Mark Clayton runs a business called Right choice Refreshments . My husband and I used his product for several years. It’s a cylinder that is part of a soda machine so that you can make your own soda’s. In December 2008, my husband, Todd Aure, called RCR’s and asked for directions to their business so that he could return the cylinder. This was required by the contract to which we agreed. Todd returned the rented cylinder the day after he called for directions.

It is now November 2010 and I, Gina Aure, received a phone call from Mr. Clayton. This is almost 3 years after the completion of our business with him. He told me that we owed about 300.00 for not returning the rented Cylinder. I told him when and where we returned it. He said that building (the one we returned it to) had burned down a year before we returned the cylinder. When asked, he refused to tell us the date that building burned down. The building was indeed there when we went to it!

Then he told us that he had been sending us a bill every month since that time ( Dec. 2008). We never received a bill during all these years. It seemed a bit odd because prior to that time, we only received a bill once a year for about 12.00 dollars, which we paid. I do not understand why he would begin to send monthly bills and not call us if he believed we didn’t return something.

During my phone conversation with Mr. Clayton, he read from a note put in a computer that said “ Mr. Aure called asking for directions to the business in order to return the rented cylinder.” Prior to this note Mr. Clayton read to us that we had paid our rental fees up until that point. (the point at which Mr. Aure called and asked for directions to the business) Obviously we stopped paying after that because we RETURNED the product.

Mr. Clayton would not give us any information other than what was written in his computer. He was difficult and treated us both very badly. Mainly our concern is that he can charge us over 300.00 and there is nothing we can do about it even though we honored our end of the deal.

Also, this week he finally did send us a bill.
