Robert Half International Emily Krous direct hire recruiting manager accounting operations - Sacramento

Hello I was contacted by Emily Krous

Direct Hire Recruiting Manager Accounting Operations - Robert Half Sacramento today 7/26/2023 via phone call about getting a job. However, my experience was not professional. It also did not contain any info about any jobs she might have.

When I stated my pain point of employers not getting back to me to inform me of my interviews. She right away started to ask things along the lines of: have you had anyone look at your resume, have you practices interview procedures, have you done any skill growth. And also kept stating that I left my past employer and I kept having to correct her (3 or 4 times). My last employer went out of business I did not leave. While knowing what I have and have not done is important to help me improve my chances of getting a job. Collecting Information and not pointing fingers is much better. I felt attacked and like I had to prove my worth. Mind you I do not have much relations with this person yet. She insisted on sending me a corrected edited version of my resume. This seemed the whole point for her call as we never did discuss any jobs. First I had my resume edited and looked at by my previous employers hiring person. Second, I have taken other courses like squarespace and currently some other courses on Linkedln to help my skill set grow such as AI, Entrepreneur, QuickBooks, excel and others to make sure my skills are up to date. So you can see why I was insulted. But none of this was relayed instead I spent the remainder of the conversion defending myself. And felt insulted after the conversation and like I was not worth her time. I never received said email she said she would send. As someone who is a "Manager" I find pointing fingers with out knowing all the key factors like what questions are the interviewers asking? How am I the Job seeking responding? Where do I feel I am most stuck with in the interview process? This allows me to feel heard and not under a microscope and feeling shame for having some difficulty getting a job. As I was with my last employer 5 YEARS! She also stated that what I wanted for compensation was to high for the amount of skill I had... again putting me down. Perhaps my pay request is high but no need to add that my skill set is low. I have worked with Robert Half before in the Fremont location and I know this company prides its self on the customer services it provides for its clients. I did NOT receive that same customer service today 7/26/2023. I am willing to grow and learn what I must to get a new job but I will not do it at the cost of someone looking down on me! I will not use her or this branch and stop recommending this place to the 400 other employees who also lost there job with my last employer. I wish for this to be resolved asap.

Desired outcome: I wish for her to be talked to by a Supervisor or Director about how to manage clients when they are having troubles with my situation. How to solve said pain point and correct questions to ask.

Robert Half International The Houston offices

I have had several positions at Robert Half, but when I reached out after my other contract ended, the put me on an assignment but I got COVID and was hospitalized, I thought I could go ahead and start but the morning of I was so dizzy I couldn’t stand. I was in constant contact with them. Since then (January) I have reached out to many recruiters with ZERO response. I keep applying, I email and call recruiters no response. Finally I heard from Amber who said that one of the 1 day assignments said I did not show up, I called and texted the manager of the business, it was not a no show. I was doing my best taking 1-2 day assignments all over Houston, I had rave reviews, but because I was sick with COVID, I’m blocked? That’s discrimination. Amber reached out to me to apologize and say she’d look into it and call me back…no call. Is it common practice at Robert Half to simply ignore people who have worked hard for them?

Desired outcome: To be placed in a temp to perm position.

Robert Half International Regarding people who fraudulently made money using your company's name

You contacted us through telegram using the company name and got a project for $2200. Once it is successfully completed and delivered, they will block Telegram connections without paying. We took up this project because you gave us the details saying that it is related to the Aayat.

This causes a lot of damage to your organization. They hand over these projects saying that you are related to the organization. Evidence for this is attached below.

Desired outcome: I think that they will be acted against. He kindly said to give me money if you are a member of the organization. A quick reply is required to the following email address.

Robert Half International Wrongful termination

Dear Nikki:

Thank you so much for your recent phone call regarding my assignment with the George Washington University (GWU) School of Political Management through the Robert Half Agency on Friday, July 22nd. I really appreciated the message you left indicating the importance of supporting Robert Half employees and gaining the best understanding of any challenges, as well as successes, which are experienced during the experience. I also appreciate your immediate response to my online inquiry regarding pursuing the arbitration process and affording me the opportunity to submit my concerns in writing.

