Very dishonest company
Very dishonest company. Almost all what they told me was a lie. Stay away from this company.
After usin this company, I would nevr recommend them
After usin this company, I would nevr recommend them. I called the main phone number and told the operator I wanted the drain hydro blasted. The tech showed up promptly without the hydro blaster. He quoted me $850 to do the job and I agreed. He came back the next day and did the work, uncloggin the pipe. When he handed me the *** it was for $1200. He was there for 1.5 hours. Over $600 per hour is excessive. He said it was cuz he had to pull up the toilet. If you read the yelp reviews, you see a pattern of the same behavior.

In mid-August 2022, I wasn't surprised to come across some really bad reviews about Rooter Town. So, this young guy shows up to unclog our pipe, but things took a turn for the worse. When he pulled out the snake, it ended up bending the pipe and causing it to burst. Talk about a major mess! The next morning, another guy shows up and has the audacity to say it'll cost us $1500 to fix it. And get this, they were only willing to cover half of the cost. What a bunch of jerks! We made it clear that we just wanted our money back. I had to keep bugging them with phone calls just to get my original payment refunded. Seriously, how on earth do they manage to maintain an A+ rating? Save yourself the trouble and call literally anyone else. Don't even think about taking a chance with Rooter Town!
It was a terrible and scary experience I had with Rooter Town Plumbers
It was a terrible and scary experience I had with Rooter Town Plumbers. I really wish I could give them negative stars! I hired them to install a new hot water heater on July 16. But after a year and a half, the hot water heater started leaking. On April 13, 2022, I called Rooter Town and they sent a technician who arrived one hour late. The technician cleaned and resealed the heater, but just three days later, the leaking started again. On April 16, 2022, I called Rooter Town for the second time and they sent another technician who arrived on time and did more work. However, after just 12 hours, the leaking came back once again. On April 18, 2022, I called Rooter Town again and they sent a third technician who didn't do anything except reschedule to replace the old water heater (which was only one and a half years old) with a new one. On April 19, 2022, the fourth technician took a whopping 7 hours (from 10:30 to 17:30) to replace the old hot water heater with a new one. In total, I met 5 technicians sent by Rooter Town, and each one gave me different answers that caused the leaking. I really hope that my nightmare is finally over with this last job.
In the middle of May 2022, I had a sewer backup in my basement and I called Rooter Town to fix the problem
In the middle of May 2022, I had a sewer backup in my basement and I called Rooter Town to fix the problem. Unfortunately, Rooter Town did a really bad job. They told me that in order to resolve the issue, I needed to have a clean-out installed and the line pressure cleaned (jetted). I agreed to proceed with the work at a reasonable price that we had agreed upon.
About 7 days after the work was completed, the sewer backed up again. The technician explained that sometimes when the sewer is jetted, debris can get pushed up the line and it may take some time to clear, which is probably what caused the clog. They cleared the line for me.
Then, in the first week of August 2022, the sewer backed up once again. Another technician came out and informed me that there was more flaking in the line, so they cleaned it again. On August 7, I sent an email requesting the video showing how the sewer line looked after the second backup and after they cleaned it. I also asked for reimbursement within 15 days for the carpet cleaning expenses, as the odor was not removed and I had to remove and throw away the carpeting and padding.
Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from them since then. It's really disappointing that the carpet cleaning didn't solve the problem and I had to go through the hassle of removing and disposing of the carpet and padding.
I've had a long and tough history with Rooter Town
I've had a long and tough history with Rooter Town. Back in 2018, I managed to scrape together enough money, with the help of a loan from my mom and using up my savings, to pay for some lining and PVC work on my old house. It was built a while ago, you know? The whole thing cost me a whopping $25,000.
But here's the kicker, every year since then, I've had to call them back for this "yearly pipe rooter" thing, which sets me back anywhere from $100 to $400. So, all in all, I've probably shelled out around $50,000 to these guys.
