Transmission Citi Payment, car repair and contract

I, Darryl Fields am filing this complaint because of false information (advertisement) and bad services I have been receiving. I looked up this transmission company online at: (www.transmissionciti.com) to get a transmission price for my Volvo. On or about (2 Nov 10) called this Company at: [protected]) and got a Mrs. Joyce on the phone. Mrs. Joyce and I had conversation about fixing my car, promotions, discounts and credits. The prices she gave to me over the phone to repair and fix the box was less than $600.00, to repair and fix the transmission was less than $1, 500.00. Mrs. Joyce and I spoke of the cost to fix my car and the contract based on the conversation we had. She informed me to wirer the money to one of the Banks that was in the contract so that they can get started. I transferred and deposit $894.11 into Bank Of America Acct# [protected] on or about (3 Nov 10). I called Mrs. Joyce to verify if she received the faxed documents and money so the repairs can began. She did conferred receiving the documents and money. After a few days, I called Mrs. Joyce to see how things were going. She informed me that my car was being looked at. Mrs. Joyce called me back around (8 Nov 10) to informed me of the repairs and rebuilding on my transmission. After a few days, I called Mrs. Joyce to see how things were going. I got her answering machine and I left her a message to call me back. A few more days later, I called Mrs. Joyce again and got her answering machine. I left her a message again. I continue to call many more times and leaving massages on her answering machine. I still have not heard from Mrs. Joyce or the Company. On or about (2 Dec 10), I received a message from Mr. Chris about my car and transmission. I called Mr. Chris on or about (2 Dec 10) and I left him a message to call me back about my car. Mr. Chris called back to informed me about my car and that Mrs. Joyce is no longer with the Company. He informed me that he will be handling my repairs for my car. I asked Mr. Chris why no one from the Company has called me until now (2 Dec 10). He informed me that he just got the message after going through messages from Mrs. Joyce's. Mr. Chris informed me that the transmission shop (Speed Car Auto Repair; Mr. Tony) cannot repair my transmission. Mr. Chris said the transmission shop would have to put a new transmission in the car and it will cost extra for me. After this, Mr. Chris informed me of the repairs to my car and the new price of a new transmission over $3000.00. I informed Mr. Chris of the conversations Mrs. Joyce and I had in the past. I informed Mr. Chris of the cost different between his and Mrs. Joyce. I informed Mr. Chris that Mrs. Joyce said to me that if there is additional cost, the Company will pay for it and that I (Darryl Fields), will only pay $1, 297.32. Mr. Chris goes on to say Mrs. Joyce is no longer with the Company and that he will be taking over the work. He said he will go back through Mrs. Joyce tapes of our conversations and notes to see what was said. Mr. Chris said he will email me today (2 Dec 10) of the new contract and cost of a new transmission. At the same time, I asked Mr. Chris to attach his Boss and Manager number to the email that he was sending. I received the email from Mr. Chris, but no Manager or Boss number attached to in his email. I tried calling Mrs. Chris many of times on or about (2 and 3 Dec 10) and got his answering machine. I left him massages to call me. He has not replied. I emailed Mr. Chris around (4 Dec 10) to call me and he has not replied. I tried calling Mr. Chris around (8 Dec 10) and got his answering machine again. I left him a massage to call me. He still has not replied or called. I emailed Mr. Chris again around (8 Dec 10) to call me and he still has not replied. I informed Mr. Chris of the cost different between his and Mrs. Joyce. So as of today, I have not heard from Mr. Chris, Mrs. Joyce or the Company. I have since transferred and deposit $894.11 and have not received my money back. I am asking for all of my money back so that I can get my car fixed. I do not have documents in hand at this moment. Please send me your email at: [protected]@yahoo.com and I can pro you documentation. You can contact me at: [protected] (CP) or email: [protected]@yahoo.com. Thanks for your support.

This company still has my car 12/19/2001 and its been over two months. They stopped taking my calls and there seems to be no one to talk to from the company. I did call the shop and they are waiting for the transmission to come back from being rebuilt. Find out there phone number and address before you decide to use them. The BBB needs this to fill out a complaint...

