Doors and so called engineers
Had several engineers attending the house in the last few months because the front composite door has been an issue. The front door has been sticking, one day it opens find on others it will not. We have had work men out who identify that the door was missing screws, and the lock slips. Recently, I contacted Safestyle and today I phoned them to be told it is our fault but they did not say that to my face but put it in his report, maybe I should not have told him that the service provided by them is unacceptable and I will not be using Safestyle again as I have to contact them so often and getting poor workmanship or lies.
Desired outcome: I want the door fixed. As at the moment it is not fit for purpose

I was adviced by Adam one of your fitters that I qualified for a replacement front door under guarantee and he phoned from my home and confirmed a Date in July around the 21st/22nd July 2022. I was phoned late afternoon the day before the door was to be fitted that it wast in stock but could not be fitted until August 17th due to staff, but was assured it was in the warehouse and would definitelybe fitted on that date. I then had a phone call Monday 15th August which I missed, I was sent a text message to say due to parts not ordered you need to rearrange appointment to 9th September (which us an unsuitable date for me). I phoned Monday 15th August to speak to a supervisor to explain why I have been misinformed, and was advised would get a phone call within 48 hours (your working hours) so I expected a call at latest by Friday 19th August, but never happened so I phoned yesterday Monday 22nd August and was told someone would phone me! Im still waiting.
Unfortunately I feel I need to put this in writing as I am getting nowhere with your company and have no faith in you ever keeping and appointment even when you make them!

Composite front door
Front door was fitted in November installer advised stiff lock would ease. Lock has never eased if you slam front door it’s very hard to open if not impossible for wife kids grandparents. This is a total safety issue as if a fire broke out you could be trapped in house.
Safestyle sent out engineer from Evander who make the door who advised it’s poorly installed and not fit for purpose. Safestyle have refused to acknowledge report or do anything about it leaving us in total danger of burning to death.
Customer helpline don’t care as have got their money which is all they care about. Customer service is non existent and just fob you off every time you call manager not available or is on annual leave.

Safestyle UK. I have had my windows and doors installed for about 2 years. The windows are good quality or at least they seem to be. The front door I had fitted was a different experience. The first install the door was bowed. This did not sit in the frame well. I have pictures. After cleaning the area I ha notice a gap underneath the door. If I got down to the floor and I could look through the gap and read my neighbours number plate across the road. I then asked for the door to be refitted. That took a few months. Finally they refitted and the gap was gone. The bow still remained. I complained again and eventually they sent what they call an engineer. He agreed I needed a new slab, that's their term for the door. I waited another 6 - 8 weeks. They finally arrived. Great. Only to find out they have the wrong colour door. So they had to reorder a new slab. Hopefully the right colour. I waited again for another 6 to 8 weeks. The time had passed, they came only this time after fitting it the engineer said you wont be happy. the paint work from the factory is in poor quality and down one side its white not grey. My door is grey both sides. The engineer had said I will order a replacement as you will have issues within a few years. He then ordered a new door. You guessed it, I waited another 6 - 8 weeks. I took the day off. I watching telly, I get a call from the engineer asking what colour is my door. I thought that's a weird question. I replied Grey, he said his is white and grey. He never came. I called the office asked for a manager and they said he had a grey door and a white and grey. They said they would call him and call me back. They never called me back. I complained again in writing and got an auto-response so they received the email but no one ever replied. I called and said can I have a date for the door to be fitted. 25th November. That's today. Only thing was safestyle was called on Friday to say they cannot attend as no engineers available. They use to advise me on an install date by text. They don't do that with me any more. I have been let down so many times to get a replacement door. How many times until it becomes not acceptable. I will now be writing to trading standards and I will want to see if Trust pilot remove this as I will write an an honest review. I have pictures of the spray paint they used on my door that is in the window to cover up the poor work. Next step is trading standards and the council.