Just today, I had to call them again because my bathroom got backed up. And guess who shows up? Some 20-year-old kid who clearly didn't know what he was doing. All I needed was the $98.00 rooter so I could use my downstairs bathroom. But this punk kid wouldn't leave me alone. He kept pushing for some expensive pipe lining job from my house to the street.
I just finished dealing with a Covid-related financial issue with US Bank, and they were really understanding and kind about it. So, I wasn't about to let this kid talk me into something I didn't need. I made it clear that I wasn't interested, but he just wouldn't take no for an answer.
I'm never going back there again. I've given them so much business, even though I didn't really want to, and this is how they treat me? No respect at all. I'm going to make sure everyone I know hears this story, and I'll do my best to convince them not to use Rooter Town for their plumbing needs.
I called Rooter Town LLC on 9/30/22 to get my sewer line cleaned
I called Rooter Town LLC on 9/30/22 to get my sewer line cleaned. I usually do this every 4-5 years because it tends to back up a bit. The technician started snaking the line and after about 10 minutes, he found some roots. He insisted on showing them to me in an aggressive way. Then he went on a long, self-serving speech about how I urgently needed a camera inspection, which he quoted at $350. I explained that I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income, and he said he would talk to his boss. After 5 minutes, he came back and said they would do the camera inspection for $150. He kept pressuring me to schedule it right away, but I declined. He assured me that he had thoroughly cleaned the line and left.
On 10/6/22, I hired another company to do a camera inspection for $125. The technician showed me that my cast iron sewer line, which is 47 years old, is in good condition. He also showed me that Rooter Town did a terrible job cleaning the line they were hired for. There was a lot of standing water, roots, and debris in the line. It was definitely not thoroughly cleaned. The technician suggested that I ask for a refund or have Rooter Town send another technician with a camera to confirm that they did the job properly.
I called Rooter Town on 10/6/22 to explain the situation, but I was told that a manager would contact me. However, I haven't heard from anyone, and I don't trust these dishonest people to do the right thing and refund my payment. I want to warn others to be careful and avoid this happening to them.
I called Rooter Town cuz my laundry room drain was all backed up
I called Rooter Town cuz my laundry room drain was all backed up. I thought it was clogged inside my house, so I called 'em. They came out and the guy said my drain was clogged with grease. He said I needed a $495.00 hydro jet flush to clean my pipes and fix the problem. So I said okay. But even after the flush, my drain was still clogged. Then he ran a sewer line cleaner through it and said I had roots in my sewer line. He couldn't clear it. So he called his boss and his boss sent a master plumber and another guy. They ran a camera through my line and said it was broken and full of mud. They really pushed me to replace the whole line for $5,500.00, saying they could do it right away. But I had a warranty for my outside pipes, so I told 'em to let the warranty plumbers handle it. Even after that, they kept pressuring me to replace the line. When the warranty plumbers came, they ran a camera down the line and said there were no breaks or mud, just a bunch of roots. They cleaned it out with their line cleaner and fixed the problem. They also told me that the laundry room drain is separate and doesn't have any grease from the sink. So Rooter Town charged me $495 for something I didn't need and didn't fix my problem, even after I paid them $590. I wonder how many old folks they rip off. They really tried to make me pay $5,500 for new pipes I didn't need and charged me $495 for something else I didn't need.
