After 90 days and 6 attempts to complete my windows and door I have gave up, it is still wrong and in complete. They will not give compensation and you will find it virtually impossible to talk to any one. When you do get hold of somebody they are reading everything of a script and then resort to rudeness. It was the worst decision we ever made to use Safestyle. Please do not make the same mistake. The advert on TV looks good but the company is rubbish. Mr Reid in Birmingham
my fitted windows
I spoke to one of your advisors on the phone today. I told them about the constant problems I've had with my windows and was informed my gaurantee was up. I have been working abroad for the last 4yrs but have called you on my wife's behalf at least twice a year to complain but surprise surprise you have no recollection of my calls.
Every winter the blinds in my living room sway from side to side due to the window frames not being fitted properly, my upstairs window is full of condensation due to the seels being broke, and my downstairs side window on the main frame won't open due to the handle being broke.
This is a major concern as I have three young girls in the house and think this is a major fire hazard. When I spoke to your advisor all she said was that it's not your issue as my warranty had run out, but it hadn't run out when I was calling you up over my complaints the last 4yrs. I asked about someone fixing the issues and I would pay but all she said is we don't do repairs as your gaurantee is up. I find this outrageous as nothing is said about this in the contract we signed. I hope to hear from you soon as I am very upset about this and will be contacting my local newspaper (Liverpool Echo) to let them warn people about your services or lack of them in this instance

Safestyle UK is one of the worst companies in the Uk in my opinion.Right from the start the staff was extremely rude and their installation was very poor for a company this big.The patio door frame wasn't straight and scratched which they tried to hide with Sellotape.The glass was also scratched in many places.The window which they installed at the front of our house cant even shut properly and has made cracks in the wall above.I gotten in contact with safestyle for them to come and fix these issues but all they keep doing is changing the dates.I do not reccomend this company
harassment
SafeStyle UK continue to phone me even though I have asked them not to and to remove my phone number from their system. They have also passed my number on to other window firms ho are now also phoning me continually. One of SafeStyle UK's former employees who is now working for another window company is also ringing me having taken my number with her when she moved firms. I did not give them permission to give my details out to any other firm or to any other person and I feel this is unlawful and unethical. The widows they did fit for me were not fully completed so why wold I want to do further business with them? How do I stop this continued harassment from them?
Windows - post installation

My problem is post installation.
I was very please with the work men etc...
When they left the house "Work complete" I found the key would not work in the door. I immediately rang Customer Service - I hung on the phone for 20 minutes to then get cut off - I rang back and again it was another 20 minutes hanging on the phone - 40 minutes to get through!
The engineer came out and fixed the problem.
I then found the keys we had cut would only work on the inside of the house and not the outside. I did not have time to ring so I sent an email - "responds within 24 hours" this was Wednesday 11 January. Monday 16 January I had not received a reply. I contacted via phone - again another 15 minutes waiting to get through. They promised that an Installation Engineer would ring me.
No call... I rang back (Another 15 minute wait) on Tuesday 17th. I was told they would not come out to me or ring me as I had not used one of your "Blanks". I had not been provided with a "Blank" nor had I been told I needed this for spare keys - in fact the installers gave me the original to go and get new keys cut - they knew I did not have their "Blanks".
The installation department have refused to ring me to discuss.
I am now left waiting for you to send me some "Blanks" (Sending 2nd class)!.
The whole thing does not make sense as the keys work fine on one side, just not on the other - it would be courtesy for the engineer to ring me to discuss rather than dealing with a customer service assistant who is clearly relaying the messages rather than understanding the problem.
My view is that you are great when getting the customer to sign up and pay and terrible when the installation has been complete.

Patio doors
Bought new front door and replacement patio window in November 2016. Instalation date a day late . I was told that a product fault was seen in the patio doars and that new patio doors were to be made. This would cause a 24 hrs delay in the fitting.
They duly came and fitted the doors. After the first rain the patio doors leaked. Water everywhere!