Windows and door
In February this year we asked for a door /window to be fitted - we had an assessor around who said they would do so but both needed a Lintel for support. On Thursday March 4th the tradesmen came and installed and after they fitted it they informed me that they could not fit the Lintel above the window. The work at that time actually looked good and the guys seemed professional. When they went one of your customers care people rang up and asked me how it went, I said great - they said they had been receiving a lot of complaints and could I do a review, I said yes and did one.
However, I happen to look up at out roof the day after and noticed a 3" gap in the roof above the installation. I rang customer care and they informed me that they would send out there own assessor on the Saturday. He came and admitted it was due to the Lintel not being put in, he took photos and sent them to his bosses, whom he said they were not happy with what had happened. He said this needs urgent attention and would get someone to ring up and organise the work on Monday. A scaffolder appeared on Monday and I had been informed the builder would turn up next day. Tuesday at 12md ai noticed a Safestyle Van outside with someone pointing up to our roof. I thought they were on lunch so decided to leave them - 15 mins later they had vanished. The perlin is hanging on by mm and if this goes the roof goes with it.
I have since sent several emails, rang on at least 3 more occasions and have now filled in an official complaint as per your policy.
Needless to say I have not had any further communication with Safestyle - when ive rang I was always assured somebody would be out.
This is incomprehensible how Safestyle can leave such a deplorable and dangerous situation where they have admitted blame. What I find most frustrating is there absolute lack of communication. We have belongings in the roof and as advised by your assessor we have not been up and the contents are open to the elements.

This has not been resolved to customers satisfaction at all. Why are you still trying to con people. We did not have any hole in our roof untill you came to install window and door. Then you caused £15k worth of damage you have not offered any monies to compensate or even help pay for the damage.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Failed double glazing
In 2013 I purchased double glazing for a bay window. The window consists of eight double glazed units, five of which are now showing misting in the morning when the Windows are cold. When I called the helpline and explained the problem, I was told to give it a month and if the problem still persisted I should call back and they would come out and replace the failed units.
Four weeks later on March the first 2021 I called back to tell them that the Windows are still misting When they are cold, only to be told that because the misting is only apparent when the Windows are cold, they do not class this as a complete failure and therefore will not replace them under their advertsed ten year guarantee.

Issue 1 - Scaffolders contracted by SS cracked window ledge tile when erecting scaffolding. First they denied doing it but we had before photos prepared. Once they admitted fault sent team with a ROOF tile to repair before they took the scaffolding down. Realised they had bought the wrong tile and said they would come back to repair. Heard nothing so called to chase, they denied it again and after repeating we have proof they told us they are too far away and to get quotes to get fixed ourselves and bill them! There is also some damage to the PVC of the bay window which wasn't there when we signed it off and they left lots of mess and scaffolding bits in our garden.
Issue 2 - Noticed the new front door fitted by SS was wonky, repoted day after fitting to be given a repair appointment in November (2 months! after fitting). Now resolved but still not convenient.
Issue 3 - Exactly a month after had all the windows replaced in our home, after some extremely wet weather we have noticed our bay window is leaking internally due to the external flashing not being fitted correctly. We woke up to a huge puddle of water on the windowsill and floor, the ceiling of the bay and plaster was soaked and the curtains have water stains from being soaked. We reported first thing on Monday morning as phone lines are closed on Sundays and was notified an engineer will need to come and assess the issue however they couldn't give a date. 1 week later he came to assess with no equipment but agreed there was a fault and a repair team would need to come and re fit (He did repair the door whilst he was there). We also noticed a crack in the PVC which wasn't there when we signed off the paperwork but appeared after the scaffolders took down the scaffolding. Spoke to customer service team to book the repair and they currently cannot get a team out to us before February which is 5 months time! in the meantime she assured us not to worry and all further damage is covered by our warranty! We are worried as we are facing the wettest and coldest season of the year whilst our property is knowingly left to get even more damaged. We have had 3 significant leaks so far all coming from the blinds brackets, blinds were in place before the installation of new windows.

