Covid-19 vaccination exemptions
I am disgusted to hear that employees were forced to leave or will be terminated because they refuse to get the vaccine. Wether it's personal, because of medical reasons or religion, Santander Bank should stand by their employees and if they do not want the vaccine for any reason, there should be other alternatives, such as bi-weekly Covid tests or masks on at all times.
Where are our human rights?
Desired outcome: HR and corporate to evaluate such wrong doings
Car loan
I've had a car loan with Santander for six year. I've never been late somehow my mature date got moved and my last payment isn't due until 12/30/2021. They have submitted to the credit bureau I was late 45 days. That is incorrect and they refuse to fix the report. This [censored] company. I will never use their service ever again. This needs rectified!
Repossession of my vehicle
In 2018bthey got me into a 2016 Chrysler 300. I'm one of the victims that Santander sent a check too as part of the lawsuit. If I read it correctly, they were supposed to wipe all debt away along with returning titles and giving people the vehicles. I have nor been contacted at all as far as getting my vehicle back, I'm sure it has already been sold at auction but I deel that they should at least give me the same black 2016 Chrysler 300 with same miles on it to make up for all the hardship that repossession has caused. Not only that, it's still showing up on my credit reports that I still owe 13k + when it clearly states all debts were wiped away. Where are they at as far as return8ng vehicles to their owners?
Desired outcome: I would like the title to my 2016 Chrysler 300 with at least the same mileage and I want them to take that 13k debt off my credit report immediately
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Repossessed my car knowing I couldn't make my $620 month payment
My credit score was about 560 and they put me into a 2016 Chrysler 300, which was amazing. I was excited as it was my first car I financed. After paying for about 7 months things got harder, I already had 2 children and a 3rd was born, along with a ton of other stuff that made my already crazy payment even harder. Needless to say, the car was repossessed. Now I'm learning about the lawsuit, and I was mailed a check as I was a victim that was included in the lawsuit. The lawsuit says that victims were supposed to get the money and the title to their car and dept wiped clean. Where is my vehicle or another 2016 Chrysler 300? I would like to talk with someone immediately for if this is true, I want my car back or another 2016 Chrysler 300 with same miles. Santander has not contacted me other than to give me a lousy check. Thats all fine and dandy, but it says I'm supposed to get my car title and that's what I want. Santander treated me very badly during this whole process and took advantage of me and my lack of knowledge as far as financing a car. I would like to know where you are at in the process of as far as returning my vehicle with the title.
Desired outcome: I want my my car back or another black 2016 Chrysler 300 with same mileage
They repossessed my car last night.
Customer service
A friend recently tried to rectify a bank made error and has been given the "run around" the past serveral days. Someone put a nickname in front of his legal name when he opened the account, and never had a problem until someone tried to do a "mobile deposit" into his account. The bank rejected the transaction because the name on the check that was made out in his legal name did not match what was on the account. He provied proper, legal documents with his legal, correct name when he opened his account, and now it has been "locked". He has money in that account that he needs but can not access because santander is telling him to keep calling the same departments over and over again with no results. This is santanders fault and this matter must be resolved. This is theft of funds, plain and simple.
Beware and double check when dealing with this bank, their customer services are not helpful.
My truck being repossessed
Got my truck and around 27,000 of my money plus $8,000 in down payment. If I knew that Chrysler capital was Santander. Would have never bought the truck. Told could refinance from the sales rep in a 1 year. Website says does not refinance with customers who have open loans with them. They messed up once on payment and finally got that straightened out. They...

