One of the Worst RP Sites
I could fill a book with complaints about how awful this site is, but I'll stick to the main points. To begin with, if you're serious about roleplaying, steer clear of this site. Despite its name, it's a complete misrepresentation. It feels more like a relic from the mid-2000s, akin to Myspace, populated by immature adults still living in their parents' basements. I've encountered individuals in their mid-30s here, one of whom openly admitted to residing in their family's basement. That should give you a glimpse into the demographic you'll find on this site. Anyway, I'll break down my review into four key points.
Roleplay: In simple terms, engaging in roleplay on this site is a rare occurrence unless you happen to be an easily approachable female willing to entertain desperate men flooding your inbox with requests for mundane smut roleplays. The male users here often display behavior that's nothing short of appalling, coming off as inexperienced virgins who have never interacted with a female in their lives, judging by their approach. They often believe that their cheesy pick-up lines give them the right to exploit female users. Furthermore, there are individuals with disturbing fetishes such as incest, age-play, and adultery.
If you're a male seeking to engage in roleplay with a female, you might as well forget about it. Most female users here are inactive, merely creating profiles to amass friends. It's not uncommon to see every female user boasting 80-100 friends, a number that's clearly unmanageable. Their main focus seems to be on customizing their profiles and having an abundance of gif images, changing them multiple times a day to garner attention rather than engaging in roleplay.
Some users prioritize being part of groups or families, a peculiar phenomenon on this site. If you're not part of these cliques, you're likely to be ignored or even attacked, as some individuals here behave as if they're still in middle school. At best, you can expect a response to your initial greeting, but more often than not, even that is not forthcoming. If someone expresses interest in starting a roleplay, don't get your hopes up; it's a common occurrence for them to disappear without a trace, leaving you wasting time crafting a starter. This pattern repeats itself frequently. Many users claim to be too busy to respond, yet they're active on their status streams, interacting with users they deem worthy of their time.
Lastly, the standard of writing on this platform is abysmal, making it hardly worth the effort to search for someone to roleplay with here. I'm not suggesting that there aren't skilled roleplayers on this site, but the majority seem to lack even basic proficiency in English. Judging by some of the responses I've come across, it's as if they've never attended an English class in their lives. It's reminiscent of reading the work of a child.
Redundancy of Profiles: As a male who exclusively prefers roleplaying with females, I'll focus solely on the female perspective of this site. It's evident that a significant number of individuals, whether women or men (since many enjoy portraying characters of the opposite gender), seemingly live on this platform, creating new profiles daily. For instance, it's common to come across multiple accounts featuring celebrities like Nina Dobrev or Selena Gomez as character avatars. It's understandable, given their attractiveness and appeal, but they're often chosen because of the allure these celebrities bring.
From my experience here, it's clear that many female users exhibit a sense of insecurity, prioritizing attention-seeking over genuine roleplay engagement. I've witnessed individuals creating three profiles of the same character within a six-month period, only to abandon each profile within a week and repeat the cycle. It's indicative of the kind of users you encounter here, seemingly so bored that they resort to continually creating new profiles.
Drama: As I mentioned earlier in my review, this platform often feels like a haven for individuals stuck in a perpetual middle school mentality. It's rife with unnecessary drama, resulting in people frequently behaving foolishly or immaturely. Additionally, many users feel compelled to share intimate details of their personal lives, a behavior more suited to social media platforms like Facebook rather than a dedicated roleplaying site. Such distractions detract from the main purpose of this platform, and it's best to leave such nonsense elsewhere. I've lost count of the number of times users have confided in me about being targeted or mistreated on this platform, either for not belonging to a group or because of the drama within a group. It seems like some individuals here take their online interactions far too seriously, often to a greater extent than they do their real lives, and that's truly disheartening.
Favoritism: It's glaringly obvious that garnering responses on this platform often depends on portraying a character that aligns with a user's preferences. Speaking from the perspective of a male seeking to roleplay with a female, it's apparent that using a character with a chiseled physique, flaunting an eight-pack, bulging muscles, and overall attractiveness tends to yield favorable responses. Unfortunately, others may not engage unless you embody a specific character from their preferred storyline or universe.
Once more, it's crucial to emphasize that this platform isn't primarily geared towards roleplaying; rather, it often serves as a space for individuals to adopt false personas and squander not just their own time, but also that of others. Frankly, it's not worth investing in unless you're solely interested in accumulating friends without any expectation of genuine interaction.
Roleplayer.me Review: Pros and Cons of the Popular Roleplaying Website
Roleplayer.me is a website that is all about roleplaying. It's a place where you can create your own character and interact with other people who are also interested in roleplaying. However, there are some issues with the website that make it less enjoyable to use.
One of the biggest problems with Roleplayer.me is the amount of ads that are displayed on the website. It seems like every two seconds there is a new ad that pops up, and it can be really annoying. The worst part is that if you want to get rid of the ads, you have to pay money. This seems like a really greedy move on the part of the website owners, and it's not something that users appreciate.
