I am trying to have Rhino reimburse my monthly payment as I have never seen the apartment or signed a lease. They are giving me the run around saying that the landlord has to give them the word. Who is the landlord and why if there isnt any lease? I am calling my bank right now to get this straight. They are a huge scam and I want out of any agreement.
Huge SCAM!

Please assist me with this problem.

I chose Rhino's security deposit alternative for my apartment, but issues arose post-move-out.
I chose Rhino's security deposit alternative for my apartment. I renewed the contract in August for another year. However, I moved out early in February and asked Rhino to end the contract and stop charging my credit card. My cancellation request was denied in March as Rhino stated my landlord might file a claim. It's been over a month, and I haven't received any update on the claim or policy cancellation. They kept charging my card for March and April. I don't understand why I should continue paying for a policy for an apartment I no longer occupy. Despite multiple emails, I've had no response, and their website lacks helpful information. Why can't Rhino terminate the policy and stop the charges?
I filled a cancellation request on November 30, 2022 for security deposit insurance policy #*** and paid the cash deposit to my building management, but Rhino has continued to charge me for December 2022 and January 2023 (amounting to a total of $515.16 in charges). I have called and submitted emails and online requests asking for a refund and have heard nothing back. Their customer phone service is also clearly a scam, as there is no one attending to the phone and the customer is redirected to the general support email (which is also unresponsive). The cancellation button for the policy is now unavailable on the website as well and I am afraid they will continue to charge me going forward since I am unable to contact anyone or cancel via the website.
I have tried unsuccessfully to resolve a matter with Rhino in which I thought would not be a problem. Per their correspondence with me on December 24, I updated my payment method (credit card) because the credit card on file had expired in December. According to their policy and their email to me I had 15 days to resolve the issue, or my policy would be canceled. I updated my payment information and clicked the submit button. My new credit card information is on file. I thought everything was fine. I periodically checked my account and noticed that the renewal payment had not been debited. I tried contacting Rhino by calling several times to no avail, I have sent multiple emails to try and resolve this matter, but I received automated responses with no resolutions. I renewed my lease in December, and I would like to renew my policy with Rhino. My policy expired today; however, I pay annually so the payment should have been automatically debited from my account. I updated my payment method before the *** the email.
I still have not received a response regarding my refund of $326.27. The policies were canceled effective 12/06/22, due to a duplicate policy being written. I need to be refunded for these canceled policies below:
- for $310.54
- for $15.73
I have rewritten and PAID for two policies effective 12/15/22 for the same unit. I did not move out. Thank you for your prompt response.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH RHINO. I'm shocked as to the actions of this company. I was required to sign up with Rhino when I signed a lease with an apartment complex in a city with Power Properties from 2020 to 2021. My lease ended in Spring of 2021 and I've lived at home for the past two years. I noticed recently Rhino has been charging me monthly non-stop. I tried reaching Rhino online and over the phone with no luck. I called my credit card to dispute and they informed me that Rhino submitted a document to them saying I had signed a second lease with Power Properties/with them which is a complete lie. If my credit card can't resolve this I will be suing.

I rent a home, and in order to rent this home, this rental agency informed me that I needed to sign up for RHINO rental insurance, and pay a monthly fee. I noticed that each time Rhino will take money from my debit account without my permission, and I have informed Rhino *** several times that I did not sign up for auto pay. Rhino ignores me, and continues to take money, or make attempts to take money off my debit card. Rhino then sends me emails that they couldn't get any money out. It's a pre-paid debit card, and if Rhino would send me the monthly bill, I would have put the money in and paid the bill myself online. Rhino has chosen not to do this, and are not acting in good faith. I don't trust this Rhino ***, that's listed an address as: ***. There Website: *** I have notified Rhino that I'm going to use my own auto insurance company to add rental insurance to my policy I already have for my property, in case of fire, or theft, etc.I think this insurance company is a fraud, and some type of long shark company, etc.