I purchased my truck from santander in 2015.as of todays date I still owe them $10, 007.34 at payments of $539.00 a month. at one time they would not give me a copy of my payments I asked for it it 11/28/21 and i was emailed it only to see that payments that were deferred are charged interest and a lot of my payments only went towards interest. AT TIMES PAYING $550.00 for them to put the whole payment on interest and nothing to principal. this 20.000 truck is adding up to 42.000 with all the repair insurance that santander has put on it please help me. I have the letter from the Attorney Generals office about the lawsuit that was filed against santander and the action that was taken. I am going to find out if any what I can do to join this lawsuit. i really feel that I have been taken. and should have been told of t he lawsuit, 6 yrs later and I am still paying for this Vehicle
Desired outcome: To see if I can come to an agreement on ending these Payments I feel that i have more than paid for this vehicle
Santander Bank would not stop Zelle transaction
Scammed through Zelle at Santander bank. I was looking for a place to live and sent $50 for a application fee through Zelle. Then they wanted first and last months rent so I sent another $1, 000 deposit. Then they asked for another $500 and I sent it but realized immediately that it was a scan. I call the police department and they came and made a police report. Then the police called the bank and filed a report with the bank. Then I went in the following day to see if I could stop the $500 and the bank manager said it was pending. I asked to stop it and I would pay the fee to stop it. The manager said that he couldn't stop the pending. I feel that he should have been able to stop the pending as it had not gone through.
Woburn Police Department incident number 21-1631-0S and dated Sept. 25, 2021. The police officer spoke with Sue at the bank and filed a claim #[protected]. She put a freeze on my account. I have enclosed a license of the man that scammed me and the telephone # he called me from [protected].
Desired outcome: The $500 that I feel should have been stop through Zelle
False credit reporting w damages
I purchased a 2011 BMW 750i just over 6 years ago. I made 72 payments on time and then, in October last year I traded the vehicle in at AutoNation Greenacres Florida. Subsequently, I received notice in December 2020 that Santander USA filed a 30 late notice on my account. I spoke with the Director of Finance at AutoNation and he provided me a letter on their letterhead that due to Covid 19 they had a shortage of staff and thus the final payment was delayed. So after 72 months (6 years of on-time payments), the dealership admits wrongdoing in a document signed by the Director of Finance. I also had my attorney provide a letter that stated that once I conveyed the vehicle to the dealership that I was no longer responsible for the vehicle. Thus, after providing these documents personally to Santander and Experian, and then after hiring Lexington Law to submit our case, Santander has yet to remove the 30 day late. I'm an investor and my credit is imperative. My next step is to file a law suit against Santander and I may be able to pursue damages. Santander is liable and they have a duty to acknowledge the auto dealerships admission of providing the late payment. If you can't get this done please obtain the contact name and address for service of process regarding this matter. I can provide the documents if you need them. Thank You, A. Boyd, Santander Acct#: 4702723
Desired outcome: Remove 30 day late from all credit bureaus ASAP
Car
I'm very dissatisfied with the service and treatment I got when I called in and spoke to a representative about my car note! I called in 2 weeks ago to see if I could defer my payments until I went back to work do to having CoVId 19 and loosing my fiancé to CoVId which is still devastating! The first person I spoke to said they could offer me up to 3 months under the circumstances, but I need to call back closer to my due date! So today I called back and representative told me that the last person gave me false information very rude and inconsiderate and basically said they couldn't put any payments in deferment, but he suggested and said that it will just hit my credit and it will cause my score to go down, but it's okay because it will go back! Which was very inconsiderate on his part, I worked hard for credit and what's happening to me is out of my control CoVId sucks! I pay all my payments on time I have a great payment history with you guys and I pay ahead! Life happens to me which is out of my control... and you tell me you can't do nothing but offer it want hurt your credit that bad!
Desired outcome: A better offer or honored what I was told in the beginning
Salvaged title
I was sold a car without my knowledge with a salvaged title from suburban ford of Waterford. I had gotten into an accident in 2019, and still have no answers from your legal team, escalation department, title department, or anyone that can tell me how you approved a loan on a salvaged title? Now here I am 2 years later still with no answers and no car and lots of lost wages due to this issue. I have for these 2 years been trying to resolve this issue with no outcome.
