying to tell myself that it wasn't me, that it's just a crappy company. It sucks to work so hard on something only to be told you aren't good enough with CONSTANT email reminders telling you that you are below their average transcription standard, especially when you are literally scoring the highest possible score for accuracy AND formatting.

You also have to fight for audio files to transcribe. One or two will pop up every hour or so and you have to basically sit and constantly refresh the page, and race to be the first to "claim" it. The instruction manual instructs you to carefully preview the audio file before claiming it, to determine if it's within your ability range (accents, bad audio quality, etc), but do not do that. You just grab and go; and if you miss it, you're out of luck until the next one pops up.

There are also VERY conflicting instructions. You are given a manual to read that explains their formatting procedure, and what words to omit, etc. however some of the people grading your work have graded me incorrectly (they put notes in your grades on what you did wrong, if anything), such as, you should have used a hyphen rather than an ellipses, even when the manual tells you to use an ellipses in that situation (small errors in small quantities will not apparently affect your scoring). They also send you a mandatory quiz about halfway through your training hours, to see how you are doing, and they give you tips and answers in the quiz which actually do NOT coincide with what the manual says. They literally set you up to fail by giving you completely conflicting instructions.

I did enjoy their intuitive UI used for the transcribing, however. Keyboard commands to insert timestamps, and to back up the audio; to pause and play with just keystrokes makes for quicker work, however I cannot get passed the idea that Rev is scamming you (while shaming you) for cheap transcription work before they drop you and move on to another. Don't waste your time.

Rev Unfair Treatment and Low Pay: My Experience Working for Rev

I recently spent a week working for Rev, and I have to say, it's not the best experience I've had. While I can't speak for the clients, as they seem to be satisfied with the service, I have some serious concerns about the way they treat their workers.

First of all, the pay is extremely low. They take a huge cut of what the client is paying, and then only give a small commission to the worker. It's not fair, and it's not right. But even worse than that, they have no real standards for rating the workers. Anyone can rate you, and they don't seem to care if the ratings are fair or not.

I did my best to do a good job, even though I knew the system was unfair. But it was frustrating to see that my hard work was being rated by people who had no idea what they were doing. Sometimes I would get a 5 for a job that was good, but not great, and other times I would get a 3 for no reason at all. It was clear that some people were just trying to sabotage me, and it was really demoralizing.

But the worst part came when they deleted my account for no reason, just hours after paying me for a job I had completed. They stole my money, plain and simple. And it's not like I was doing a bad job - I had been rated a 4 out of 5, which was perfectly fine. But they decided to steal from me anyway.

Overall, I would not recommend working for Rev. They don't treat their workers fairly, and they have no real standards for rating the work. It's a shameless business, and I wouldn't trust them with my money or my time. And watch out for Trustpilot - their high rating there may not be entirely honest.

Rev Disappointing Experience with Rev: Low Pay and Quick Account Deactivation

Rev is a company that offers transcription and captioning services. However, my experience with them was not a pleasant one. I was hired to work for them, but my account was deactivated after receiving just one bad grade. It was frustrating to have my account closed so quickly, especially since I had just started working for them.

The pay for the work is not great either. At most, you can expect to earn around $4 an hour for the tedious and monotonous work. This is not a fair compensation for the amount of effort and time that goes into the work. It's disappointing that they expect perfection for such low pay.

Overall, I would not recommend working for Rev. They are quick to deactivate your account and the pay is not worth the effort. It's better to look for other opportunities that offer fair compensation and treat their employees with respect.

Rev Rev Transcription Review: Unfair Pay and Impossible Standards for Transcribers

Rev is a company that claims to offer transcription services to clients. However, as a transcriber, I have had a terrible experience with them. They have scammed me out of my ability to make any decent money. The pay is only $2 for a project that takes me hours to do due to terrible audio quality. This is not fair compensation for the amount of work that goes into transcribing.

Furthermore, in order to get better gigs, I must score nothing but perfect score. This is an impossible feat, as there are always going to be errors in transcription. It seems like this company definitely doesn't have my best interest in mind. They are only concerned with making money for themselves, and not compensating their workers fairly.