I gotta say, I feel like I gotta leave this review 'cause our experience with RT has been a real rollercoaster ride
I gotta say, I feel like I gotta leave this review 'cause our experience with RT has been a real rollercoaster ride. The people we dealt with were always nice and friendly, can't complain about that. But the end result of what we hired 'em for? Not so great. We bought a water softener and hired RT to install it for us. But guess what? Our water pressure took a major nosedive after that. So we called 'em up and they sent a tech to check it out. This guy tried bypassing the softener, but no improvement. Then he checked the main line and saw water in the access, so he thought it was a leak. I mentioned it had been raining, but he didn't seem to care. Next day, he checked again, still water. So he hits me with a big quote to replace the line, but gives me a discount 'cause of the softener installation. I agreed and we scheduled the replacement. But here's the kicker, the next morning I figured out that if we bypassed the softener completely, the pressure came back. They never even tried that! When RT showed up, I showed the supervisor and he agreed that replacing the line probably wouldn't help. I wanted to cancel, but they said I couldn't get my 4k deposit back, so we went ahead with it. Surprise, surprise, it didn't fix the problem and we still had groundwater. So this weekend, I put the softener valve back in and boom, problem solved. Yeah, we got some discounts, but I'm pretty ticked off that we ended up spending 7.5k for a misdiagnosis. And to make matters worse, they basically forced us into expensive work 'cause of the deposit, and now we gotta replace our driveway too. Insurance won't cover it, so we're out almost 14k in total. I don't think we got scammed, but it sure felt like we were being strong-armed once they realized their mistake. All in all, it's a real letdown.

I saw an ad that said they clean drain lines for $95 or one hour
I saw an ad that said they clean drain lines for $95 or one hour. When the technician came, they raised the price to $240. The technician was only there for 25 minutes. This is false advertising. I checked other reviews and found many people with the same experience.
On 11/24, I ordered a line snake for 95 dollars from Rooter Town LLC
On 11/24, I ordered a line snake for 95 dollars from Rooter Town LLC. They came to snake the line, but after going 53 feet, they said they couldn't go further and needed a camera, which would cost 200 dollars. The next day, they used the camera and said I needed a *** dollar partial line replacement. They kept trying to sell me a next day service, but I declined and wanted a second opinion. They insisted that anyone else would say the same about the replacement. I asked for the video twice the next day, but didn't receive it. I waited a few more days and had another plumber snake the line. He had no problems and went out 100 feet. I called Rooter Town LLC again and told them I wanted the camera charge removed because it was unnecessary, either due to incompetence or fraud. They said I would receive a call again, but despite giving them my number, I never got a call. Finally, I received the camera footage. I would like a full refund for the services that were not completed and the unnecessary upsells.
n has been notified
n has been notified. I am disappointed with the service I received from RooterTown. The technician, Brady, came to clean my laundry room line after I called them for their $95 sewer line cleanout. He mentioned that he could also hydrojet the line for free since it was already accessible. I told him that the main line might also need cleaning, but he didn't seem interested and said it wasn't necessary. He mentioned that they usually charge $395 for the additional cleaning. I didn't agree, but he went ahead and finished cleaning the laundry line. After he was done, he gave me a bill for $490, which I wasn't happy about. I argued with him, but I was frustrated and ended up paying the $395 with my credit card. Later, I realized that I might have been scammed, especially because I'm a senior citizen. So, I contacted my credit card company and told them that I objected to the charge, except for the $95 that was initially advertised. They have withheld $300 from the payment, and I have also informed RooterTown about the situation. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and feel like I was taken advantage of.

On April 25, we had a flooded basement
On April 25, we had a flooded basement. We called RooterTown for their services. Long story short, we had to pay them $5,5000 before they would go any further to complete the job. We paid them. They proceeded to dig up our front yard. We had beautiful, newly-installed sod/artificial grass. They pulled it back and left it lying in folds. They dumped tons of dirt and left it like that for days. Then they told us we needed to pay $7,800 more to complete the job. We had no choice. We paid them. They finished their work and put the grass/turf back, but they did not secure it back like it was. They left it filthy, full of sand and dirt. We sent Karl pictures of the lawn before and after. He did not respond. We called the office to speak to a Manager. We were told he'd call us back. He did not. They are blowing us off. We paid over $13,000 to this company, and for them to blow us off without any regard to our concerns is unprofessional and unacceptable. This is also a Senior Citizen home.