Good afternoon,
Once again I ask you to fix a bug in your system. In my personal account, the dates of my rental are incorrect. In confirmation, I am sending you files where it is said that my rent is from July 7 to April 6. Your system says that my rent is from July 6 to January 6. It is a mistake! Please correct this error.
I also ask you to contact the managers of the local branch and notify them that the error has been fixed. I was already charged the appropriate fees, why must I pay again! I hope you can help me!
Thank you very much.
Best regards
This is my second complaint about this company I brought insurance through them because of my new lease I signed with fairlawn rental company. I contacted them in November the place has been flooding with *** and urine since we moved in June by November I lost all of my son's shoes and clothes some blankets and other household items not only did I not hear back about my request for reimbursement they cancelled my policy the very 1st of Dec while checking my bank statements on the 30 of December I realized they are still taking money out of my account for something that magically got cancelled I consider this malicious and theft they waited till the end of the month cause they won't be in their office for over two weeks
I had the money to pay my security deposit, but the landlord company literally made it to where i had to purchase a policy from RHINO. It was advertised as SECURITY DEPOSIT INSURANCE. I purchased it and moved on ($200). I also purchased RENTERS insurance from an actual local insurance company. I ended up moving out 6 months into the lease and attempted to cancel the RHINO policy. Apparently the landlord filed a claim against RHINO for a loss of rent and will continue every month moving forward. I was unable to speak to anyone on the phone with RHINO and only was able to email *** and forth with no concrete answers. I was informed that i could only cancel the policy once the claim was paid in full by me. I paid it ($2150) and went to cancel the policy and now they are saying the landlord has up to 60 days to file other claims! thats potentially over $4000 that this company is going to pay on my behalf which they will turn around and bill me for?!?! What a joke, this is false advertising and they are taking advantage of renters!

I purchased a Rhino security deposit insurance policy for a property for a year.
I purchased a Rhino security deposit insurance policy for a property with coverage from June 11, to June 30, 2022. I paid $159.40 plus $17.11 for the remainder of the lease. Upon moving out, they approved all charges levied against me by the property management without hearing my side or evidence. They just approved a claim for $1263. Their customer service number and claims department email are not listed on their site. I found it through other means. After initiating an official dispute resolution, it took over a month of back and forth with their claims department, sending photos, receipts, and details to prove my case. Rhino seems uninterested in my side, siding with the property management and their false claims. I've spent many hours on hold, awaiting responses, and received no assistance from managers. This company has provided no benefit for the money I spent. I was told by RPM customer service that my insurance covers the costs, which turned out to be untrue. Their only role seems to be to take money from me after moving out.