I called the company to complain. I was told that an area manager would ring me back. Still waiting. A fitter came a week later and said that the drainage holes in the frame hadn't been pearced at production causing the wafter to collet inside the frame and overflowing into my room. He fixed the window.
Next rain December 22nd 2016 more water and noticeable draught from patio doors. Contacted the company again. Rearranged fitter to come- Jan 5th 2017. Scheduled a call back from head office. STILL WAITING.
Am not at all happy. Think I have bought dud replacement windows. Wish I had read these reviews before .

A man came round for a quote for a new front door. First of all, he was really early, and second of all, he was very rude. I explained to him that I wanted a quick quote, but he kept trying to walk off into my house, presumably to lure me to sit down in the living room.
I told him I didn't have time to sit down, and that I just wanted a quick quote, but he said no. He told me that if we didn't sit down, he couldn't give me a quote. I asked how long it would take, and he said anywhere from an hour to a few hours. I said no, and that I just wanted a rough idea of the price. He said no again, and that he couldn't give me any price without sitting down first and talking.
I reiterated that I just wanted a quick quote, and he got very rude and started pushing past me and walked out onto the drive. He said that I wouldn't let him do his job, but his job is to give me a quote, which was what I was asking for. He said he couldn't quote me without telling me all about Safestyle, the history of the company, the products, the warranties etc, but I just wanted a rough guide price on the cost as I was gathering quotes from different companies. He got angrier and said that he was leaving.
I said that he was welcome to come and give me a quote, but that I didn't have time to sit down for hours. He shouted back at me to call him again when I had time to sit down for hours and he drove away quickly. I was left feeling very shocked and shaken that someone who came into my home would treat me like that. My partner was at work, and I have a funny feeling he wouldn't have spoken to a man like that.
The next day we had someone turn up at the door trying to persuade us to get a quote for a new door and windows too this time. I said no thanks.
We have also had a few phone calls from them, which always end in them hanging up on me abruptly when I state that I have already got someone to fit a new door. I found a very polite local company that do fixed price doors (£600 for a PVC door, fitted, to be exact) and I am much happier with how we were treated by them, and I'm so glad after reading these reviews online that we dodged Safestyle, as it looks like we had a lucky escape.
I have posted this review on another review site, but they had it removed because I couldn't prove that they came round to give me a quote. Of course I couldn't prove it, the man didn't actually give me a quote, he didn't even give me a card with his number on it. You can really 'trust' that trust review site when companies can remove your legit review because you don't have an invoice... What if your complaint is about before money has even changed hands, i.e this situation?
My advice: Don't even get a quote. They will hassle you, waste your time, be rude and mess you around. What a joke. I will be reporting this to Watchdog.
Door fitting contract number 1143276
Mrs Wright after a very detailed consultation ordered a new door and bathroom window from Safestyle uk.
Mrs Wrights new door and window were to be fitted 10/10/2016 between 8am-10am. We were told the work would take half a day.
the engineers arrived 1.15pm and left 4.30pm. The told Mrs Wright they would be back the following day and left no explanation of why the work was not being completed on that day.
Tue 11/10/2016 No one from safestyle arrived. I called safestyle who told me somebody would come Wednesday 12/10/1016. It was 4.30pm before a workman came from safestyle and was not able to finish the door or attach the fittings as the original work had not been completed and he did not have the products to complete the job.
The videos enclosed are self explanatory. Mrs Wright is not prepared to pay full price for the inconvenience she has been caused for four days now.
Window salesman was threatening
I am left absolutely shocked and stunned that I have just be subjected to threatening behaviour by the sales rep from Safestyle UK who turned up to provide a quote, but when I said that I was no longer wanting a quote from them, he tried to force his way into my home (I'm a single lady) and when I tried to shut the door he placed his foot in the door to stop me form closing it. He then became very abusive verbally when I asked him to remove his foot and leave. Fortunately for me there was a man in the house who came to my rescue (a sales rep from a respectable company). If I had been completely on my own I have no idea what would have happened. I think I need to report this to the police but not sure if they can do anything about this.