I am submitting this correspondence due to the lack of information and my understanding of how and why my assignment was terminated within less than 11 workdays. I had been in communication with Mr. James McField, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, since January 5, 2021, regarding opportunities in the DMV area. My family was in the process of transitioning during that time, and I wanted to get ahead with seeking professional opportunities. James advised that I reconnect with him once I was closer to relocating and I did so in early April 2022. After a few email exchanges, James and I were able to connect, and he forwarded me to his colleague Mr. Mark Williamson who interviewed me and guided me through a potential opportunity with Georgetown University. This opportunity never materialized, and I never heard back from Mark even after sending a follow-up email on May 19, 2022. Fortunately, I did hear back from James who informed me about this incredible opportunity with the GWU Graduate School of Political Management. I was thrilled because I am a former GWU School of Business employee and experienced great professional development and relationships that I have maintained to this day.

Unfortunately, there are some issues that occurred that were not brought to my attention by James nor my direct supervisor, Ms. Sarah Gannelle, between July 5th and July 19th. In this correspondence, I would like to share my concerns and suggest recommendations that I believe would be fair and equitable based upon the circumstances. This letter is divided into two portions: 1) Issues on my part that may have caused concern with the GSPM leadership team and 2) My specific concerns with the manner in which the evaluation of my performance resulting in termination was managed.

Issues related work ethic and expectations:

I was able to email both Sarah and James on Monday, July 18th regarding my admission to the hospital on Saturday due to medical issues. I thought that I would be released by Monday morning, but I was not until Tuesday. I contacted them both and they wished for a speedy recovery. Sarah suggested that I speak with James about any sick leave policies or issues. I contacted James upon my release and asked if I would be able to make up the hours for Monday. Around 10:57 am on Tuesday, July 19th, James suggested that I reach out to Sarah regarding making up the hours. Then, around 4:57 p.m. on the same day he suggested that we connect before reaching out to Sarah. I agreed but asked for a time and informed him that between 7am-8am, I am usually in route to GWU via the train and metro.

I arrived to the GWU site on Tuesday, July 19th on time and gained access through another employee in the building (Note: I still did not have a card to access the building). The new recruiter let me into the office, and I received a call from James. He asked if I was able to talk and I said “Yes, let me give you a call outside.” Once outside, I returned the call to James, and he asked how things were going on the site. I responded that it was great and for this week I was looking forward to meeting with prospective students alone with Ben Evans, Admissions Officer, oversight, and coaching. James then informed me that the GSPM staff had decided to terminate my assignment and I needed to gather my belongings immediately. He added that he attempted to reach me earlier in the morning so that I would not even arrive on site. This news of course baffled me and inquired about the problem. He basically and vaguely stated the following:

• Sarah reported that I had taken extended lunches (past the 30 minutes). This is true. Although not habitual, I did report back from lunch 10-15 minutes late, but I documented the time and did not try to make it up for the day.

• James also noted that I was away from the office from extended amounts of time. This is simply not true on a few days. On Thursday, July 14th, where I had a family emergency and took a call outside the GSPM building that caused me to miss a 3pm prospective student meeting where the new recruiter and I would listen to Ben engage with the student. He called me twice and I was unable to answer. Upon completing the call, another GSPM staff member was leaving work and saw me sitting on the bench outside the building. She said, “Are you ok, the staff was concerned that something happened to you.” I explained the situation and she was very sympathetic and suggested that I return to the building to speak to Ben Evans. I did so. He did not seem worried or concerned at all and was adamant that he could not talk because he had to go to class. I apologized for raising concern and that I would see him tomorrow.

• On Friday, July 15th (which is one of the days that I work remotely) Ben emailed me about a last-minute meeting with a prospective student. It is important to note that I am still using my personal gmail account at this time because the GWU Technical team, while working hard to get my GWU email going, was not successful. I did not see this email until after the meeting had taken place. This was interesting because Ben has my cellphone number and like on Thursday, July 14th, he could have sent a text.