Desired outcome: a new car paid in full to avoid lawsuits
Credit report entry by santander on vehicle I never owned
In reviewing my credit report today about routine errors I find santander placed a truck I allegedly bought with santander as a lender. I never used santander for anything, I bought no truck, I have no such truck, I signed nothing for such truck, not much I can say since I dont know about it except something occurred 1.2020... My credit report fell 300 points. I have a 2016 gmc and that is the only vehicle I have had since 2016. Santander has made a very serious error and if not removed I shall seek justice in a court of law. I am a 70 year old retired texas peace officer on a fixed income who duties from 26 years were government corruption and homicide... Remove me from this or put me in jail for fraud and we will go from there. I have never been contacted by santander at any time
Desired outcome: remove from my credit report
Vehicle repossession with
In July 2021, My vehicle (acct # 21471846) was repossessed and sold without any of the legally required documentation being sent to me post repossession by the repo agency nor by Santander. They have reported different balances owed to different credit bureaus, charged multiple "misc. fees" to me post charge off and when asked the have to answer as to what the fees are. They are currently illegally calling me to to attempt to collect a deficiency balance that, due to their own actions, they have no legal claim to. Additionally, I am sure that if my loan was audited by anyone with integrity and a braincell, it would conclude that I should have been included in the class action suit because my interest rate was 27% at the time and my income was barely $1700/month and my credit score was close to 525. My car payment was $568 which I struggled with every month in attempt to pay Now I have to take the time to pursue legal recourse just to get this whole situation corrected, mainly my credit straightened out. How is it that this company has and continues to violate so many laws which harms its consumers is still in business?
The amount of illegal business practices this company has and continues to engage in is completely overwhelming. At this point if they just corrected what is reported to the credit bureau, meaning show my account as paid in full so that it is no longer an negative mark, then I would be somewhat satisfied
Desired outcome: to have my account reflect that it is not a charge off but rather paid in full as it is legally required to do considering it violated multiple laws post repossession.
Service
I was fiancee through this place on my mazda, they keep telling me that I was behind on my payments and wanting more money. After I refused them they had my car repoed.. They still took money out of my account after that. They took over 2 grand from me. They only approved me for a loan with a co signer in the first place. After they repoed my car they were harassing him also. I had made my payments and I was on social security disability and they were draining my bank account. After they sold the car they said I still owed over 2 grand and sold it to a debt collector, NTSB management, who threatened with civil suits and garnishing my check. I ended up having to pay almost double for the car.
Desired outcome: Money back
Santander false reports
Well after my co-signer which was my mother paying cash for her funeral. I have receipts for all this and my son had a $ 68, 802.20 surgery which I'm working with Congress on this I feel like I'm having and have been having a hardship since having one you never cared at all just double charged me. So that is why I'm going to state attorney generals office. The will see my mothers death certificate, same checking account used to pay for her funeral used to Pay Santander bills from my child being injured $68, 602.20 lost my job Bc of Covid in March 2020. I'm going to see what they say if you don't see that as a hardship idk what else is. Same account I Pay y'all with they will see a bill to the funeral home also.
Desired outcome: Corrected billing/ correct credit reports/ title
Took my car without court order
Santander consumer took my car here in New York visiting relatives. They came without court order and they wanted full balance of the loan. But it was ok when you took my payments and didnt apply them to my account. I asked for payment history and she refused. I'm still waiting. No response on inquiring about where's my car. The guy waited for me to go inside the house because it was not even a minute before I returned the car was gone.
Title change
Hey
I just moved from Florida to Georgia so I was trying to get a new plate since I moved . I was told by Santander that I would get an email and a document mailed to my house couple weeks later . After a certain amount of time, I called them back to get the email and the document but they never did their job, so now i'm leaving for college with my problem not being solved . Also they're so rude to me and always "lying" to me that i would get my documents . So now i'm leavings in less than a week and they just said that i have to do one more step and they were very rude to me explaining the situation.
Won't close my checking account
I have been trying to close my checking account with Santander Bank for months now. When I call they say the account is on hold therefor they are unable to close my account nor send me my money on the account. I have sent them letters stating that I want to close my account with no success. Santander has horrible customer service. They shouldn't even be considered when looking for a new bank.
Desired outcome: I want my account closed and my money mailed to me.
Auto loan and not being told my loan should be forgiven due to $55 lawshue
I was never notified of any class action settlement against a car loan I took out with santander in 2013..Including receiving settlement check and that my loan should be forgiven per the lawsuit resolution. There was no guidance, information from anyone and still is not. I just get repeated phone calls from their collection department, even the the loan was deferred due to covid/interest charged, etc. I would like some guidance as to what protocol I should take to have a letter/notification in writing that the loan is forgiven due to illegal practice/high interest rates, not being applied to principal, etc.