This business is a security deposit company. I went to view an apartment. Was told I need to fill security deposit to view my card was charged. Went to view the apartment didnt like it so I declined. multiple attempts were made to can security deposit plan with company. multiple Phone Calls with no answer. Horrible *** no one there to answer calls. Have sent multiple emails pertaining to issues I have. I received a email saying policy was canceled and will receive refund never have. This company is scamming and stealing money. This company still has the account opened and I stated multiple times to cancel it
Hello!I have been trying to get in contact with Rhino since 11/25. Their phone lines are too busy and they require you to send in an email. I have sent their business three emails and have not heard back. My policy was canceled effective on 11/24 with an effective date of 5/31. The email states a refund will be sent back the account used within 3-5 business days.I am trying to get in contact with Rhino because I have not received my refund. I dont know what else to do at this point. I would like a follow up on my refund and what is going on. At this point I would not recommend this business to anyone because getting ahold of someone is impossible!
I paid a security deposit to rhino for a place that I didnt move into , nor did I sign the lease . The apartment complex canceled it on December 7th . I received an email stating it was canceled so I would be receiving my security deposit 3-5 business days . 2 weeks later I reached out back to the complex and they then sent over proof of getting in contact with rhino cancelling my plan . They then told me to email rhino stating I never received my deposit back . Here it is 3 weeks later I never received an email back from rhino , never received my deposit back from rhino or anything .
Seriously disappointed by Rhino's negative attitude toward customers
Seriously disappointed by Rhino's negative attitude toward customers. During the past few months, I have been constantly contacting them to cancel my insurance contract, which should have ended in September because I had already moved out when the lease ended that time. BUT NOBODY responds to my emails (Yes, I sent them at least 6 emails & online applications). The company just ignores all my emails by replying to none of them, while showing a "solved" sign on its official website. SUCH A IRRESPONSIBLE action! Did you really solve the problem, how dare you declare it to be "solved"? And meanwhile, the company renewed the insurance contract for me, without even asking for my permission. my insurance should only cover 8, 2019 to 9,2020. But now, it renews my contract for another year, when I already moved out of the apartment, and my leasing office had issued an official proof for me. In a word, the irresponsible company 1, renew my contract without permission (when I had moved out), and 2, never responds my application for cancelling, nor my emails (just ignore all my emails) 3, ridiculously declare my application as "solved" which were actually not! 4, so far, the company had fraud my 3-month extra insurance fee (a total of 750 dollars). You need to solve the problem, or I will keep fight with you. Don't assume that international students are idiots.
I moved into a newly managed property and they used Rhino for renters insurance as well as for the security deposit alternative. However, upon move-in day, the property management company did not have the home ready, so I was stuck in a hotel for a month until they terminated the lease. They submitted a cancellation for Rhino and it's now December 14th, and I have two refunds owed to me that I still have not received. I've spoken to Rhino on numerous occasions and even have emails stating the refund amounts and the dates by which I should have received them, yet I have seen no money. This was two months ago and it feels like they are holding my money hostage. They don't seem to like to answer the phone or respond to their emails. I am owed a significant amount for my security deposit and $160 for a year of renters insurance. The full amount needs to be refunded; otherwise, I've started contacting my attorney who is also suing the property management company.
We had a policy with our Tenants for the rhino insurance. Somehow they allowed the policy to expire mid lease. Then they claimed they would not auto renew due to outstanding balance and claims from the tenant. They have no contact number available for property owner. When you call the renal assistance number you either wait on hold for minimum 30 minutes or are told the call center is not available to take calls during hours of operation. After finally speaking with someone, we asked to escalate the claim and speak with a manager/supervisor to which we told that there was none on call. This was during business hours, operating a company with no manager. We were finally told our tenants could proceed with opening a new policy which never processed. After multiple attempts at completing the process, say rhino once again proved their unprofessional manners when they were unable to reach out to the tenant directly. Meanwhile we have wasted hours contacting them only to find them the least helpful as can be. This company claims to protect the tenant and landlord, however this is completely false.
I cancelled Rhino and received a confirmation from Rhino on December 15th, stating that my policy was successfully cancelled. Rhino continues to try and charge my card despite the fact this policy has been cancelled. There is no response from email and they do not take calls on their phone.
Rhino is a company that provides home rental security deposit insurance to property managers for renters
Rhino is a company that provides home rental security deposit insurance to property managers for renters. When I leased an apartment at my previous address, I entered into an agreement with Rhino for an insurance policy that would cover the duration of my apartment lease. The agreement I entered into with Rhino specifically states that the policy would terminate at the time that my lease terminated. My apartment lease terminated on December ***,, which means that my Rhino insurance policy should have been terminated on the same date. The premium stated on the agreement was paid in full by the time the policy should have been terminated, which means there was no outstanding balance. The premium was paid through recurring automatic debits from my bank account. Two months after I vacated my previous residence (February ), I discovered that Rhino was continuing to debit my account for charges that are consistent with the amount that I was paying on my terminated agreement. Therefore, I logged into my Rhino account via the company's website and discovered that a new agreement had been generated by Rhino for a policy that covers the property that I vacated. The fraudulent contract reflects that I electronically signed the agreement on December ***,. However, at no point did I ever agree to renew the policy. Rhino generated a fraudulent agreement, forged my electronic signature, and withdrew funds from my bank account without ever obtaining my consent.

Policy number is confidential. My name is withheld.
I contacted Rhino through their website after a referral from a property manager. Rhino's website offers a quote for guarantor coverage for apartments. You enter personal details and apartment information, including lease pricing and terms, to get a custom quote. However, Rhino only advertises pricing for one month's coverage, not the full lease term, which is misleading. When you input your credit card details, you're automatically enrolled in the policy, a digital signature is added to the contract, and the company knows the lease coverage term needs updating. After updating the lease term as directed by Rhino employees, the actual cost is revealed. In my experience, the price increased from about $300 to $4,100. The auto-signature prevents backing out of the new pricing. Many consumers struggle to cancel the service after moving out. The policy only shows a one-month coverage amount, which is deceptive for 12-month leases. I thought my coverage was $300, but it was over $4,000. Had I known the real fee, I would not have provided my card information.