Transmission Citi Rip off

I had my Ford Excursion quoted by this rippoff artist for a transmission rebuild of approximately $1, 800.00. Transmission citi also stated maximum of $1900.00 The shop in San Marcos, TX, B&M Transmission stated it would take about three days to rebuild. Well long story short the tab came to $2, 900.00 with transmission cities fee of $1, 000.00. The transmission lasted five months and I took it back due to slipping of the transmission. Needless to say neither Transmission citi or B&M transmission would warranty their work or parts. I took my Excursion to Ford and for $3, 500. they installed a fully warranted (100, 000 miles) rebuilt transmission which 40 k miles later is still performing wonderfully.

First of all...they only accept CASH deposit into their bank account, they don't tell you this upfront. Also, the deposit is non-refundable and is required prior to opening your tranny and repairing it, not upfront about this either. This price is between $890-1100 approx.
Please read the other complaints, my situation is going much like theirs (not good and not cheap).
If you've already contracted with them, you can't get your vehicle back until they get their money. Then you will have to pay for the shops costs, which will be another $200-400. The deposit is for Tranone not the shop!
Lastly, the shop is not allowed to talk to you about; the cost, the problem, or the repair that is needed.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
THEY ARE A SCAM!

I am the newest victim of tramsmission Citi. I was quoted 1297.00 to replace tranny. Once they had my. Car, the price went up to 2845. I told them I didn't want the work done, they told me it would be an additional 600, to get car back. They took me for $890.00 and nothing was done to my vehicle.

Transmission Citi Warranty

I had my transmission fixed on 9/15/08 all the arrangements were made by transmission citi and it ended it up costing me twice what they initially quoted. Now 7 months later 5/1/2009 I am having
the same problem and I was told that they will only pay 1/2 for parts
and I will have to pay 100% labor this is after a rebuild with only 7 months and 7000 miles, The contact man Gary is nothing more than a rip off artist any who goes thru this company will end up getting ripped off

It sounds like everybody has the same story about this company. I was told the same thing about my truck. That it will cost no more than $1197 before I paid the $897 so I thought it will be a good deal. Then I got a phone call that it will cost me another $2000 to have fix. They tried to explain to that I more hard parts damage. I called the transmission shop and the lead Mech. said they are a rip off the will try and get more money from you. I called transmission citi to try and get my truck out they said it will cost me another $580 to get it out I was furious .I asked them what happened to my deposit Jocye, Gary, and Kevin said it was non refundable because the shop has already took it apart. I called the shop back and asked them why would it cost me $580 to put it back together, he said we never took it apart we just ran a diagnostic on it., I was like WOW they just lied to me. I contacted my lawyer to try and get a refund but I don't have a address for them. If any one has a address please send it to my email. pillow53@gmail.com

I contacted transmission citi .Told the my problem that i could get a rebuilt transmission for 1600 dollars . But they told me it sound like on a small problem which would cost 890 at a high of 1197. Two week after sent the transmission in for repairs.Received a email stating the parts were on order. Week late the parts didn't arrive. Called transmission citi they said the parts were not on order that I had to paid them 260 more.then they sent me a bill for 2400+ for me to sign. I call the transmission shop and pull the van to another shop which repair it for 1600. Talk to the owner of the shop. He told me that did not discount his time .And that transmission citi was going to sent a used transmission. I am look for anyone to start a class action suit. f.melfe@charter.net If anyone have the address please contact me at the address so I can have the lawyer sent the paper work.

Moral of the story is, I guess, don't pay in advance. Never heard of such a practice. Hope you get your vehicle back soon. Perhaps a Lawyer's letter is in order.

Transmission Citi Internet scam

Beware of this online transmission rebuild company this is a scam as I just got ripped off money. They quoted 1297.00 to fix transmission for my honda passport and when they took my car called me and said it will be 2400.00 dollars and I reminded him about the written quote he sent me he said he can't fix it in that price. I asked them to return my car as they were not asking more money than quoted, they asked for 500.00 dollars if I want my car back I called them several times requesting them to return my car as no work was performed on the car I was not suppose to pay anything, but they didn't listen since I want my car back I paid them to get my car. I was so upset and could not sleep well.
Again be aware of transmission citi its a scam
