Ridleys Coaches - Avoid for school transport
We bought an annual pass for a school bus service between Claverdon and SGGS at the start of term at a cost of £1,200. This was the only option available. Unfortunately it became clear very quickly that the high pressure and competitive environment of a grammar school was the wrong fit for my sensitive daughter and we made the enormously difficult decision...

I gotta say, I've had my fair share of not-so-great experiences with Ridleys Coaches. There have been a bunch of downright scary driving incidents in our little village, all caused by these folks. It's a real bummer because when you try to complain, they somehow manage to turn it around and make it seem like it's your fault. Can you believe it? Picture this: you're just minding your own business, driving along, and suddenly a big ol' bus comes barreling towards you on the wrong side of the road. It's enough to make you wanna stay off the road whenever they're around. I mean, come on, we should know better, right?
Lack of Enthusiasm and Information from Ridleys Coaches on Lake Garda Holiday
I recently traveled to France with Ridleys Coaches and I have to say, I wish the drivers were as talkative as the thunderstorm that happened during our trip. Now, I'm not saying they were in charge of the weather, but it would have been nice if they had the same level of enthusiasm. It would have been great if they could have provided more information about our upcoming Lake Garda holiday and what was included in the coach tour.
Unprofessional Behavior by Ridleys Coaches: A Concern for Customer Safety and Reputation
So, I was in Stratford today and boy, did I witness something wild! There was this lady coach driver, right? And she was straight up shouting some nasty words out of her window at another driver! Can you believe it? I mean, come on, that's just not cool, especially when there were school children on board. Like, seriously? Not a good look for your company, Ridleys Coaches.
I really hope those kids on the bus are smart enough to know that this kind of behavior ain't something to be copied. It's important for them to see good examples, you know? But hey, mistakes happen, right? Maybe it was just a bad day for that coach driver. We all have 'em.
But still, it's a shame that this incident happened. It's not a great advertisement for Ridleys Coaches, that's for sure. I mean, who wants to support a company that allows their drivers to act like that? Not me, that's for sure.
So, Ridleys Coaches, you might wanna address this issue and make sure your drivers are representing your company in a more positive light. It's all about customer satisfaction and creating a good impression, you know? And let's not forget about the safety of those kids on board. They deserve better.
Overall, I hope this was just a one-time thing and that Ridleys Coaches takes the necessary steps to prevent incidents like this from happening again. We all make mistakes, but it's how we handle them that really matters. Let's hope for a smoother ride next time.
Ridleys Coaches: A Financial Burden for School Bus Passes
I gotta say, Ridleys Coaches really knows how to empty your pockets when it comes to school bus passes. I mean, who in their right mind can afford to dish out a whopping ?850 for just three terms of travel per child? It's like they're targeting only the wealthy folks out there. And if you happen to have two kids, well, brace yourself for a mind-boggling ?1700 bill! Oh, but wait, there's more! You gotta pay this hefty sum six months in advance just to secure those precious spots for your little ones. Talk about a financial burden!
But here's the kicker - Ridleys Coaches doesn't even offer the option of termly or monthly payments. Nope, they're all about that upfront cash, baby! It's like they're saying, "Hey, we don't care if it doesn't work for your budget or your life, this is how we roll." They've got a captive market, you see. They know we don't have any other choice but to rely on their services to get our kids to school. It's either that or we all pile into our cars and contribute to the never-ending traffic and pollution. Way to go, Ridleys Coaches, way to go.
Ridley Bus Service: Poor Customer Service and No Refunds for Unused Bus Pass
Ridley Bus service to Alcester Grammer school, ya gotta think twice before puttin' yer child on this service. There's other options like the Green Bus and such, so consider 'em first. I paid upfront for the bus pass for the whole year, but there ain't no chance of gettin' a refund, even though it says so in their T&Cs. My daughter used the bus service for just one day and then decided she didn't wanna go to the Grammer school no more.
I called up Ridely's coach service on 10. 9. 21 and explained the whole situation. I asked 'em to consider givin' me a credit note that my other kid could use next year. I even sent 'em an email on 13. 9. 21, but ain't got no response to neither the call nor the email. So, I called 'em up again on 15. 9. 21 and the General Manager told me straight up that they ain't gonna give no credit note. They compared themselves to them travel or holiday packages and said if ya ain't happy with yer holiday package and come back early, ya ain't gettin' no money back.
Let me tell ya, I rate this whole thing as extremely poor. The way the general manager handled this situation, it's just not right.
Unbearably Uncomfortable Coach Ruined Our Shearings Tour
We just got back from that tour we took on one of your coaches, and let me tell you, it was seriously uncomfortable. The seats were way too close together, like our knees were practically touching the seats in front of us. And forget about trying to stretch out your legs by putting your feet under the seats in front, it was impossible! Plus, when the people in front of us decided to recline their seats, it felt like we were trapped in a tiny box. It was a claustrophobic nightmare, I'm telling ya.
The whole journey was just unbearable, and my wife and I couldn't help but wonder if this coach was only meant for short day trips, not a grueling 19-hour trek from Calais to Lake Garda. So, we did a little Google search on your company, and it seems like school trips are your bread and butter. And you know what? That totally makes sense, because one of the drivers even mentioned that after our trip, he'd be off doing school trips for a few days, and then another Shearings tour. It's like your coaches are made for school kids, not for us regular folks looking for a comfortable ride.
Not only were the seats uncomfortable and cramped, but the seat belts were a disaster too. They didn't operate smoothly at all, and we were practically getting strangled every time we tried to buckle up. I mean, come on! Safety should be a top priority, right?
All in all, your coach totally ruined our Shearings tour. It was hands down the worst holiday we've ever been on. We're so disappointed that we've already reached out to Shearings to let them know about our terrible experience. They need to know that your coach made their tour a complete nightmare.