I received two Rhino claims on August 10 and August 12, 2022
I received two Rhino claims on August 10 and August 12, 2022. The claims were approved without an itemized invoice which is required by *** law. I requested to dispute the second claim *** and requested the details submitted by the landlord. I received a word document and photos - all of which are defined as normal wear and tear by the Rhino website and *** state law. Per our lease and the Rhino agreement, we are responsible for "damages" not normal wear and tear. Rhino is in breach of their own contract (Page 4, Number 2 and 3) and clearly displays negligence in their due diligence. Rhino is an avenue for landlords to submit fraudulent claims without questioning. I have not received a response from Rhino in two weeks and am requesting to speak with someone as soon as possible to resolve this matter. 2. "The Policy is issued to the Landlord solely for its benefit and provides reimbursement coverage exclusively to the Landlord pursuant to the terms, conditions and limitations set forth in the Policy, for certain physical damage, loss and costs incurred by the Landlord with respect to the Rental Property (beyond normal wear and tear)(Damages), and for lost and unrecovered economic value in respect of a Rental Property arising from, amongst other defaults, my failure to meet rental payment obligations under the Lease Agreement, including past due rent, unpaid rent, fees, costs, expenses and cancellation and other penalties (Loss of Rent) up to the Coverage Amount only."3. "If the Landlord makes a valid claim for reimbursement coverage under the Policy asserting that I breached the terms of the Lease Agreement causing Damage(s) or defaulted in respect of lease obligations resulting in a Loss of Rent (as described above), the Insurer will be obligated under the terms of the Policy issued to the Landlord to make a payment directly to the Landlord in satisfaction of such claim not to exceed the Coverage Amount."

Rhino of ** was a company I was forced to associate with for an apartment I moved into
Rhino of *** was a company I was forced to associate with for an apartment I moved into. Little did I know then that companies like this work hand in hand with slumlords to *** over people. I have had conflict regarding my move-out of the property, and while that is mostly a separate issue, they did file a claim for a ridiculous amount through Rhino. Now, these claims are ludicrous and false. I have been accused of doing damage I did not do and they will not fix. The claim process was slow-walked, making it difficult for me to be able to find a legal defense as I wanted a resolution. Rhino consistently told me that they'd work with me and would ask for my side of the story during this process. They did not. Nearly a month and a half later they finally responded, demanding me to pay, and that they were not a third party. They only responded to one of my e-mails after that, when I threatened legal action. That's not all. That was only the second claim. There was a first claim - there was a previous claim that was denied, but however they did pay the company anyways. I had caught it and questioned them, and they said it was in error, but I am pretty sure if I hadn't looked they would charge me. And researching the various e-mails, every claim number was different. There was no website portal. How do I know these are even legit?I do not feel I owe anyone any money. The whole time I was in the property was borderline fraudulent on the property's end. These are predatory practices meant to scare and harass people who don't have the means to push back. They shouldn't have lied to me, or slow walked it. The property can just claim whatever they want, but since they are a "third party" they can just approve anything, even if it's false. It's not meant to help or protect me. It's just an additional layer to attempt to *** people over and I will not be harassed. If we cannot resolve this, I would have to resort to legal action.

Long story short, a previous rental that I rented was considered uninhabitable
Long story short, a previous rental that I rented was considered uninhabitable. A legal settlement was reached to end the lease and waive specific costs on my end.I filed the cancellation through Rhino. I was still charged the next month even though I had already moved out. I was told I would receive a refund (I have yet to see this).I also have 2 claims filed against me now. 1 is for Excessive Wear and Tear and 1 is for Lost Rent. I called Rhino and emailed their recovery team stating that the property management company was unable to claim lost rent as it specifically states in our legal settlement that the rent would be waived for the final month. As for Excessive Wear and Tear, we lived there for 4 months. There was so much damage caused by the vendors they were hiring. I have plenty of pictures and videos from this. This was also agreed upon in the settlement that we would not be charged for this. I also have an email from them confirming this.I emailed my settlement, pictures, videos and emails to Rhino after I emailed the previous management company and received no response (as per usual of living there). I received no response from Rhino for over 2 weeks. Today I received an email saying they have verified all of the claims are legitimate. This needs to be reviewed by someone else. There is a legal settlement in place. There is plenty of evidence that shows that the property management company is trying to get around this settlement to recoup money.I used Rhino because I thought it had protection for the *** & the Tenant. The fact that the claims were filed with no evidence or communication and after I provided evidence, no communication was handled to me, it is starting to make me feel like this company is only out to protect the ***, even if illegal.I am going to file legal charges against the *** if this does not get settled. I have provided my evidence again.