On May 9th, Rooter Town came to fix a plumbing issue
On May 9th, Rooter Town came to fix a plumbing issue. First, they found a pipe that was leaking and in bad condition. They suggested using a camera to inspect the main sewer line and discovered the pipe was damaged in a specific area. They said it needed fixing too. So, I called my son to get his credit card for the payment. They charged him right away, even before finishing the work. That shouldn't have happened until after the work was done. While they were fixing the main sewer line, they accidentally broke some of my flagstone, 4 sprinkler heads, and a sprinkler line. Apparently, these damages were not covered by the contract. When they finished, my yard was a complete mess and I had to pay extra to fix the sprinklers. I've been out of town and just realized that the plumbing they fixed is still leaking. I've tried calling them multiple times to come back and check, but they haven't responded at all. I paid over $7,000 and I still have the same issue.
I hired Rooter Town to snake my main line on recommendation of my plumber
I hired Rooter Town to snake my main line on recommendation of my plumber. Instead, they arrived and snaked the bathtub (which had just been done by my plumber and did not need to be redone). They broke a giant hole through the PVC piping, then left while the entire basement flooded. The broken pipe flooded through the ceiling into the basement, collapsing the ceiling and wrecking the carpets. They were a nightmare to deal with, no-showing twice before we were able to get one of their plumbers out the next day to fix the pipe they broke. They tried telling me multiple times that they didn't do anything wrong, despite the giant cracked hole in my pipe and flood. Then, they argued that while they were at fault, they fixed the pipe they broke so I should be thankful and pay out of pocket for the damages to the home. Since then, I've been trying to get my $95 refunded plus collect on the over $600 worth of drywall and carpet damages they caused. They are now not answering my calls or emails, despite providing them with multiple repair quotes as requested. I had to dispute the service charge with my credit card provider and am now paying out of pocket for repairs, while dealing with mold in my carpets due to their delays. What a terrible company with even worse customer service. This ordeal has cost me a significant amount of time, money, and stress.
I contacted Rooter Town LLC on 9/30/22 to get my sewer line cleaned for $95
I contacted Rooter Town LLC on 9/30/22 to get my sewer line cleaned for $95. They sent a technician who started snaking the line for about 10 minutes. He found some roots and insisted on showing them to me. Then, he went on a long speech about how urgent it was to do a camera inspection and replace the entire sewer line, which could cost around $13000. The technician quoted $350 for the camera inspection, and I noticed similar complaints from others about this high price. I reminded him that I am disabled and on a fixed income, so he said he would talk to his boss. After 5 minutes, he came back and reduced the camera charge to $150. He kept pressuring me to schedule the inspection right away, but I declined. The technician claimed he had thoroughly cleaned the line and left.
On 10/6/22, I hired another company to do a camera inspection and make two video copies of the line before and after cleaning as evidence. They charged me $125 for this service. The technician from the new company showed me that my cast iron sewer line was actually in good condition and said that Rooter Town had done a terrible job cleaning it. In fact, they had left standing water and roots in the line. The technician advised me to ask for a refund or request that Rooter Town send another technician with a camera to confirm that the job was done correctly.
I called Rooter Town on 10/6/22 to explain the problem and ask for their assistance in resolving it. I requested that a manager contact me that day. However, despite multiple attempts, I never received any communication from the company. In the end, I had to pay the new company $260 to clean the line and perform the two camera inspections. Rooter Town's actions were dishonest and can be considered elder abuse.
