100% Professional Silversmith. Our project was to repair a large multi-branch candelabra and my wife and I could NOT be happier with the work that was done. This was not an easy job and Rita explained what the issues were, her recommendations, and executed the repair on a very timely basis. She is our "go-to" silversmith for sure! This group restored an ornate 19th century silver kiddush cup to perfection. It was badly tarnished, unstable, and, because of an over-zealous botched cleaning job, was riddled with fine holes. Robben Metal Restoration had it ready in a few days and were able to deliver it in time for my daughter's wedding. I will be forever grateful to them for their professionalism and artistry.

I sent 55+ year old silver candlesticks to Robben Restoration that were completely black. They also had a few dents from being dropped. What I received back were candlesticks that looked better than new! I'm so pleased with the work that I'm looking for more silver to send to Robben for restoration. I plan to gift them to my daughter for her 20th anniversary, I know she'll love them.

Robben Metal Restoration worked with me several times while I had sent many pieces of silverplate twisted master butter knives to be refinished and polished. The team at Robben Metal Restoration was more than just accommodating and helpful - they worked with me, made some suggestions on some of the pieces and were just delightful to work with. I was very satisfied with the outcome and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

The handle on an antique pickle castor we bought broke. It had apparently been fixed before. The restoration by Robbin was so good that you cannot tell that the handle had ever been broken. The metal was a perfect match and the polish was excellent so that it matched the antique look. The fee for restoration was a very fair price for the quality. I would highly recommend Robbin for any metal restoration.

Robben Metal Restoration did a FABULOUS job on my work. They repaired a beautiful candelabra, restored a sliver tray and repaired a sliver mirror. The process of working with Rita was a real pleasure. She was personal, professional and prompt, and treated my family heirlooms with the care and attention they deserved. Amazing service, attention to detail. Really knowledgeable in this area. I was so happy with the results. I would highly recommend this establishment for any of your fine antique or other precious items that need to be repaired. I had an antique silver plated butter dish that I broke one of the legs and really needed to have this item repaired or restored. I was so pleased when it came back fixed and you can hardly see where it was damaged.

Outstanding workmanship performed on an heirloom Teapot that our Rottie ran into the bookcase it was displayed on, it fell off the shelf, and a foot and the handle broke off. Robben Metal Restoration reinstalled the foot and handle, followed up by a superb polishing, made the Teapot look better than new! At this point you can't tell that it was ever damaged. Robben Metal Restoration will definitely be our go-to business if we ever need any future Metal Restoration.

Robben Metal Restoration far exceeded any expectations I had about restoring a silver candle stick that was in rough shape. Rita R is an amazing metal smith who transformed a sad looking piece into one that is absolutely perfect! Rita explained what needed to be done so I felt very confident in her expertise. I just could not be happier with the finished product and was truly in awe when unwrapping the finished product. Ms. Robben Metal Restoration polished several pieces of sterling for us recently. The result was absolutely beautiful, even for a piece that had been quite marred. Beyond that, Ms. Robben Metal Restoration was a delight to visit with. She very patiently answered all our questions and provided insights that were very helpful and informative. In the past, we had (unsuccessfully) spent some time trying to locate someone who could address our sterling flatware questions. We are so thankful to have made the acquaintance of someone so knowledgeable and kind to share her time and expertise, as Ms. Robben Metal Restoration.

I contacted Rita Robben about a set of silverware that belonged to my grandparents. It was in excellent condition except for the knives. The silverware is from 1906, and the knives were silver. Unfortunately, the blades were scratched and discolored. I liked the Robben website and heard back from Rita within a day. I planned to give the set to my niece for her wedding gift, and I wanted to make this special. Rita was on board and helped me through the process by answering my questions and explaining the repair. The result is a dazzling set of silverware. Rita Robben is an excellent restorer and outstanding support throughout the process.

I found Robben Metal Restoration on the Internet and used them to repair a 10 inch tall silver candle holder that had become wobbly. I reached out to them via an email and received a telephone call from them within a matter of hours. They asked a few questions to clarify the issue with the candle holder and then described what they thought it would take to repair it and gave me an estimate of the cost, which I thought was very reasonable. Their communication throughout the process was excellent. The candle holder was repaired and returned in less than two weeks. I could not be happier with the finished product.

As we do not have local silversmiths in our area, I found Robben Metal Restoration online. I emailed inquiry to Rita to repair twin Candelabras from my husband's family. The bases were separated and an arm was broken. Rita responded quickly with an estimate. Recognizing the high skill and expertise needed to repair these precious metal artifact, I accepted the fee to repair our family treasures.I sent them for repair and received them beautifully repaired in a couple of months. My husband was truly delighted to see the candelabras that were expertly repaired to look like new with highly polished finish and smooth silver finish . As everyone does these days, I found Robben Metal Restoration online, and wasn't sure what to expect. I sent pics and received a quote. Still, I was hesitant to ship a 30 yr old wedding gift half way across the country. That hesitation changed after I spoke to Ms. Robben at length by phone. Originally I was only going to send her one candlestick that had been damaged and sitting in a drawer for at least 20 years. After we discussed what she could do, including machine polishing, I decided to send her all four pieces. When she received my pieces, she noted other minor damages. These were all things I was aware of, but had not worried about repairing. Ms. Robben provided a quote for all of the extra work and we moved forward. The work was completed in the time she estimated, and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The entire set now gleams like the day I received it 30 years ago. She did an excellent job, and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to bring something back to life.

I am absolutely delighted to now have a reliable, courteous, timely, responsive, personable, skilled, fair- priced, sensible metal restorer. *** (Robben Metal Restoration) and her team have been absolutely marvelous in helping me to restore a Victorian epergne: a wedding present to my grandmother in *** (year), and a pretty silver cake stand which had separated from its pedestal. At the same time I sent 3 silver-plate Table Spoons for possible repair and replating. With caution not to offend me, *** (Robben Metal Restoration) gently enquired if my spoons were sentimental. After I indicated not sentimental, she offered me some replacement items in very good shape for a fraction of what I would have needed to pay for replating of my spoons. The cake stand and epergne are astonishing. We are simply delighted. Now let me say getting to *** (Robben Metal Restoration) was AFTER approaching silver repair establishments in Chicago area. One business indicated my items were not worth to repair and NO interest in helping me. In another case only 1 elderly technician was available, with a very long wait and needing a long drive and an appointment. Another silver repair place in Chicago area in past years applied LAQUER without my asking, to 2 SILVER ELKINGTON PLAQUES from 1891. I was cross. Do yourself a favor and put your trust and special items in the care of *** (Robben Metal Restoration). You will not be disappointed, instead will be so very happy.