Rhino has been the worst company to work with and my complaint matches almost to the letter other complaints I have read on here
Rhino has been the worst company to work with and my complaint matches almost to the letter other complaints I have read on here. I have also been told those who review claims are unreachable via phone.1. I received an claim against me on Sep 27th, 2022 from Rhino for the amount of my deposit. Description was Excessive Wear and Tear.2. On Oct 4th, 2022, I submitted a formal dispute against the claim as nearly all of the items were false or ones I contractually was not responsible for.3. Despite reaching out multiple times, I received no response until Oct 18th, 2022. Update: the dispute was still being reviewed.4. I continued to request updates but received no response until Oct 26th, 2022. Update: the dispute was still under review.5. I received an update on Nov 8th, 2022. The claim amount did decrease, however, it still was not accurate and did not recognize most of the documentation I presented in my dispute. The online payment portal was also never updated to reflect the reduced amount.6. On Nov 17th, 2022, I responded to this update stating my position and clearly stated my concerns about the timeframe of this dispute and how Rhino was treating me.7. After this, I never received any updates. I have continuously tried to call Rhino's support number and the call is dropped each time, or it states I have called outside of normal working hours (which is not true).8. I began sending emails/help tickets requesting an update. Random individuals would email but never did anything about the claim.9. On Dec. 16th, 2022 a "manager" emailed stating she had looked at my claim but based on her email, clearly had not. Was missing a lot of information. I informed her of this and have not heard back.10. As of this complaint, no update has been received and the online payment portal still reflects the original amount, not the agreed to lower amount.10. I have reached out to a lawyer for assistance.Rhino is committing fraudulent activity and getting away with it.

My partner and I moved into an apartment in July
My partner and I moved into an apartment in July. We were told that the only way to secure a lease was to go through Rhino as a security deposit. It was never explained by Rhino nor the apartment complex that Rhino is in fact not a security deposit company and that the money we were paying was a fee. At the end of my lease in July, my apartment complex stated that I had damage to the carpet that required a full carpet replacement along with minor issues and utilities. This brought the total amount owed to my apartment to just under ***. I disputed the carpet charges with photographic evidence that Rhino ignored. In addition, I was fully willing to pay my apartment complex but Rhino stepped in an covered *** of the balance. However, they emailed me that I owe *** which is not consistent with what the apartment complex stated that they paid. I called Rhino personally and they advised me to attach all of this in an email. I emailed Rhino with all of the screenshots of the inconsistencies in November and was told "Rhino is a third party company with no direct affiliation to your property management company. Please reach out to your property management company directly for any concerns directly related to your property management company or landlord." They never addressed the fact that the amount that they are saying that I owe is not consistent with what the landlord stated that I owed nor any of the documentation that I provided to them. How is that I payed my apartment complex money but still owe a balance to Rhino?Lastly, I was told there were payment options that were flexible but the largest payment plan option available was to pay the full amount owed over the three months *** all at one time, or over the course of four weeks. That is not flexibility. Also, they spelled my name incorrectly while addressing me, when my name was in the email I sent and is my email. Do not and I mean do not, conduct business with this company.

