Employee Pay
My son worked for Top Gun Promotions Inc. He worked very hard and made a certain amount of sales and according to their commission schedule, we had his check figured at around $200, he worked 5 days, and after they took out shortages and a bunch of other stuff, he only made $40 with no real explanation except that either the credit cards did not go thru or the checks bounced. He aslo brought several other of his friends to work there and he was supposed to make commission off of their sales, and they did sell some and got a paycheck, however, they did not put these commissions on his check telling him the same thing. Their customers either bounced a check or gave a bad Credit Card. They may do legitimate business with service centers, but where they make their money is scamming these poor teenagers. His first 2 checks were what they said they would be, they gave him a shirt and charged him almost $40 for it and took it out of his check when they told him the shirt would only be $11. That is down right pathetic that they are getting these kids to work so hard and then not pay them what they deserve. My son could have made more money at a minimum wage job.
Fraud and cheating
The auto care super save sold by top gun promotions is a scam. They are door to door salesman pretending to be in college selling great deals for auto care. THIS IS A SCAM! The top gun promotions collects 80.00 for every card they sell and the shop gets nothing. Hmmm. sounds pretty dumb to me. I bought one and the shop told me they stopped taking them over...

In November 2007, we had a door-to-door salesman come to our house selling Auto Care Super Saver cards. The card was $80 (due right then) and had services including 5 free oil changes and multiple discounts for other auto services to a local auto shop. It had a big note on the front claiming it was an over $800 value. We thought this seemed like a good idea, but were worried that once we locked into it, we couldn't get out. The salesman informed us that we had 3 days to cancel it if we changed our minds.
Realizing 3 days was not a long time, especially since we bought the card on a holiday weekend, my husband took the card in to get an oil change on the 1st business day after the card was purchased to the Big O Tire that would redeem the card. After the oil change, the manager punched the card and told my husband he just needed an $8 service fee to be paid. My husband refused saying that there was no such fee listed on the card. The manager and my husband got into a yelling match and he would not give him the car keys. It was only when the manager saw other customers starting to leave the store because they were uncomfortable that he finally gave in and let my husband leave with no fee.
For the next 3 days, his car leaked oil. When we took it to another place to check it out, they said the cap was not put on tightly. It was tightened and the oil topped off, with us paying $12 out of pocket.
We called Top Gun and told them of the experience and that we wanted a refund. It took over 2 weeks and multiple phone calls to get anything accomplished. At first, they were not going to do anything for us, but other customers started calling in to complain about the same Big O manager, so they said that since we weren’t the only ones to complain about him, they would give us a new card. It took almost 8 weeks, and two reminder calls from us to them, for the new card to be mailed to us. The new card was to a place farther away from our home (about a 30 minute drive), and located next door to a XXX adult bookstore. Not exactly what I had envisioned, but we figured that there was not much we could do about it – they only have cards to certain places.
I took my car in for an oil change, and after hearing the wait was almost 3 hours that I could not spare, I had to go to a place down the street and pay for an oil change. I decided calling Top Gun to complain again would do me no good, so I would try the place again when the next oil change was due.
This morning, I made the trek into town with my two young kids in tow. When we arrived, we had to park in the aforementioned bookstore's lot as a truck was blocking the entrance to the Goodyear shop our new card was to. I walked in and was told there was a 2 hour wait, and that I could use the card, but due to oil prices going up, would have to pay an additional fee. I just walked out.
I have called Top Gun and left a message, though I am doubtful I will get a return call or my money back, no matter how hard I might try. This has taught me an invaluable lesson: to not purchase things from door-to-door salesmen, no matter how good the deal is. I have found many other complaints about this company on multiple websites, and shockingly, a few people raving about the service. I have no idea how an experience like this could be good, but after mine; I felt it was important to let others know to think twice before purchasing one of these cards.
*Note “ the only contact information on the card for Top Gun is a phone number, so I had to look them up to get a local address, as this number is located in Texas.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Charged my credit card fraudulantly. All efforts to resolve issue have been fruitless... no way to contact any person associated with company.
Awesome customer service! Defiantly not a scam! Very pleased with the service, OUTSTANDING to say the least.
I got a great deal and SAVED TONSSSSS thanks Auto Care Super Saver for making my auto life easier, TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! what a few bad reviews, there are going to be a few snide comments, I have bought several every yr! so what a few bad apples on the ground when Your company is a growing tree! one of the last few companies who knows what they are doing run by amazing management (:
Company will be out of business shortly and company VP, Joe R. Gast will be indicted by the State of Texas on numerous counts including fraud, false accounting, and perjury from a prior investigation.
After a week still trying to get a refund. Check the BBB website Auto Care Super Saver has several complaints.
sure they list the phone number. But just try and call it...guess what they don't pick up and will tell you that you need to deal directly online with them. They have a ton of restrictions to returning the card and will still process the your card. DONT BUY FROM THEM

Obviously this idiot is a disgruntled competitor of Top Gun Promotions. Top Gun Promotions sells 1, 000's of Super Savers per week and this guy and one other were the only ones that had a problem the last 20+ years. This guy somehow knew who our company was when the sales rep came to the door? Sounds like a good fish story. Oh, by the way our website is www.AutoCareSuperSaver.com, its been there for 10 years.
Absolute horrid experience with the young man that came to my house. Very cheerful and elated when I opened the door. I listened to his pitch for a a couple of minutes, but just knew something wasn't right. Door-to-door sales is a dead concept. Know only shady companies offer biz this way these days.
I politely told the gentleman I was not interested, but thanked him for his offering. His expression hit the front porch, then rudely said, "If you weren't interested, why did you let me set out here and sweat. Just ###ing tell me 'no' from the beginning so I don't have to waste my time." Luckily, he turned right around and walked away. Had he not, he would have done so with a fat upper lip.
Glad to see others calling out a company of this nature.

call the semi owner...his name is joe gast...he wont like that youre calling him but you need justice, right? his personal cell is [protected]
A bit of a hostile retort for the Top Gun Promotion's spokesman. What is the companies website anyway? A company that has lasted 21 years surely must have a website for their customers...Right?