We had a toilet backup last Sunday night, so we called Rooter Town to clear the blockage
We had a toilet backup last Sunday night, so we called Rooter Town to clear the blockage. The first guy, ***, was nice and cleared the drain. However, he mentioned that he encountered some roots and a possible problem with the pipe alignment, so he recommended scoping the line. A few hours later, they sent a "supervisor," ***, to scope the line. *** blatantly lied to us. He "scoped" the line for less than 10 minutes and claimed that he couldn't scope the entire line due to the abundance of roots. He also mentioned an offset about 40 feet down the line. It's been 5 days, and I've called and texted multiple contacts multiple times, but I still haven't received the video I paid for. (I was told a manager would call me, but I haven't received any communication.) Meanwhile, while he was here, he quoted us $6,000 to dig up a spot right outside our back door for a spot fix and two access points. Only after that, they could clean the line and assess the full extent of the problem, which could potentially cost an additional $18,000 if we need to replace the entire line. He pressured us and used fear tactics, and he even left trash (shoe booties) in our backyard. I called another plumber the next day to scope the line, and there are some roots, but nothing that would completely block the scope. There is no offset at 40 feet. The actual issue is at 120 feet, which is beyond their scope or liner reach. They are dishonest and only interested in taking advantage of their customers and scaring them into paying for unnecessary services. I still haven't received the video I paid for, and I paid almost $300 to be deceived by these scammers. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who has had this experience.
Rooter town was hired by our contractor to fix a backup of a newly installed toilet
Rooter town was hired by our contractor to fix a backup of a newly installed toilet. The plumber assessed the situation and said that there was cast iron plumbing under the pre-existing bathroom in our building that was causing the flushed debris to back up. They cleaned the line and said to help resolve future issues they needed to put in an access line from the outside of the building closer to the original plumbing for easier access and cleanup. They said it would cost $6800. The plumber then said it normally cost $5800 but because of the difficult access to put in the line it would cost me an extra $1000. He assured me this would be the best solution for my problem. I agreed to pay and they sent out a couple guys that dug a hole, attached a pipe to the main sewer line and finished in about 4 hours. A couple weeks later, the same toilet backed up again. I contacted the same plumber. He came out, pulled the toilet again, but this time in cleaning out the line he pushed sewer water up through our shower, through the wall, under cabinets and into the carpet in one of our offices. The plumber’s supervisor came out that afternoon and said Rooter town was not responsible for the flooding, but might consider paying the mitigation costs. I asked why I spent $6800 on an access line if this was the end result. The supervisor then told me the sewage water on my floor, under my cabinets and in my carpet was no big deal and that if I just dried it out, the bacteria would die off. We are a health care facility and what he said is irresponsible and dishonest. When I submitted the cost of the mitigation work, new carpet and base and installation cost, Rooter town said they would only pay half of the damages. My interaction and experience has been very disappointing and I feel they have been unethical at best in their business interactions with me.
Rooter Town has a business practice to mislead the customer with billing and not fulfilling services.
Rooter Town has a business practice to mislead the customer, with the billing process, in addition to not doing what they were paid to do. They came out and were paid $95 to clear a drain at a rental property. I am informed 2 weeks later that the drain has been draining slow from the day they were called out July . The Rooter Town technician ran the cable through the line and recommended the tenant purchase a product to dissolve roots. If the drain had been cleared initially, there would be no need for additional products. The tenant used this product for 3 days with no improvement. While on the phone with the technician, he tried to sell a discounted video scan to locate the roots. I declined, finding it unnecessary. They were scheduled to return in August . Since I used drain cleaner before their return, I was informed of a $95 hazardous material charge, despite no special handling being evident. This was the only charge on the invoice I was asked to sign ($95). After paying, the technician later added an additional $95 charge for another line clearing ($190 total for the day), on top of the $95 paid two weeks prior. Rooter Town does not warranty their work. The employee stated he wouldn't work for free and later my card was charged again (Total $285). If the costs were disclosed upfront, I would have declined the service. The office manager was indifferent about the repeated service. This company does not have a healthy business model, as they seem to deceive and sell unnecessary services. My advice: Fulfill your obligations initially to earn repeat business and referrals.