Desired outcome: I would like to have the loan forgiven as stated in the Settlement agreement by NJ attorney general on my particular type of car loan.
I recently found out, after the fact, that Santander Consumer Auto Loans lost a $55 million Class Action Lawsuit for interest rate usuary, offering subprime loans to vulnerable consumers like me and a host of other things. I received a Settlement Check for $261 that was dated June 4th, but not sent until 3 weeks later..then delayed in the mail only to get to me "after the check had a void date of August 3rd". No notices, nothing. I set my communication preferences as electronic so I never assumed anything but emails would be sent to notify me. I was told that certain consumers would have loans forgiven, restitutions etc...yet there are no specifics as to how this is defined...Just that Santander has a mysterious Internal Score that noone knows about but them. well you charged me 26% interest on a 5 year loan that I'm still paying off and it will take another 5 years. This definitely is against the law of how much the states allow for maximum car loans of 16% at the most? So, I still have not received any information in regards to if they will reissue a new check since it was not sent and given a reasonable date to allow for all the delays in USps due to covid, Gov't shut downs and staff shortages, etc. People are struggling and this is how these funds are dispersed? I requested copies of all my statements and the Customer Service agents said they could not email them to me, yet they offer that option on the mobile sight for communication preferences. When I went in to the mobile sight, mysteriously, my statements from the start of my loan in 10/2016 are all gone. Only visible are the last months? I paid over $35-on this loan. I want restitution/forgivness on the interest or the residual principal, plus get it off my credit report. The loan practices and all other forms of "record keeping" are all illegal. This card should have been paid off in 5 years per the details of the financing? How is there still $27, ooo due in order to pay it off? Theres no explanation of fees, nor why one month they applied my payment to principal and another month they'd apply random amount to the interest? Theres a website that shows the Settlement Administrators name and phone number and a website...but they can't give any updated information. They say reach out to Santander to ask about restituion! The same bank that has been scamming me all this time?
see above, in addition Santander sent out a repossession letter, illegally, after deferring payments during covid 19 and posting that on their website to all consumers. Yet, the phone calls and letters of repossesion did not stop! They violated my consumer credit rights, lost my statements, still say I owe them after 5 years the exact same amount as the loan but I paid over $35, 000.00 on this car..it will be another 5 years with their practices!
They did the same thing to me. I never knew about the lawsuit until recently. My loan should have also been included in this settlement. Never got a post card email nothing. Was sold a car on a 1200 month income with a car payment of $585 a month how in the hell was my loan not included in the settlement or why was I never informed of it? I called and asked for help and was told to double up on my payments that’s all they could offer me. Received a repo letter saying my last day to pay anything was Feb 22 and still they have not picked up my car but yet when I call they ask me to pay them. Why would I do that if my last day to pay before repo was over a month ago. My luck I would pay something on it and than the next day the car would be repoed. Something needs fo be done with this company and the people that were not informed of or included in this settlement they need to make it right and do the same for these customers as they did for the others. Not to mention they illegally gave me the loan as they used my husbands paycheck stub as my own as he is not on the loan now on my credit report his employer is listed as mine. This here should be a lawsuit all on it’s own.
Auto loan
This predatory "lender" sold off my "unpaid" balance after they didn't enact the insurance policy they force people to pay for that will pay them the upside-down balance if you default (which I didn't) OR your vehicle is in an accident (mine was, was totaled). They therfore continue to randomly post back to my credit records an "update", when they don't even own the debt amount anymore and are trying to ruin credit history for me. So that the 7yr clock is constantly reset. Because it's actually already expired. These 34 states that sued them for other deceptive practices should have removed their license to practice business in the states, not simple fines but get to keep "lending". More AG incompetence and derelict of duties.
Desired outcome: Remove the entire record of the lender from all reporting records, as if it never existed. That's what 7yrs is supposed to do. And pay me $10,000 restitution for causing subsequent financial harm through credit history bad marks.