• On Wednesday, July 15th, I needed to get my husband to the airport and did not arrive to work until about 11:15 a.m. I informed Sarah about this matter. However, Ben sent me a text saying we have not heard from you is everything ok. I said yes on the way now.

• James also mentioned during this brief call that Ben Evans, the Admissions Officer, had reported that I made him uncomfortable. This was VERY concerning for me because I had few and limited interactions with Ben during my 11 days of work. The interactions were in the school’s conference room where we met with students in person or online. At some periods, he would come into our shared office space to make recommendation about tasks/projects to work on and simply saying good morning or good-bye in the afternoons if at all. When a colleague/employee reports that I have made them uncomfortable and there is no evidence or additional information it makes me extremely uncomfortable. In fact, I consider this as potential examples of “whistleblowing” and “character assassination” that could impact my 20-year professional career and relationship with Robert Half. Further, I would be remiss that as a woman of color when a white male conveys that I have made him uncomfortable in the work environment, I need to know the details for my own personal protection and professional livelihood.

• Finally, there was a timesheet issue. I did not complete my timesheet on Friday, July 15th but instead on July 16th (Saturday). I inputted 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. which signaled a missed lunch meal. This was my fault. I should have documented 8:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m. (We actually had a prospective student call at 1:00 p.m. and then went to lunch). It was after this time that I received the call from my family member and did not return to the building until I went back to speak with Ben about what happened. I apologize but I do not remember the exact time. However, it is important to note that this was not an attempt to falsify time, but I just could not remember and needed to get the timesheet in.

Concerns with preparation and professionalism from GSPM:

I would be remiss if I did not state that I can tell the GSPM team is committed and a hard-working team. However, I think with the many transitions such as Dr. Lara Brown leaving the organization and the hiring of a new Dean can impact the culture of the organization as well increase anxiety. Individuals such as Ryan (outgoing Associate Director) and Annie (Administrative Assistant) were incredible in introducing me to the school and work on Tuesday, July 6th. The meeting with Ryan was very informative and gave me insight on how I could at minimum be helpful to the team early in the assignment. Some of my questions included:

1. Are there any outstanding projects that need to get done now?

2. Are there key summer projects or preparation tasks that need to be in process?

3. How should I be working with or supporting Ben at this juncture?

4. Are there weekly or monthly reports to be shared with Dr. Brown or Sarah in terms of enrollment?

5. Are they key people in general admissions for GWU that I should be in communication with to ensure enrollment targets?

6. Who manages the student ambassadors and are there ways I can be helpful with renewal and recruitment?

These were just a few questions that Ryan responded to thoughtfully to provide some direction for the future days to come.

Ben was helpful as well but was honest in sharing that he was not about sure what he should be training me or the new recruitment officer on at that point. Once the new recruiter came on board, he did ask that we work on a FAQ sheet when engaging with students and begin reaching out to students with incomplete applications. To this end, I do want to reiterate that given the staff changes and the timing (summer) I applaud the staff for doing what they could to get us setup for work. I even acknowledged Ben’s efforts during a Zoom call with Dr. Brown, Sarah, Shay, and other staff members on orientating us to the recruitment process.

Due to this untimely termination and lack of information my other concerns and observations are as follows:

• Lack of discussion regarding job expectations from Sarah and feedback on performance at the end of the first week of work. I was placed in the conference room and instructed to read and study a manual developed by Ryan, review podcasts and recruiting materials.

• Limited interaction with Sarah with the exception of one 1-1 Zoom call regarding work and expectations.

• Some confusion about the responsibility of supervision between Sarah and Ben. While Ben would allude to that fact that he was not my supervisor, his behavior, at times indicated otherwise. I make this statement not knowing if Sarah asked him to fulfill this duty because she was only in the office 1-2 days a week.

• Ben’s allegations, mentioned by James, that I made him uncomfortable. During my limited interactions with him, they were totally based on recruitment questions, processing after meeting with students and projected tasks for the next day. I had no personal contact with him in his office or outside the office as well. If anything, it would be causal work conversation. I would like to note, and this is my opinion only, that Ben may have had issue with the proposed process of recruitment moving forward after Dr. Brown’s departure. It was suggested that I (Joelle Davis Carter) be the first point of contact, the new recruiter serve as the data entry specialist and assist students with paperwork, and Ben would “seal the deal” to get a confirmed commitment from students. I am not sure if he was favorable to the idea of me being the front person since given the team, he was more senior.