I would advise anyone looking to work as a transcriber to steer clear of Rev. There are better options out there that will compensate you fairly for your hard work. Don't waste your time with a company that doesn't value your time and effort.

Rev Rev Transcription Review: Low Pay, Challenging Work, and Unfair Expectations

Rev is a platform that offers transcription services to clients. As a transcriber, you can earn around $1-2 per hour. The job can be quite challenging as the files can be difficult to transcribe. If you make even a small mistake, you can get downgraded and even lose your job. This can be quite stressful and fear-inducing.

One of the biggest challenges of working for Rev is that they expect you to transcribe files that are full of foreign language and singing. This can be quite frustrating as it is impossible to transcribe these files accurately. If you tell them that the file is untranscribable, you will not get paid for it. This can be quite unfair and unethical.

Rev is known for using and abusing their workers. They pay very low wages and expect their workers to work long hours. This can be quite frustrating for anyone who is willing to work hard but is not getting paid enough. It is like working for peanuts, but only getting half of the peanuts.

Overall, working for Rev can be quite challenging and stressful. The pay is low, and the work can be quite difficult. However, if you are willing to put in the effort, you can make some money. Just be prepared to work hard and deal with the challenges that come with the job.

Rev Rev Review: Unfair Hiring Practices and Lack of Communication

So, I gotta say, I gave Rev a shot a few times. I went through all the hoops and hurdles of their application process, but every time I got denied. I mean, what gives? I reached out to them to get some answers, but they wouldn't give me the time of day. It's like they don't even care about the people trying to work for them. I mean, I tried multiple times and every time it's the same thing. It's enough to make a guy think they're just not interested in hiring men.

But here's the kicker - my wife and her friends all applied too, and every single one of her friends got hired. What's up with that? It's like they're playing favorites or something. I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it sure seems fishy to me.

Anyway, I wouldn't waste your time with Rev. There are plenty of other sites out there that actually want people to work for them. Rev ain't one of them. Trust me, you're better off looking elsewhere.

Rev Unprofessional and Unfair: My Experience Working for Rev as a Transcriptionist

Rev is a company that hires transcriptionists to work from home. However, my experience with them was not a pleasant one. The company treats their transcriptionists horribly. One of the biggest issues I had with them was the lack of communication. Whenever there was an issue, they made sure that they were not reachable. It was frustrating to say the least.

Another thing that bothered me was that they had other transcriptionists grading my work. This was not a problem in and of itself, but if these other transcriptionists made an error in grading my work, I was the one who suffered the consequences. They would let me go without any explanation or warning. It was unfair and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, Rev did not return phone calls or emails. It seemed like they did not care about their employees at all. They were more concerned with taking calls from potential clients than they were with addressing the concerns of their own workers.

Overall, I would not recommend working for Rev. The lack of communication and the way they treat their transcriptionists is unacceptable. If you are looking for a company that values its employees, look elsewhere.

Rev Rev Company Review: Poor Quality, Low Pay, and Dishonest Practices

I don't get it, how is this Rev company still around? Maybe it's because of those rich folks who invested in them. But let me tell you, this company is a real piece of work. Their work quality is a total joke. They're always lying and they don't care about making a good product, they just want to take as much money from you as they can. I've read a bunch of reviews and it seems like they pay their workers (the ones who do the actual work that you pay Rev for) way less than minimum wage. I know that the transcription and captioning industry doesn't pay much, but Rev pays the absolute worst and they fire their workers for no reason or for reasons they just make up. This company is just plain terrible. I really hope they go bankrupt soon.

Rev Rev Translation Service Review: Terrible Customer Service and Disregard for Client Instructions

I recently had an experience with Rev, a translation service, and I must say that it was not a pleasant one. I had a simple two-page document that needed to be translated, and I thought that Rev would be the perfect company to handle it. However, things did not go as planned.