Another issue with Roleplayer.me is that it can be really laggy. This means that the website doesn't run smoothly, and it can be frustrating to use. When you're trying to interact with other people and create a story together, lag can really ruin the experience. It's not clear why the website is so laggy, but it's definitely something that needs to be fixed.
Overall, if you're someone who loves roleplaying, Roleplayer.me might be worth checking out. However, be prepared for a lot of ads and some laggy performance. If you can overlook these issues, you might be able to have a good time on the website. But if you're looking for a smooth and enjoyable roleplaying experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
Mixed Experience with Ad-Free Roleplayer.me: Not for Kids, Beware of Privacy Risks
So, I recently paid to get rid of ads on Roleplayer.me and I gotta say, it's been a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's nice not having to deal with all those pesky ads cluttering up my screen. But on the other hand, I've had some weird experiences with other users.
For example, one person tried to add me using my real name and had my location listed on their profile. That's not cool, man. I tried to report it to the site owner, but they just brushed it off and said it was a coincidence. I'm not so sure about that.
Another issue I've had is that people keep adding me and requesting things that I'm not interested in. Especially those erotika accounts, yikes. I mean, I get that this is a roleplaying site and all, but come on, people. Have some respect.
All in all, I'd say that Roleplayer.me is definitely not a site for kids. It's pretty clear that this is an 18+ kind of place. So if you're looking for a safe and wholesome roleplaying experience, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're into that kind of thing, then hey, knock yourself out. Just be careful who you add and what you share with them.
Roleplayer.me Review: Poor Management, Pedophiles, Bigots, and Plagiarism Galore
I've been using Roleplayer.me on and off for years now, and I have to say, the way this site is managed is just gross. I've been writing in roleplay environments for over fifteen years, and I've seen some bad management, but this is honestly outstanding.
The site is constantly flooded with pedophiles and bigots, and the admin claims they take care of it quickly, but they don't. It's really disgusting. And to make matters worse, the owner thinks it's okay to shove their religion down their users' throats while claiming it's a "family website." It's just ridiculous.
Reporting users does nothing unless there's a woman somewhere in the picture that might have nipples. Theft of original content is rampant on this site. If you're looking for plagiarism and someone to rip off your intellectual property, Roleplayer.me is the place for you! Especially if you don't have a copyright attached to it...and let's be real, most people don't.
What really adds to this cesspool of noxious mental illness and blatant disregard for others is the abuse of other members. From doxing to verbal abuse and slander, it's just awful. And yet, the owner still won't ban users' IPs or DNS.
The ads on this site are incessant and uncontrolled. It's clear that the owner has no idea how to run a website and just wants to line their pockets with whatever feeble coin might be tossed their way. It's really frustrating.
Overall, I would not recommend Roleplayer.me to anyone. It's just not worth it. There are plenty of other roleplay sites out there that are better managed and more user-friendly.
Roleplayer.me Review: A Waste of Time and Full of Inappropriate Content
This website, Roleplayer.me, is not worth your time. It's not much better than roleplay.me, to be honest. The ads are everywhere, and they're clearly designed to make you pay for premium just to get rid of them. But even if you do pay, the site is still laggy and slow. And why would you want to give your debit information to a site that can't even keep its connection secure? It's not worth the risk.
If you're not part of an RPG, you'll just run into storylines that fizzle out. And if you want to be part of an RPG, you'll need to join a clique or group. But be warned: this site is dominated by children. And even the adults here are far from mature. If you're looking for a place to engage in pedophilia or bestiality, this is the site for you. There are accounts with profile pictures of young girls looking suggestive, or just a single dog. It's pretty obvious what these people are after, and it's disgusting.
Honestly, this site should be called plentyofdeadfish.com, because that's what it feels like. The comprehension, interaction, and energy levels are all incredibly low. If you're a real writer, you won't find any appreciation or care for your work here. The PC crowd will only accept work that fits their ideals, so if you don't conform, you're out of luck.
I would highly recommend staying away from this site. There are much better options out there, like Twitter or just writing on a piece of paper at home. Don't waste your time on this weird, delusional, stuck-up site. If you can't tell the difference between RP and reality, or if you just want to make fake online friends, you might fit in here. But for everyone else, it's just not worth it. Move on.
Roleplayer.me Review: Shallow Roleplay, Picky Users, and Lack of Detail
I've been using Roleplayer.me on and off for years, and I have to say, not much has changed. While I agree with the other reviews, I want to focus on the roleplaying aspect of the site. In short, it's a site for roleplaying, but good luck finding someone to roleplay with. The pages are filled with similar playbys, like Selena Gomez or Nina Dobrev, and it's clear that many users are more interested in gathering followers than actually roleplaying.
It's obvious that many users on this site are just churning out profiles like they're on an assembly line. All the profiles are structured the same way, and it's not uncommon to encounter users who claim to have multiple accounts. It's clear that many users are more interested in creating the perfect profile than actually engaging in roleplay.
If you do manage to find someone to roleplay with, be prepared for disappointment. The writing is often reminiscent of grade school, with one-liners and run-on sentences that lack detail. It's clear that many users on this site have never taken an English class.