Door fitting and after sales service
We had a composite front door fitted with Safestyle. We were assured by their salesman that this was a family company who employed only in house contractors - lie number one. They use outside contractors and ours just could not wait to get away. 'Any problems call that number' he said as he sat in his van already pulling out the drive. The salesman also advised us the security pad we had on our front door would not be an issue for the installer - lie number two. The installer debated as to whether or not he could replace the security pad on the new door, leading us to believe the installation could not go ahead.To cut a protracted story short, I noticed a day after the installation of the door that my finger was bleeding profusely and I couldn't understand where this had happened. When it happened again, I realised that the screws in the new front door handle were razor sharp and this was how I was injuring myself. I telephoned the Service Centre, holding on for over 13 minutes, to be told someone from the Gloucester Depot would be in touch to arrange an appointment to rectify. No call was received from them. I phoned the Service Centre again, holding on for another 14 minutes, to be told I should have had a call and they put me through to the Gloucester Depot who initially wanted me to wait a further two weeks to have the door rectified. By this time, I had identified further shortcomings with the door. The newly applied mastic was peeling off on the door surround and the door itself would not lock without having to use two hands. All the calls I made to Safestyle were dealt with in an unprofessional manner and at no point did I receive any apology or enquiry as to how badly I had injured myself. Today, a Safestyle fitter called to sort out these problems, making adjustments so that the door could be locked using one hand. I will shortly be having new windows and am just so glad I used them for the door only. Never, ever again. This company purports to be professional but their after sales service is disgraceful and I would never recommend them. I attach a photo of one of my fingers damaged on the sharp screws.
Double Glazing
Had our double glazing fitted 22/06/16 and the kitchen window cracked from top to bottom. A new window was apparently ordered and installation was due to be carried out on Friday 8th July - phoned PM on the Friday to be told the fitters where on a job in Bangor and would call with us on there way home - no one turned up, phoned the following Sat to see where they where as was told the branch manager would phone me - no phone call received. During the following week and multiple phone calls from me I finally got to speak the the branch manager and re-arranged for the window to be replaced on Sat 23rd July, phoned first thing on the 23rd to check they where coming as was told the job had been cancelled and no reason given - I am now awaiting a phone call on Monday to find out why it was replaced.
Once they have your money they are not bothered
Doors
We ordered two new doors from SafeStyle UK believing we would get good customer service from such a large business. It took them 5 visits to our property - the only one they arrived to on time was one that was not booked with us and we were away getting an early morning phone call from someone wanting to gain access to the property. The doors they fitted originally were not in perfect condition. In fact on inspection by a second installation man we were told one should not have been fitted at all! He still managed to not forward on the incriminating photos so the door was never ordered...
After waiting in five times and being promised first calls between 8.30-9.30 which never happened with one department blaming another, and speaking to one individual who was extremely rude the doors have finally been fitted.
We were unable to register a complaint until the work was completed. We were already paying for the doors as we took out the finance option. As we were unable to stop payments to this third party they seemed unconcerned with our issues or any sense of urgency. Our hands were tied
I registered a complaint two days ago to the depot manager who's address I was given. I had no reply. I have chased today for acknowledgement of my email. Nothing.
I cannot encourage people enough to NOT use this company. I have never been so astounded at how wrong they got their service. In all this there was only one person I spoke to who was helpful and apologetic and I would imagine he is the lowest paid person in the office. He is a credit to the company and should maybe consider setting up on his own!
Totally unprofessional
Unprofessional and pushy attitude. Forceful sales technique and the rude manager hung up on the phone when requested to do the quotes some other time.
Door
Am just glad i only had the front door and that was a bit pricey for basic frosted glass 900 pounds plus VAT and installation .They were very pushy on me having the windows and having to pay to have a surveyor for each window to be measured and i was told all my details will be passed on to marketing research bombarding me with nuisance phone calls
Very disgusting for breaching my data protection on to other sales teams
I don't like cold calls and safestyle called twelve months ago.the rep was unprofessional in his conduct and tried to rip us off.