• While I understand, I began this role the day after the July 4th holiday, basic and key processed were not in place:

o There was no work computer/laptop or space for specific GWU work

o Paperwork and request for an GWU email was not in place

o There was no access to the building especially if you arrived before 9am

o Paperwork for the GWorld Card was not in progress. This is a critical identification to obtain GWU services and validate oneself as an employee.

Future Recommendations:

I have taken the time to write this correspondence because I am really professionally and personally disheartened by the entire situation. Given that I have collaborated with great people like Sarah before I just do not understand how a brief meeting to explain or clarify what is acceptable in terms of the stringent lunch hours and time sheets did not occur. I have been in the field for quite some time and often do not even complete my own time sheet, I would just review and sign them. Further, in terms of lunches, they were business lunches-cultivating stronger relationships with alumni, identifying speakers and introducing promising students to donors. Therefore, the temporary agency aspect of work is new for me, but the work is something that I can do well. Within 11 days, I was not able to contribute nor demonstrate my capacity to leverage all of the great resources and talent GSPM has to offer the United States and global society.

Request for Additional Compensation and Resignation

While I understand that these positions are “at will” and an individual can be terminated for a number of reasons (justified or not). However, given my recent transition to the area and other higher paying positions I did not accept because I honor and thrive in the GWU culture, I would like to request that you consider the following options:

1) Robert Half Agency would provide me with the opportunity to officially resign from the position of Senior Administrator Assistant rather than being documented as terminated. As I mentioned to James, RH is international and comments such as this matter can follow you forever.

2) James also mentioned that the GSPM team indicated that I was over-qualified for the role. We knew this prior to the offer being given to me. However, as I mentioned to both James and Sarah, there is such great value in working in the “weeds and trenches” to better understand the trends, concerns, and interests to do our jobs better. To this end, I would like to be compensated for the entire period of the original stated contract. One document indicated that this assignment would go from July 5th-September 30, 2022. Another document indicated the assignment would go from July 5th-August 31st. After reading this document, I would like you to strongly consider this proposal. If not, at minimum, I would like to be compensated for the entire week of July 19th-22nd (Given that I was released from the hospital early Tuesday morning and at work on time). I called Ben after speaking with James to retrieve my personal items and he could not let me in the building because he was working remotely.

3) Communication! We all this is key in any professional or personal working relationship. Technology is great but sometimes a face-to-face conversation or reiteration of expectations can yield incredible results for the organization.

In closing, I thank you so much for allowing me to share these thoughts and concerns. Robert Half is an organization that has aided me in times of COV-19 or just challenging work situations. I would like to sustain a strong relationship with both Robert Half, GWU and other incredible clients that you have in your profile. I just found it necessary to share these particulars with the appropriate members of the team and receive any feedback that may aid me in being better in a dynamic, ever-changing workforce.

All the best,

Joelle Davis Carter

Cc: Nikki, RH Customer Loyalty Care Team

Sabrina Minor, Vice President, and Chief People Officer

Desired outcome: 1) Compensate me for the entire term of the contract (July 5th-August 31st)2) To be paid from July 16th-July 91th3) To receive the attention and support to be placed in another role within the Maryland/Washington, DC area

It's pretty obvious you were probably let go due to the being tardy back from lunch, missing a meeting to take a phone call, late to work taking your husband to the airport. I mean, c'mon. Employees, especially temps, have to do better than this. Good luck to you anyway.

Robert Half International Robert Half Office Team of Omaha, NE

I worked successfully with Robert Half in Colorado in 2010 - 2012. I tried to work with them again in 2021. I am competent, skilled, and professional with almost 2 college degrees, 2 professional certificates and a lot of professional experience.

They did get me a job in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I came from Utah, so I had to travel a long ways to take this job (I was not finding proper work and housing in Utah).

I drove over 1800 miles to get here. Robert Half had me report to work right away with no rest at all.