I'm an ex-customer of SafeStyle and I would like to file a complaint to the company. The reasons for this outcome come down to numerous factors. One of them is the unacceptable behaviour received by them, by this I mean the terrible customer service and the way that they dealt with their damaged products which brings me to the next reason. Bringing over damaged goods and once they noticed them, instead of removing them and ordering new ones they try to "fix them" by using markers to cover up the scratches and the marks. Another reason is the inexcusable neglecting towards mine and my family's needs, such as when the door was having problems getting closed and there was a high risk of robbery, or when the scaffolding was up on my backyard for over 6 months and a piece of it fell just missing my wife's head by a couple of inches making the whole backyard so far against the health and safety regulations and also putting us and our health in danger. After the incident they showed 0 interest into helping us with the situation and they also cancelled 2 appointments booked by me and they were considered as urgent. Another very important factor is that I have requested numerous times to cancel the contract but I had seen no attempt to actually cancel the contract as requested until nearly 2 weeks ago. Even after so many appointments and attempts, they had denied canceling the contract and they also threatened me with the court if I wouldn't accept the 60% penalty of the full price. I wasn't able to find a solution against them so I allowed them to bring the new windows and doors. I would really like to send you some evidence of the damaged goods etc by pictures on an email so you could have a look at it yourselves. I just sent them an email for the door that can't close and they are denying to come over and fix things until the other company that I will make a new contract with come and replace SafeStyles products with theirs.

Door fitting
French doors fitted in dining room to the back garden. Salesman a bit pushy but all seemed to go ok. Constant phone calls beforehand. The fitters arrived and they seemed to be sub contractors who had a trainee with them. To be fair they were very polite and were in and out quickly no mess left. However, the master door jams into the doorframe when using it so we closed it and emailed them.
The phone was answered straight away when it was payment time. Have not been able to contact anyone since.
They replied to my email with no apology just that my request was in a queue and will be dealt with in order of urgency. And don't reply to the email as it makes you go to the bottom of the list. It's been 3 weeks now.
We saved for so long to afford this door that we can't use.

This is the FOURTH time Safestyle have come out to my peoperty in 2019 for
SAME leak under the frame of the door. Each time Ihaving to wait 10 days for
them to come out and look at the problem. It was sealed the last time in
April 2019 and needs doing again. It sounds like it was not a water repellent
sealer to me and if it was why was it not done correctly.

would not even give Safestyle windows Uk a one star but because you have to leave the star to leave a review I have to give a one! They are operating a scam company taking money from people ! On the 23rd August 2019 I Was given a quote for a bay window from Safestyle UK they sent out a sale man con man known as Niel/Nigel Keenan to do the quote! However Whilst I was given the quote He looked at all of the windows and said that he didn't feel that I needed new windows and that they only needed restoration and repairs and said that he could organise this, he then started to take notes of the work he said I needed doing with measurements and noted the repairs and replacements that needed to be done! I was given the price for my new bay window and was given the the quote and was approved for the window from Barclays bank for the finances, however when time came for the measuring for this window when the measurer came and showed me what I was going to get I was not happy with the order and told him I no longer wanted it. I was given a refund from safe styles UK for the £100 that I gave them as a deposit for the bay window! During that time I also was told to transfer £300 to Neil or Nigel Keenan which he said the reason was that was another side to safe style Uk which does that side of the work and bank is different from installation for the bay window! for the restoration work and replacement of the handles and a missing Key lock for back door, he took measurements for my windows that needed repairs put in the mist of him taking out the unit with a chisel and hammer managed to further damage which was a minor damage more! Very poor service
Unfortunately, overall I've had a terrible experience with Just Windows and Conservatories. The pre sales pitch was good and our porch was constructed quickly however the work was not of a high standard with cracks in the pvc, gaps between the panels some of which go all the way through to the outside, scuff marks all over the pvc, and poor roof alignment meaning rainwater runs down the front of the porch instead of into the guttering. My floor tiles were also smashed during installation without asking me if this was ok. I made countless phone calls to try and have these issues fixed, most of the time no one answered and voice messages were never returned. When calls were answered we agreed on numerous dates to have the issues fixed but then no one would ever turn up and without any explanation. Despite numerous requests I never received a receipt for payment or details of the promised 10 year guarantee. 12 months on I've now decided to contract another company to fix the porch.View less