Window fitted to lounge
In April 2013 I had windows installed by this company . After returning from holiday in the October, having had torrential rain whilst I was away, it was noticed that there was water damage to my walls around the window in the lounge. The window had obviously leaked when I was away from home. Despite a repair the problem got worse over the Christmas period, the country experiencing some of the worst rainfall in years. Many engineers came out to the property, each with a different take on where the problem lay. Eventually in April 2014 it seemed the problem was resolved with the window having to be taken out, the window ledge, which had been damaged upon installation causing rising water, being replaced and a complete 'Tidy up' as it was put, to the installation carried out. However it appears that this has not resolved the problem as exactly the same thing is happening again. Wallpaper is now being damaged again and I am so exasperated with the situation I feel that a new window should e fitted.
The staff are not helpful, they can be abrasive and rude and the company never make an attempt to contact you in such situations. Customer service is non existent

Customer service is absolutely ridiculous and annoying
I had new windows fit all round the front of the house by Safestyle, following this the problems started numerous phone calls to sell other products (i.e more windows & doors, soffits and boards) I eventually gave in to the phone calls and invited them round to quote for windows and doors at the rear of the property, the salesman came, gave a verbal quote and because we would not commit there and then he got a bit shirty I told him that we only required the quote at this time which I had already informed the telephone sales person so he left saying ring us when you what to proceed. Again he the phone calls started, after constant hassle I stupidly agreed to a further appointment this time no one turned up for the appointment? then phone calls started again after what became a heated discussion I asked for our phone number to be removed from their data base. Now in January 2016 the phone calls started again stupidly I agreed for someone to attend and guess what once again no one turned up at the arrange time? The next day 13 January 2016, telephone sales rang saying they couldn't get hold of me to confirm the appointment which had already been done the previous day, again after along discussion I said that I wanted no more to do with Safestyle and asked them not to call me again, watch this space?

I had Safestyle Windows UK fit my windows in 2013 and I am still having trouble with my windows, I have the wind coming through the windows, and each time they come they say it is fixed now. Guess what I still have the wind coming though the windows. They have been out to me 12 times now and they have to come out again next month, this is getting a real joke now, I would not recommend this company to anyone now. They cost me over £7000 to have these windows, a lot of other window company's say that they could have done them a lot cheaper and I was ripped off with this company.
Still pestering me with phone calls
Avoid Safestyle. Safestyle Windows are still pestering me with phone calls offering quotations three and a half years after my doors and windows were all replaced by a better company in Spring 2012. I asked both companies to provide quotations, and Safestyle seems unable to accept "no" for an answer. Permission to phone on one occasion to find out why they didn't get the job has been interpreted as permanent permission to continue pestering me. They studiously ignore all instructions to not phone, or to remove me from their listings. I want the phone calls to stop. Top tip - don't give them your phone number, email, or anything else. Don't deal with them at all.
Fitting windows - ref - 1022635
We originally had Safestyle fit a window upstairs last year, which seemed OK. After thinking about our window downstairs and them continually phoning us about special deals we arranged for them to come some time earlier in the year to measure up and have a quote for new windows to be fitted. They can round after our holiday at the beginning of September 2015 and tried to fit the window frame, then found the measurements were wrong and left us with a patched up job, but told us it would be re surveyed to get the correct size for the window(s) We were told the fitters would be coming as quickly as possible, but we were left waiting until Tuesday 20th September 2015. You can guess what happened! Yes you are right! Again it did not fit. In fact I think it was worse than the original job and yes the window frame was too small again! The next day I contact the HQ's and spoke to Dave who said he would sort something out and ring me back. He phoned when I was out and spoke to my wife who arranged for the surveyor to come at about 17.00 as we were both out until that time. When I arrived home at 16.30 there was a card stuck in the side of the front door to say Dave (different Dave - surveyor) had been round and left his phone number. After phoning him he told me he had been round and measured it up again from the outside. I feel that all the window measurements were wrongly made and it looks very unprofessional. After taking so much time off work (and such a mess) I feel we should get a refund! - or a large discount! Not only that my wife is feeling very wheezy from her asthma!