I did like the job they have for me. The job also liked me - that part was a wonderful fit and I want to keep working with them.

But I did contact my employer and told them I am having major issues with Robert Half and will be into work again today when those issues are 100% resolved - they agreed to that.

Robert half is not giving me a way to record my time worked, they are not allowing me to sign up for Direct deposit (they are not providing me with a link to do so), plus they are also making unusual and maybe illegal demands my I 9.

I uploaded my US Passport which is current and legal for my I 9. They are refusing to process it. No other employer has ever had a problem with that same passport which I always provide.

Robert Half are young and very abusive and rude people who run me down and make me feel horrible. I want that to stop as well - I want respect from them.

My employer did say I can direct apply to them as well.

If Robert Half does not properly work out my job which they did get me, in a manner that they promised TODAY - I have determined I will retain an attorney.

I took out a bank loan to travel for this job. Robert Half did also not tell me this was a non-profit job with funding from a grant.

They also did not tell me the town I am in is horribly impoverished and future options are very limited here.

I am not sure why the Omaha Robert Half Team has been so disrespectful and hurtful but I want that to stop.

Desired outcome: To go back to work on the job they have for me, for them to stop bothering me about my legal documents for I 9, to sign up for direct deposit , report my time and be paid properly and treated with respect

Robert Half International age discrimination

Just a typical staffing service with big dreams and nothing more.!

I have had maybe (over the years) at least 2 interview's that didn't go anywhere!. If you're NOT a Gen Y: Gen Y, or Millennials, Robert Half will find anyway to discourage you for pursuing any type of job with them (Robert Half - Staffing Agency is very big on age discrimination!).

Oh ... You will have an interview & be treated like they have found the perfect candidate, Oh and they can't wait to get you to start...
"BUT" that is about it! Once the interview is completed; and they find out your age; or if you ask too many questions ... Robert Half - Staffing Agency is done with you...!

I love the fact you have a recruiter's name, but you call the office; and then have to jump through several hoops to get too them, and then when you finally speak to the recuriter they act like they don't know who you are!

Or even better, you can call Robert Half - Staffing Agency; say at 09:00am and speak with one (1) person who will take a message for either the requirter or the recruiter's boss (?); and they say: "The recruiter will call-You back".; .. BUT this has never happened.

I was offered a job, I was told of the job, & when the job would start on a certain date and time (This was in 2021!) ... I did a 'virtual' job interview... a 'virtual' tour of the office I would be at ... everything was A-OK... then again, I did everthing I was asked, sent in references, filled out electronic paperwork; etc. Well the start job approached.. then it came and went and all I got was a run-around!

The most akward exhange between myself and the Robert Half - Staffing Agency; waswhen I told my recruiter that I had my COVID vaccine and would he like a copy of that too, and 'WOW' did the Robert Half - Staffing Agency recruiter got so nervous; and acted weird about it.!
I can't describe it more than that, but when I mentioned I had the COVID vaccine the recruiterjust seemed really nervous '.

Desired outcome: I want the job that I was promised and went on a a virtual tour for.

Robert Half International accounting

Please, take moment and read the reviews on Indeed, Glassdoor and Yelp. The reviews are written for a reason. This only reflects the people that took the time to write a review. This should help other people in not wasting there time and effort. The office that I had dealt with was located in Mt. Laurel New Jersey. Tried to contact Sales Person ( recruiter ) back, however the " recruiter " will not be in the office this week.
Really ? What kinda of Con Artist runs ? All the different reviews are lying ? The jobs are old and outdated. Mystery jobs. Complete Scam. Adverting Scam.

Robert Half International robert half finance and accounting

The people at Robert Half, Accountemps, Office Team or whatever name they use to attract people play a wonderful game with you, and here's how it works:

Step 1: Make a wide array of promises. One of the staffing agents even said I could get you a $50, 000 a year job within one year of my graduation.

Step 2: Take a ton of assessment tests, for things that have about a 2% chance of you ever doing in the workforce.