This is a company to Steer well clear of.I agreed to have a new Roof on my Conservatory and Nigel Keenan gave me a quote which I accepted and I gave him a deposit of £400 he failed to do the work when he said he would and after reading Negative reviews on Line I decided to cancel He wouldnt answer any phone calls at all and I had to resort to trading Standards to get my Deposit returned.this took 3months and one bounced cheque before i had my money back. Be very wary of this company they are not what they seem there are plenty of better Firms than this one to deal withView less

Our installation took place with the fitters deliberately not giving us the keys to the front door until we had moved on to the other site as they demonstrated it in use without the keys involved - why? The keys do not lock the door! They also said that the window sill ordered for one of the windows was too short and that the correct one would at the end of the week. Instead when we finally managed to get through to post installation they offered a remedial visit in a month. The fitters actually lied to us and my mother's window (she has advanced Alzheimers) is still not fixed. It will take you about half an hour on hold to get through to post installation and nobody ever calls you back. If you post a new sales enquiry on the web they will call you within fifteen minutes. Horrible customer service, sharp practice and long waits for urgent & vital remedial action. Find another company that will treat you better and is local.

I never actually used Safestyle, only opting for small local contractors - whose work I had seen for Myself and were council approved with recommendations. So this post relates to Safestyle commission paid door-to-door reps in my location. One little chap kept harassing us for months, despite a very clear no cold calling sign. The manager of their branch obtained our number too and started to phone us persistently (basically the last straw for me). When I explained I had read hundreds of negative customer reviews online and was not interested in Safestyles service at any reduced cost, he became belligerent. I ended the call hanging up on him because he would just not take "no" for an answer.in the following weeks, even more reps appeared at our door. They were actually more frequent than local Jehovah witnesses! I lost my temper and asked one particular little 'junkie looking' individual "if he thought our NO cold calling sign was there just for fun"? Next thing I know, this little rep with rotten teeth is standing at the bottom of our steps with his obese district manager, a fat bloke screaming obscenities up at my window, along with playground taunts such as "come down here and say that!?". It was all quite surreal, I'm in my 40's, last time I experienced anything like that was probably in secondary school. You expect to experience such behaviour outside nightclubs with drunken revellers, not on your own doorstep from salesmen. I contemplated phoning the police but opted not to waste police time and simply laugh at them from my window instead. It is not often sales reps make physical threats outside properties but as Safestyle are known for high pressure sales and aggressive reps, I thought I would share my own Safestyle experience here. This is an unprofessional min-wage employment company I would never use or recommend. This company are only worth laughing at. Laugh hard at their reps when they cold call on your property. They know no boundaries and are very arrogant, they only deserve total mockery for their sales reps ridiculous conduct.
patio doors
I had patio doors fitted earlier in the year 2019 and one of the rubber door stoppers was missing . I told the fitters that day and they said they would get one sent in post. nothing arrived. I had problems locking the doors. it took OVER A WEEK to get someone to come and fix them. I had to leave them unlocked for that time. he said he would order the stopper for me. but nothing has arrived.
THIS IS VERY POOR AFTER SERVICE IN MY EYES.