Rooter Town
3700 Quebec Street
Denver, CO 80207
We had a small backup with our sewer system and needed a plumber to clean our sewer. Rooter Town had an A Plus rating with the ComplaintsBoard.com. Also, Rooter Town is Bonded, Licensed, and Insured. We called Rooter Town. Rooter Town sent a tech to our home that day. The Tech said the problem was in the kitchen line not the sewer line and roto rooted it. The tech advised us to jettison the line. There would be an additional charge to jettison the line. We agreed to pay the additional charge and the line was jettisoned. The tech indicated our system was fine.
On April 19, we experienced a small backup on our sewer system. This backup did not reach the carpet in our storage area. We called Rooter Town and they sent another tech that day. The tech said the problem was in the kitchen line. He roto rooted it and said everything was good. The problem was not in our sewer line as the toilet flushed fine. That was good news—we would not have a huge backup problem.
On April 23, the backup problem had magnified. The water was now flowing to the basement carpeting and storage area. We called Rooter Town and they sent a tech out that same day. The water was still there when the tech arrived. This time the tech checked the main sewer line. He roto rooted the line and found an area where he believed the problem lay. The standing water receded but when he turned on the faucet in the laundry tub, the water flowed back. He roto rooted again and the water receded. He advised us to have the sewer line scoped to find the problem. He felt that as fast as the line drained in the area and then filled up again there might be a worse problem. He arranged for his supervisor to come and scope the line that night. The supervisor scoped the line with his camera and advised us we needed to replace a section of pipe in our front yard. We agreed and the next day (April 24) a crew arrived and replaced the section of broken pipe. The supervisor indicated he would jettison the pipe from the broken area to the house and from the broken area to the main street junction. He said we would be in great shape for about a year and then we would have to have the pipe jettisoned every year. After the pipe was fixed the supervisor told my husband we were in great shape. Everything was fixed. Things were good again. No more backup.
On April 26, we find the cap on the main sewer line in our house is leaking. We call Rooter Town and they send a tech out that day to fix the cap. The tech arrived and replaced the cap. Things were good again. We thought.
Later that day (April 26), the sewer system backed up and flooded our carpet and storage area again. We called Rooter Town and they sent a tech. The tech arrived and found water in the tube from the broken area to the main in the street. He roto rooted the area and found some roots. He said we should be fine. No more backup problem. We hope this is true.
We do not know if we are fine or not. Our storage area where the wet carpet exists needs to be cleaned, the carpet removed, and the things we have in our storage area need to be cleaned or discarded. We feel that the problem with the sewer system should have been solved sooner. If it had been solved sooner, collateral damage to our storage area would not have occurred. The cost to clean and repair the storage area is over $2,000.00. Fortunately, the backup did not spread to the entire basement. We have called the Rooter Town office and asked to speak to a Manager. We have not heard from a Manager. It has been a week. It should not have taken so many trips to fix our sewer problem. The damage to our carpet and storage area should not have occurred. We feel the damage to the carpet and storage area is the responsibility of Rooter Town.

