Roadside assistance
Could not possibly be any worse. Negative stars into infinity. This is my second bad experience with Allstate Motor Club. In this case, I called for a jump start when I found my car battery was dead. I had just arrived at long-term parking after a cross-country flight and it was well after midnight. The first problem is that it's almost impossible to call...

After being a customer since 1993 my wife was left stranded on a two lane highway in 100 degree weather and was told that since it is a holiday everyone is closed so you will have to wait until tomorrow to get service. She explained she was in the road way since she can't get off the road since there are no shoulders, only ditches on the sides. They told...

A year ago we decided to switch to Allstate Motor Club. Introductory price was great. Thank goodness we did not need the service until today when we were close to home. Initially I made the call for help. Had to leave a message for service provider to call me back. Nearly 2 hours now and no word. After my wife picked me up when no follow up, I waited until over an hour had passed and started calling. Hung up twice and finally got a really good supervisor. Trying to arrange for something later. Thank God we did not have this problem yesterday when we were on the road. For now my car is stranded and I need to find a way to get it fixed.
Made 81 yr old wait 4 hours for tow
This complaint is in behalf of my 81 year old, handicapped, mother who has Allstate's Road Security Plan. Yesterday, 8/8/13, at approximately 3:30pm, her car broke down so she called Roadside Assistance for a tow. Even though Allstate told her it would be a 3 hour wait--which in itself is ridiculous--they still didn't show up by 7:30pm! I was on the phone with them for over an hour to determine the problem and to get request that the company call another tow service to help her, as it was getting late and she is a handicapped senior citizen. The Allstate service reps were not only unhelpful, they were rude and combatative. I first spoke with Carla Villa Nueva, then was transferred to Danielle Jara in Northbrooke, Illinois (72555). Both people basically blamed my mother for the problems. I suggested to my mother that she leave her car, which was parked in a gas station lot, and give the service card and the keys to the gas station attendant so she could go home on public transportation and rest. The Allstate rep, Danielle, then told us that if she didn't wait with the car ANOTHER 20-30 minutes, that the towing company would cancel her tow. So they were unable to help her within the 3 hour time frame, then they essentially blackmailed her into staying more than an hour longer under the threat that her scheduled towing service would be cancelled. This kind of treatment is shameful and unacceptable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Unlimited Tow
Good day to all of you, I wanted to post a complaint and a WARINIG in regards to Allstate Motor Club.
I was a member in good standing with a Platinum Elite membership, which allows me unlimited tow and use of other services. Unfortunately, I used the service twelve times in two years and that is when I received the dooms day letter. I tried to address this issue to no avail. The funny thing is that I informed Allstate Motor Club that I have a very long commute to work over ninety-five miles one-way. Therefore, I need a service that I can use if my vehicle broke down. Unaware of the limitations of my membership I received a letter from Allstate Motor Club Loss Control Dept stating that I had excessive usage and therefore they had to cancel my membership. So, after several calls into customer service I realized that one, Loss Control Dept was a ghost department with very little access to the public and unlimited actually meant to the discretion of the company.
Therefore, I decided to inform the public when dealing with Allstate Motor club caveat emptor- “Let the buyer beware”.
Allstate Motor Club SUCKS! They did that to me too
4 full hours waiting for- the wrong truck (4wd vehicles, as we all know, except "Allstate motor club", require a flatbed). The worst part is the blatant lying- "90 minutes", and apocryphal "arrival times". If the dispatchers had been honest enough to tell me how long I'd have to wait, I could have walked home and returned with another vehicle and a towbar. I have three vehicles, three trailers, and two tow bars. Upon failure of the first truck (four hour wait time, including multiple calls, and being hung up on by rude "representatives"), I managed to get a ride home, a whole 4 miles (my initial call was at 2 PM, and it was getting dark, with rain forecast for 6:30), returned with one of my vehicles and a towbar, picked up the disabled vehicle, towed it home, and diagnosed the problem (faulty distributor), in less than 40 minutes. They wanted me to wait another three, four, or maybe five hours, for the appropriate flatbed. Mickey Mouse/ penny ante operators. In the eight hours they wanted me to waste time waiting, I could've rescued the vehicle a dozen times. Turkeys- with too many chiefs and not enough Indians. I spoke to easily a dozen dispatchers. They sound like they're speaking to you through a garden hose from the bottom of the ocean, with mixed up angry arguments in the background. The tow truck operator was courteous and professional. This auto club sucks!
After being told I have to wait 3-4 hours for a tow, I called the towing company across from where I broke down. I filed a claim ...got an email saying my refund check was in the mail. Three months later, and 5 cancelled checks and waiting 14 days from when it was supposedly sent (per their emails) and calling their CS 8 times, all in India, and getting the same response, "I will sent the office and email and have them send out a new check". ..I had 3 reference numbers, and they could never find them...all I got was promises to waiting 10-14 days. I'm so done with this company.. They have no number to call in the billing office...like they don't have phones there! I spoke to 4 "supposed " supervisors in India, who use made up names. DON'T EVER SIGN UP FOR THIS AUTO CLUB!
Was left waitibg all day fir service that never arrived, wasted hours. Ended up having to call another service because the final straw was these [censor] saying id have to wait another 70 minutes because they got thw wrong address. Absolutely incompetent. called American roadside assistance at 4:47 and got help in less than 10 minutes. 60 bucks well spend vs god knows how much we wasted on this [censor] for years
The worst customer service on the planet where I was yelled at when I called for roadside assistance just now. The representative''s name is Davis, he was very rude and very discourteous who should never talk to a customer in this manner until he is educated or tetrahedron about customer service. Whatever standard of service any one requests for, one should be polite enough to talk to the caller as anyone who is stuck on the street is already frustrated and nervous. He didn't even ask if I am safe, all he did is yelling and he actually tells me not so fast when I was telling him my call back # which they alreasy have. On top of the situation I am in he yelled at me and I really felt bad. Davis should know that his salary is coming from members like me. He should respect and act like professional service provider. How would he feel if he was treated the same way he treat others especially customers. I wouldn't say All state motor club in general has a bad service, but reps. Like Davis need to be punished to the extent, suspended or terminated
I was a service provider for allstate for many years they never pay worth a darn to begin with and most of the time i had a hard time geting paid as it was if you have allstate plan on waiting 2 to 4 hrs minumum for seevice all the towing companys use them for a last resort when they are twittling ther thumbs and don'thave any other calls only then do they come out they don't pay for crap and then they wonder why no one wants to tow for them people take my advice and get aaa, agero cross country or any other moter club allstate is not worth it
They suck! Today I was locked out of my car. My phone and wallet were in the car. I called allstate motor club, they left me stranded for 3 hours! I told them my cell was in my car and I was locked out. What did they do? they kept calling my cell and texting my cell. When I did not answer they cancelled the call! I'm dumping them tomorrow...
I haven't seen a motor club yet that doesn't plainly tell you in the materials that you can be cancelled for excessive use. I have been a member of AAA and also Allstate. Both of them made it clear before I joined that there were limits to the use of the service. The whole idea of having a motor club is for emergencies - and unfortunately there are members that use the service for every little problem that arises. I am not saying that you did this - but enough people do this that is raises the cost of the Club. Allstate was a life saver on more than one occasion for me when I was caught out on the road miles from any services.
Horrendous service
Where to begin...? I took out a policy with Allstate Motor Club because they are my insurance provider and have so far been great. But don't be fooled by the introductory price, Allstate Motor Club provides a HORRENDOUS service. 1). They took six months to send me my membership details, despite me contacting them several times. So when I did require...