Door lock difficult and become more so, became difficult for wife and I to make secure. Reported. By chance another Safestyle sales rep visited, reported again and he promised to get it dealt with. No response. Used customer care website. No response. Tried fitting team number. No help. Rang customer services, claimed no record! gave me 18 days lead in to rectification! Pensioner with a problem door. I took it up again with sales team, they would not take any ownership of the problem. Phone Safestyle head office, NOBODY was the least bit of help. Got very angry today. Phoned everyone I could get hold of including waiting a VERY long time without response on the 842842 number. I have asked for a phone back with confirmation Safestyle will pay for a local locksmith to sort it today. No help whatsoever. I have given a sales rep my number and made clear that unless this is resolved on Thursday 29th I will warn every one of my facebook and email contacts NOT to use Safestyle and I will write to your HQ accordingly.
faulty product with unhelpful repair team
I had patio doors and windows installed with Safestyle a couple years ago. After 2 years the doors have dropped multiple times and now the silicone is coming away. Not what you would expect at this stage and I can't open the doors as it has dropped so low. I've had engineers come to repair on a few occasions but this time haven't been accommodating at all.
I, like the majority of people, work Monday to Friday throughout the day and work 20+ miles away from home. I had arranged with the post sale team an appointment and specified many times that I needed it
to be as late as possible in the day and I would need an advanced call from the engineer so I could arrange to leave work and get home. Safestyle call me to say he has arrived and can't get to the repair.
Can he come back later after other jobs in the area? No.
Can we rearrange the appointment? No. You have to call another number.
I am now having to wait A MONTH until they can come round. Showed zero understanding to the fact I work weekdays and far away. They can't do weekends. And their attitude?... That's just the way it is. Pick your date and deal with it.
Will not be buying another product from them again. The customer service should go beyond just selling the product.
door frame
the frame has a crack at the bottom I rang them and sent a photo of the crack I asked to have the frame replaced under the guarantee { install 2014 } contract no 947566
after I sent the photo they said I have stood on the frame and I should not have .and its a step over I said the frame must be able to take this and must be poor plastic.. they said they will not cover this under the guarantee.. poor pvc frames from safestyle
rude sales call
I contacted Safewindows.co.uk in 2017 for a quote and after a site visit they told me that they were unable to do the works that I required. They started calling me a few weeks ago to follow this up and I explained why I didn't use them and thought that was that. I have now had 6 calls asking the same question and when I told them again that I didn't need their services I was told to "fu*k off". I really don't expect to be spoken to like that when they didn't want my business in the first place!

Safe style came out to give me a price for a replacement back door stable style. The price was £1044.oo. The original door had 3" threshold
I expected the new door would have the same.The door opens straight off my garden so for obvious reasons I have always had a doormat there.
When the fitter had finished and gone I realised there was only a 1.5mm thresh and the door wouldn't open over my mat. I also want to tile over my existing floor tiles which is impossible with no thresh.
I spoke to Courtney the salesman who told me anyone over 60 yrs of age who orders a door automatically gets a door with an ultra low thresh.
He rang his boss who told him the door would have to be replaced.The door was fitted on March 5th.
As I hadn't heard from them after 2weeks I rand customer services who told me they had never heard anything as ridiculous as the over 60 rule but my new door would be fitted on March 22nd.
At 5.30pm the evening before the fitter rang to say he was not coming, and they were going to do nothing about my useless door that won't even open over my door mat.
I rang Courtney Andrews again, he agreed with me the thresh had not been discussed and to put a complaint in which I did.
A manager rand me today18th March and said I had NOT been Mis-sold the door and the box against "Ultra Low Thresh" had been ticked.
Courtney said he definately hadn't ticked it as we hadn't disgusted it.
In between all this Safestyle said they were doing a good discount that would last 1year and could a manager come out to see me.

He pushed to get me to sign up for a credit agreement, which being a pensioner, I wouldn't do, so no future discount was given.He knew my situation before he came so why come?

Since the windows have been fitted January 2023 the engineers have been back 9 nine times and yet still issues have not been resolved. Windows don't open properly, majority of the windows don't seal, cannot secure ground floor bathroom window, front door hard to open or close and even lock!