I'm writing about the service I received from Rooter Town LLC on March 21st
I'm writing about the service I received from Rooter Town LLC on March 21st. In my experience, this company operates questionably by providing inaccurate and incomplete information, trying to sell unnecessary services, and focusing on making a quick sale. On March 20th, I called Rooter Town because my home had a backed-up mainline. They advertised a "Rooter Service" for $95 and said they would be the first to arrive between 8 am and 10 am on Saturday. However, the company representative showed up at 10:40 am. He snaked the drain and said he broke through the blockage, but claimed more work was needed. He wanted his supervisor to use a camera to find the source of the problem. Throughout the conversation, he used phrases like "We will take care of you" and "We are a licensed plumbing company" to build trust and justify the additional work. They asked for $295 upfront for the camera, saying their truck was rushing to get to us. This prevented us from seeking help elsewhere. The second representative arrived closer to the scheduled time but still late. He quickly scoped the line and suggested replacing an eight-foot section of our mainline for $6,200. They presented this as the only solution and didn't offer any alternatives. They also mentioned time pressure, claiming we could have flushing toilets by the end of the day if we acted quickly. Feeling pressured, we reluctantly approved the work. On Monday, Rooter Town came to backfill the hole in my front yard. At that time, they tried to upsell me again, saying the pipe damage was extensive and a fiberglass lining was needed for $9,300. They emphasized that it had to be done immediately, citing existing damage, future repair costs, and the need for a trench. The following Tuesday, I received a call from Rooter Town and a surprise visit from a representative due to a financing issue. This issue with the paperwork occurred again on Wednesday. It was only after this ordeal that I realized the questionable ethics of this company. They took advantage of the situation, the urgency of having functioning toilets, weekend work, repetitive trust-building phrases, and a rotation of people pretending to help, to push unnecessary work. After the initial snaking, the drain was working, but I didn't realize it at the time. It was only on Sunday when one of my kids mentioned flushing a toilet that I realized the drain was functioning. This toilet had waste from several people over 18 hours. I was monitoring the system, and nothing backed up on Saturday. It wasn't because we were careful not to flush, but because the initial work was successful. The second representative never provided the promised video or images from the camera inspection, suggesting they knew the line was draining and the pipe replacement was unnecessary. If the pipe had been cracked or damaged, it would make sense to share the imagery. Additionally, they presented the pipe replacement as the only solution, but my research showed other options costing less than $1,000. When I spoke to the workers who replaced the pipe, they confirmed that the pipe was intact and the roots had entered through a seam, which is a common issue. They stressed that pipe replacement was unnecessary. On Monday, the representative who ran the camera system tried to upsell me again, claiming they had cleared out the roots and were familiar with this issue as they frequently repair and replace lines affected by roots. This indicated that the camera inspection was unnecessary, and they had a way to clear roots without replacing the pipe. They used fear tactics, mentioning the cost of future repairs if the problem wasn't resolved immediately and the need for an open trench. They justified the high cost by mentioning their equipment expenses and sending people to Florida for training. However, other plumbing companies in town confirm that pipe coating applications like fiberglass lining can be done without trenches. The pressure to mitigate future costs is a well-known sales technique, and mentioning equipment costs before doing any work is redundant and irrelevant. They even made me sign a document denying the additional fiberglass work, which was filled with fear-inducing phrases referencing what the camera supposedly saw. Yet, they never provided the camera footage. On Tuesday, I received a call and an in-person visit from Rooter Town due to a financing problem. They claimed something was lost in the process and needed to redo the paperwork. I completed the paperwork, and as a parting note, the representative advised me to call the financing company to ensure everything was okay. On Wednesday, I called the financing company and discovered that Rooter Town had created two accounts, one under their name and another under a different local company's name. I had to open a fraud case with the financing company, which has already cost me several hours and will likely require more. The same representative returned on Wednesday and had me sign financing documents for the third time due to a mistyped account number. They mentioned permits and inspections in the work order description, but according to the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, no permits were obtained, and no inspections were conducted. Rooter Town presents itself as a quick and affordable solution for plumbing issues, but they use this as an opportunity to upsell unnecessary work. In my experience, the issue was resolved by the first representative, and he knew it. I was convinced that a camera inspection was necessary, but it turns out that the root issue is well-documented, and only a resolution was needed. The extreme solution of pipe replacement was presented as the only option, and the more common practice of root cleaning was never mentioned. Rooter Town profits from the stress and fear they create in these situations. The financing situation is questionable at best, whether it was a mistake or something more malicious. It should be documented in case this is a recurring problem. It seems unlikely that it was a mere coincidence. Regardless of their intention, the result is the same. I had to sign three different applications, resulting in two lines of credit being opened, one with a company I've never dealt with before. I find it hard to believe this is legal, but I'm not an expert. These inquiries appear on my credit report and have negatively impacted my score by 6 points, dropping my standing from 'excellent' to 'good.' This will likely continue to affect my credit, leading to higher loan rates and making future loan requests more difficult. Rooter Town LLC was unwilling to rectify the issue they created.