My previous landlord required that I enrolled in Rhino Insurance instead of a deposit
My previous landlord required that I enrolled in Rhino Insurance instead of a deposit. Now that I've moved out, Rhino has accepted several claims from ***. I provided the evidence to dispute claims and was informed that Rhino approved my evidence and that the claim of $573.50 would be reduced to $213.50. This was expressed on September 20th, 2022. Since, I've called and emailed several times asking for clarifying information as the claim amount has yet to be updated on my portal. I was told the remaining $213.50 is for "reinstall smoke alarms ($15.00), trash removal ($25.00), blind replacement ($35.00), coordination fee ($43.50), and inspection fee ($95.00)." However, when I responded with more information and clarification communication stopped. I've been told several times that I would be contacted by a manager and have yet to receive this contact. I'm concerned because when I asked if Rhino sends to collections, because I had received a final notice, they told me "not at this time but that is always subject to change at any time." With this, I enrolled to pay my other claim of $202.33 with payments of $69 and some change. Immediately after my portal began showing that "Your property filed a claim for $134.89" and that my active payments are " $46.61." I requested clarification from Rhino as the receipt for my payment plan did not confirm or include the payment plan, the payment plan amount, the claim number, nor the policy number. Many of which the sections were left blank. Finally, Rhino renewed my policy with them despite me not renewing my lease and requesting to cancel. I called on November 18 to request cancellation again, which was finally processed. However, over the phone the representative told me that if the property manager did not respond within 5-7 business days the request to cancel would be approved. This has yet to occur. While I have sent follow *** since November 23rd for all concerns expressed above, I have not received any responses.

Rhino is a very UNPROFESSIONAL business, and had I known this
Rhino is a very UNPROFESSIONAL business, and had I known this...I WOULD NEVER EVER HAVE DEALT WITH THEM, and I'd highly suggest anyone looking for help with their security deposits to look ELSEWHERE. First of all, you could absolutely NEVER get them on the phone, so them posting a phone number is totally false advertising. They'd rather communicate with people through email because they KNOW they're dishonest and are just out to steal people money. I LITERALLY did my application online in August 2022 for "security deposit insurance", for an apartment I was going to move into October 2022 in ***, . However, after the apartment community didn't move me in by the date specified, and extensive research of the area, I decided to cancel my security deposit insurance. Don't you know I spoke with these people, and they told me they would contact the property management company to verify I didn't move in or sign a lease, and that they would get back to me, so that they could move forward. The funniest part is that after I spoke with them the second time, upon verification, they apologized about keep charging my account, and ASSURED ME they would be removing my account information so that I am no longer being charged. That was in October mind you, tell me why my account still has been getting charged, and now they owe me from August 2022 to December 2022, and I want my *** money. The same way they took it off my card is the same way it should've BEEN REPLACED. This is a no brainer...I mean really. They're so UNPROFESSIONAL that they've been communicating the same thing with me through e-mail about contacting the property manager in *** about 3 or 4 times. Mind you, I've spoken to them in *** and they SPECIFICALLY STATED THAT THEY CONTACTED RHINO AND TOLD THEM I NEVER SIGNED A LEASE OR MOVED IN, so Rhino is just *** at this point. They're very money hungry and take their sweet time refunding people money back to them, that they WERE NEVER ENTITLED TO. How dare them

Me and my boyfriend got an apartment together at a complex in Houston, TX
Me and my boyfriend got an apartment together at a complex in Houston, TX. Our original move out day was February 23rd but it got extended until the 28th of February . We had to use rhino as our deposit. Upon moving out, we received bogus charges stating that we did not pay utilities in December or January. Utilities were always included in our rent balance. Our rent was 712 and with utilities on the apartments resident portal the total balance would come out between 745-760. I did not understand these charges because if I did not pay utilities for December and January, they would have been on my bill come February. But they were not, because they were paid in full. On our last month our rent total came out to 938$. I assumed it was bogus but paid it anyway. Rhino contacted me stating that we owed them 133.62$ and they sent us a move out statement with the email allowing us to see what we were being charged for. I explained to them my concerns and sent them all the LEGITIMATE proof I had. We were in contact through my boyfriends email for weeks because it would take a week in between for me to even receive these messages. They then sent me an email stating they have been trying to get in contact with the apartment landlord. The landlord finally sent them our move out statement 8 days later showing that we had a zero balance on the attached statement but Rhino said in the email subject that they reviewed my claim and agree with the charges. I then received an email two days after Rhino sent me an email from the apartment complex stating "Thank you for making Silverado your home. Please be advised there is a remaining balance on your account of $70.00 You may find your move out statement attached. You may pay this in full, or make payment arrangements with our office within 30 days from your move out date to avoid your account being turned over to a collection agency. If you have any questions or would like to make payment arrangements to protect your credit, please contact our office immediately." I got this email on March 25th, and my move out date was February 28th. Continuing on, I went to get a money order for 70$ to pay the apartment their money and I paid them 04/01. Now rhino is saying I still owe them 133.62$. The charges on the proof that I have, which was sent to me by Rhino and the apartment complex do not add up.

