Fraudulent charges on my credit card
Mobilicity appeared on my credit card statement with several charges totaling to $56, I don’t recall using any of their services and I have no idea how they’ve managed to steal my money like that. I called them and asked for refund, they said ok, but ever since that I haven’t heard from them and no money was transferred to my account.
no reception
I paid 169 $ for a cell phone plus 3 months calls with mobilicity. When i got back to UBC there was no reception and the phone was useless. When I returned to Davie St. they refused to give my back my money, and said I had to go out to Mobilicity in Surrey. I phoned them in Surrey, and the guy who answered said they were about to boost the signal and it would be in place in 1 to 2 weeks. I waited but still no reception. When I went to Mobilicity in Surrey, they refused to give me my money back. The excuse this time was that I had used 55 minutes of talk time and it had to be less then 30 minutes for a refund. Mobilicity just take your money on false pretences as they knew they had no coverage in UBC, and I had told them my address, and still they sold me the phone. They then used every strategy to avoid giving me a refund. Now I have a useless phone and had to go to another cell phone company and buy another phone. I would warn people to be very careful before they have any dealings with Mobilicity. geraldine p.
Mobiliicity is the worst company ever. They should be shut down. I have canceled my service. They got my prepaid service. They are trying everyway to avoid refund. First they told me it take 6 to 8 weeks, and today 12 weeks, still no refund. I called the Customer service, they have to re issue the complaint, another 6 to 8 weeks. I asked for corporate office, they refused. I am still waiting. Customer service sucks. The signal is weak. Useless. Garbage. Stay away.
Bs. Mobilicity at metrotown burnaby is trying to take a 200 dollar deposit that was suppose to be given to me on the 14th of december. I have tried 3 times and its a different excuse everytime. Im about to take a baseball bat to the manager. My contract says that i can only get the deposit 14 days after the 3 months. Wich is today dec. 28. The manager is telling me i can get it on jan 2. Well the contract clearly says if its past the 14 days they dont have to give it to me. Im pissed and alot of people are going to be hearing it from me. I hope 200 bucks is worth a broken jaw
SHAME ON MOBILICITY! Yet another example of a company not caring about anything but our money. Same scam happened to me. Mobilicity assured me according to their 'coverage map' i would have reception at home. Used the phone all day, got home to absolutely no reception. Returned the phone and cancelled the account the next day, and they refused to refund my 1st months payment due to over usage. Clearly Mobilicity is to blame for this problem, as i have NO COVERAGE at home, however they have chosen to STEAL my $$
Mobilicity Gold Dealer ripoff
I am a Gold Dealer for Mobilicity and have had nothing but problems and/or been lied
to.
Here is just some of what I have gone through in the last few months.
1) Signed up as a Gold level dealer and was told I had to purchase phones for stock
for my store..No problem. So I purchased 10 cellphones for stock. A couple of days
after purchasing the phones Mobilicity drops the price by $20 to $40 per phone! I
complain and am eventually told to "Take one for the team" by my rep even though she
had previously promised to make it up to me...
2) I wait for over 2 months to have my signage & display installed in the store after
many promises of it being done within a week!
3) I am promised 2 Free dealer lines...Still waiting LOL
4) They test my bank account info and after me completing a transaction, it turns out
they copied onto their system or whatever incorrectly and now want to charge me $50
for THEIR MISTAKE!
5) After me repeatedly asking for them to keep their word and compensate me or take
the phones back (Again like I had been promised they would) They cancel my account
without even telling me!
6) After being pressed Andy Shum finally admits to me that my dealer account has been
closed (Because of inactivity--even though they suspended it because of the phone
and/or chargeback issue). I threatened to sue them as I have proof of what has
happened from emails so then they do the following.
a) They re-activate my account and say it will now be terminated at the end of my one
year period (Coming up this mid August) and that they had never closed it to begin
with! LOL
b) So I responded with -OK I'd like to go to the business meetings/dealer training to
which I am told by Andy not to bother and that from now on we should only respond by
email.
THIS COMPANY IS TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY DISHONEST AND DISREPUTABLE!
I COULDN'T ADVISE ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AS YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!
They won't even give me my $500 deposit back as they now say it was given to a third
party company and they are not responsible for it!'
THEY ARE A JOKE! DON'T BE ROBBED BY THEM ALSO...TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE...
If some of you would like to get together and work out a lawsuit email me

Something similar happened to my husband, who signed up with Mobilicity a little more than two weeks ago. He needs a cell phone because he's on call, and last night, between 10:15 and 10:45 p.m. in Edmonton, calls to his number resulted in the message: All circuits are busy, please try later. This morning, when he tried to return the phone and cancel the account, his request for a refund was denied because he had used 66 minutes of air time. As previously noted, Mobilicity's phones do not work on other systems. Mobilicity offered unlimited local calls, but the roaming icon appeared while he was well within city limits. Bad service, bad advertising -- bad experience.
absolutely right, Mobilicity network sucks big time. In last 2 weeks (end of March - April 6, 2011) their network didn't work at least 3 days. When talking to CSR's they are aware of this problem, trying to reset something from their side but lost connection is lost connection.
Customer shouldn't pay for experimental stage of badly design network.