Step 3: *crickets and silence* — want to talk to your agent? Good luck! 68 calls to answering machines in eight years, 67 answering machines. Hope they get you a job? Here's a hint: Ontario, California has much more of a hometown feel than Las Vegas, Nevada. If they had done their job, I would still be living there.

Bill Collectors? Not their concern. If you were dying from dehydration in the Mojave Desert and they had all the water in the Hoover Dam, they still wouldn't come by to give you help. The people who work there have their jobs, why would they give two cents about your well-being? I'm convinced the agents saw that commercial with the guy with the fishing pole for State Farm Insurance and said "THAT! That is how I'm going to be with everyone in existence".

I am not kidding you, do you know how many "initial interviews" I had with the staffing agents? 14, in ten years. Sometimes I would call and get told the staffing agent wasn't even there anymore. I've actually been told that more times than got calls about a job.

In conclusion, here's how you stay off the bad side with these people:

1. Figure out how to live, including paying rent, getting food and gas and repairs for your car on zero dollars a year because you have a better chance of making a perfect bracket than you do of getting a hold of them.

2. Be between 22 and 26 and have 30 or more years of experience.

3. They can be abusive to you (yes, I had a staffing person with the OfficeTeam branch in 2015 made 17 different criticisms of me when I walked in including that I had to lose weight, which ppsst, is ILLEGAL to say to someone in California), but don't you dare say anything to them that isn't completely sycophantic.

4. Act completely surprised and dazzled when they promise you the sun, the moon and the stars, even though they will never deliver you anywhere near what they promised.

5. Sit by your phone nonstop between 8:30 and 5:30 every single day, including holidays. On the chance that one of their agents actually calls you and you miss the call, I guarantee you are never going to hear from them again.

6. If they give you a cheap assignment working one day for minimum wage, you better take it even if you got a job on your own. Because I guarantee you that if you say you aren't able to take it, you will be treated like you took a one-way trip to a leper colony.

7. Do not question anything they say or do. The fact you are willing to relocate and smartly not be completely homeless is anathema to them. You have to be rich enough to be able to afford the rents in Irvine without their help, because God knows you won't get their help if you do. Question them and you will get told you were verbally abusive, even though you were just begging and pleading for a job so you wouldn't be without a home.

8. Prepare to hear crickets because they literally will throw you away as soon as you leave the office.

Robert Half International Stay away from robert half international!!!

I came in contact with Robert half International after i graduated from university. I didn't had a lot to do at the time since most of my startup contracts were finished and they gave me a "job" because they saw my resume on different sites and liked what they saw. I did get the job but it was a very rude "interview". First they questioned my degrees I got, even though they had certified copies in front of them. Since that attack didn't work at all ( i was starting to get up at this point) they changed tactic.

They then went after my resume being "not very orderly" and that "i had to do it over". I really don't know what is not orderly or"chaotic" about my resume. here are the titles: Degrees, languages, Work experience, skills. This is pretty obvious. So i asked that horrible beerwench that was interviewing me "what i should have done different" and guess what; she didn't say what could be changed.

So i got up and said that her treatment of potential employees is worse than that of a garbage truck driver and left that wench then and there. A week after that incident i got a call from someone else at Robert Half international for a managers position on a three month contract. It involved restructuring some offices of Robert Half international.

What i have learned there really opened my eyes. people doing the interviews and selection are people who aren't qualified to do this at all. They are unskilled people that have worked in a callcenter picking up phones. rhi gave them a crash course ( very badly done) where the very basic (if that) is being handed out.

I was the manager there and i had to constantly smooth ruffled feathers of the applicants and even between employees. In the beginning some of them told ME, their boss, what to do! In the end i had to fire 97% of the staff because they were: 1) incompetent and unwilling to learn new things, 2) extremely rude towards everyone, 3) a lot of women tried to offer sexual favors to not get fired ( common what are you doing here ... very unprofessional) to which i fired them on the spot.

I could go on and on. Basically i had to clean up the mess some idiotic loser before me made and i did that for 7 of Robert Half's international offices in just 2 months time. Most of it involved firing the entire lot of idiots working there and hiring new ones. I got out of there as soon as the contract was expired.