In October , I applied for rental insurance through a specific company
In October , I applied for rental insurance through a specific company. During the application process, I incorrectly stated my future apartment's address. I mistakenly applied for a unit in one building when I intended to apply for another. The company, lacking a customer service phone line, left me to report the error via their online system, managed by ZenDesk, on the same day. However, I only received an automated email confirming my ticket submission. While waiting for a response, the management company accepted an application for the correct unit, but due to the delay from the insurance company, our rental application wasn't reviewed by the building's management. We were still billed $122 for the insurance policy we never used. I've contacted the company multiple times via email to request a refund. On their last response, they stated they had reached out to the property manager at the wrong address and were waiting to hear back to cancel my policy and refund me. They have not corrected my account details and it's unclear which property manager they've contacted. I've seen no evidence of work on my behalf beyond a credit check and haven't received the service I paid for. My latest attempt to resolve this included sending them the welcome packet from the apartment I've moved into, hoping to clarify the situation and expedite the refund process. They continue to claim they are waiting on a property manager's response without specifying whom they've contacted.

Rhino finance and support team I received this email from, Rhino Support Team, and customer service
Rhino finance and support team I received this email from, Rhino Support Team, and a customer service representative from an email address. They are not communicating effectively, preventing me from getting a full refund for the cancellation of my policy. I've had numerous pointless email exchanges. I want my $690 returned to my account promptly and professionally. They claim to have consulted management and canceled the policy. The representative stated that it is Rhino Insurance's responsibility to refund my money. Wells Fargo hasn't received any transaction to process the refund. Why is Rhino Insurance mishandling my funds? Why is the policy cancellation refund taking over 14 business days, not counting holidays and weekends? I want my money back so I can cease doing business with Rhino. I paid my refundable deposit to avoid this hassle. I demand my hard-earned money back. This is the email I got from Rhino, including my canceled policy number, which was acknowledged but not processed for a refund to my Wells Fargo account. They tell lies to placate you while holding onto your money, leading to further losses. The portal indicates my policy has expired. A notice says I must renew my policy in 46 days as of Monday, December 19, 2022. The realtor who contacted Rhino to cancel the policy feels harassed by my inquiries and insists she has done her part; now it's Rhino's turn to issue the refund. Rhino has given no valid reason for withholding my money, only sending emails promising a refund. I no longer require Rhino's services; they've acknowledged this but refuse to take corrective action regarding my account.

Huge SCAM! Do not do it..still trying to cancel my policy after I moved out 2 months ago. Noone picks up the phone, they blame it on COVID-19?!?!?! You will lucky to get Michael or Teresa on the phone maybe or send an email once in awhile! Good luck, I am cancelling my credit card is the only way to stop recurring payments!
I've had Rhino for almost a year and there are some definite pros and cons to it. Although, I would say the biggest con isn't their fault, but the fact that the property manager will abuse the relationship. I had mine refuse to take covid relief from the county that I qualified for and I'm pretty sure it's because they could just file a claim with Rhino instead of dealing with the inspection from the county. A big pro is being able to get into a place without a major deposit, especially if you've had a landlord do some shady nonsense and put a black mark on your record like I have. The extra expense per month isn't actually bad compared with a large security deposit. I was also glad that they offer an installment pay-off for claims right now due to covid. For cons, I find their communication severly lacking. No phone number was even provided and email communication takes weeks of repeated emails before a reply. Even worse, I had paid my apartments after they filed a claim with Rhino, which is supposed to remove the claim, but then I started getting nasty grams from Rhino about paying it. When I finally got a real person to reply I insisted they give me the amount and the date it was paid to the apartments, they took another week to reply "nevermind the apartments withdrew the claim." Funny how that works. How are they going to invoice me for something that was never actually paid to my landlord? If I hand't asked, they would have just taken my money.