Another issue with the site is the pickiness of its users. Friend requests are often rejected if your character isn't a model with an eight-pack or a favorite ship among that person's verse. Even those encouraging characters unrelated to their verse still get turned down. It's frustrating to see how picky and narrow-minded many users on this site can be.
Overall, if you're looking for a site where you can roleplay with mature, detail-oriented writers, Roleplayer.me is not the place for you. However, if you're looking for a site where you can act immature, stir up drama, and engage in shallow roleplay, then this site might be right up your alley.
Roleplayer.me: A Disappointing Platform for Roleplaying Enthusiasts
Roleplayer.me is a website that claims to be a hub for roleplaying enthusiasts where creative minds can come together and explore immersive fictional worlds. However, my experience with this website has been nothing short of disappointing. Let me delve into the myriad issues plaguing this platform, leaving users longing for a genuinely engaging roleplaying experience.
One of the most striking observations about Roleplayer.me is the lack of genuine roleplaying and interactions. Roleplayer.me has unfortunately become a hub for mundane individuals who lack creativity and respect. The introductions alone are a clear indication of the prevailing mindset on this site, with many users radiating an overtly sexual tone that overshadows any potential for engaging conversations or meaningful roleplaying experiences. Instead of putting effort into crafting intriguing and thought-provoking interactions, the majority seem content with one-word greetings or responses such as "Hi," "Sure," or "How are you?" Using one's brain to foster stimulating conversations has become a rare occurrence in 2023, as evidenced by the shallow mindset prevalent on this platform.
The troubling truth is that many users on Roleplayer.me prioritize smut above all else, seeking instant gratification rather than investing in compelling storytelling or character development. This focus on explicit content fosters an environment where men mainly believe that using cheesy and terrible pickup lines entitles them to engage in smut roleplays. It is disheartening to witness the objectification of women within these interactions. These individuals need real-world interaction and the opportunity to genuinely communicate with the opposite sex. How they objectify and reduce women to mere objects of desire is disappointing and downright disgusting.
Another common trend is that of false promises made by users on here. It is a recurring pattern to come across individuals who, on their profile walls, proclaim their commitment to respond promptly, either that same night or the following morning, only to vanish from the site for an extended period, often a month or more. While it is understandable that users have lives beyond the platform and that real-life obligations should take precedence, the consistent nature of these unfulfilled promises raises questions about their purpose. What drives individuals to continually make commitments they have no intention of honoring? Encountering numerous accounts that pledge engagement in roleplaying or promise activity on specific dates, only to witness these promises fall by the wayside repeatedly, is disheartening, to say the least. It begs one to ponder why someone would be on a roleplaying site if their real-life commitments are overwhelming. Regardless, it becomes clear that some users prioritize quantity, maintaining an active presence by logging in daily and amassing extensive friend lists. However, their true motivations revolve around seeking self-validation rather than actively participating in meaningful interactions. Such behavior undermines the core essence of roleplaying and leaves devoted users feeling neglected and disenchanted.
Roleplayer.me is rife with users who exhibit a strong sense of selectivity, often rejecting friend requests or blocking other individuals. While personal preferences are understandable and should be respected, the sheer frequency of these rejections raises questions about the underlying motivations behind such actions. It leaves one to ponder whether these users derive satisfaction from turning down requests or if it serves to assert a sense of power and control.
For male users, gaining acceptance on the site can be particularly challenging unless they present themselves with a profile picture depicting a hyper-masculine figure, complete with an eight-pack and bulging muscles. The platform seems to revolve solely around indulging our most carnal desires. This singular focus on physical appearance and sensual passions creates a narrow framework for evaluating and accepting users. As a result, those who do not fit into this mold should be prepared for many rejections when sending out friend requests.
Another aspect of concern on Roleplayer.me is the noticeable presence of cloned profiles, suggesting the existence of clans or roleplay families within the community. These accounts share a striking structure similarity, leading to speculation that certain groups may be actively churning out these profiles. To make matters worse, some individuals even resort to creating multiple accounts, potentially engaging in stalker-like behavior and confronting others if they happen to block one of their profiles. Such experiences are not uncommon, and they raise valid concerns about the overall atmosphere and conduct within the site.
However, a more significant issue lies in the disproportionate focus on Wrestlers, models, and actresses within the female account pool, particularly Selena Gomez. Observing the overwhelming majority of profiles dedicated solely to Gomez, alongside other notable figures like Mila Kunis and Nina Dobrev, is perplexing. While these individuals undoubtedly possess talent and charisma, the excessive concentration on one celebrity creates an unvarying and stagnant environment. This lack of diversity inhibits the exploration of alternative storylines and character dynamics, limiting the potential for creativity and growth within the roleplaying community.
In conclusion, Roleplayer.me fails to live up to its promises as a platform for passionate roleplayers seeking immersive experiences. The site's obsession with explicit roleplays, the lack of genuine creativity, and users' disengagement despite their consistent presence all contribute to a disappointing and unsatisfactory experience. If you seek a thriving and imaginative roleplaying community, it is advisable to look elsewhere, as Roleplayer.me falls far short of delivering on its supposed purpose.