In 2016 I got actually harassed by a Robert half recruiter calling me every workday for a month! in the end i did pick up and they were asking if i was interested in a "one day job". I flat out refused and told them my current job paid 10x as much as they ever could after which i blocked said telephone number. Fun fact Robert Half International takes half.. that is right 50% of what you earn.

So reader, i know it is a long read but you are now been warned. Stay as far away as possible from Robert Halfs International because they are fraudsters and very unprofessional.

I was laid off in Jan 2015. I hustled hitting all the online job sites, all of the placement firms I could find, and mailedemailed cold resumes to HR departments (I put 1000 miles on my vehicle in a week doing interviews and having meetings) and as a result I got my first Job offer in 72 hours. I declined for a number of reasons and in the next two weeks I...

Robert Half International Poor business

I have been registered with Robert Half International for over 2 years, been on two interviews with the company for my initial setup and have never, not once, been offered an interview for a job much less an email or phone call. I have applied for numerous jobs but not one response. Robert Half International and Accoutemps is not a reputable company and done nothing to help me. I am very dissatified with them and would never recomend them to anyone. When you register with them, they sale you a great service but do not follow through with their end of the bargain. Worthless company!

Robert Half International Unresponsiveness, Unprofessional & possible AGEISM

Terrible! What a waste of time. On initial contact, recruiter (Chris Mazzerina) could not get me into his Parsippany office quick enough, expressed alot of interest, left feeling assured I would find my next job within the month and then it happened, no calls, no responses to email, nothing. Very unprofessional! I called and called. Found and bid on over 10 jobs that I was more than qualifed for AND I contacted over 10 recruiters at RHI and not one responded to my calls or emails...not even a thanks but no thanks! Recruiters that I contacted & received no response were: Chris Mazzerina, Richard Singer, David Denooyer, David Ezra, Richard Hecht, James Martinos, Darren Defazio, Williams Bahrs, Joe Abbendate.

Robert Half International Stay away from these people they are the worse

I was a consultant for RHT for well over a year, and when my assignment ended they say “When one door closes another one opens” Yeah Right. Well they didn’t call me, i had to call them and ask, if there were any more assignments. Their excuse is “Oh it’s been slow”. Well about 2 weeks of not hearing from them they have the nerve to send in a Questionnaire and ask “How are we doing”I. I gave them all 1′s and Zeros (This came from their corporate office) as soon as i did this within 1 day I get a call from not 1 or 2 but 5 recruiters who all say, ”don’t worry we will find you a job”? Oh they found a job that paid me less than what I was making previously. Come on, common sense dictates that if i was making $22hr and your offering me $19 an hour do you really think someone is going to accept that, especially with the way gas and rent is.

Just to get $1 more took 3 months to “approve”. When I didnt return their initial phone calls, they got all hot and bothered. When i called them back the recruiter begins to berate me (Or bully me) that I WAS BEING DISRESPECTFUL and that that is no way to act. Excuse me! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE. I brought you guys in a lot of money, had NO complaints from the client and you say this to me. This is a terrible company to work for!I have been with other agencies who were more professional, courteous and treated their employees with dignity and respect. Stay away from these people they are the worse.

Robert Half International Unprofessionald and Bogus Job Advertisements

The company is unprofessional and care less about potential clients. At Robert Half Legal, Chicago IL - They're always smiling and very friendly when they call u to "claim" to have an assignment for you. Robert Half Legal place bogus advertisements daily for jobs they really don't have - just to get you in the door. They're racists and give all the best paying jobs temp or perm to mostly Caucasians people only. You have to call the agency daily over and over to only be allowed to speak to their very rude receptionists and (he or she will) decide if they want to transfer the call to the you request to speak to. The receptionists will hang up on you also. The recruiters will not talk to you unless that can make a commission on you - then they're very friendly and pretend to be concerned about you. I strongly hate Robert Half Legal because they're phony and uncaring about individuals who really need a job, Robert Half Legal is only concerned about commissions and not a prospective candidate for a temporary or permanent position. They're very unconcerned, dirty, cruel and nasty people. As I said earlier, I strongly strongly hate Robert Half Legal ! And, hope and pray their business goes out of business soon - so that the recruiters can see what it feels like to be unemployed and then treated like a dog due to racism and unprofessional on their part. Please don't apply for a temp or permanent job to Robert Half Legal you would be sadly disappointed! Trust me! I would not recommend this agency to a dog for a job!

