March 2020 could hear rustling in my property loft. I had a look and it was pigeons.
I called my housing assosiation RHP (Richmond Housing Partnership) to find out my options.
I was told that someone would come out to fix my roof. I had two men come and fix the missing roof tiles temporarily, from the outside of my property as they stated they were not aloud into the property as it was lock down.
They had explained that there was 5 or so more roof tiles missing and this is obviously how the pigeons got in.
Once they had left I again contacted RHP to find out what happens next in regards to my loft that is now covered in faeces.
They informed me that due to the pandemic they can not send out pest control to my property and will have to wait.
I have recently called them again to find out how to book for this infestation to be taken care of, and they have stated that this is not something they deal with unless it is in a communal space.
I pay part rent to this property as I am a single mother of two and can only work part time.
I have contacted several pest control company's for quotations etc and have been told that this is an extreme health risk as the vermin have been dead for several months now.
The hatch to my loft is in my sons bedroom, and he has been suffering with bites from either fleas or mites due to the infestation.
I am unable to afford to pay for pest control. So my family's health is at risk.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
Look forward to hearing from you on this urgent matter.