When I submitted my order, I made it clear that I did not need a certified translation and that I only wanted the standard translation service. However, Rev insisted that I add the certified translation service, which would cost me more money. I declined the offer and asked them to proceed with the standard translation service that I had already paid for.

To my surprise, Rev ignored my instructions and went ahead with the certified translation service. When I received the translation, I was shocked to see that it was not what I had asked for. I immediately contacted their customer service, but they did not respond to my emails. I also tried calling them, but they were not available on Saturdays.

I was extremely frustrated with their lack of communication and their failure to deliver the service that I had paid for. I had to take time off work to deal with them, which was very inconvenient. In the end, I decided to work with local translators who respect their clients' instructions and estimates.

Overall, I would not recommend Rev to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not seem to care about their clients' needs. They are a scam, and I would advise anyone to steer clear of them.

Rev Rev.com Review: Frustrating Customer Service and Inaccessible Purchases

Rev.com is a website that provides transcription and captioning services. However, my experience with them has not been great. One major issue I have encountered is that they do not email me the finished product with burnt-in captions on videos. This means that I have to spend an extra 30 minutes trying to navigate their automated customer service bot before finally reaching a person who can manually send me the completed project.

It's frustrating because it's not my fault that I'm not receiving the finished product. It's them. And yet, they make it seem like it's my fault. I have to wait for them to email me and then grudgingly send me the completed project manually. This happens every time I use their services.

What's even worse is that I never get access to my purchase on their website itself. If the captions are burnt in, I can't access the video with captions on their website. It's like they purposely make it difficult for their customers to access their own purchases. Maybe they like to keep their customer service people busy, but it's not fair to the customers who are paying for their services.

Overall, I would not recommend using Rev.com for captioning services. The extra time and effort it takes to get the finished product is not worth it. There are other websites out there that provide better customer service and make it easier for customers to access their purchases.

Rev Unreliable Accuracy and Turnaround Times: My Experience with Rev Transcription Service

Rev is a transcription service that promises to deliver accurate transcriptions within a specific turnaround time. However, my experience with them has been less than satisfactory. Despite their claims of 99% accuracy for good quality audio, I have found that their actual accuracy is much lower. In addition, their turnaround times are always much longer than what they promise.

When I have brought these issues to their attention, they have been unhelpful and unresponsive. They have refused to refund my money, even when they have failed to deliver as promised. Their customer service agents have been patronizing and unprofessional, and one even suggested that I stop using their services if I was going to keep insisting that they provide services as advertised.

As you can see from my screenshot, I placed my order at 11:41 am and took the screenshot at 3:03 pm. Despite their promised turnaround time of 4 to 13 hours, my order was still not complete. According to industry standards, it should take an average transcriptionist one hour to transcribe 20 minutes of audio. However, Rev's turnaround times suggest that their transcriptionists are taking 7.5 to 16.5 hours to transcribe the same amount of audio.

Overall, I would not recommend Rev for transcription services. Their accuracy and turnaround times are not as advertised, and their customer service is unhelpful and unprofessional. There are better options available for those in need of transcription services.

Rev Rev.com Review: Challenging Assignments and Limited Timeframes

Rev.com is a transcription service that promises great rates for its workers. They provide easy-to-understand samples with one or two speakers, no background noise, and a short recording time. After completing these samples, you get paid and then you can start working on real assignments.

However, the reality is quite different. The assignments you receive often have 4-5 people or more speaking, making it difficult to understand what they are saying. Some of the speakers have indecipherable accents, which makes it even harder to transcribe. In some cases, the assignments appear to be private conversations that do not have the full consent of all parties involved. It is also worth noting that some of the calls come from inmates at correctional facilities.

Another issue with Rev.com is that many of the assignments have a limited time frame, which can be stressful for workers. You are not paid for the time you spend working on the assignments, only when you complete them. This can be frustrating for those who put in a lot of effort but are not compensated for their time.

Overall, while Rev.com may seem like a good option for transcription work, the reality is that it can be challenging and frustrating. The assignments are often difficult to understand, and the time frame can be stressful. If you are looking for a transcription service, it may be worth considering other options.