Reporting a fraud company

Be aware this company is very unethical. They practice discriminatory behavior. They low ball the contract rate and the salary. They don't provide job interviews. I don't know how they stay in business. Someone should report them to the Feds as a fraud company.

Terrible service

I truly believe I was discriminated by Robert Half because if my length of unemployment and age. I had been caught up in the massive business layoffs in 2010 and had a very hard time finding another job even with a career. For 2 years Robert half couldn't even place me in a temporary position, even with my 20.yrs. of experience. I had another coworker with the same amount of experience and noticed she was easily placed (twice). They would call every blue moon with a temp position for an entry level ($9.00/hr. for 20 years experience, really I have bills to pay!). I would not recommend Robert half legal to anyone. They have the professional approach but don't seem to go the extra mile, caused me a lot of emotional distress with false ads and promises during a rough time.

Robert Half International Lazy

These recruiters have to be the laziest people I have met. They call you in for an interview with the recruiter, waste your time and gas and then you never hear from them again. I have been to dozens of these places in Ca, Fl, Tn and always get the same results. Nothing...Zero...Zip...Zilch...Nada! Don't waste your time with them. Do they get compensation just for interviewing people in their office? I wonder. Complete waste of my time.

Robert Half Tech, what can I say about them I have called these guys in Charlotte NC and called and called and called about a job I seen that I felt I was a great candidate for and not once did I get a call back. Then months down the line I get an email asking me to come in for a face to face with the recruiter. basically for a job that I didnt want. I know what you are thinking maybe the job I wanted I was not qualified for. However the job is the exact same job that I am doing now. Next question is what is my beef? Out of professional courtesy you should return a call and an email just once( just to say that we cannot do business or we can.

Robert Half International is nothing more than a den of lying business swine. They sent me on one assignment (through Robert Half Legal) and the assignment, which I regretted taking, was with a litigation preparation firm in Boulder, CO. The "client" was extremely abusive, falsely accused me of leaving early, and then claimed to have let me go when I quit. Robert Half Legal did absolutely NOTHING to protect its contractors from this. Robert Half Legal is a collection of abusive, lying, corporate weasels. DO NOT EVER do business with them.

Robert Half has a markup of over 100%. I interviewed there and found that they were going to pay me 30% less than what I was making before. I asked if I could get a higher rate and the staffing agent told me he couldn't offer me more money because they were not making enough money on this assignment. I found out later that I was getting paid almost 1/3 of what Robert Half was getting form the client. They also lied about few other things, told me not to speak to the client directly, solicited business to my references and tried to get contacts of hiring managers at the places where I used to work, telling me they needed those for "internal compliance". They occasionally called me while I was on assignment on my cell phone to unceremoniously interrupt me from what I was doing and ask such things as "how big is the accounting department", "did the company hire someone recently " and other internal specifics. I refused to give them the info. They say they offer "benefits" to their salaried professionals. In fact the Health Insurance is very expensive, has a high deductible and doesn't cover most services at 100%. I had to keep paying for Cobra coverage rather than buying this highly restrictive "benefit" from them. Their 401 K plan has no match. The only thing they do pay for is holidays and CTO.

RHI is a commissioned place that only cares about their commissions and if you don't do what they want they will get rid of you. They lie to both customers and employees. They would lie to their mother if it meant making a buck.

They want commissions. They are a bunch of salesmen. They have no skill set. They have a few bullet points they memorize, ala a sales pitch. The rest is just leaching off of people with ACTUAL SKILLS and low-balling them to stupid employers.

Methinks ellen67 is a RHI employee...
Actually, the problem here is that the recruiters you speak of are not lazy, just stupid. Any recruiter worth his/her salt does a proper pre-screen phone interview BEFORE bringing someone in for a face to face and assessments. That allows them to determine whether or not to move forward and can save everyone some time and energy.
